all right check out these the brand new vgi 01 irons Vice golf they brought out irons now you’ve seen in the recent video when I tested out the vgi O2 ions very impressed these are the ones I’ve really got my eye eye on they’re absolutely stunning they really are now you’ll see in this bag I’ve actually got four down to itching wedge and there’s lots of different colors going on because you can actually order them in a number of five different colors black green white pink blue and red they look really cool right in this review I’m going to test the seven iron the pitching wedge and the four iron give us lots of data and start start you know enough talking I am desperate to hit the first shot with these irons the loft of is s iron is 31° let’s give this a rip I’m really intrigued to see how these feel certainly after testing the vgi o2s I think these are going to feel my prediction is a lot [Music] softer that was a nice [Music] strike oh it’s a little tiny bit short maybe I didn’t quite catch every bit of it right what’s interesting about these irons and and I mentioned it in the vg2 review on the box it says vunder kind the definition of that is a person who has achieved great success at a relatively young age and vice golf iicon that is almost a perfect summary for these irons because vies feels like they’ve been around for quite a number of years now certainly making really good quality golf balls well I’ve reviewed them on the channel before always been very impressed with Vice golf balls they’ve now dived into making golf equipment so far they brought out two sets of irons wedges and two different Putters all of the reviews will be coming to this channel so make sure you are subscribed to check them all out and it’s been a lot of years of research this isn’t just an overnite you thing they’ve gone right we make good golf balls let’s stick our name on a set of ions apparently been working for seven years behind the scenes they’ve been working with a company in Germany called hiio Hoin one fittings and they’re Europe’s biggest fitting facility over thousands of golf shots have been hit by amateur golfers if you’ve been for fitted in Germany probably your dat is in there and they’ve used all that data and gone right how do we make a clubs that not designed for tour Pros but designed for average golfers that’s what they’ve produced here so they’ve used all that information and banged it in two sets of irons now they’ve also G on this tagline they are cheaper but not cheap so for a set of seven irons of the vgi o1s it’s going to set you back $1,120 for seven irons that in comparison to tailor made set Callaway missou duno Etc is probably 25% less pretty much you’re looking at about 1,300 $1,400 now for a set of Premium irons so a little bit less but not cheap and in this particular head design the three times forged head and miled finish which I actually think looks amazing two-piece hollow body construction with the hottest facing golf now that Hollow head bit must just be literally that slither there cuz there’s nothing else after that it’s just a lovely little blade here at the top and there’s also got this mini grind if you look very closely at the bottom right on that Leading Edge there’s a little mini grind which is supposed to help with Turf interaction they’ve also increased the bounce on the irons so even if you’re hitting them a bit shallow it should help still with that contact and they made the heads light they believe lighter heads help golfer swing it faster kind of makes sense that they’re literally not just stamping Vice on a set of irons I personally love the word Vice here in this kind of quite fluid text that font where in the other set it’s quite blocky that’s the vice font I’m really big fan of right let’s hit these isons I’ve hit one shot I wasn’t the best starting shot in the world uh by the way these come with standard lampin uh standard utx grips uh they’ve actually just got they’ve got no shaft band on it at all I don’t think they’re making them their own or what but it’s not like it’s Dynamic gold or it’s not like it’s a a particular shaft it’s I don’t even know what shaft it is it’s the same as the V i2s that I tested before which felt pretty good right let’s hit some shots look good behind the ball they really do talk about the looks a bit more behind the ball in a sec yeah that was nice that was nice yeah to be honest I’ve put the flag at 180 yards which is possibly a little bit ambitious for a 31° 7 iron I think I absolutely flushed it would get there those two were very very similar shots to be fair 170 yards carry pretty much think I can get a bit more out of it what I was going to say about the looks a minute ago the bottom Edge this section here of the club is actually quite rounded it’s not super sharp it kind of gives you that level of like you can actually get the club underneath the ball and it’s not going to dig into the ground I think they’ve made a both the sets of irons I’ve tested so far I think they’ve done a a an amazing job on the [Laughter] looks that is a horrendous shot I don’t I don’t know what it is about this set I feel like the head is is quite light almost a little bit too light I’m struggling to really time up the shot I’m using that as a bit of an excuse but where the other set I feel like I was going to hit everything left this I can’t quite figure out where the head is just yet as I’m swinging it down let’s hit a bunch of 7ins and see if we can get that Rhythm back with this [Music] set just trying to work out the difference in in weight with the club head does feel quite different to the sets of irons I’ve hit in the past that’s the [Music] one that’s the one drawing back to Middle just yeah that’s a nice strike yeah maybe just took me a little while to get used to that difference in weight feels like it almost as I’m swinging down the club head’s a little bit more behind me just need to time that club head a little bit better that was nice they feel fantastic like when I’ve struck them in the middle they feel really really good that was nice feel like I’m getting these clubs to to work look a little bit better now that’s a really nice shot okay I’m going to hit one more I’m really enjoying hitting them the feel off the face is phenomenal oh that was the one that is the one really nice just took me a second I felt like in the middle section of that testing I lost a bit of confidence in the head weight but now I found it again they’re really nice strikes I’m actually going to go one more I was going to move on to a different Club but let’s go let’s sneak one more in there I say that’s a sign of a good eyeon when I don’t want to stop hitting it yeah we’re getting dialed in now they’re really nice okay pitching wedge up next this one they’ve actually sent me in the pink detailing I mean someone who will definitely want that set I like I mean I like the fact that you can you know tailor it to yourself customize it show some personality you you can have the the actual letter or the number changed to the color the vice can be changed to the color and then there kind of like little accent line here between the uh between the hollow headed design and almost the bladed section right pitching wedge 46° I’ve put the flag out at 140 which again it’s a little bit on the ambitious side but these should get front edge I love that look behind the ball that’s a really nice looking pitching [Music] wedge thinned it thinned it still managed to get front edge but that wasn’t my cleanest strike we take the result every day yeah front left corar I feel like I’m getting a lot of really good um you know distances but not out of all the isons and getting very good uh front to back dispersion but my right to left dispersion has been a bit off today that was nice tiny bit left but front edge of the green which what I don’t expect I I say a 46 degree wedge is going to carry about that 130 yard spot on again feels nice feels like a really nice soft wedge actually just doing some Keepers up yeah it’s a nice feel it is it’s a nice feel [Music] yeah very good like I said they’re all front edge which that expects with the pitching wedge let’s move to four iron next this four iron is a real bladed four iron 21° I mean it looks great I think it’s going to feel phenomenal when I strike it I’m just uh I’m just slightly dreading the M strikes let’s make sure we don’t have any put the flag down there at 215 oh that was nice oh that was nice look at that for a flight really enjoyed that 28 yards a carry absolutely perfect I’m going to hit a couple of standard ones I want to just try and be maybe creative with a couple as well hit a couple the big high fades in there see what shot shaping these clubs can do strike was good it just turned over on me oh the strike was good great for distance just a little bit pulley I’m just going to try and hit this one shot like a big almost like a big high fade oh yeah it’s so good maybe I should add more often oh it’s so good love that it’s again it’s a gorgeous flight sometimes I find it hard just to make dead strike shots I like to be creative with my shot shape okay last one let’s go I’m going to send this to the moon hit a really high for iron look at the height on that catch a pit catch a bit yes like I just like messing about with those shots I go one more standard one just nice to see what a club can do like can it play the big fade the high one the low one the standard one obviously not bad just a little bit too much draw but again for a a flag that’s 215 yards away I’m perfect for distance okay looking at the numbers listen there’s going to be no huge surprises they’re pretty much tick every box seven iron was carrying at 172 pitching wedge at 132 four iron at 207 you can see the spin rates there that’s the only thing the spin rates on both sets just a little bit lower than normal they’ll probably claim that I’m not using a vice ball that’s why but to be honest good numbers really solid I’m excited I’m excited to see what the future holds for vice I think once they bring out drivers Fairway Woods have got to do a full set of uh getting out the golf course and playing around the golf with a everything Vice that’s a video coming soon it goes back to what it says on the box Wonder kind somebody who has achieved great success at a relatively young age again that cannot summarize Vice golf any more perfectly they’ve smashed it really really really good job
