[Music] the big thing with sand shots uh number one face angle body angle so typically as the club comes into the club the sand is going to close the face so you want to have a little bit of an open open Club face they they talk about a fried egg you want to you want to take the underneath take the Yola so you want to feel like you’re just you’re taking the the yolk out and leaving everything else you don’t want to hit too far behind the ball right you definitely can’t hit too close to the golf ball so you you kind of think of getting a little bit behind the ball our takeaway I like to feel like I’m a little open my ball positions just off the inside of my heel I try to feel like again my face is open I’m not worried about that because I know that I’m trying to turn and close it and I’m letting the the club face and the sand Square it up the things you got to be aware of are your takeaway if I’m trying to hit the ball with distance I want to take it away lower if I’m trying to make it go up and down I’m going to I’m going to be feeling like I’m picking it up and down so on this shot I’m going to have a little bit of of that I’m going to feel like I’m I’m working outside in a little bit you know kind of feel like you’re doing this sensation you do have to make sure that you you’re not just coming straight down you’ve got to go you got to turn so with the sand shot you always got to feel like your handle as you come on the end your handle is working around you don’t don’t feel like you’re here and like you know fman you’ve got to let the golf club work around you a little bit so I’m here I’ll try to pick my [Music] spot and I’ll take that every time every time CU I I you got to practice this a lot to be good at it yeah yeah a lot of people struggle with this because the same thing that makes you hit the ball behind behind the ball they’ll get up here and they’ll open up if you work backwards you’re dead you’ve got to stay into your lead side a little bit you’ve got to make sure that we’re we’re forward there’s not a lot of body motion lower body motion but but just like you’re down and through okay and the more we use this the bounce the better bounce yep there you go give myself too much of a just plug it [Music] so I I would just I would just like that Square open it up uh open it up because the more you open it the more we expose the bounce and that’s what’s going to move going to take care of itself yeah exactly if you get the Leading Edge too much then you’re going to be digging in that’s like it’s a weird sensation but yeah there you go you hear that thump yeah that was the balce you showed me up again oh there you go you showed me up again all right so if if if you you know you trust that yeah it it’ll work right it’s basically just letting everything else do the work for the only time we’re not going to do that so if my ball was was up you know bar you know more of a buried yeah a little bit then you’re going to dig it yeah you’re get out you’re going to have the sensation of I’m going to hit behind it and and I’m going to allow the sand push the ball up and you really have to you have to swing hard at these you now the the sand is what moves that up what about sand types like in ter I mean this is a little softer but obviously around here sometimes you’re not going to get it this the the the it’s not going to change when you get a lot of soft sand you uh the ball comes off slower you get the harder it gets the faster it comes out yep so you just have to account for that basically this is you know for a municipal golf course it’s the biggest struggle you have because these just take a beating with the amount of play that we have so we’re constantly putting new sand in trying to get the rocks out we have the wildlife coming in digging and playing in them so all right thank you all righty let’s see if we can make this putts
