it’s the 1st of July so that means it’s time to talk about the big golf outing that will be headed toward Blaine our mod Hicks was in the neighborhood earlier today to give us a preview of what’s to come later this month hey guys the 3M open is set to return here to TPC Twin Cities in Blaine and it’s the sixth year for this event and whoever can win will take home a whopping $1.5 million but the golfers aren’t the only ones who will benefit from this tournament so will some local charities three of them in fact and they will get a cut of the proceeds while the 3M raises awareness for their charity now Blaine is also set to win from this tournament the 3M is estimating that the area will receive 4-60 million when the tournament concludes now last year’s winner Lee hajes says after the win he and his family celebrated it so hard that he still may be tipsy but all jokes aside he says he’s hopeful he can replicate some of that magic from last year I feel like I’m in a very similar position to where I was last year like I was playing really well but I just couldn’t get my scores to reflect how I was playing um so I’m hoping we’re trending in the right direction as we were last year um I just know that my game’s in a good spot I haven’t played very well I’ve been living around 205th to 40th which is not a great place to be on the PGA tour but um I know I’m playing well so hopefully the Minnesota Vibes come back now if you guys take a look behind me the grand stands are being built so are they the tents everything’s coming up so that mean the 3M open is really close in fact it’s July 22nd and they said as of right now they only have 1,500 volunteers so if you want to see some great golf on a beautiful Golf Course be sure to sign up with 3m reporting in blame I’m a mod Hicks fox9 Sports it is a beautiful course yes I’ve had the playing it once twice
