the 1500 there are the Collegiate and meet records Colin solman is the Collegiate leader he is in this final 12 finalists three from the University of Washington something we’re getting very used to seeing lately laara yeah Washington looking to continue their middle dist dominance the trio they have in this field they won the last Four Mile and 1500 met national titles Nathan green who is in the thi of right there in the center of the pack he’s the reigning Champion Luke Hower swept indoor mile titles in consective years and Joe won outdo in 2022 but you mention ofin the colate leader also watch out ader of Washington the Australian as that H number four on his right side and not surprising they’re going out a little on the slow side typical Championship pace and a lot of jostling they all have to find some room to run so you can see some of them spilling into lane two running the extra distance to St out of trouble Dwight to your point normally in these Championship races it turns into a kick Aon here at the end so Lara who do you think needs to push the pace here to make sure that they don’t get caught kicking with guys that have a stronger kick than them almost everyone has a great kick in this field that’s one of the things you really can’t eliminate anyone in situation as you start to see Liam Murphy navigate his way to the front I think that Colin Salman probably is one who is most comfortable in terms of keeping it honest but when you talk about a kicker race certainly one to watch the hometown duck C Fe Magic 625 for the first 400 a little bit slow certainly slower than they were running in qualifying on Wednesday Luke Hower now taking up the leading duties he’s two times the NCAA indoor mile Champion for the Huskies 2045 at the 800 so just slightly faster on lap number two onest AI you can see there with the Carolina on his chest somewhere in the middle of the pack Adam Spencer doing a great job of attaching himself to Luke Hower Spencer was second to indoors a likely Paris Olympian to represent Australia has the fastone a that’s one of risk in terms of that pedestrian Pace now Joe is right up front as well with honor of South Carolina comes the Bell s and stman right in the front Salman stays in the lead now picking up the pace noticeably the turnover really picking up as the athletes try to get in position for the final 300 meters of this race asai has a great closing kick he’s appeared in a world championship and in an Olympic games but can he get ational looks Inc at but Elliot cook is also right there on the Adam Spencer asman used toy for all that time he Inman on the rail Here Comes Spencer is there this is going to be right to the wire Joe was on the outside breaks the heart of the faithful out leaning their junior Elliot cook of Oregon once again a national champion run by a middle distance runner from Seattle closing in 526 Elliot cook was right there alongside him what a close Joe was knows how to win a championship look at his he’s out in lane behind Adam Spencer with over 100 me to and just grind into another gear you see the fatigue on everyone else man cook was giving it everything but was with the final dig to the Finish look at the fight on the faces for a national title was giving a glance to see exactly where he was at the finish one and 22 runner up to his teammate in 23 and once again Joe wasam is a 1500 Champion that last 700 M with blistering wasam wins it for the second time with a runner up in between 33948 just out leaning Elliot cook of Oregon Adam Spencer of Wisconsin hangs on for third and wasam is downstairs with John for the second time in three years thank you Dwight yeah and he just said goodbye to his teammates who helped him get through this thing and so before we get to the individual talk to me about the team and the importance of having uh having the other two Huskies in this race with you I I wasn’t going to get emotional until later this is my last race as a dog and my boys Nathan and Luke have been there through it all they’ve been through there through every hard workout every single day I could not be more grateful for my teammates and my coaches race itself bell comes still got a pack it’s undecided how is it you managed to navigate the last 400 really the last 50 to come for buying a win it if I’m being honest I wasn’t feeling great um got to 400 to go and I wanted to take it but the guys were just they were fighting and I just knew I knew that it’ come down to the last 100 and um sorry um the Pack 12 Championship we let uh we we let one get by but we weren’t going to let the streak die today it’s five in a row for the dogs I was going to say the mile in the 1500 that’s five in a row for the purple guys in Washington congratulations Jo than you so much

  1. The 🐴 🐎 horse with the longer legs has the edge at the kick…the end although little guy gave it hell but he was no manzano the king of little mustangs

  2. Time to retire for Anas Essayi. Wiping you definitely from all my lists.
Look at the example of Isaac Nader with 3:30:80 and and Olympic medal contender.

  3. Just gonna throw it out there that it looks like Colin Sahlman is not wearing a super spike. Not that it means a lot, but given the little bit of performance gain from them, it could have maybe helped a little with that form breakdown from him in the final 50m. Just speculation of course, but a thought to consider as a runner who noticed a difference after switching to super spikes.

  4. Glad the audio is so low I can't hear the announcers. The woman is the worst, I've never heard anyone use so many words to make the simplest comment or observation.

  5. Correct me if im wrong but why does the USA have no real champion when it comes to middle distance running?

  6. Weird film quality but great race and congrats to those UW boys for an amazing college career. So fun to watch them
