yes my people welcome back to another edition of the regular boys week I think you know today’s a special edition um burial Edition you know what I’m saying no really and truly people you know big up to Big up to everyone that is in Jamaica anyone that is watching from Jamaica hope everyone is safe right I know that Jamaica recently had a hurricane oh category four five I mean every minute the reports change surrounding the category of the hurricane but the most important thing is that everyone is safe um you know saw a report where someone lost their life due to the fact that they were playing football they went to retrieve the football and um the person was washed away right and it’s quite sad to be honest you know try find him but someone did lose their life though um in their own home think a tree fall on top of the the house and um sad stor still the guy get washed away with the flood wat get he’s not found as think think don’t know the thing is do searches youo and find another but the country you know imagine somebody get wash away in waters and you do a SE try find that person you find a next body that’s decomposed oh so that body was from a different thing different make you know people have to be a bit more wise you know hurricane forward and heavy rain and win play ball and try retrieve the ball the goalie you know but I just but otherwise you know me from M you know get you know the brunt of the hurricane to be honest and um it really unfortunate because it affect a lot of people but it’s a part of life and you know hopefully the government will and then he left Winford chafer left the job where he was fired he left he went abroad and um Miguel K would have followed him and um ever since Miguel Coley he has been outside of the country applying his trade getting his coaching badges etc etc and we’re also going to talk about Theodore tapa Whitmore as former reg boys player Paul TGA Davis is urging the Jamaica Football Federation to get back top at Theodore Whitmore through the door to be the head coach of the national team um you know some people will have strong opinions surrounding that um especially me um first of all let me just say I do not think toer should be the coach in the future I think that’s long on and we have to move on from that but we’re going to hear what Paul T Davis had to say surrounding um Theodore tapa wh more but make we start off with um dear G first right because you know dear the best player for Jamaica by a mile you know always performing for the country etc etc now last season you know dear gr he would have left Everton and he went well not last season well last season basically right in the summer start yeah at the start off last season in the summer summer he went to Saudi Arabia Al and we saw like numerous amount of players from the Premier League Etc going over to Saudi and you know say how the league good it’s developing we where Jordan Henderson quickly in couple months him live up you know he was unhappy and you know we’ve heard rumors about Karen Bena being unhappy and he wants to leave etc etc now we’ve not really seen anything about Dem being unhappy but you know we saw news a couple months ago where there was a possibility of him returning back to the English Premier League and and we have an article from give me sport they’re reporting that Southampton cons a move for 94,000 pound a week Winger which is dear GRE now the highlights surrounding this article is dear GRE May return to the Premier League as Southampton and Bournemouth consider offers right um in the article it goes on to read that Southampton and their Coast Rivals Bournemouth are considering whether to offer Demar agree uh what’s this a route back to the Premier League less than 12 months after he joined sa the pro league side Al eifac give me sport understands the 28-year-old Winger headed to the Middle East from Everton last summer to link up with Steven Gerard and has gone on to score four goals in 25 appearances um although etif fakar yet to receive any official offers that could change in the coming weeks as Southampton boss Russell Martin and bth head coach um andon trola I pro league last season um did you watch any games no interested I tell this is one thing as can say with jamaan players and where a lot of people are right about feel more even though I’m not a villa fan feel more connected watching Villa for Bailey watching forar obvious reasons homegrown come from Jamaica really is the the local type of Jamaican you me so honestly no watch for for yeah because really and truly want like give my own opinion surrounding his performances for but due to the fact that I didn’t watch them last season I don’t think many people would have watched alak last season I mean few Jamaicans I would assume would have watched Al season get but I mean if you look at when you look at a league like that you think four goals in 25 appearances is something good just by would it hard when you say a league like that I as say if you’re not watch a league it’s best not to comment too much on the stats you don’t know what the style of play was you don’t know what the team go to you don’t know what type of team they are if you’re a relegation type team so you really just don’t know if you don’t have that type of education about the league it don’t make sense five four goals in 25 appearance could be good for the club that he’s at right now the club that he’s at they as you said spear headed by Steven Gerard um have genal uh who else tooi couple like that but it’s not not anybody tear down Tre is far his best um to just go for the money I believe so yeah it’s not that it’s not a star St team compared to maybe the team name or the team Chris right so you just have take that with a pinch maybe four goals in 25 appearances plus him also have some decent assists think him four goals and three assists that’s a seven goal contributions in 25 games B so but from Turkey who will be playing Champions League football next season they’re also interested right um the thing for me is you know any English player that typically leaves England to go to a place like Saudi Arabia um there’s always that factor of them coming back to England and I think one of the reasons as to why um that possibility always remains is due to family reasons you know what I’m love it there to that extent I mean for a season or two collecting that big check no tax or anything like that then it’s all fine but after a while you want to leave and you want to return to England and I mean for Dem Mar he’s only 28 so it’s not like he’s 35 or 34 36 he still has time he can come back to the English Premier League and you know be um what’s the word be useful you know what I’m saying you know he’s that talented of a player to come back to the Premier League and be of some use to any decent side you know not any really top five or top six side you know what I’m saying so there’s always that factor of like a player like coming back to England when they move over to clubs when they move over to countries like Saudi Arabia or China you know you look at Jordan Henderson you know Henderson live up quick quick quick and a because I think Netherlands that culture would suit him more plus you know it’s one quick flight back to England you know or back to any big European if anything well shakan Davis not shakan Davis wait for me the goalkeeper I think he can be the only player that can leave the Copa America tournament holding his head high in my humble opinion you know what I’m saying what you think job bro job you mean do a job like yeah get bro yeah yeah but once again people move on big up to De G so the next thing I’m move into is um Miguel K right see a lot of folks linking Miguel KY with the reg boys job um and in my opinion I think the job is bigger than Miguel KY I think too much is at stake at this moment in time surrounding what the team is vying for which is qualification for the 2026 World Cup which will be held in the United States of America and you know if you look at Miguel K and his track record I’m going to pull it up on screen so that you guys can see there’s nothing for us to look on or look at to you know really have an opinion surrounding Miguel KY and what he can offer to the national team in terms of style of play or any form of success at that you know what I’m saying um majority of us we know Miguel KY from school board football his time in the Schoolboard football with Jamaica College which you know he had a wonderful time with Jamaica College winning multiple titles now um after finishing up with Jamaica College he was the assistant um manager for the senior team he was the assistant to Winfred schaer the German um coach who was sucked by the Jamaica Football Federation right um big up to Winford chaer because he he carried um the reg boys to a Gold Cup Final against Mexico which he lost 3-1 and I think one thing sheaa do wrong that game there is not starting Darren matox brother you see me say at that time I think Darren matox was one of our best players and he did not start matox for some reason matox come on and he scored the only goal for Jamaica but if you look at Miguel K track record right assistant manager for the national team under Winford schaer he was the manager of the under 23 team right um after that he went away with Winford schaer when Winford schaer was sacked and he went to numerous amount of clubs as the assistant manager to the same Winford schaer and some of these teams you can’t pronounce get me say FC Banas um this one estal FC if I said that correctly um um salal SC I guess SC stands for soccer soccer club and by the way he is the manager last time or last report is stating that he’s the manager of um salal reserves the reserves and I’m not sure where um Sal is I’m guessing it’s somewhere in I would say I don’t want to say Israel I could say Egypt but to be fair should have researched this people right yeah so he we went after all of that he did do sometime I believe in Saudi Arabia or Qatar pardon no Sal I think would be like atatar or that’s where did really do um a whole get a whole lot of coaching experiences from or as neon said UAE right somewhere in that region also he’s also well known um across the world as well he make a name for himself there were um there was a coaching ceremony or something like that and he was pictured with arson venga and all of them coaches there as well him always attend seminars and mesh with a whole lot of top players or top coaches at the highest level see so the man must have wonderful football in education and obviously well we not really judge him off a man a man C right you not really learn much tactics from there but he was one of those coaches where you could really say try to distant themsel from the the not no disrespect to Jamaican coaching but the the low level type of coaching in jamaic really Branch off to the rest of the world for for for feeding mind with information so you never know a lot of people we don’t know what he’s capable of and that can either be a bad thing or a good thing so he could be the gem that Jamaica has always been waiting for but on the other hand could just be an an experience FL just mess up everything right so you really can’t know and for somebody where where mes with and in the same rooms with so many top quality players or coaches on a regular sometime you have to give them the benefit of the doubt and if he backed to do that job then you just have to just G him time and see what him to do at least before bashing him because it’s not like say he hasn’t been in rooms and hasn’t been in seminars and hasn’t been coaching with or learning from top quality persons you me so and um to add to that um salal um it is in Qatar right so yeah but for me as I said before I think too much is at stake to appoint um Miguel Co at this moment in time and you know if if anything at least with um the recent coach hir Al Grimson when he was hired there’s something to look at you know there’s a track record there are videos that you can watch to say that okay this is how he plays or you know the these are his accomplishments with um Iceland as well as other teams as well with um um Miguel kley really and truly there’s nothing to show in terms of um his accomplishments I’m not talking at the Schoolboard football level that is that that level is different compared to International level trying to qualify for World Cups or Copa America or whatever the case is you know on the screen right now I’m looking at you know him being the assistant manager for um salal soccer club The Reserve team at least as well as the assistant assistant manager for um Sal soccer club which would be the the first team right um other than names would be L Banas right um and S EST gal FC G FC I think I pronounced that correctly actually so I don’t know why you’re laughing but anyways um yeah people there’s nothing to really look at look at at this moment in time for me to say that Miguel KY deserves a fair shot at the job or any local Coach any local coach as in any born Jamaican coach at this moment in time I don’t see anyone that we can look at and say you know what um them really and truly deserve a shot with this national team if you look at the Cali players that we have and if you look at what we’re Vine for to reach to the World Cup I mean so many top teams in the region like Panama Costa Rica all these teams they’re also trying to get to the World Cup you know Trinidad and Tobago you know and Mexico they’re going they’re going through um a transition you have Canada who recently appointed a top coach in Jesse March despite what anyone wants to think right he was at um salsburg and you know the like the types of players that come out of salsburg the likes of ering harand sario man um what’s the next one that’s in the EUR Benjamin cesco you know yeah multiple players multiple top players and I think actually early in Hall and I think he was under Jesse March at one point in time as well so when you look at some of these top caliber coaches at different nations in the region Here Comes Jamaica with Miguel kley we’re not going to achieve anything with Miguel KY you know what I’m saying we’re literally not going to achieve anything with Miguel KY and it’s not like it’s Club football where a m would pick up like a z have a like Ronaldo Way some people say he never come to Zan in terms of the success but partially did come down to him you see me but at least Zin Zan was one example where like you have a former player who is the coach who get some form of success with the team and then he can you see Arsenal doe to an extent yes you guys you haven’t won the Premier League but still compared to where m got Arsenal to where it is at now it his success to an extent you know as well as you have the alzo lusin who recently W the tit at least there’s something to look at in terms of clubs doing that in terms of international countries just picking up a random or somebody that really have nothing for show you hard find it you know what I’m saying I know that Argentina did with um SC scalone but to be honest scalone did have a track record in in in all fairness you know you have baa with um U baa have a track record etc etc but with Miguel k bro this is this J bigger than Miguel K what you think um bro as say I don’t know who’s going to come in as Rel I don’t know enough about him um his philosophy his style of play because a lot of people want see no man CH the comments like can’t know what Migel K play is based off how play with j cup it’s that do make no sense right we talk about big up himself and big up all um Neil go said Miguel Coy has left the island island and built his resume learned the game what was Grimmy record before being hired for Jamaica I mean his record was he was in Qatar right had relative success with the team that he was with and then with Iceland he brought him to the 20 2018 World Cup right and um and he was with Iceland in the 2016 Euros granted that he was the assistant manager so there’s something to show you know and when he went to Qatar he was there with that team for a couple seasons and if you do research googlee you can see that there’s information surrounding what H harson was doing before he was appointed as the coach for the reg boys team pertaining to Miguel KY there’s nothing to show only thing we know about Miguel KY is that couple coaching badges but is that enough to get the job especially with the caliber of players that we have and the caliber of players that we’re also trying to recruit is Miguel Coy that guy you know the same the things that we blame harson for in terms of not being a tactician in terms of not making substitutions early enough in terms of not knowing his best team in terms of not solving that Midfield problem yeah in terms of being a coward or a punk in terms of not playing you know on the Forefront a bit more can Miguel KY solve all those like five to six problems I don’t think so and success I’m not Schoolboard football is different level compared to JPL and meleta even though he didn’t really have a track track record he was under one of the brightest Minds that football will ever see which is Guardiola Winford chaer is not the brightest in terms of coaches no disrespect me rather run a risk with a or anybody were from a pep Academy you get me say no the Aral job to be honest he was he was bigger than at the time but back himself and not only did he back himself Arsenal could have sck him from long time you know but Arsenal also backed um Metta but if you look at it what was at risk fora at the time there was nothing at risk not fora what was at risk for AR at the time remember Champions League Football get me was thisam where every season qualify for Champions League and get the job now and need do that on a consistent basis what is at stake now for Jamaica is that we have a World Cup in 2026 right and it’s Unique in the sense that we have three countries already qualified for the World Cup due to the fact that they’re three host Nations we don’t know if we’ll ever see that again especially in this region so really and truly this is the best time to qualify for that World Cup and is it worth taking the risk with a Miguel I do not think so I don’t think so especially when you look at the likes of Canada appointing Jesse Mar you look at Panama making it out of their group in Copa America as well as Canada right you have the United States even though they never make it out of them group still talented so brother Mel Miguel can’t get the job me sorry Neil can’t get the job he cannot get the job simple you see me take some more comments still Jeremiah big up yourself Jeremiah say um we need tested and proven for the national team coach exactly we need somebody that is tested bro um not win for trer harson has brought the team to new heights right we need somebody who is even better than H gson in terms of a track record right and to implement them put them in the position that is vacant right now to push the team to further Heights is not that guy people say Leon Bailey is not that guy and Miguel k for me is not that guy theor theor TOA [ __ ] is also not that guy and Miguel KY can be that guy in the future right because him still a live him still have opportunity to like go somewhere and coach and you know whatever the case is to to of is done you can’t go back to your ex that that they done never six out of 10 or seven out of 10 before and you just left one you have to make sure the one day left or be with right now look make better than one we have just can’t concretely say that with Miguel you can’t go five of or of 10 with potential me that potential bro kids come like PR um again somebody com right um about we should get a white man or whatever the case is so understand the comment if somebody’s qualified for the job with a black white yellow Chinese Asian whatever the case is then appoint them so the team fail to qualify for the 2026 workup when you can cost them then C the Federation from birth right when C them till there’s no more cussing so fail in appointing the next person for the job so I’m not looking at any color in terms of who should get the job you know that’s not the first thing comes to mind when when when I’m looking to hire someone if I was in the position to hire someone I’m looking at the the the the qualification of this person right was record before H him now get the point Makey comat PR say before but but think PR blow out of the water with um that argument before see the reason why is because there was no pressure on Iceland at the time to make the World Cup then making the World Cup was a surprise right it was a it was a great achievement but there was really and truly no expectation at all from the nation or from anyone in Icelandic football to make that World Cup and that is the difference between hiring coach grimy without a track record or without a a real serious track record to go on um coach Iceland right compared to hiring a Miguel KY there where there’s a whole lot of expectation um you just need to make this world cup as Jamaica you need to bro if Jamaica Make This World Cup football in this country is done for for the rest of my lifetime you look it now bro when you go Stadium every time go Stadium bro since last qualifers and everybody six teams ago bro everybody say it every time go hear it if Jamaica make the next World Cup done with Jama football if Jamaica can’t next World Cup support this team so bro there’s a whole lot of pressure on the stake of Jamaican football bro even my father people used to go reg stop watch this so we have very small crop of people that are still willing to support this team and this is kind of like the last grass bro and and to add to that I think Jamaica I think the pressure and the expectation surrounding Jamaica is more compared to like a team a country like Iceland respectfully Iceland is a nobody in football people I disrespect them there nobody no in sports 2016 it was a surprise when beat England you get me saying the Euros in in 1998 Jamaica going to the world in France was a big thing and ever since we’ve always tried to qualify we try go for players over England we try local players and a lot of these players that we had they were not like buom players or anything like that you know these were talented players who probably should have made other other World Cups in the past you know what I’m saying but it just never happened due to other reasons the expectation for Iceland making a World Cup or a Euros tournament it’s not high I don’t think iic people really care if the team makes the World Cup or makes the the the the the Euros now if it’s the case where the fortune is turning where you know they’re becoming more successful to have better players whatever the case is then the pressure will even be more but look at Jamaica now we’ve always had talented players that play for the national team in the past and that can potentially play for the national team so the pressure it has always been there you know say it has always been there so and even to to to respond to the comment as well I can’t pronounce the name because he an Iceland ni name but iir gson before he was the assistant coach for the Iceland national team he was with this that that sound more like Thailand or something like that you see that’s like Thailand like Thailand name but he was with ibf people right you can research it he was with IB no ibv so he was within some clubs um coaching different teams whatever the case is you know so at least there’s something there for I at the time to look at to say okay we can appoint him as the assistant um manager and as di said it’s not like Iceland it’s not like there’s pressure really to go to any major tournaments you know I’m not live I I don’t live in Iceland so I don’t know what the clim is like now surrounding football but we can definitely tell you more pressures on Jamaica to make the 2026 workup than on Iceland I can tell you that for sure especially with the talented group of players that we have nobody can’t tell me otherwise um or Jeremiah say I respect the fact that is proactive in the pursuit of coaching and I respect that as well because Migel not say he was the first person to like really lift up out of Jamaica and pursue his coaching budges but I think he’s one of the names that stand out in that respect in terms of somebody leaving locally and going out there and really venturing out there like when you’re local tell say you say Saudi araban qar try pursue a a career in in management knowy but sometime you just have to take a different path for end up reach the finish line or reach your goal you know and if you look at things now you know football is rapidly developing in Qatar as well as Saudi Arabia you know so even though it’s still a good place to go in terms of to learn a trade maybe not as a football player if you go for the money then fair enough but if you like learn the game it’s it’s a good place to stop you know what I’m saying have a long flight or a flight you have couple stops is a good place to stop before you reach your destination you say um take some comments and just do me aor link in the comment section um Antonio would be a good coach for this team or say yo probably want whole England team jamaic still bro have be realistic which an Jama Anita big up say I’m supporting Miguel Coy to be the next reg boys coach he’s more than qualified I mean let’s see one last say who would you give the job to well really and truly to the JF a short list at this moment in time in terms of potential coaches um you know I’m not privy
