Justin Rose has been known for a long time as having one of the purest swings on tour he’s had a few different coaches in his career but he’s always looked really really good so in this video we’re going to break down as to to what makes it so good why does it look so good and what can we copy if you haven’t liked and subscribed yet then please do it helps me grow and uh I really appreciate it but let’s get straight into it we can just talk about perfect posture there’s absolutely uh nothing to fault here so just going over the checkpoints we’ve got armpits start just straight over the balls of the feet with his knees touching that that’s brilliant his backside he’s got quite a lot of hinge in his hips so his his backside does sit out further away from his heels than some but that’s not the end of the world looking at his grip he actually is has what I would consider quite a weak grip slightly maybe weak left hand very very neutral right hand which is great he’s got a slight amount of tilt to his posture a dress which I like interestingly he has his head tilted arguably the direction where you sort of wouldn’t want someone to do that especially if they wanted to be shallow and and swing from the inside but this might be something Justin does in an effort to maybe try stay more centered in his back swing and maybe stay a bit more left sided setup he’s absolutely Flawless now starting with his takeaway and how he starts to move the club back there’s a few different things here I just want to look at the first one is his right knee and also the butt end of the club so I’m just going to draw some lines on to show you a couple of different reference points is that I quite like which I think is to why his his swing looks so good right from the word go as he starts to move the club away there’s a couple of things going on here right knee is moving in back off that line his hip turning his right leg straightening starts pretty much immediately as he moves the club back which is quite early and and that’s a great feel for amate players you can see from the the face on that from that line I’ve drawn on the top of the logo of his glove his hands actually go down or not his hands go down but the butt end of the club is definitely going down and the net result of that is the club head gets higher so when the when the top of the club goes down the bottom of the club comes up and that is what allows him to keep that club perfectly moving up above plane Club slightly outside his hands he’s got a nice amount of hip turn he’s got a good amount of wrist set in that first position he’s not just straight and um and everything is absolutely in working order at this stage now as we go further into the back swing something that I really like is how well Justin stays in his posture look at that is absolutely perfect his left shoulder moved down his right shoulders moved up he’s turned on a perfect 90° angle to his his initial posture and if you want to strike the ball well then then then this is an absolutely brilliant start I’m just going to draw some lines on the face on video just to have a look at how he’s pivoting so what we’re going to see here is Justin stays very very centered as he pivots the top of his swing his head has not come off the wall not come off the line his hips have pivoted very centered in very much centered so like his right hip is gapped away from that red line as he turns back his right his left hip has stayed up against that wall so he’s made a full 90 degree turn but he’s not moved laterally at all off the ball that there obviously is a weight a pressure shift in this early stage but from really from his takeaway he’s staying centered or even moving slightly towards the target this is something that we see in me many many many tour players they’re not moving laterally they’re not really transferring they wait back for very long in the back swing they’re staying very centered or they’re even moving forwards towards The Target just ticking the other things off here I really like how his left arm is quite flat I love how the club is an extension of his left arm and I really like that his Club face is basically hidden by the shaft which is very very neutral from this position Justin can drop it inside and draw it or stay slightly Steep and cut it he can really do whatever he likes here just taking a look at his wrists and where where we are with those he’s a very flat left wrist but he has an extremely bent back of his right wrist um which means he’s loaded the shaft he’s got the face in a very Square position but he he’s created some angle by bending his right wrist backwards he doesn’t have masses and masses of wrist um which is sort of like the traditional thing we see he but he does have quite a lot of right wrist Bend his right wrist is very extended at the top which is uh which is great oh hey you’re still here thank you so most of you guys watching this are not subscribers and although the few subscribers that are watching this thank you very much for being here I could really do with the help if you subscribe like and comment even if you think I’m stupid that really boosts the engagement it helps get this video out to more people and helps me grow so anything you can do to help that’d be great thanks as row starts down what we’re going to see is a huge lateral hip shift where he’s he’s he’s turning but he’s not turning as fast as you think he’s really getting laterally Shifting the center of his pelvis ahead of the ball making sure that his lead shoulder gets ahead of the ball as these things guarantee good strikes from down the line what we’re going to see here is Justin’s Club head moving back and away from the ball in transition this is that shallow move that everyone’s talking about and this is like an essential thing for widening the arch hitting the ball first and hitting the ball really far that moving the club head back behind and then keeping it behind where it was at the top for as long as possible is a real essential for hitting good long golf shots because Justin so neutral at the top as he sends that club back in behind he’s like perfectly on parallel plane he’s swinging slightly above it boom all the lines are so clean here I like that he’s not spun his hips out too early which is giving him chance to get his arm arms down and the club um on that perfect angle as he drops it in his Club finds the plane which is just in line with his right forearm this is absolute perfection into impact now he’s starting to Pivot out the shot quite hard look at we’re starting to see more of his left leg left hit the back of his left shoulder as he swings through the club comes out underneath his left shoulder pretty much on the parallel plane to his Club at address from face on what was starting he’s going to see that he comes down his hands are ahead of the ball he has that impact where he’s got that long left arm just starting to release the club after the ball’s gone which I really like and then through here just releasing the the head the neck the arms the hips the shoulders into a nice held finish position something I just want to emphasize here is it yes Justin is starting his down swing from the ground up he’s not spinning out of these shots like a lot of amors do due day today people have the wrong idea that you want to get to the top and then turn your hips really fast turn your hips before the rest of your body goes but actually what we see here and this is what we see most tall players is their arms come down so that the hands are below the waist whilst the hips are square and then once we’re in this hands below waist position we then start to Pivot out the shot really hard and this is correct sequencing so it’s not get top and spin out as hard as you possibly can yes we are turning but we’re we’re not turning fast enough where our lower body’s Out Racing our upper body we’re getting our arms down into a great hitting position like here and then we’re rotating hard through the shot and that is what’s going to help you apply power without having to flip the face this is this swing is so clean that the angles are great the club face is great the wrist angles are perfect there’s lows to copy here it all starts with a good setup very neutral at address and then trying to do things as simply as possibly and that’s what’s going to give you a swing that will last your lifetime thanks very much for watching the videos if you can please like and comment to boost the engagement And subscribe if you don’t already that’ be great if you like what I put out in these videos you like what I say about technique I can actually help you with your game no matter where
