it’s Wednesday July 3rd here’s what’s coming up on the mayor’s office I that’s why we’re here we’re here because of the show The Bear you know mean there because I’ve been wanting to go there for 20 years oh well Sarah’s there because you couldn’t afford it 20 years ago good one good ones [Music] y top keep climing I want to live it up a good life I’m coming up I’m coming up good life good life oh good good good good cing in hot Kit what’s going on brother what’s up bro we’re both uh we’re starting a little late today because you went out to dinner with your lovely wife Sarah I went out to dinner with my lovely wife Jessica to celebrate your Collective birthdays you and Jess where you how was your night with Jess man dude it was awesome we went to a place we’ never been to before I think it’s in levitown it’s called a chef’s chef’s table and it was literally you pull up on like a block of houses and it’s like a renovated house that’s got like seating for like hundreds of people and outside space was freaking awesome dude baked clams with lobster is the bake of the clam had Lobster meat in the bake clam oh my god dude that’s was it still good I crushed it justess doesn’t eat fish so I ate all like nine of them where’d you go you went somewhere fancy too dude we went to this play called place called first day is a three star Michelin restaurant in the city in New York City in what in the Time Warner building dude and you know you know that you know the show The Bear yeah on Hulu or FX it’s incredible dude it’s it’s a lot of it’s after this restaurant really yeah dude and you know how you know how so first off it was incredible the the um yeah shout out to Isaiah our waiter turns out he’s from Detroit he’s like are you showing Casey from the tig no way and I’m like let’s get it you know you’re gonna like yeah you know it so he was like I love that 2006 2017 so it’s pretty cool and one of the coolest things about Isaiah are our waiters like you know obviously this restaurant’s just like the bear where where where car me worked you know at a highend Michelin restaurant so cool it literally I didn’t even know these restaurants existed and like Sarah’s like Hey listen do me a favor Sarah and my daughter Carly like when you go to this place Dad don’t tell them you’re there because the bear like right when he comes like what brings you guys here and I’m like you ever see the show The Bear minutes three minutes Shar looks at me I’m like a my bad I was like I that’s why we’re here we’re here because of the show The Bear you know me that’s I was there because I’ve been wanting to go there for 20 years oh well Sarah’s there because she couldn’t afford it 20 years ago good one good one se you got away your birthday week waiting for someone special he was waiting for there go very nice dude that’s no we had a we dude we had the best time changed the best time and uh and like I said that Isaiah too his his job our waiter’s job before he took this job he was a butler he was a butler in Detroit wow for three years I didn’t even know that job existed but he went to this school over in the Netherlands he went to a school over in the Netherlands he said it was like like West Point for Butlers like EXT standard attention yeah incredible cool um all right we we have a little sense of urgency today Sean because today this is round wait wait wait wait wait before we get started I got one other thing for you I got I got I got I got action in my mind good I just talk I just talked to one of my dear friends Wayne Smith who uh who was my my ga at Richmond dude but he used to throw BP dude the best BP I think all the times in the big leagues I think Mark Barry who was my uh who was my um BP coach he was really like the third base coach with the Reds his BP was probably my best ever but Wayne Smith at University of Richmond was the best dude he was a catcher former catcher but you know and he he lived in like the building where uh where the um in the robin Center where the where the basketball team played I used to go knock on Wayne’s door like 11 o’clock on a Tuesday Wayne a CH you know he’s kinding to sleep like he chance to get a couple swings in bro he’s like yeah no problem so I just talked to him dude like I just talked a little bit ago he’s such a great guy fan of the show by the way he said I love chin you know he’s like great and he’s a New Yorker too he’s up in Upstate New York ni he’s an ad he’s been an ad to Jo for like 20 years baseball coach and everything but I was wondering dude who who has been your best BP thrower in your whole life like even high school who was the guy you’re like that guy throws the best BP oh my god there was goly I gotta remember his name coach H my Timmy Tac are gonna be here this weekend he’s gonna be so mad that I’m forgetting his name but anyway this coach was like 172 years old and he had like long hair and he smoked heaters all day it was my sophomore ear going to my junior year this he was a head coach he had to be in his late 70s at the time was in the greatest shape of anybody that age I’ve ever seen and this dude just threw BP every single day every day bullets I think he played for like the Mets for a couple years back in his arm one of those guys his arm never hurt right rubber rubber yeah you never forget that dude it was like you never forget a good BP you you never forget a really bad BP thrower too dude and we were talking about we were talking about another coach of ours I won’t mention his name because he’s still a legit coach but he would come in dude he took over for Wayne the one year and I was like I was like Wayne you’re still gonna be on the team Wayne was like Wayne Wayne like volunteered my my J my senior year junior year So Co one of our coaches bro hit the top of the turtle oh no hit the top of the turtle rioch shade back to him and my head coach Ron Ronnie’s like all right all right coach you gotta get out of there he’s like get Wayne he’s like Wayne Wayne get in there and throw another group so Wayne would like Wayne would throw to every group but it was so funny and one other quick Story one night I go up there CH I was like Wednesday night I told you like I I would knock on Wayne’s door because I just loved hitting I just wanted to figure it out every night so one night I you know knock Way Wayne a chance you could throw you so me going the back down to the dungeon and the baseball team had no facilities we had this little dungeon area at the bottom of the basketball facility so we’re down there he throwing me one night there I got I got the black magic ripping you know he throws it I hit a rocket back up the middle bro hits Wayne doesn’t get his head behind the L screen hits him right in the forehead he goes down it’s just me Wayne it’s like midnight I’m like oh my God I thought I killed him Wayne’s Ling there like I think he’s like knocked out I go flying I’m like wait are you all right dud but but Wayne Smith’s old school he got right up I was like you you good he’s like no I’m good let’s keep going I just hit you I just hit you squarely in the forehead with 107 that’s so good oh I should say I I gotta add too mioki threw a great BP who was now the richond my coach dude he could he could break up if you wanted like just curve balls he would throw curve balls right down the MD really yeah he was pretty good at that I Gotta Give that’s legit that’s legit it was legit you know what else he was great at the catcher popup with a Fungo that is art form beyond the art forms dude that’s not that’s you know you know guys are ninjas with the when they could hit the ball to the catcher spin that thing straight up I think Wayne could do that too but yeah that’s awesome I love it all right so we only have a few hours left for the uh second round of the allstar ballot voting first round’s done and you know so automatically the top vote gutter from each league is already in so judge got it for the American League good job fans Bryce Harford got it for the NL I know he’s banged up but good job fans so first B is going to be Outfield it’s going to be different but we’re going to rip through this right now today three sh down isn’t isn’t judg judgy like three million in the head of others yeah judge judges and then Harper and then it’s like after that it’s the fall off but this is tough so Harper’s in so we already have the NL first base started that’s it boom this is this is a lot of tough questions here so I’m just going to go through them we’re going to rip through them and you make you make the pick and I’m GNA I hope Harper’s gonna be back with his hamstring I hope he’s a play know the other guy we’re gonna be Miss missing which when we get down to DH like Stanton was in the mix and now he’s dropped off so all right first base American League you got Vlad Guerrero Jr Ryan Mount Castle vaty 298 average 13 bombs 50 rubies 848 Ops mon Castle 273 batting average 11 bombs 40 ribbies 7770 op yeah glad done okay we don’t have to make too many questions about that all right second base this couple good ones here American League I think I know this Altuve 308 13 homers 38 rubies 828 Ops Marcus Simeon 234 1145 and 680 op Altuve s Sime simeon’s been simeon’s been struggling he’s gonna get it going I assume he’s gonna have a hot second half but he struggled the first half Altuve good all right National League arise or catel Marte you you yell out if you needel catel Marte boom done all right we got that oh all right Jose Ramirez or Jordan Westburg for third Bas oh so you’re going you’re going so that was national league right Short Stops yeah this is no that was yeah that was National League oh wait yeah second base second base Mart Jr I mean this is the tightest race out there there’s no doubt about it because Bobby Whit Jr is like one of my favorite players in the game and such a great guy I got a little history with him you know but uh gunar Henderson right now just what he’s doing is like pretty impressive so I think gunar Henderson just nudges out Bobby Wood Jr but it just turns out two of the best players in the game are are American League shortstops yeah that’s true gunar gets the nod all right Mookie Betts or Trey Turner Trey Turner’s got good numbers he hasn’t played as much neither Betts has been out too it’s I mean I’m gonna have to go with mooki but like Trey Turner when when he’s right is one of the best players in the game that’s why he got 300 million to go to Philly yeah he’s hitting 338 in his short and and since Harper went down too he’s just he’s gota like you know put the team on his back a little bit Yeah okay uh let’s go Al catcher these numbers I’m going to give you because they’re very similar s Perez 278 with 14 bombs 52 ribbies and an 813 Ops or adley rushman 291 average 15 bombs 55 rubies 811 Ops I mean their numbers are almost identical higher batting average for adley yeah you know what I’m gonna have to go with adley on this one I love s s’s still doing it I think it’s incredible I think he’s gonna make the theme obviously but I I just love the the young blood in there adly watching him play watching him catch watching him hit so I’m gonna take adley on this one I’m with you too also the other fact I play into it I don’t know if you do it’s like the Orioles deserve to have a lot of guys there and so I would kind of lean towards their guys if it’s like a 5050 thing you know oh I that um all right catcher any nationally you got William conteras and JT real mut give me the numbers there because I know contras was super hot and he’s kind of come back down to earth a little bit yeah still hitting 292 he’s got 10 bombs 51 ribbies and a 798 Ops yeah 798 Ops yes Anthony Sander’s a hell of a player that’s why they say PGH only in PGH s said it all right so you gotta pick two of these guys Quan s Tander SoDo or Tucker I get I get I I got go I to go I gotta go Stephen Quan don’t you 362 batting average I mean six Ops 946 Ops I got only got how many more do I got you only have one more because Jud well Tucker hurt right but I mean I gotta go with SoDo right I I give it a SoDo just because he’s got first of all he’s hitting 300 with 20 and 61 with a 997 Ops yes yeah but Tucker’s numbers are big too what are Tucker’s numbers Tucker’s got 19 bombs and 40 ribes and a 979 Ops he’s sitting 266 Quan is like that outlier I guess right now Quan’s healthy I know he’s he was out for a month so you think oh Quan because Tucker hurt but Tucker probably got better numbers I mean Quan’s numbers are still incredible yeah what do you do wow I’m gonna go with steveen Quan right now just because he’s is he your batting average guy yeah exactly exactly all right now we have to pick three of these guys in the NL I got all their stats so you can pick tell me which stats you want Nick castios teoscar Hernandez Brandon Marsh jeren proar some a great year Fernando tatis Jr and Christian Yelich y’s had y’s had a nice year I’m gonna take I’m I’m gonna put yell in I like what he’s doing I like that he’s sitting 3 to 29 with a 903 Ops okay yeah the all’s doing now give me the other guys oh you got to go with proar had an incredibly proar is hitting 311 11 bombs 55 rubies there’s a lot of RBIs this year for guys I’ll tell you that yeah yeah know there are all right so we got room for dude I got a question for you where’s rapael deor uh I’m not seeing de on list you can vote people in you can do a uh like well you can get vot dude in in 2004 my third All-Star game I was hitting 350 five with 16 homers like 55 rubies I got voted in by the players really that’s so that’s kind of a cool thing yeah every player gets a gets a um you come into the castios teoscar Hernandez Brandon morsh and Fernando tatis Jr statistically I would say teoscar has the most pop tatis is kind of I’m gonna probably say t Oscar I would go with t Oscar too especially because like he was like the guy that you weren’t really talking about on that team but he’s just as invaluable as all the other guys not L all right okay DH we’re done this is it DH Otani Otani but God don’t you think I almost think you got to carry two DHS at 19 because Guy you’s having a great year dude he’s I love what schwarber’s doing 17s 49 but I mean sh has 320 with 2764 and, 148 LPS if if there was no Aaron judge stats this year we’d be talking about Shi like bab it’s unbelievable do you think the DH should win the MVP I think it’s okay to you know why because because how how many really good players have you seen not be good in the field and still win MVP over the years you can you just but dude you’re still playing in the field every day it’s so diff hit go hit you know ride the bike mentally it’s so much dude the the biggest the most draining part about baseball is defensively I think at least in first base I’d be like espe oh my go I gotta go back out and you’re expected not to make errors out there like you punch out the plate you’re like all I punched out the plate you go out to the field dude you’re expected not to make errors so you’re you’re you’re always kind of grinding you know you’re out there every every inning you’re you know nine innings you know so especially in the infield the infield you have to where you’re going to be on every single pitch Outfield not difficult it really isn’t it’s guys don’t wear cups in the outfi that’s all you need to know about Hey listen they brought listen when I got traded they they traded me to put Adam beginning when the Astros weren’t great you’re like hey what’s going on here and then you kind of looked at their pitching you looked at the lineup it was okay so you kind of forgot I did at least catel Marte bom mooki teoscar Hernandez jerks far Christen Yelich William conteras Shi Otani we got some we got some Stars this year I mean like both yeah both Al and NL are loaded with stars I I just feel like whatever team judgies on got a great shot I kind of agree what’s the what’s the pitching lining up like oh that’s a good question I don’t know how that works did it isn’t that like more of the uh the coaches and all that stuff so we don’t want yeah I think so I think so yeah now well this one question has been posted today though um L he is Lu heel an All-Star you think oh he’s
