I’ve only been playing golf for about 4 months, haven’t gotten any lessons, playing with my dad’s 20+ year old clubs. I only lost 2 balls both on the back 9. Shot 97 counting 2 mulligans and adding 2 for the lost balls.
I was playing with me most frustrating guy to play with where he wouldn’t stop talking, would stop after every hit to have a small conversation with us, really nice guy but definitely tested my mental game and I honestly think it helped. I had to get him to stop trying to correct everything I was doing because I’m playing for fun and comfort, if a grip or stance doesn’t feel comfortable to me I won’t do it even if it’s “the proper way”.
I’m absolutely besides myself right now. Like literally my eyes watered when I saw my score.
That’s it. Just wanted to share how awesome it felt to shoot 97.
