this is a year for Daniel I loved hearing that quote mainly because it brought us inside the Giants decision-making process they’re talking about handing the ball to their 12 million doll running back let me hand this conversation to our million dooll running back LeSean shade stop you’re going to hurt yourself you’re going to hurt yourself we’re retired now I look 40 no he does all smooth with that 40 stuff man uh Shady you kick it off big dog are the Giants making a mistake giving a keys to Daniel JN what are we even talk yes yes yo when I when I heard it when when I heard this whole conversation right I love the uh the Hard Knocks right cuz you get in the locker room and really know what’s really going on and the the crazy thing is I was cool with Joe I still I still am cool with Joe so I shouldn’t say was I still cool with Joe the GM yes sir but to hear the conversation like I thought I had my own opinion about Daniel Jones I thought my opinion was like every else in the world that watches the Giants that watches football they don’t see the same thing they think Jan Joe is a good player so now when I think about him getting that money right because sometimes I feel like teams get pressured paying players because of the of the the market and I don’t have to go through the whole thing drafting a quarterback but no they think that he is the guy you know what’s crazy man when you talk about making a mistake it’s not the mistake is not now it’s when you drafted a player from Duke at the six pick is that what it was six pick highly criticized come on right I’m not this ain’t basketball this ain’t Coach K and them dudes so it’s a big mistake when you got a guy like Sequon bar the question they asked was what’s going to be our identity if he’s not here what is it Daniel Jones damel Jones I can’t be the answer you can’t expect to go far in an NFL when your quarterback is that bad is that awful I don’t see nothing good about him I don’t see no growth and then he says okay well is there a quarter for the next 10 years or will we do a pivot and go somewhere else what the hell you think so when you ask these question about the Giants how good they’ll be this is the question you have to ask Daniel Jones is he your guy and everybody can tell you no he’s not my my son’s 12 years old he don’t play he don’t like to play with the Giants on mad I’m like why son the quarterback’s train man it’s crazy at least he called him trash not the other words McCoy is used he can be both he can be both uh shady I heartfelt disagree with you I see see there you go again I want to hear this um no the only reason because Shady said this he said they think he’s the guy I don’t think that they think he’s the guy I just think they want to be convinced that he’s not and the reason I’m I’m I’m cool with the Giants going all in on DJ is because they paid him $80 million if you pay a guy $80 million then you better be for certain that he is not your future not well he got hurt so he might not be the future you better be without a doubt abundantly clear that he is not your quarterback what we all on this disagree with and we’ve said it plenty of times from Joy to James to Shady to myself is no quarterback succeeds at a high level without a dominant receiver or receiving threat whether it’s Patrick Mahomes Josh Allen amongst others you name it they none of them do Daniel Jones is the only $4 million quarterback that ain’t got no Pro Bowl wide receivers you could blame him for that though but listen to what I’ll say next he also has no Pro Bowl offensive lineman that’s not a Daniel Jones issue so Daniel Jones is the only quarterback in the National Football League making $40 million that had no Pro Bowl wide out and had no Pro Bowl O linan So if you really want to assess Daniel Jones give him the complete and fairest shot possible which is giving him the opportunity to have Pro Bowl Talent at wide out and have Pro Bowl Talent on the offensive line it’s not that I love it Joy because I believe in DJ that’s not what it is I love it because thank you for committing and going all in so if it doesn’t work you can say you did everything within your power and now we have irreconcilable difference all right so just go broke go all you already did I mean did you you guys gamble right you like to gamble play cards do you do I don’t really play cards very much I play roulette or craps and people give me money and I look cute do you double down on mistakes no don’t at me not at me I’m not with you a strategy is that a winning strategy to double down on mistakes no no thank you James why are you doubling down on a mistake yeah you paid him do you think that was a good idea to pay him do we think it was a good idea to pay him people didn’t think it was a good idea to draft him Shady keeps bringing up drafting him people were couldn’t believe it they could not believe that he was drafted at that spot let alone paid and listen I don’t I don’t want to dump all on Daniel Jones I don’t think he’s that good of a player I don’t think he has a lot of great talent around him but I think the thing that he does best is run what are we doing and he’s and he’s like okay at that right so I think they I think they overreacted to him winning a playoff game I think that’s what happened I think that’s fair he he was bad he had a good year yeah he had a good year we got all crazy was a good year it was not a great year I’m about say the year that you talking about was just okay thing it was a good it was it was a good year you want a playoff game want a playoff game by the way and that’s that’s super hard to do there are organizations that haven’t won Playoff game in decades okay super hard to win playoff games fine but we can also have a little context here how did they win who did they beat what happened next like you can also use your eyeballs we’re talking about should we pay a Dak Prescott Dak wins every year he his great record every single year puts up numbers All Pro in the MVP conversation and win play wins playoff games sub MH and looks good like and looks good Daniel when is I’m just confused why do you have to double down on a mistake I guess my question when you say that is they’re not convinced it’s a mistake yet and the reason I would suggest it I hear you not being convinced it’s a mistake you’ve had Brian D for two years take the money out of it take the money out of it yep no hold on hold on yes sir you watched the most tape up here yes sir you watch Daniel Jones so I’m just trying to understand as you sit there in that office right now what you looking at like for real for real like I understand he’s a first round pick I understand first round picks get 37 years to play in the National Football League even if you’re garbage true what is this man looking at right here with Daniel Jones there’s not a throw that we can choose right now in our head right now from watching the Giants play and the Giants have almost the most Prime Time games out of anybody in the National Football League every year being sorry and it’s not a throw that we can say o he’s what they talking about 11 and 12 in Prime Time games so like like what are they looking at but James you’ve said this a lot and everybody at this table has said this what I’m about to say you said quarterbacks need help Joy you say I’m not going to like why do we have to suffer why do I have to praise quarterbacks that suffer right like quarterbacks need help Daniel Jones who’s his best receiver been Sterling Shepard Hyatt like who’s like literally he Odell wasn’t there who’s his best receiver been offensive line has been porest the only reason I like that ision it’s not that I like Daniel Jones and I hope I make that clear it’s not that I like Daniel Jones but what I like shady what I like Joy is they’re right you don’t pay a quarterback 40 million doll for him to hand it so why some of these good quarterbacks got why some of these Elite quarterbacks got good backs you say Elite quarterbacks what’ you say I didn’t hear you so why some of these Elite quarterbacks got good back but let’s before we go to the other teammates right because I see you’re trying to like blame the the blame game to everybody else let’s talk about him though because if a quarterback or even a player is on a bad team you should show me some type of like good flash out okay he’s going to be good in the future he don’t show us none of that in five years right he had five years to show us yo you may be the guy right no Pro bows I won’t even dare whisper a All Pro I won’t even talk about that one winning season in five years made the playoffs once in five years right he’s 22 and 36 as a starter 75 touchdowns and 64 turnovers so when what I’m ask you is like AO where did he show you that yo we should pay you $40 million a year cuz we keep going to that but where where question was that answer where we should pay you that money he whispered it he did not yell it whispered but in 2022 Shady when Daniel Jones had 22 total touchdowns 760 rushing yards he only had five interceptions he won a playoff game he has one left play hold on hold on I I want to finish he got one less playoff win if I’m not mistaken than the other NFC quarterbacks in Jaylen Herz who has two playoff wins I think Dak Prescott has two for three playoff I’m not doing it Daniel and J and jayen was it 30 what 3100 yards pass he he had yard total offense and he had two wa tell tell them the the yards passing 3200 passing yard but he had 700 rushing 22 touchdowns total he had 700 rushing all I’m saying is this I think if you’re saying when did Daniel deliver that was the year Daniel delivered Daniel’s making 40 million DX’s arguing to make 60 million it back if that was the delivery I got better one for you though if if Daniel Jones was on the market because everybody has to talk about Kurt Cousins right they’re not even the same ball park no if he was on the market nobody’s do you think CH is going to get him not this year last year after the playoff win 3200 yards 22 touchdowns no he not he been trash his whole career sh that was not a trash season sh he went he went to the playoffs beat an 11 win Vikings team like he went the the Viking the Vikings were 13 and four and you know how many times we talk we didn’t talk about the Vikings all year Vikings fans were lining up with pitchforks talking about why you’re not talking about our team did anyone even blink an eye when they lost that playoff game here’s my thing though here’s my thing come on Jo we got to be real we cannot start picking and choosing the playoff wins I said congratulations on winning a playoff game that playoff game earned him 80 million 80 million good on him that’s a lot of money congratulations okay can we add some context to the situation since he’s been in the league 4 and 12 6 and 10 4 and 13 nine seven and one right which is like a okay season normally would not make the playoffs correct true more likely than that right and then they were six and 11 okay he’s what has he ever shown other than the flashes of being able to run okay that he is a franchise quarterback other than being picked in the first round all of these all of these things like can we just zoom out like there’s been people that have won Playoff games let me ask yall this because I don’t disagree with really I’m not disagreeing with anything you really can’t I can’t and I’m not but will yall agree with me on on this cuz yall have agreed with it before if you remove Daniel Jones from the situation he has had less help than the majority of franch he but he’s the less help you get how that work see I did the same thing with Justin uh Justin Fields everybody saying he needs more help but my thing was hold up man The Supporting Cast needs more help they need a better quarterback but at a minimum because I don’t I don’t disagree with you when you talked about Fields but remember what they did with Fields it didn’t work out but they traded a second round pick for kayp you had Darnell Mooney you had another receiver James you gonna help me out have to help me out with the receivers you had another wide receiver out thereo yeah you got DJ Mo then at running back you not only drafted dudes um but they had another dominant running back Mony yeah Dave Montgomery like they tried with Fields when you when Fields didn’t work I’m like you know what y’all did try to get Claypool Claypool had a 12 thousand yard season you did have uh Montgomery you did have DJ Mo you tried didn’t my only thing my only thing is this he sound crazy in their talking you’re letting your best players walk and saying you trying to put the keys into your quarterback’s hands why does that make any sense Lamar’s an elite quarterback you know what Baltimore said how can we get Derk Henry CJ stra came off an excellent year last year you know what they said bring on Joe Mixon like you need running backs jarro G is making a lot of money they have two really good running backs you think when Gibbs is up they not gonna pay him saying we going to put the keys in in in gol’s hands what did they say first because before they said we need Derrick Henry they said we need Rashad B we need Z flowers we need Hollywood Brown we need Mark Andrews we need Halen Hayden Herz before they said we need jir Gibbs and we need uh uh Montgomery they said we need Aman Ross Brown so they so that’s my point what are yall doing Neighbors at number six this is year five though AO he been starting for three four years so what is y’all talking about y’all acting like y’all trying to help yall not helping him and he definitely ain’t helping himself he can’t make everybody around him better he’s not that type of quarterback is it a fair decision then this year Joy shady is it a fair decision that they said you know what we’re going to get you two new starting offensive linemen a new Right Guard a new left guard you already got Andrew Thomas who’s a a dominant left tackle solid left tackle we’re gonna get you a six round pick I believe Malik neighbors and Marvin Harrison Jr they’re the most likely to instantly succeed going to get you a number six overall pick in Malik neighbors he’s going to start right away plus you got Hyatt last year I think third round out of Tennessee he’s supposed to be a burner I think this is the first year that Daniel Jones is going into the season with legitimate offensive line help legiate wide receiver and you think what type of year he going to have I think he’ll have 3,800 yards 24 touchdowns 12 11 you see what I’m saying though I don’t give if if Kelsey’s over there if Tyreek Hill he’s not that good AO he don’t have it this is why I always say yo I don’t care who the locker room is or or what team it is they got to have some players in there because when I’m when I’m watching these guys talk and I love Joe they don’t have a clue what’s going on you hear the conver ation what are we talking about he like like you act like the running back don’t matter for one and then then for you to talk about what’ you say for you to talk about D Jones as he’s a real quarterback in his League it’s crazy what what here’s my question forget the money that sound crazy like so you’re saying that because you’re paying him that you want your your he has to do something yeah why no help doesn’t make sense no not with no help I obviously we we second CL yeah but he’s the investment so the point is bad Investments but joy you got you know what it is even on television you got people right now asking for $820 million on network television you better go ball it’s your it’s you it’s your show you got you got analy you know what I mean right though whatever you talking about earn been putting up numbers like ding ding ding ding ding year after year after year like up here but once you get the bread Daniel’s gotten the bread you have it’s on you DJ give my question sorry go ahead we got lot of questions ask D got us hot rightz cuz AO the GM right now sitting behind that desk I cuz he tripping let’s look around the division yes yes ma’ I’m looking okay they’re not better than the Eagles no of course not he’s not better than Jaylen Herz nope I said no I said no you say I I’m ask again he’s not better than J of course absolutely not they’re not better than the cowboys he’s not better than absolutely keep going keep going hold on okay now let’s talk about Washington I think they’re currently better than the Washington you think the New York Giants are better than the Washington commanders right now at what at the game of football of American football yo yo Ro talk I don’t think he goes over there and starts as a quarterback no of course of course you has him wi with start I got I got I got a question though Mr G oh wait wait wait wait who wait D Jon start no no no no oh yeah I got a question though because what keeps sticking out to me as he talking about we ain’t trying to hand the ball off to a $12 million back how much money Jaylen Herz make they just talking they just talking what’s the name of the GM at the uh eagles they call him Howe they call him Howe season so jayen Jaylen Herz making almost twice the money Daniel Jones making so is he not gonna hand that thing off to sequ so what are y’all doing you guys are not putting Playmakers around him to make plays and he hasn’t even showed you with playmakers that he can make plays AO there’s not one play that we can say Daniel Jones has made a ain’t one playo talk you got have a lot of evidence this dude is bad what did hoe Roseman the general manager of the Eagles do with Jaylen Herz after Jaylen Herz second year in Philadelphia when Jaylen Herz only had 16 passing touchdowns hoe said you know what we need an AJ Brown that’s what Howe said we got to go get us an AJ Brown because Devonte Smith the first round pick wide receiver who won the Heisman by the way what year was that second year he knew it second year he knew it this might my gu let me go get here’s my dilemma then is y’all’s anger misplaced I feel like all y’all’s anger needs to be put on the GM not on Daniel Jones because hoe Roseman the GM got jayen help the GM for the Giants it was someone before it was Joe they never gotam saying that the Giants I don’t think the Giants have been running a a tight ship for the longest okay we can really look into the Giants If we’re honest about it the brand is bigger than the product at this point it but my question is you’re talking about about this as if we’re supposed to be convinced that Daniel Jones is all of a sudden going to be some some type of different guy what have you done that’s so dramatic this year only neighbors okay and and I think neighbors is great but he is still a rookie like he like he’s he’s supposed to be the answer like now it’s on now it’s on neighbors to save this entire organization and I’m sorry I disagree with you I think the Commander’s in a much better position than the Giants are right now I that’s a different conversation that’s a different conversation I you’re not even comp you’re not even in competition for the division vision is my point but the thing about it for me if you’re the Giants you have put yourself in a position now hopefully in your heads because you’re were 97 and one you’ve done some things defensively you put yourself in a position to be competitive to be competitive be competitive that’s all you can do be competitive win nine games win 10 games and I think that if you help him at wide receiver and you help him at the offensive line let’s just see I’m tell 10 games this year I’m going tell you what it comes down eight no I’m G tell you what it comes down to he knows that he gave this man all that money when Daniel Jones is gone I’m gone right with him he knows that so this thing is already sinking I’mma sink it with the dude that I gave $40 million to and I pray and hope to God that he can play average because that’s all that’s what he is that’s all he’s been his whole career in five years he’s been averag at his best 3200 yards he has below average health so if he’s been average with below average Health but what I’m saying is AO you saying give him the keys to the ship this year with the same help is what I’m saying another thing I was thinking about as you guys were talking Daniel Joe is awful I’m going keep it real he’s awful or let’s say he’s average whatever he’s the same something like that there’s so many average quarterbacks is not getting paid that type of money Gardner mitu right if I put if you put Garner mitu behind the the Giants right maybe he’s a little better but but he’s not $40 million a year type of quarterback so now you talk about this help you can pay Sequon you pay those other guys I was thinking of all these quarterbacks that’s not as good what’s the guy from um Washington H Hani you put H there like man is there a difference between him and Daniel Jones so my thing is when you putting all this money $180 million to this average Quarterback instead of you talking about help get some help around D because the quarterback’s G give the same results if it was a GU as average you get what I’m saying sure like you so when I look at these GMS talking it’s like yo they don’t know what they’re doing and that’s why I always say that you got to have a player with some intelligence that been there that no’s talking about because they they playing fany football on there do you hear them they laughing and crossing their legs like a four accountants and a financial advisor it’s crazy it’s embarrassing me because you know why last point I’m done with because I get upset when I look at running backs that give out crazy work every single year right solid wide receivers solid tight ends solid offensive lineman and they can’t get their a deal done that’s true value but a quarterback like Daniel Jones that can be average his whole career from duke right and you gonna pay the dud $180 million4 a year you know what I I know AO wouldn’t be up here fighting for Mal leag neighbors if five years his best season was seven 100 yards you wouldn’t be fighting for elite neighbors but that is what 3,200 yards is and 22 touchdowns is as a quarterback it’s about 700 yards at the receiver position for five years straight we wouldn’t be saying pay Malik neighbors no do y’all have last question for the table and you think hooker talking about Micah what you think they talk about him in the lock room for the table do y’all have an issue with them at least trying to support him to the fullest like they’ve never given him hope are they two starting no lineman starting wide receiver number six overall pick like y like this is a year they finally said let’s get him old line help he’s weak line number six wide receiv I I I think they I think they’re the worst team in the division what’s the if you want to argue about Washington okay but I think Washington’s in a better situation I don’t think they’re competitive in their own division let alone in any way in the landscape of the NFC I don’t think that this this is a difference making year for Daniel Jones whether he is incrementally better with better pieces around him or not I don’t think they he has the raw town and ability to be a franchise quarterback in the league or NFL quack could he be right could he be a bridge guy a backup guy is he somebody that could come in and win you games like we’re talking about this as if he had some sort of Carson Wentz like run or something like this mystery unicorn situation that we just haven’t been able to tap into again they were 97 and one with eight one score games they easily could have been one and 16 where 32 quarterbacks where you put him at 29 like 18 y’all gota stop come on come on come on we got crazy crazy I’m going to do it on theak get prepared right now go ahead you guys what is the quarterback’s best friend a wide receiver tight end oh you don’t say a running back running game dog you know always AO you know that that’s a lie for him he needs the receiver’s best friend is really a tight end Patrick Mahomes is had Clyde Edwards a lir and his best friend is Travis Kelce sir well his best friend his best friend is now now we just now we just saying average running backs though I’m saying a good running back is a quarterback’s best friend that’s why many of boards since Daniel Jones has gotten paid has shown Squan Barkley with Daniel Jones and he’s a different quarterback with Squan Barkley on football field they said that too so why would you let this man walk and then say we giving this man the keys and not get this man some help that’s crazy to me it’s really like they said we paid you so you have to go win games but he’s not that type quarterback they paid Patrick Mahomes a lot of money you know what Andy Reid said let’s go get the fastest dang dude in the draft you know what let’s go get another fast dude in Maris Brown that’s what he said so you know what you know what so you’re mad at but but but I’m mad at no but I’m mad at I’m mad at them and Daniel Jones cuz Daniel Jones ain’t showed you he’s that type dude and y’all keep believing at 5 years in so I’m
