well this is the heat of the Wold challenge cup the holders of this event are London Rowing Club so we have a London Rowing Club crew here on the far station and on this right hand side of the course it is the crew from th amateur R Club should be a great match up you’ll notice our graphy says this is the London R Club D crew so it’s not their a crew this is right at the top for the draw so London Ryan Club B coach Vice Duart heat they came through the qualifiers this would be a big ass for them to go off against ton absolutely uh TYC coached by Alex Lee who’s been a big part of the Newcastle University boat club uh coaching team big part of that blue star success um but London have been getting more depth uh through the years like you said they won this event last year um they’ve got strong Contender for their a crew uh and some other Crews here but um it’s it’s really going to be able to a chance for London to show some depth uh to have a chance for these guys to to get run down the course and if not next year take all that experience with them uh you know for years to come so London members will be banging the drum that’s what the club’s motto is as the London crew comes down the course but Ty are out in front and I guess when you’ve got athletes of the quality of the three man there you see with the slightly Fair hair Cory Williamson the 26y old former world class start athlete I think he was in the diamond skulls or qualified for it and if you can qualify for the Open Diamond skulls that’s Sensational former Newcastle Falcons player had loads of knee operations didn’t play rugby a mate suggested rowing so here he is now in the time crew and uh they’re right out in front of this London be crew and I think that’ll be a decent result cuz London are having a peer of a season aren’t they Tom a great season we caught up with the head coach J Heap a few months ago they theyve won the bowstead cup for the first time in 11 years against T’s Rowing Club um they’ve had some fantastic results I think the only lost with their eight to to Cambridge and Brooks at at uh Marlo rata so I’m definitely going to be seeing some exciting racing to come from London I love the little bio from Andrew chuda who we’re looking at in the B seat of the time crew he said he’s sitting two seats behind Cory Wilkinson’s Aura so a little bit of you know Josh in going on there in the crew Tom Campbell in the two he’s an engineer um he says he’s having the pleasure of sitting at the back of the bucket with Tick Tock meast star Cory Wilkinson we we we’re giving Cory a big sort of buildup here aren’t we that’s what you we sure we’ll show the 27y old in the stroke seat you need to be having a bit of fun with it you know you need to be friends it sounds like these guys are really bonded and and you always work harder for your friends the the more you can get that crew to bond the more you’re going to pull when it really gets tough halfway down this course so it’s really great to see that these guys are having some some fun for it it’s not all all hard stuff nerves there’s there’s some fun involved here as well still yeah well we love it we’re still here aren’t we Tom oh absolutely love it I’m still I know we’re in the third year but uh it still feels like we get 20% extra free here with our with our sixth day London ran Club be there uh just looking at the crew Sam Russell Lorenzo uh venturini Rob suland Aaron Jackson closest to us with the blue cat in the stroke seat Road at Barn Elms which is where I learned to row Good Old Boy Aaron Jackson do in that and he also rode at the University of Bristol so there’s the London Rowing Club be crew uh but the guys from the ti it’s a lovely stretch if you ever been up there uh they sits on the river TI at Newburn which is kind of about 7 miles to the west of Newcastle City Center and uh they reckon it’s the longest and best stretch of river for rowing in the north of England they got a new Clubhouse which sounds great so if you’re in Newcastle and you fancy looking at a r Club there go and check out Ty amateur IR Club yeah the boat house is gorgeous I was up there not long ago it’s it’s absolutely beautiful lots of glass front window and a fantastic uh Center for these guys to put down some real performances so Tom I know you Service uh Eros with rogar but is it true that any Ergo you service automatically goes 5 Seconds quicker on the 2K test oh I I can’t confirm or deny that Martin U but uh yeah yeah definitely uh bit smoother and smoother is faster as we know so uh you might be right you might be right yeah I need my Ergo service obviously I’m gonna get my 2k timed down well we’ll have a chat after magic so Ty amateur Rowing Club on the left of your picture they’ve LED this race from early doors London Rowing Club B no disgrace for them to be beaten by a crew the quality of time there’s London Ro Club B com through the qualifiers London Ryan Club won this event last year the a crew are going to come down soon and uh time have just eased back yeah I think it’s a a great performance from them you know London’s showing depth in their squad here um this is not the only event they’re entered in there’s plenty other athletes here to come so I think uh it’s a good showing from them the standard of of these club events is so high now anyone yeah so thanks Tom so that’s Ty Rowing Club t Club just defeating London R Club B confirmation of that result in the whitefall challenge cup Ty Club beat London R Club B in hate
