Newbie here and I've been lurking for a while and doing most of my research here. I want to set up an impact screen in my garage and am looking for some feedback about the enclourse and screen. As I see it, I have two options. Option 1 I will remove the garage door opener and over head storage. Is there a enclosure and screen that i could use pulleys to pull it to the ceiling when not in use? I was thinking something where the over hang drops across the screen and the two side walls fold in. Option 2 seems less favorable simply because that garage door rail will be in the way. Over all dimensions of the garage minus the bump out gym area are 23×20. Thanks for you help.

This comment is not helpful at all to your question, but that’s a sick flooring for your garage.
The garage door opener does not need to be in the center. I would have it moved to the right and go with option 1. I went with a permanent solution in my garage but also looked into using a retractable impact screen and drive kit from metechs.com.
Will option 2 let you have an actual enclosure? The garage door rail may not matter if everyone using it is right handed. Grab an alignment stick and do a couple of test swings, alignment sticks are typically a little longer than driver so if the stick clears then any club clears
You could add high lift garage door rails (which would allow them to be much higher than they are) and also a wall mount garage door opener.
