If you didn’t find anything it’s probably not special.
That’s a ‘fish scale’ impact surface. I was told by a fitting pro it promotes a straighter put and was adopted by Odyssey for some of their blade putters. I wouldn’t know if that’s BS or not but I’d clean that one up and use it.
I have an old Hickory shaft MacGregor that was my great grandfather’s.
It’s a nice conversation piece, but not worth much.
