the three of us were inside Madison Square Garden November 6th 2021 we were getting ready to call UFC 268 and you were waxing poetic about Alex poda here we are 32 months later and he’s one of the greatest MMA fighters of all time well it’s crazy because you know I’m just such a giant fan of kickboxing and I always want to see those guys attempt MMA when I see an Elite kickboxing champion I always have you ever thought about MMA I talked to Izzy about that way back in the day and Izzy told me he was going to get ready was have some you know get more grappling in and he was doing some fights in China you know and to see a guy like Alex go from being a two Division World Champion to becoming one of the I mean right now he’s one of the greats he’s a legend what he did tonight and I mean he has shut Yuri down He adjusted from the first fight all the wildness that Yuri tried none of it worked I mean Yuri had very little success like almost much at all not much at all the clinch but every time Alex hit him you could see like Alex even the jab to the body everything was different it had everything had more horsepower on it tonight the guy’s power is just so extraordinary but it’s not just that it’s power with intelligence it’s technique it’s knowing when you know I was talking to his Corner man and he said that he noticed that Yuri does this one thing when he goes low and he said I’m going to switch it up and head kick him and he was talking about that in the locker room [Applause] [Music]

  1. 4 fights in 365 days and 3 former champions with one he's now finished twice, two being on short notice. Pereira is one of the greatest of all time and that is absurd considering the lack of time he's been in MMA in general let alone that he's done this directly after being sent to the dream world by Adesanya. And that's a guy who is arguably the 2nd best middleweight ever and who he finished twice previous, once putting him on oxygen.

  2. Only someone like Jon Jones can beat him at this point. They will proabbly make that fight in 2026. Will be no where else to go.

  3. Early stoppage lmao 😂 Jiri should thanks for saving his life in first fight!!! That’s why now he thought that Herb Dean is his girlfriend, hugging 🤗 him like crazy 🤪 He thought he’s in Czechia 🇨🇿 not Usa 🇺🇸 😂😂😂

  4. The Real P4P King 🤴 Not those fake champions like islam, waiting two 2️⃣ years to defend title once, waiting that all stars in universe match for them! Always wisely picking opponents, timing ⏱️ suitable only for them! Cutting weight like crazy to fight 3 times smaller guys!!! And then 5 rounds smelling other fighters ass!!! No wonder nobody likes to watch their fights!

  5. Let's Pereira fight for the heavyweight title against jones…. instead of Stipe.
since dana and ufc played Aspinall out for his rightfully title fight… period

  6. Alex's run that he's on run right now reminds me of Chuck Liddell's title run from back in the day. Same divison that had a long standing dominant champ, Tito for Chuck and Jon for Alex, both came in cleaned house beating every top contender with amazing KOs, becoming the face of the UFC in the timeframe of their title runs

  7. Ok Pereira is good, but Ronda Rousey could beat up half of the male division, athlete one of a human kind, beat Floyd Mayweather, let that sink in.

  8. Jones is no GOAT because he dodged Ngannou. Pereira has a better chance with Jones or Aspinall than with Ngannou.

  9. After the stare-down I was so pumped up, but Pereira was just like 'sorry, gonna make this quick.' I cant see anyone wanting to fight that man lmao. Sean Strickland was right, he touches you and you're dead.

  10. As soon as Pereira meets an Fighter that can Wrestle… The hype will be over. My opinion but I can be wrong.

  11. Ankalaev could derail this train. Dont forget only recently Adesanya planked Pereira and Jan Blachowicz beat him, just not on the judges scorecards that night. 3 fight win streak could easily end with Ankalaev who recently beat a similarly hige brazillian

  12. I would be more than hapyy if Alex beating Jones, but I still just can't see it happening. Jones will not try to beat him standing up. It would be like in the Gane fight. Still, Alex has already paved his way to be considered one of the greatest to ever to it and also one of the more entertaing fighters to step foot on the octagon. He leaves everything there.

  13. He is a technical monster! Insane power, speed and very clean technique on top of that!

No wonder he won multiple titles at kickboxing
