yo what’s going on y’all it’s con back here again today with another video and today I want to go ahead and break down every single move from day one of NBA free agency it’s after midnight here in the east coast so day one is coming gone I did a 4-Hour live stream at the beginning of free agency and while it wasn’t this Blockbuster race out of the gates like all these stings left and right like it’s been in years past at 6 p.m. Eastern it was still pretty fun there were a lot of moves that trickled in over time some big signings that kind of shift the landscape of the league and even for the top guys that didn’t sign we’ve now got pretty good indications about where they’re going to go so I’m going to break down where everybody landed officially where those top players will probably end up going in all the new news on that front I’ll have time stamps Down Below in the description in the time bar if you want to find something specifically but yeah I’m going to tell you where every player went how much money they got and what my thoughts are on the deal and the implication of it across the league with that being said leave a like And subscribe if you enjoy hit the notification Bell so you don’t miss out future videos and let’s get into the moves first things first we’ve got to talk about Paul George and really the Clippers as a whole because there was a lot of movement surrounding them and they were always looked at as one of the biggest players here in free agency with Paul George and James hardness free agents Russell Westbrook had a player option and they’ve been one of the top contenders in the Western Conference for a few years ever since kawhai and Paul George came into town this was their make or break moment where either one of their top guys was going to leave they were going to keep the core together and continue competing and they did bring back one guy one of the first moves we saw of free agency was James Harden going back back to the Los Angeles Clippers on a 2-year $70 million deal with a player option on the second year so he’s guaranteed to be there for at least one season this could be a situation where he feels like he could play really well this year build up his value and then maybe get a bigger long-term contract next summer or if it doesn’t go well at least he has guaranteed 35 mil going into next season roughly so yeah that was kind of expected Harden was one of the few names we hadn’t heard any outside rumors about I think everybody knew he was going back to the Clippers Russell Westbrook opted into his player option A couple of days ago and today it became reported that they’re searching for a trade destination for him and that it’s likely he’s played his last game with the team one of the main destinations that was brought up in some of the rumors was the Denver Nuggets who do need help at the point guard spot they trade away Reggie Jackson and they lost another integral player in for agency they’ll talk about in a little bit but they need some help so maybe there’s a deal to be made there but the biggest guy they had to keep an eye on was Paul George he felt like the guy that could really leave and bring this thing crumbling down and coming into today it seemed kind of 50/50 whether he leaves or stays he opted into his player option which yesterday meant that he couldn’t be signed and traded over to or not signed and traded but just straight up dealt over to the Warriors which it was reported the Golden State Warriors were really trying to get a deal done there they weren’t able to and so coming into today it felt like it was probably between the Clippers and the 76ers and well he’s officially becoming a Philadelphia 76er I had recorded this full section I’m recording this after the rest of the video because I was editing I was about to be done when w dropped the bomb that it is is official Paul George is teaming up with Tyrus Maxi and Joel embiid in Philadelphia on a 4-year $212 million Max contract it’s a big deal this is the thing we were kind of expecting especially when earlier today the Clippers put out a full press statement saying that Paul George was not going back to the franchise I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like that but they basically said he’s not coming back and at that point it was pretty clear it was going to be Philadelphia it was just a matter of time and here it is at 3:30 a.m. in the morning Paul George teams up with uh MB Maxi in Philadelphia and it forms an interesting big three I know a lot of people are already hating on the deal saying it’s too much money it is probably a bit of an overpay for Paul George at this age especially with the injury concerns but I do think it’s something Philadelphia had to do you have Joel emid an MVP level player you have Tyrus Maxi who’s an All-Star borderline all NBA guy and this wideopen contract spot to add another All-Star level Talent without giving up any assets they’re not having to trade all their first round picks to make this thing work they’re just absorbing him straight into the cap face and yeah it’s going to cost them a lot of money but in the future they could always flip that contract with picks if they want to make a bit of an upgrade that’s always a route they can go they’ve made some other moves that we’ll talk about in a moment that further Shore up The Supporting Cast it feels like the Sixers are really starting to put this thing together I don’t dislike the deal the way that I know a lot of people are he’s a versatile forward he’s not going to be asked to do too much which hopefully keeps him healthier and also makes him more effective because at this point in his career I don’t know if PG is like your number two on the championship team I think it’s a three he fits really well or a 2 A2B with Tyrese Maxi of course embiid is going to be the one gives you defense gives you great shooting he’s a phenomenal catch and shoot guy can create his own shot which is something the Sixers have needed help with as well and you’re basically replacing Tobias Harris on a Max contract with Paul George it’s a massive upgrade I like this deal it’s not perfect because of the injury concerns and yeah it is a lot of money but this is the route I think they had to go it was the right move to make and now the Sixers are trying to load up on weapons of their own when you’ve got the Celtics at the top of the East the Knicks are only getting better and better Philly is trying to enter that arms race we’ll see if they can get up towards the upper as line of the Eastern Conference and with the way the Sixers are moving they very well may be building the best team of the Joel embiid tyres Maxi era I’m excited to see what Philadelphia can do and like I said there were other moves that they made as well including adding Andre Drummond the return to Philadelphia two years $10 million to the Sixers I like it a lot the Sixers have struggled to find consistent backup bigs behind Jal embiid and when Drummond was there he was one of the more reliable guys they don’t need him to play too much embiid’s going to play 35 36 minutes A Night in the playoffs probably closer to 40 Drummond’s just got to come in Play Some solid defense give them some rebounds catch some lobs from Maxi and his job will be done I like the idea a lot especially for $10 million over two years he did really good with Chicago this past season and then Eric Gordon comes in giving them a bucket getter Off the Bench one year $3.3 million he was pretty solid last year for the Suns knock down a high level of Threes if he can just be a good spot up shooter for the Sixers playing off and beid Maxi and Paul George then this is going to be a home run signing and it’s low risk too they didn’t use much of their cap space at all to make this signing work oh and also breaking news right as I’m recording this Kelly UB has agreed on a 2-year $16.3 million deal to stay with the Philadelphia 76ers it’s a player option for the second year so if he plays really well this season goes into a market he can get a bigger contract I think this is great value now the Sixers theoretically have a starting lineup That is Tyrese Maxi Paul George Joel embiid as well as Kelly UB with one more guy thrown in there that’s a really fun starting lineup one of the most talented in the NBA I’m telling you as much as people are going to harass the Sixers about the Paul George deal I think they’re doing great stuff over there going back to the Clippers while they are going to be losing Paul George they made a signing of their own with Derrick Jones Jr coming over to Los Angeles the team he faced off against in the first round with Dallas on a three-year $30 million deal 10 mil a year is pretty good for DJJ he did really good this past season with the Mavericks as a guy rolling to the basket of course an amazing vertical athlete shot pretty well from the outside especially knocking down looks in that corner Derrick Jones is a fun player to bring over to the Clippers he’s not going to replace what Paul George brings to the table and I do still think it’s kind of a sinking ship over there in Los Angeles unless they pull something random out of a hat but for the moment DJJ is a good additional piece to throw in there to try and steady the boat a little bit and I think getting him on 10 mli year is pretty good value as for the Mavericks the reason that he doesn’t return to them is because the Mavs pivoted and signed nii Marshall on a three-year $27 million deal and that’s a pickup I like a lot nii is a really solid Defender he’s a guy who knocked down a really high level of Threes this past season better shooting than I think he had at any other point in his career because for majority of his career he’s been a not good three-point shooter this season he really found that outside stroke they’re going to need that to continue with the Mavericks and this is a team that thrives on setting up those role players for Great Looks in the corner above the break wherever you can spot him as a three-point shooter Luke and Kyrie are going to find you and I feel like n could be in for a career year over here in Dallas can easily slot into that starting lineup alongside PJ Washington Luca Kyrie and either Daniel Gafford or Derrick Lively I like the Naji Marshall pickup a lot I’m sure they don’t feel great about losing Derrick Jones Jr and apparently they’re still looking to add Klay Thompson so that could also shift how that starting lineup looks if they bring him in but regardless I think he’s a great guy to go with if you’re not going to bring back Jones Jr speaking of Klay Thompson as I’m sure you gathered he’s not officially signed yet it feels like it is down to either the Lakers or the Mavericks with according to reports that seemingly going either way it seems like most people are leaning that he’s going to go to Dallas which if they pick up him and nji Marshall that’s a big boost to a western conference that feels like it’s teetering a little bit in terms of power like the Clippers are kind of falling down the Nuggets will talk about in a moment they’ve got some questions to go ahead and answer there are certainly teams getting better but the Mavericks as the reigning western conference champions that would be a great free agency if you ask me and for the Lakers they kind of need this to work out LeBron is reportedly willing to take a pay cut if they can bring in somebody that is of a decent caliber and some of the names reported included James Harden Klay Thompson who you know if clay doesn’t signed there then both those guys are off the board or even neon Valen chunis who spoiler alert did sign somewhere else today so we’ll get to that in a moment so it feels like they’re running out of guys if they don’t get Klay Thompson I’m not sure who the pickup is they’ve got to get better they’re nowhere near ready to compete with the top of the top in the Western Conference we’ll see where he lands but for right now it does feel like he’s kind of leaning Dallas but not only is Klay Thompson for sure leaving the Warriors but Chris Paul is gone too there were reports today that the Bulls offered the Warriors Zack LaVine for Chris Paul and Andrew Wiggins and the Warriors said no they said they weren’t going to make that deal and instead they went ahead and just waved Chris Paul which is kind of surprising I feel like that’s a deal they would have taken because sure lavine’s contract is really bad but so is Andrew wiggins’s contract and at least LaVine helps you level up a little bit he’s been an allar Calibur player not too long ago I don’t know what their game plan is they didn’t make any signings today so we’ll see where they go I guess they had a Kevin Knox their summer league team so if you count that then sure but in Chris Paul news after they waved him he s with the San Anton Spurs one year $1 million so he’s not going to a championship Contender but rather he’s going to the Spurs to team up with Victor wenyama it always felt like it made sense for the Spurs to try and add a veteran guard of some kind to help wemi you know kind of evolve his game to help him progress just give him a floor General somebody who can actually put the ball in his hands and Chris Paul is the perfect guy to do that I’m really excited to see this Duo play out there as a Chris Paul guy I do want to see him win a ring and was kind of hoping he would go to a championship level team but I also think being part of wem’s Legacy being a part of helping this generational Talent rise to stardom is also a really cool moment to have according to reports he sees this as a moment where he could kind of rejuvenate himself regain some of his value in the market kind of similar to what he did in Oklahoma City although he was a good bit younger when that happened so I’m not sure we see quite the same effect but hey maybe Chris Paul goes out there and averages like 12 dimes a game just literally throwing it up to wemi around the rim and suddenly he’s once again back out on the market as a really valuable point guard I would love to see that but for the moment CP3 is going to be throwing passes to Victor wanyama and that’s something I can’t wait to see the Spurs are already kind of hard to miss TV must watch TV rather over the course of this past season just because they had wemi now that they’ve got someone that can get him the ball you’ve got to definitely pay attention to them even more but we’ve talked a lot about the western conference let’s talk about an acquisition in the East with kentavius calwell Pope leaving the Denver nuggets to join the Orlando Magic 3 years $66 million 22 million average a year and what’s a really exciting pickup for Orlando they have been a Defensive Juggernaut over the past one and a half Seasons the big issue has been the offense they don’t have enough spacing for pal banero to really open up the court and let him play his game they need more creators and kcb isn’t really a high level Creator but in terms of shooting he is a an above 40% shooter from the outside he’s been a knockdown guy his entire career and also he adds into this defensive identity you throw him on the the wings in a defensive lineup of Jaylen Suggs kyp fron Pao and wend Carter that is an unbelievably stacked defensive starting five that basically you’re going to find it impossible to score buckets against KP adds to the spacing they’ve got some more work to do if you ask me and have more cap space out there so they can definitely make some more additions but this is a great start I love the addition of kcp to this team a veteran coming in to help Orlando really take it to the next level out east and for the Denver Nuggets this in my opinion is a dis faster kcp was really important to what they did he was one of their key guys in point of attack defense I think it’s a massive blow to them on that end a knockdown shooter for Nicole jic it seems like they’ll probably slot Christian Brown into the starting unit and he’s good and I’m excited to see him get more opportunity I just don’t think he’s anywhere near ready to play at the level that kcp had brought to them over the past two years he was an integral part to them becoming a championship Squad I think this is a big blow and now losing kcp this off season losing Bruce Brown last off season you’ve got very little depth in the first place if you’re moving Christian Brown into the staring lineup you have even less we’ll see if they can pull off some miracles in free agency but for the moment it feels like the nuggets are rapidly deteriorating after winning a title just a couple of seasons ago sticking with Western Conference contenders my favorite team the Oklahoma City Thunder didn’t do anything outright today but they have a bunch of cap space and reports are that they met with Isaiah hartstein in his hometown over in Oregon to basically pitch him on joining the team we haven’t heard word about what his decision is if he’s leaning anyway yet the Thunder are seemingly trying to be aggressive and convince him to join they’re willing to throw a lot of money his way and I’ve made it known here on the channel or at least I believe I have that Isaiah hartenstein is one of my favorite targets for the Thunder if I could pick one guy for them to sign outside of like the of course top names like it would be cool to have LeBron Isaiah hardenstein is like the guy I would like to pick up really solid big brings some good defense brings some good passing has shown an ability to stretch the floor in the past even though the Thunder don’t need him to at an insane rate just kind of be a threat uh towards the mid-range area he’s got great touch on a push shot I think hardstein would be an amazing addition to the Thunder team and really help boost them towards the top of the Western Conference contention picture in addition to of course the Alex Caruso trade and other moves they could make because they’ve still got a lot of flexibility after that also hartenstein is reportedly still considering going back to the Knicks for a bit of a discount or the Pistons have been rumored as a team that could throw him a lot of money I feel like Detroit probably isn’t an option for him at this point I would imagine hartstein wants to compete maybe he just goes with the Pistons and takes the bag but to me the Thunder feel like the middle ground they could the second most money they can offer him a spot to be an impactful player on a really high level team I’m hopeful he signs with the Thunder but I guess going back to New York is definitely still option as well speaking of Eastern Conference big men a guy that has now gone over there is yonas valent chunis surprisingly going to the Washington Wizards on a three-year $30 million deal I have to say I like the financial value for this acquisition I feel like 10 million a year is pretty fair for what yonis balunis brings to the table I will say I don’t understand it as much from the Wizards perspective you’ve got alexar who’s one of the guys in your front Court rotation you’ve got Kyle kzo you’ve got below kbal a lot of guys who need minutes out there in the front Court especially if you want to turn alexar into a five which maybe they’re not maybe they’re rather going towards the four direction for him to me this kind of signifies that kusma is going to be gone at some point to clear up some space Also I don’t love the fact that they’re adding more Talent when the goal should be to get to the bottom of the Eastern Conference completely bottom out so you can go after a Cooper flag or one of the top guys in a stack 2025 draft class I understand if you can get a guy and bring some value and maybe they’re just bringing him in for half a season to trade him at deadline but he could still add wins I don’t know I feel like Washington should just be trying their hardest to bottom out that’s not exactly what this is doing it could take away developmental minutes maybe trading kma opens up a lot of that and this isn’t a problem because even with yonas they’re still going to be pretty bad but I don’t know this was just easily the weirdest signing of the day and one that I feel like we’ll understand a bit more as the summer and eventually the season begins and wrapping up the departures for the day we’ve got Mason plumbley leaving the Clippers to join the Phoenix Suns on a one-year deal it’s nothing too crazy uh he’s an upgrade over Drew Eubanks as a backup big they need more depth in the front Court just need good role players period behind Kevin Durant Devon Booker Bradley Beal I still don’t love nurkic being their starting center I don’t know if they’re going to switch that up it doesn’t feel like they’re going to just because he’s making a good bit of money and they’re pretty capped out on what they can do in terms of adding assets to his contract in the terms of picks so I would imagine their big rotation is nurkic and plumbley which I don’t love but it’s better than what they had last year and they’re getting him on a pretty small deal as well so overall I think this is a fine move and then we had a bunch of resigning and extensions starting off with Kate Cunningham getting a 5year $226 million extension the full rookie Max to stay with the Detroit Pistons as reported by Shams now Bobby marks of ESPN later said that this isn’t confirmed that they’re still in discussions I’m going to believe Shams on this one and also I think this is inevitably going to happen because they have to pay Cade they’ve got to keep him he’s one of the few established or seemingly really good upand cominging players they have on this team there’s guys with a ton of potential but Kade in my opinion is a more known commodity I am a big believer in Kade Cunningham I like this retention a lot it’s a lot of money but with the salary cap booming and Rising a ton especially if Kate reaches the potential that I think he has as a former number one overall pick this deal could look like a bargain a lot of people are freaking out honestly I think this is perfectly fine then you’ve got Obi toppen signing a fouryear $60 million deal to stay with the Pacers I like this Obi was really good for the Pacers this past year keep him on a relative cheap contract 15 a mil is nothing for a solid role player in this year’s NBA it does make me a little bit curious about what the future holds for jarus Walker because now he’s got Obie toppin that’s kind of locked into that spot there of course they’ve got like Aaron n Smith in one of those roles to Pascal SE yakum like the front court is pretty crowded over there in Indiana maybe jerus Walker gets moved at some point I don’t know I was a big fan of his going to the draft and it feels like just a shame that he’s pretty locked out on the bench for the moment Kevin Love signs an $8 million deal over two seasons to return to the Miami Heat four m a year for Kevin Love I think is great value at this point in his career he can knock down some outside shots can give you some depth in that front Court especially since it seems like they’re probably losing Caleb Martin if not also Haywood High Smith they need guys bodies to soak up minutes they at the four spot Kevin Love can do that and I think this is a perfectly fine contract for him he’s been good over the year and a half he’s been with the Miami Heat you’ve got Luke cornette and nemus K up coming back to the Celtics on pretty small one-year deals that’s a good addition for the Celtics just keeping some of their front depth Alex Len is staying with the Kings on a $3.3 million deal cool the Jazz waved om reort 7 not sure what that’s about but they did it and then Kelly Aiko of the athletic is reporting that Nick Batum is not going to be back with the Sixers although a Sixers reporter said that that wasn’t true that it’s not confirmed Batum is leaving even though he could so we’ll wait and see but it seems like batum’s future with the Sixers is definitely up in the air and yeah I think that’s everything from day one of NBA free agency hopefully there’s nothing I missed if it was it was a very small deal and I’ll try and include it either in a comment down below or I’m sure one of you will mention it and I’ll make sure to like pin your comment or harded or whatever but just know that this is basically everything that happened on day one of free agency let me know down below comments what your favorite moves were which ones did you not like where are the top guys that are left going to go do you think it’s for sure Paul George Goes the Sixers what do you think Klay Thompson lands as well as a bunch of other role players what guys out there in the market would you still like to see your favorite team ad yeah I appreciate you watching again leave a like And subscribe if you enjoyed hit the notification Bell so you don’t miss out future videos and I’ll see y’all later real one say back

  1. You mentioned multiple teams in the East that aren’t threatening and failed to mention the other team that made the ECF, Pacers are legit

  2. ppl hate the deal but the window is right now and next year if they can’t get it done they’ll prob move on and be stuck w a bad contract for a year or two but that’s worth it if you can get it done. i don’t think they will but it’s there best shot so i don’t mind 4 years for PG. plus i think his game might age a lil gracefully i don’t think he will fall off a cliff

  3. The valenciunas move makes no sense unless he has an under the table deal with the wizards who want to move him for a pick or two. He didnt make the move for money because all reports say he could of got more, it couldnt have been for a ring or winning and it couldnt be because he wants to show off how good he could be with his own team so why do it?

  4. Did Jonas Valanciunas decided to join Wizards because Lebron saw that joke Jonas made long time ago? 😀

  5. Kawhi could have been a 4 time champion by now and he chose PG over LeBron and AD. I wonder how often he wishes he just said fuck it and became the villain.

  6. the spurs signing chris paul could help stephon castle’s development as a passer too

  7. Can you guys be a little more precise with your language on the aprons? There are a lot of times when I don't understand whether you mean a move will bring them into the second apron or the first, especially in rapid fire conversation. A lot of times you'll say something like, "this will bring them UP TO the first apron" or "this will cap them AT the first apron" which to me means they will not be subject to the second apron, but by context it seems like it will. Can you just say something like, "this will bring them over the first apron but below the second' or just, "this will keep them below the second apron"?

  8. Props to PG for getting the bag. Yeah, $212 million for four years is too damn much, but props to PG.

  9. The 76ers just need there star player to really attack the paint more mix it up too predictable with the fadeaways and jump shot's

  10. Kcp was a big loss for nuggets but people dragging it. He won’t change magic future one bit. Still a 1rst round exit slightly better team.

  11. Thank you for the free agent round up! You’re just another example of the individual doing it better the the so called Big Networks! Keep going 💪🏾 …& a new subscriber to boot.

  12. I doubt the plan is to start Val and Sarr together, odds are they start the season starting Sarr at the 5, then if he's not ready you start Val, or you start Val to motivate Sarr to earn a starting spot. Either way, I expect Sarr will be the starting center by the end of the season, both probably average over 20 minutes a game while barely sharing the floor

  13. Every season is 76ers are the best looking team. It’s very consistent. But this season looks different (again)
