welcome to MMA uncovered it is time to uncover new MMA News so let’s start Alex Pereira knocked out Jerry prasa in the first 10 seconds of second round let’s see reaction from fighters on this [Music] fight the main event exclamation point there I mean Alex petta even more dominant than the first time around I guess what did you think of his performance tonight yeah I mean he looked incredible fight started just like the last fight chopping that calf kick uh you know busting his leg up and then uh I mean oh he got Saved by the Bell no he didn’t yeah no he didn’t it was incredible I mean that that guy is a monster absolute monster and Yuri again we’re talking about two guys who stepped up um you know pretty sure both of these guys had nagging little injuries too you know and and didn’t give a [ __ ] came in and fought yeah um a lot of people are saying Alex petta at heavyweight is awfully intriguing I know we got Jones and steepe we got as in blades I I’m standing up there with the belt and I had Joe Rogan in my ear the whole time we were up there let him fight heavyweight come on just do it so um I know that’s what people want to see we we we’ll see how this whole thing plays out is there any chance that he injects himself into Joan steepe for instance or I mean you still committed to that it’s been yeah no no that we’re definitely committed to that I mean you know how I feel about Jon Jones you know as as far as where he sits in the pound-for-pound rankings and the alltime rankings and then um uh Stipe is you know looked at as the greatest heavyweight of all time so they deserve that [Music] fight 303 as is the Hall of Famer Donald cowboy Cerrone and maybe your favorite Fighter’s favorite fighter Charles dub Bron Oliva the former UFC lightweight champion and iron Michael Chandler bow to be here certainly he wishes he was lead here tonight justtin G’s in the building repping the Las Vegas Raiders Mr [Music] highlight and the high kick that you landed did you come off the stool in a second knowing you were going to throw that or was it just something you saw at the moment no actually I was in the locker room talking to PL my coaches and uh he showed me the video of J Waring up and I saw that he was trying to counter attack the CF kick defend and counter but I told P that he was doing a wrong timing the timing was not good so I saw that he was too focused on not taking that kick and he was keeping hands down and leaving the head you know the exposed so I told him and said I’m going to explore the high [Music] kick oh [ __ ] so that mean I got another fight to win and then I’ll see him soon that was nasty that was nice so I’m going go ahead I’m going start the next guy and we go right [Music] back so can you fill us in on what happened when you found out and all that found out a couple hours ago and uh you know he got sick apparently had a fever had to pull out of the fight we had the doctors check him out had to pull out of the fight and uh EJ was ready to go he’s fighting on the 20th and uh they said he’s in the best shape he’s ever been in he’s ranked higher so here we are this the [ __ ] the [ __ ] Legends of made of right here both of these guys accept the fight on short notice and uh we’ll see how it plays out tonight what what do you think of EJ just doing that I mean to face a guy be [ __ ] sitting on the couch ordering the fight when he got the call so uh you know for him to jump up be ready [ __ ] run down here way in and and want to take this fight he he came in all fired up too man he’s excited for this opportunity this is not a job you know I tell you that all the time this is a this is all about opportunities and this kid jumped up and took it Who’s hotter than Lopez right now right and he get even though he’s ranked above him gets the opportunity to fight him in the co-main event on International [Music] fight yeah I mean throughout the entire process you know obviously I wasn’t even really informed of what it was besides possibly an injury right obviously they’re not going to they they’re not allowed to tell me what the injury is how severe it is um they have a duty to keep that D that that stuff private um I didn’t find out what what the actual injury was until Connor posted it and that’s the way it should be I don’t I don’t want to know what is ailing on my opponents and I don’t want anybody know what’s ailing on me um but yeah it’s a tough it’s a tough phone call to get obviously just put in 10 weeks of solid work away from my family um just having the best Camp of My Life um but hey that’s uh this is how it this is how it goes and this is what I signed up for I signed up for an uncertain uh career path I’ve had numerous opponents pull out I’ve still to this day in 22 hands at 20 22 years of hand toand combat 16 years of fighting I’ve never missed weight I’ve never pulled out of a fight and I should have pulled out of a a couple fights in my past and taken losses because of it um so I’ll hang my hat on that and uh control the uncontrollables and enjoy UFC 303 from the stands did you meet with the UFC last night I did I was with with the UFC so we’re uh we’re working on some things related to Connor or potentially unrelated to Connor it’s always related to Connor you know um people can talk about why what my motivation is for waiting what my motivation is for um sitting out out for as long as I have um quite frankly I needed a little bit of time off I came in to the UFC hot and uh had some fights of the Year candidates fight of the Year 2021 um so it’s always revolving around Connor I’ve enjoyed this time um doing things outside of the octagon and then just had a phenomenal Camp um but my motivation has been I signed my name on a dotted line back in January to do the ultimate fighter and then fight Conor McGregor um and I try to be a man of my word in every aspect of my life so that’s what uh that’s what my number one goal is here obviously I want to fight Connor and uh sources close to Connor like yourself I’m sure know that he’s going to be ready in September August um so we can make some things [Music] happen e e
