My name is Erich and I live in Italy welcome to my channel. I used to play golf on and off for many years, but I started my journey again about 8 years ago, changing my swing completely.

My goal is to become a single figure handicap golfer in the near future.

To achieve this goal, I built my own backyard putting green and set up a backyard golf net. I love playing in my backyard green, doing drills, club reviews and playing at the range and at the course to get better at the game and ultimately reach my goal (hopefully).

all right guys so welcome back to another video so today I’m going to show you exactly what you have to do to play a tournament uh obviously you have to have a handicap in order to play a tournament but you can’t play a tournament with anyone you need two people at least so after you have your handicap all you got to do is go into the clubhouse and um pay your fee obviously your green fee and specify if you’re doing nine holes or 18 holes in this case I’m going to be doing nine holes okay so I’m going to get the cor cards here we’re two players this one is mine and it’s going to be nine holes and this is my buddies okay so basically for nine holes I’m a six handicapper right now I’m playing six you can see that there 6.9 index and they’re giving me three Strokes right here on the last three holes so basically if I play better in this holes right here I get a little more points uh it’s going to be a stable for and see you can see that my friend he’s playing um handicap 3.9 and he gets two strokes okay so basically now you have the scores and all you got to do is just uh I’ll give my score to the other player and I get his score so I have to mark him and he’s going to Mark me and that’s pretty much it [Music] okay so basically this is my score car I actually play pretty good uh two over power so this is the player the marker can can uh put their scores right here and in the end you have to sign I have to sign the player here and then my marker has to sign there and that’s it that’s all you do you have to turn this in and then this this will count towards your handicap so basically being a marker means that you have to help the other player for instance if the other player hits it into the bushes you’re supposed to help him out give him a hand help him find his ball obviously within the rules of golf three minutes after that uh if the other player doesn’t know what to do you just you supposed to just guide him and help him out and at the end of every hole you’re supposed to ask him for C score so you you ask him what what did you score here or you can confirm you can say you got a boogie you got a part right and then write it down and wait till the end of the of the nine holes or 18 holes if you have any doubts uh maybe you know it could happen both ways a lot of times it could be like uh person could say you know I got a par and then you you’re like no I think you got a buggy because this and that so this cuss are there before you write it down and once you write it down it’s final so you know you don’t want to wait till the hole number eth and say well I think on the hole number two you actually didn’t score is your role is just to help the other guy out and write down his his score and then at the same time on the same um score you write on your score I did pretty good today uh score a plus two so that’s going to help me it’s only for nine holes but it’s the same concept you have to sign as player and then sign as marker for the uh on the score car and then you turn it in and everything is processed and then you will see the results uh on your app normally there is an app that you can see that and you can check on your on your hand the cap see if it went up or if it went down and that’s it that’s the way you play a tournament now if you have like more than two players then you have to exchange your your scorecard with other players not the same player so it has to be a different player uh your marker has to be a different player than the one that marks that you mark so that was it for the video I hope you enjoyed that make sure to leave a like and if you haven’t subscribed to the channel make sure to do so thanks for watching guys until next time [Music]
