Cam Davis shoots 2-under 70 | Round 4 highlights | Rocket Mortgage | 2024

In the final round of the 2024 Rocket Mortgage Classic, Cam Davis was able to stay in the hunt all day and edged out Akshay Bhatia by 1 stroke to claim his second PGA TOUR victory.

The PGA TOUR heads to Detroit this week for the Rocket Mortgage Classic at Detroit Golf Club. Rickie Fowler returns to defend his title after breaking his four-year win drought last year. The victory is his most recent top-15 finish anywhere, but he placed T12 here in 2020 and is also fresh off a T20 at the 2024 Travelers Championship last week at TPC Highlands. Fowler would be the first back-to-back winner in Rocket Mortgage’s history. Tom Kim will tee it up in Detroit after falling to Scottie Scheffler in a playoff at the Travelers Championship last week. The World No. 16 has claimed two top-five finishes in his last four events and finished T7 here two years ago. Cameron Young, who finished runner-up here in 2022, will also be in the field this week. He became the 12th player on the PGA TOUR to post a sub-60 score with 59 in Round 3 of the Travelers last week. A T9 finish on Sunday of Travelers was his sixth top-10 worldwide this year. Others to look for include Akshay Bhatia, Will Zalatoris, Min Woo Lee and Robert MacIntyre.

the mix again today a birdie now we go to seven and Cam Davis on the T at the par five just a gorgeous golf swing challenging that bunker down the left that’s 300 to cover oh no problem travel M just skirts it by and now in perfect shape and he can launch it way up in the air that big tree that guards the green should not be an issue he has an interesting warm-up he rarely hits the same Club two shots in a row his cadd calls out different yardages constantly going through the bag that’s a cool way to warm up it’s almost like playing around the golf comes up just short of the green meanwhile up at the green here is the third for Davis Cam Davis has the much simpler shot that one took a peak that was pretty played off of the up slope as we take you back to seven and Davis for the lead yes so the 2021 rocket mortgage classic Champion goes up by one back at 14 Cameron Davis playing his second that from 281 he’s having to go and it needs to go clut but he’s having a crack at this and he’s got tied for the lead and it’s not done rolling careful here no way oh had enough momentum to roll back in to the water hazard there the penalty and I do like droing here rather than the Drop Zone though I think it’s much easier to control your spin from here I’m with you co stay up on top I’ve got to say there the great Jack Nicholas who’s also a wonderful architect he’s done over 400 courses one is Hammer that sure was and perfect this 18th hole the toughest hole in the golf course today if you want to win and a pivotal shot for Cam Davis eight iron and oh he came up and out of it this is going to miss the green right might be his worst swing of the day Trevor oh just flared it luckily he got a soft bounce in the thick rough as we hit up to the 188 now nicely done finy here we go big shot for Davis good news is missing the hill wasted no time getting in there and playing that shot that is well done this is a huge putt to see if we will have a playoff Davis for par and a good recovery from Cameron Davis when he won the rocket morgage classic three years ago it was in a playoff and now he might be headed for another yeah two pretty clutch up and downs there at 17 and 18 from Davis showing a lot of Courage and he misses Cam Davis is your champion in mown dude oh my god oh my god wow I oh my God that is paa’s first three put of the week looking a little shocked by this as it is sinking in what’s going through your mind is you just won for the second time on the PGA tour don’t even know what to say oh sorry I um yeah from where I was a couple of weeks ago to today just completely different person this is actually um I wouldn’t wish it would happened to AR sh on anyone but I’ve done a lot of grinding to kind of get myself out of a hole and to just all of a sudden do that that’s pretty good yeah you and I talked about it yesterday the frustration and how difficult it can be to get into that head space to let good golf come to you what head space are you in that has allowed this great golf to come back uh it’s I mean I started working with a hypnotherapist u few weeks ago um just to take another angle into trying to get myself sorted out and Grace has done an awesome job I’ve got so many people behind me that I helping me along the way Brett was uh on the team as well I mean Ralph Andrew just everyone like I had a lot of support to kind of get me out of the uh the doldrums there and I saw a little bit of a spark last week but nothing to show this coming so this is this is crazy it takes a village congratulations go celebrate this one with your
