How Shaft Lean Affects Impact

when you lean the shaft the Leading Edge moves down so you can hit the bottom of the ball without hitting the ground when you leaning back the Leading Edge moves up don’t want to hit it th hit it from the rough

  1. I don't think I understand the second part. If it is in the rough, I want to have less shaft lean? but if it's in the fairway I want to have shaft lean? TIA.

  2. What you’re showing as shaft lean is what I would describe as a neutral position with the shaft pointing almost to the armpit of the lead side. Anything beyond that line I would consider shaft lean and you’ll know when you’re doing it as it’s not a natural position for your arms to hang down at. Not a big fan of shaft lean but it’s better than a completely vertical shaft at address.
