another home run Philly needs a prayer circle around Bryce Harper from all of you like please he’s on Pace to probably win his third MVP do not take him from us baseball gods and Angels rookie just turned in maybe the best Halo star since Reed detmir is no hitter and by the way it was the rookies MLB debut and the Orioles their offense might actually be unstoppable if this Hon Kat kid has finally clicked at the big league level all of that and more in today’s MLB recap yada yada yada used code fuzzy on SeatGeek Underdog fantasy let’s start talking baseball to begin today’s recap we have some awesome breaking news jameswood who I believe is the number three Prospect in all of baseball just behind Junior cero and Jackson holiday a lot of people would consider him to be the number one Prospect because he’s 6’7 who in Triple A had 13 doubles 10 home runs 10 stolen bases 39 walks to 41 strikeouts and a 346 batting average with a 1036 Ops at 21 years old if you want to know the comp for this kid there’s not really one because he’s 6’7 so he’s as strong and as tall as Aaron judge but he’s quicker than LED of the Cruz what even is that that’s a road to the show character he’s not supposed to even exist if you don’t remember he came on over in the WAN sto trade and the Nationals also picked up Robert Hassel in that trade he looks like he’s going to be very good they got Dylan Cruz in the draft the Nationals are are starting the process of calling up their super prospects and they could be really good really soon all right moving on um this was one of those double whammy losses for a fan base actually a triple whammy because I guess the Phillies lost schwarber he got hurt as well we’ll talk about that in a second the crazy part is the Phillies actually owned the first half of this game Bryce he barely missed a two-run home run he settles for his 20th double he’s one of the few players in baseball with 20 doubles and 20 home runs Rafael Maran he cranked one out they went up three after an amundo RBI single and with Zack Wheeler on the bump and Matt strm coming out the pen you’re thinking there’s no way the Phillies blow this lead but they did Matt strum he couldn’t locate he hits J Chisum Jr and Brian Dey Cruz he smoked an extra base hit to the Gap three end up scoring so he clears the bases Jazz he flew all the way around to score from first base Josh Bell he put the Marlins up by one on a double just an epic implosion from a guy who’s usually very very good the Phillies they momentarily tied it on a bom sack fly but again this just was not the Phillies night Marsh he’s now in for the injured schwarber he had something happened to his groin Jake berer he got it to just stay Fair Jake Berger has been miserable this year but hey that gave Miami the lead back and they would not give it back the Phillies they lose Kyle schwarber and then on one play to end the game they lose Harper in the game I’m hoping that it was just a charlie horse and we’ve all had those where you just get a cramp because you’re dehydrated or maybe it was a little bit too hot but after the game Harper said that it hurts he’s never felt anything like it we need a prayer circle around Bryce Harper because he could be a three time MVP he’s been that good he was the number one vote Getters in the NL for All Stars like please baseball guys don’t take him from us now lucky for Philly their future center fielder I mean um Luis Rober Jr he saved the Phillies from losing any ground in the division this solo home run in the first was literally the only run that either team scored all game Luis by the way has eight home runs in 28 games he grabbed a second base hit in the fourth but uh White Sox fans what’s going on with Eloy is he hurt like he has to be there’s no way that you get thrown out on that play unless you’re hurt or you’ve been instructed to run at 30% so you don’t get hurt anyway Chris Sail he was very very good after that home run how good was he he had eight strikeouts through five innings and he ended his night with 11 strikeouts after going seven Innings he has a 2.7 erra and 11.3 strikeouts per nine he has been Sensational the white socks they use five different guys they started with Chad cool he went through shut out and then four other guys held the Brave scoreless on just two base hits the rest of the way Michael copc he shuts the door which is surprising that doesn’t happen very often but the white sock they’re shutting out a team for once the Braves they stay eight games back of the Phillies for first place all right Yankees fans I’m sorry we got to rip the bandaid off we got to show the Yankees blowout and then we’ll talk about the Orioles blowout but in the Orioles game the Orioles were not the ones getting blown out so it was a bad day all around for Yankees fans Carlos rhon has been absolutely cheeks lately short hair vlat he is so dang good/ lucky everything is going his way right now the bat snaps in half for an RBI double and check this out Justin Turner he barely even make contact it rolls into the bag rookie Ben rice he wanted to see if it would go foul but then it bounced away everyone is safe and ouch yikes whatever you want to call it George Springer he launched a three-run blast for his 249th career home run so he’s one away from 250 well he was one away that’s number 250 right there George’s second three-run home run of the night put an exclamation point on this horrid stretch from the Yankees but it got even more embarrassing because Boon he wanted to replace rodon rodon said I got this so relief pitcher Phil Bickford he was halfway to the mound he had to reverse course go back to the bullpen and Sprint back I mean rhon did a battle back he finishes five frames but that’s embarrassing now Trent Grisham did Bel a two run home run he’s been pretty good lately he is four home runs and a 380 on base this month but let’s see how Vladimir Guerrero Jr got bailed Again by the baseball guyss at first you might be thinking how did he get bailed he got screwed because that should be Ball Four he’s got to come back to the box now the baseball God said no to the walk and yes to a home run why would you want to walk when you can do that vlat he’s hitting 3:30 with eight home runs and an almost 920 Ops since May 5th that’s a 163 WRC plus the Yankees they fought to 2 and8 over their last 10 they’ve allowed seven plus runs and seven out of those last 10 games and rodon who got $170 million because the two years prior to him getting that contract he had a 2.6 ER and a 12.2 strikeouts per nine in 31 starts as a Yankee he has a 5.4 ER the strikeouts have plummeted to only an 8.9 strikeouts per nine the home runs have doubled he went from a 0.7 home runs per nine to a 1.8 home runs per nine he has been absolutely atrocious one of the worst left-handed contracts in baseball right now which is saying something because Jordan Montgomery Patrick Corbin and Blake Snell all exists like Robbie Ray I forgot about Robbie Ray as well so yeah if you’re a general manager just do not give any money to a left-handed starter they’re going to have a 6 ER and completely ruin your financials for the next decade oh by the way if you guys forgot because that was a lot of mess that we had to cover the cherry on top for this no good Awful very bad miserable day for Yankees fans the Orioles they embarrassed Texas and I mean the Orioles Mega lineup was kind of in effect and we’re not even factoring in Jackson holiday or Kobe Mayo hon kirad he knocked in gunar Henderson and the potential Allstar Jordan Westberg the rookie cleared the bases he missed his 14th home run by a few feet that is a three-run three bagger the dude’s got 48 RBI hon kirat he stepped in and he cranked a 415 two-run Moon shot to center field this kid is the final infinity stone hon was the second overall pick in 2020 in Triple A this year he had 16 home runs and 58 RBIs in 56 games while hitting 301 if he gets going and Baltimore trades for a Garrett crochet or someone else who is going to stop them like that started a barrage of home runs Albom he got one for Texas that’s his 15th and by the way that was the only run that Corin Burns allowed Cedric he had his pitchers back that is a two-run no doubter Cedric has nine home runs Burns he went seven Innings he got Seager to chase for his Fifth and final strikeout Corbin Burns has a 2.28 ER he could honestly be joining some Elite comp and if he keeps this up he probably will win a sa young and he’ll be one of the few starters ever to win a sa young in both the NL and the Al I think the last guy was Blake Snell Ali Rutman went full Adrien Beltre from the left-handed batters box he hit one on one knee Alli he’s been better than I ever thought he’s sitting 300 with 15 home runs and 15 RB before July I would take that from a catcher over a full season let alone one half Colton cower he muscled up to get the Baltimore Orioles into double digits that is a statement game and if they make a trade cool if not they have a guy Chase McDermot he’s been nasty in Triple A the Orioles are sitting pretty right now man between the Carlos rhond deal Blake Snell being awful and Jordan Montgomery being absolute batting practice I mean again the next time a free agent pitcher goes live he might get $14 and a gift card to Canes it’s just getting sad they’re all getting pumbloom got booed again I think that’s back to back to back stars that he’s been booed or maybe it’s back to back I can’t remember uh he was chucking his pitchcombe baseball and Byron buckton what did that baseball do to you bro 456 ft a three-run moonshot to the edge of space David Festa he was making his MLB debut he went three scoreless when Arizona they woke up a bit could tell I mean there’s no shame in that he has 17 home runs he did bounce back talking about David Festa he had his first two career strikeouts ultimately Dugout he was super upset but X-rays were negative I’m just praying that he actually dodged some very bad news Arizona they scratched a few more runs home but to no avail the Twins win 11 to six they’re inching back they’ve won two in a row the Guardians they’re trying to avoid losing two in a row this is a huge series The Guardians are in Kansas City Bobby Jr he tossed out Kanan to get Waka out of the jam but Waka he’s in another Jam two ducks are on awn with nobody out Daniel schneeman the rookie he lifted a sack fly for the game’s first run Michael Waka he was yanked from the game at five and a third he only allowed the one run Lefty Sam long he was so dominant in this game he Strikes Out Baylor and this almost never happens like not only did he strike out Steven Quan but it’s not just any strikeout he made Steven Quan look silly Daniel schneeman he’s been so so good so I can’t really be too mad at him but he got caught in a bad route and a bad read off the bat that ball gets past him Isbell he Motors around for a triple and make it backto back triples Michel Garcia has been terrible all year except for these situations runners in scoring position Vin he pass know he’s number one in this stat he’s number one in sack flies in all of the American League and then General I call him General SL closer James MacArthur CU it just sounds like a civil war name he closed it a nice little gift to himself well wait Noelia Marte is back this is very bad for the rest of baseball he Lac an RBI double his first of three base hits Goldie he cranked one as well but Stuart Fairchild he does not care about his health he wants to make every play physically possible what a play from him now Nolan did have goldes back he made sure that this ball did leave Nolan’s only hitting 250 with seven home runs and a 96 Ops plus he hasn’t been very good over the last two seasons Ellie he’s ated again with the speed he steals second base for his 38th stolen bag of the year and the man who RS that’s number 10 Spencer steer is on Pace for 20 home runs 103 RB and 24 stolen bases he’s one of the best fantasy players in all of Major League Baseball will Benson he kept the extra base stuff going he goes the other way for an RBI double steuart Fairchild same exact thing he smokes an RBI double and and then a few moments later he stepped in again and he singled for another RBI again this is a scary game both Baltimore and Cincinnati are showing what they’re capable of and do not forget about Christian incarna on strand who had nine home runs 21 RBI and a near 340 batting averages final 21 starts last year he’s not healthy right now if he comes back and rakes the Reds offense will be one of the best in baseball they just have to have the pitching this is a really fun baseball name Davis Daniel he was making his MLB debut for the Angels that’s an easy one two three first inning he needs a lot of that because he’s facing Jack flarity when did Miguel Sono get back so many dudes are just magically showing up from the I or suspensions I got to get better with keeping up with that so now he rips a solo home run and Davis Daniel he kept carving on the bump he went for shut out and now he’s up by two Willie Calhoun he jumped on a fast ball Willie Calhoun is hitting 280 with 12 extra base hits the slugging has to go up considering he’s their DH but maybe hitting 280 with a bunch of singles is all they need Davis K’s the bad man who despite my inner Fanboy a kilb was on the verge of getting cut Davis then got Malloy to whiff so it’s five scoreless for the rookie and that was basically the trend for the rest of this game shael he ruined the Home Run and Davis carving Vibes with an RBI single but rifo he got right back to the home run stuff with a two-run jack Rano is hitting 312 with the 122 Ops plus and 20 stolen bases now we can go back to Davis Daniel more strikeouts in the sixth he’s back out for the eighth inning the rookie went eight shut out only four base hits with eight strikeouts Ben he got Colt Keith on a perfect perfect ground ball right to Zack Netto the Angels they’ve won four games in a row and Davis Daniel in Epic fashion gets his first career W good for him Nico hoer he put a charge into one finally that is his first extra base hit in 19 games a big time boost for the Cubs offense right there Bellinger he singled after Nico’s home run and he flew around on a seya triple SOA I mean he can really motor too Luis Matos had a bad breaker read off the bat so it’s now three nothing but the Giants they answered in the sixth inning shto was so close but he ran out of gas in that sixth they scored three runs the first was on a loud RBI double from Jorge cair and after a wild pitch scores their second run Luis Matos he squibbed one no one can make the play we are tied a 36 mph exit velocity base hit we fast forward to the 10th inning and Ian half I mean that is a mean swing on a mistake pitch from the heavens that broke right into the Lefty wheelhouse half he’s officially in the double digit home run Club despite the fact that he’s hitting like 220 or something like that Porter hodj that is a real name Porter hodj this was almost a scary ending bod ran into Hodge but he does glove it the Cubs they do win 5 to3 I think that’s the first career save for Porter hodj wait hold up Porter hodj has a 1.8 ER and 15 strikeouts in 10 Innings he’s a rookie he’s nasty he’s only 23 years old now just like we do in every shorter recap I like to give an update on the stat leaders and all of the division standings across baseball so batting average leaders sh Otani is number one and batting average average and home runs in the NL he’s got 25 home runs and a 322 batting average he just needs the RB to be a Triple Crown guy but the rest of the batting average leaders we have proar still hitting 3116 Rano we talked about him today Bobby wh junior is hitting 310 along with Luis arise he wins leaders Seth Lugo has 10 wins same with ranger suarz Chris Sale who has been one of the best trade pieces of the last few years in my opinion Corbin Burns same thing Zack Wheeler they both have nine wins at the bottom home runs judge is the only one in the 30 home run Club but JN Henderson a 22-year-old middle infielder has 26 followed by Shi Marcelo Zuna and Jose Ramirez Jose Ramirez has been an absolute unit this year as well erra Ronaldo Lopez has a 1.7 ra he was a relief pitcher for the white socks and the angels and the Guardians last year now he’s got a 1.7 ER as a starter for the Braves because of course they just fixed Chris Sale and Ronaldo Lopez Rangers got a 2.01 ER Tanner H has been incredible Corbin we talked about him today Seth luga we talked about him a couple days ago RBI judge has 77 already only two guys in the 70 RBI Club then you have Alec bom just behind Jose Ramirez with 65 Jose has 72 obviously Marcel has 64 so oh look at that Otani is three behind Marcel I thought that otano was still in the 50 RB he’s got 61 Ryan Hesley is ahead of Emanuel CL by three in terms of saves he’s got 28 to class a 25 then you have finegan who I think is going to get traded same with Lane Thomas because they’re kind of older guys who are free agents in the next few years so once you get a jameswood on the squad and some other guys finegan and Lane Thomas become Expendable because you can build towards the future ryel glacius and Robert Suarez they’re tied with 20 hits Luis arise has 105 because he stays healthy and just gets at bat after at bat after at bat Bobby Otani Jose Altuve and jiren Duran who got snubbed from making the All-Star team he is fifth in baseball with 96 hits behind those guys strikeouts glaz now has 135 trade bait G crochet and his former teammate Dylan CE still think that he’s been really good Bobby junr has 21 and look at David Hamilton at 21 as well he’s kind of what I thought Billy Hamilton was going to be like David Hamilton the last few weeks is what I thought Billy Hamilton was going to be and then quality starts if you don’t remember that six Innings without allowing more than three runs wheeler Lugo Burns Hal Gilbert probably a few other guys they leave the pack with 13 and then in terms of the standings yo I forgot to say this the Orioles are officially tied with the Yankees for first place in the AL East I did not know that the Red Sox look at them they’re 43 and 37 but that’s how good the AL East has been despite the fact that they’re six games over 500 and 8 and2 over their last 10 with a positive run differential they’re s and a half games back the rays are one game under 500 and the Jays they’re on a win streak but they’re still three and seven over their last 10 the Guardians they’ve lost tun we talked about them earlier in this video the twins they’ve won two in a row just like the Royals so they’re seven and eight games back respectively we won’t talk about the Tigers of the white socks the Mariners they won the last time that we talked about them but the Astros they’ve won seven in a row so they’ve gained a lot of ground they’re four and a half games back the Rangers are seven games under 500 I’m not going to go and say that they have to be desperate at the deadline but they need sherzer to be him he was really good in his first start he felt some pain so hopefully he’s okay the gr’s got to come back John gry has to be better so there you go the national league the Phillies again schwarber and who else Spencer Turnbull and Bryce Harper all within like 48 hours that is not good the Braves they’re still eight games back so luckily the Phillies built a massive cushion the Mets are 8-2 so the opposite of the Yankees who are 2-8 the Mets have won three games in we’ll talk about the wild card in just a moment the Nationals they go from being 500 to four games under to now they have jameswood because they’ve lost three in a row we’ll see how that works out the Brewers are 6 and a half games ahead of the Cardinals the Brewers have won four games in a row we didn’t play yesterday but they’re 15 games over 500 the Cardinals have looked better as of late the Pirates they got Paulk Mitch Keller Jared Jones and Brian rolds has a 23 game hit streak the Reds again they got no elv Marte back Andrew Abbott walked six guys but he only allowed two runs they’re looking like they’re only going to get better the Cubs they’re trying to fight out of the recent slump and the Dodgers they’re eight and a half games ahead of the Padres who just lost tatis probably until the All-Star break so I think the Dodgers who have one four in a row hey the Padre’s have one three in a row as well maybe the Padre’s keep on winning but I think that their best bet is going to have to be the Wild Card same with the Diamondbacks and the giant so let’s talk about the wild card so in the AL the Yankees would actually have to be a wild card team because they have a losing record against the Orioles so pay attention to that season series for the rest of the year the twins are in it right now the Royals they’re half game ahead of the Red Sox who are still fighting like hell the Astros are three and a half games back then you have the Rays the Jays the Rangers the Tigers all within seven games and then the Angels they’ve won four in a row they’re back to being within 10 games of a wild card spot maybe rendone and trout come back and shred and Reed de MIRS gets it all figured out at Triple A I have no idea the national league the Braves are ahead by three and a half games then you have the Padres and the Cardinals as the final two teams as the wild card but the Mets the Pirates the Diamondbacks the Giants the Nationals the Reds and the Cubs are all within four games one losing streak from the top teams and one winning streak from the bottom teams flips everything so the wild card is going to be absolute Mayhem this year and honestly I like it it’s kind of fun my studio lights
