An interview with the manager, Scott Brown, discussing pre-season 2024-25
Scott what can fans expect this season in terms of A’s ambition to be part of the promotion shakeup yes it’s a lot title this season obviously Liv them coming down uh dund United going up so no it’s going to be an interesting season there it’s going to be huge for us with all the new signings that’s came in and hopefully the lads Jael together really really quickly and we’ve got the cup compet itions and a lot of friendlies coming up as well so hopefully they get the opportunity to see a lot of goals and hopefully some entertaining football as well how important is the connection with the fans oh it’s huge and you can see especially Fraser Fraser loves the fans and he’s part of them he’s been over there week in week out supporting them and he’s been able to play for a as well so it’s huge that we get the support of the fans that everyone kind of buys into how we want to play and we want press high up the park and get after them and hopefully we play some entertaining football and it helps the fans out watch game you can feel the anticipation building at the moment what would you say to fans who are deliberating about whether they’re going to Splash out for a season ticket come along support the lads and hopefully it’s a fantastic season and your support’s huge for us and it’s it’s a fantastic club and we want to push as far as we possibly can and use are the 12th man and you’re going to help us and obviously it’s the open day on Saturday and that is an opportunity to get your season ticket yeah definitely we’ve got a golf day on on Friday and then we’ve got the open day at the stadium on Saturday as well and it’s going to be great bring the kids along and hopefully you can see all the lads as well and the lads might get a little game of five asides with them as well sounds good um I talked about anticipation building is your anticipation building how are you feeling at the moment yeah I’m looking forward to it it’s good for myself and Steven to get the lads in preseason and push them through their Paces but also to see how we want them to play from start to finish and that that’s with a lot of new bodies as well coming in so the lads have been excellent we’ve got a lot of new signings in and hopefully a couple more to come in but at the same time the ones that are here are here to make sure they fight for that start in 11 place we’re standing on the playing surface how are you feeling about it the pitch is looking really good stand behinds looking excellent so no and once we do open the stand hopefully it’s a it’s a great atmosphere as well and hopefully this brings a a lot more money to the club as well but also it shows you the ambition of the club as well let’s hope for a great season Scott thanks very much thank you very much Rob
