After a three-year stay at Marco Simone Golf & Country Club, the DP World Tour makes its way to Adriatic Golf Club which will host the Italian Open presented by Regione Emilia-Romagna for the first time. Tom McKibbin will be in the field this week. He made the cut at his first Major Championship in the U.S Open three weeks ago and went onto claim his fifth top ten of year – and third in his last five starts – at the KLM Open last week. He currently sits 20th in the Race to Dubai Rankings. Guido Migliozzi will also be in the field after his win in the Netherlands last week. It seemed to be coming as the Italian enjoyed a strong run of form finishing runner-up at the Volvo China Open, followed by a 24T at the Soudal Open and a tie for 8th at the European Open three weeks ago before his victory. Danny Willett will also be in Italy this week. The Previous Masters champion and eight-time winner on the DP World Tour is on the comeback trail after his shoulder injury and played well for a T29 finish last week at the KLM Open. Others to look out for include Sebastian Söderberg, Laurie Canter and Patrick Reed.

among was out early today was antoan Rosner the Frenchman who birded the 18th yesterday to make the cut on the mark but what a day Richard he did yes he was out in 32 which is three under he second to the 18th so left himself a little edgy one to finish with I suppose 2 feet or so just inside the right lip in it goes and for making the cut on the line at one underp pass 68 players made the cut he shoots 62 and now he’s right at the top of the lead B well as we is on the comeback Trail after hip surgery but didn’t take him long to get off the Mark today started the day five shots behind so looking for a fast start and he got it with a birdie there at one par the second and on three sha power four makes a long [Applause] one right hand side of the second it’s a tough F was a bit of a brute this second well I’ll tell you what he’s made that look very easy pick that one up Adrien sad so out to number six this par three and Eduardo Molinari with the new longer P well not so new now and that’s what he’s been doing quite a a lot of certainly this week so that makes amends for the drop shot at four Switzerland’s CH gerbach is having a really good season chance for him at number six looks good and is so he moves within a three shots of the lead it’s tracking oh that’s a fantastic start for Marcus kinnel feeding off the strong memories of last week playing so beautifully there pinet short rights and that’s going to be pretty good guys look at that beef keep playing well not having the best today is Alex Fitzpatrick unfortunately this to go into the final round at level that should go in surely y well done get me out of here consolation 53 finish unfortunately for Alex this is Nicholas noar who’s having a good season he’s got this to get to 6 under at 17 tell you what they would have had a pretty good four ball combined score these two today when we see them going up the leaderboard from as far back as they started to dat could hear some brunches there Jamie done well isn’t he yeah almost taking the heat off the ball that’s it’s got a decent putt for power now brilliant St from weeby he will have that for his first birdie today there’s only about five yards of green avilable behind this pin so jam point is a really good one told you yeah very difficult flag to get to Jamie doesn’t it third shot to the par seventh expect a little bit of spin here Tim that looked like a full shot here we go it’s coming yeah again an intelligent play wasn’t he knows there’s a little slope there that can feed the ball back towards the pin at seven remember he took driver off the te this is his fourth cool dear oh cruel oh cruel 114 yards to a pin barely on the green has to pitch it by hopefully gets a bit of spinach on it easy isn’t it yeah that’s a beautifully played shot isn’t it flag as Jamie suggest just five yards on and five from the right Edge so very tight to the edge of the greens but you want to be to be absolutely sure that you’ve got your card for next season well as of right now yes um I probably would have said top 80 top 85 I would have thought yeah he wouldn’t want to be much more than that frickson at the ninth third shot nicely [Applause] played now look here at the 11th over the back has he duffed it she Bank shami yes he did just caught it a little heavy frickson into the back nine his second shot here at the 10 pin over on the left and he’s pretty much found it in terms of direction if anybody can spin it he can cuz that club face is super open at the top well just took away that control didn’t it as you said if he was on The Fairway you could have knocked that in really close to the flag but yeah not it’s not a bad result though to him is it that I don’t think nice out here it’s fun just two off the lead he’s fired that one straight at the pin and brought it to a standstill he’s got another one he really is moving along nicely two under par today one off the lead yeah not on The Fairway unfortunately it was a tough Pitch Out 13 122 to cover the Fringe directly in line with the hole little bit of a flyer lie that is brilliant KY that surely is looks like he might well get away with the four here after interesting little pre-shot routine there you can see him sort of imitating his impact position just before he takes the club away so of see his hips open up the right knee kick in the hands move forward he’s just sort of saying that’s where I want to be when I strike the ball flag cut behind the front bunker but from this range that won’t bother him only has eyes for the pin here and that is stunning well played indeed frickson is he Duff that one or has he played it all right let’s go up there Hill there no he’s not got all of that he’s looking double bogey out of absolutely nowhere this is looking like long way from the hole shank sha for his two oh yeah Beauty can you believe that how’s that is that a none part Char goach at the 18th second shot laid up off the tea short of the band of rough that has been put in there to try and test the players and that has proved to be an excellent plan brilliant shot from him there see what Sharma can do he’s got a very straight FL FL that was close rid faced Club here probably playing it little pitch and run with a five five iron something like that they done well a what a shot that is how’d you get on on the 15 oh yeah birded that one they’re not overhanging for him so up and over but he flying like can get out of that grasp between club and the ball and it goes too far or or you can knock it five fet brilliant shot playing with saan his second shot he’s gone with the longer Club off the teer and hit it into that band ofy and lost control as a result straight into the Tama ham and melon and that’s exactly what he’s managed to do brilliantly played up to 18 and Andrea Pavan for a closing birdie all beard an outside chance hello [Applause] what takey at the par five 15th that was rather nice wasn’t it now we’d love a birdie see if he can get himself in that final group on Sunday just pulled it a touch oh and he got a bounce lucky boy Marcel and he knows it he does find the birdie at 18 it is a round of 66 for Marcel scene remember 3 months out of the game rehabilitating from that hip surgery he only four tournaments into the comeback and he’s going to another a chance isn’t he on Sunday [Applause] and he can what a good round that was today for frecks 68 and there’s a couple of Drop shots in there as well to a back left pin it’s tight one as well on the left here on 18 yeah nicely done [Applause] so four at the top Rosner seam Sharma and frickson AI tucked in there as well just one shot behind as we say it is wide open heading into the final round of the 81st open ditalia Antoine excellent stuff you bued the final hole in your round yesterday to make the cut on the number and you shoot around like this today I mean what are you most pleased with yeah I think as you say out of all the birdies I made this week so far the one on 18 yesterday was was huge uh bit 17 to be out of the cut line and uh yeah I had no other choice to than uh hit the pin and make the PO and that’s what I did so uh to be honest I got back this morning with a a little bit of a mindset of nothing to lose and uh the conditions were lovely the greens were pure so uh you know I think I just took advantage of it it it was a it was an amazing day bit of a difference with that mindset like you talked about but in your game what was the biggest difference I think in my game it was just uh holding putts really I struggled a little bit the first two days on the greens and uh and today I was just rolling it very nicely the greens as I said were were very pure and uh yeah it was uh it was really nice I trusted myself a little bit more on the on the reads and uh and committed a little bit more to my line so I think that was a that was a big difference in the mindset and uh hopefully I can bring a little bit of that tomorrow yeah a big switch right so you make the cut on the number now you’re right in contention uh going into weekend you know tomorrow’s Sunday the final day to play how do you reset your mentality I need a little bit of time to be honest cuz I never thought I would be in this position right now uh after being one under after two rounds uh so yeah I need a little bit of time to process everything I think uh I’ll enjoy my afternoon because it’s it’s only 12:00 it’ll be uh it’ll be a nice and relaxing afternoon but uh I’ll be ready tomorrow and hopefully I can uh come back with the same mindset and uh and to low low score congratulations I’m really well played thank you to watch another DP world tour video click here and to subscribe click here
