Christie Sides ADMITS Caitlin Clark NEEDS MORE SHOTS After Another LACKLUSTER Coaching Performance.

welcome to the B Daniel podcast we’re calling a spade a spade Christy sides said some interesting things in her postgame interview following their loss to the Seattle Storm and folks I actually wanted to come here before I went to sleep and bring you some information regarding what she said Chrissy sides said a few things that are nonsense as she always does but she said two things that really stand out to me one thing that was nonsense about Caitlyn Clark and her passing pulling get back in she trusts her but she also trusts her not to make a bad decision whatever chrisy we’re not going to get into that two things she said one I think I actually heard her take accountability for not making any defensive adjustments on JY Lloyd we’re going to get into that and number two she said Caitlyn Clark needs to shoot minimum 15 times per game does anybody else on the team know that does k Mitchell know that does Eric wheeler know that does Nelissa Smith know that does anybody else besides you know does kayn Clark even know that Christie something inside tells me that this is the first time that you’re actually vocalizing that out loud something tells me that this is the first time that you actually decided to put those words in that order out loud in spoken form so in case you guys haven’t heard it we’re going to listen to a couple of the Christy sides taking accountability I think for her lack of Defense lack of adjustments the fact that she’s getting cooked by Jo Lloyd every single time they played going to come back talk about that then we’re going to talk about Chrissy side saying kayin Clark needs to shoot minimum 15 times the biggest croc of I have ever heard come out of Chrissy size mouth let’s take a listen to this folks shall we um juel had 30 points each to the last two times youve played them just what kind of defensive adjustments have you tried to make in game or like what have you tried to do even if it didn’t work yeah I mean we were switching we were trying to R her at times we were trying to we we need we didn’t make her uncomfortable she was very comfortable she was getting I mean she was hitting tough shots she’s a great player J’s one of the best players in this league to play the game and she just got hot um early and we didn’t do anything uh you know we’ve got to do do some different things to to slow L down um that that’s on me we hit some you know we missed some early shots in that first quarter I think we left eight eight points on the board you know with some layups you know we ended up scoring 21 points but we gave up 30 so we get those points get a couple stops but that you know we’ve just got to match them they’re one of the best teams in the league all right so you heard it there right she said that’s on me right she said we didn’t make adjustments we didn’t do enough to make her uncomfortable she pretty much did whatever she wanted she said that’s on me but in typical Christy Sid’s fashion nice backhanded uh compliment right there yes she takes accountability but instantly spins it into how the team didn’t convert the easy layups the team didn’t convert the bunnies so yes she barely took accountability and then quickly tried to gloss it over with the team not doing this the team not doing that the team not doing this the team not doing that Chrissy sides you messed up on defense appreciate you for taking accountability for but let’s maybe sit on that a little bit longer because what happened last game against the Chicago Sky what happened last game against the Chicago Sky Angel Reese came out in the second half looked at Nelissa Smith and said listen to me Nelissa listen to me I’m the captain now I’m the captain now on some Tom Hanks right that’s what Angel re said to Nelissa Smith and cooked her up and down the floor while talking trash as the Chicago sky came back from a 15 plus Point deficit to beat the IND Indiana fever so you didn’t make any adjustments last game then you have 3 days off tell us that you’re practicing defense only to come out this game three days later to get cooked for 34 points by Joel Lloyd and what do you do continue to not make adjustments so I’m getting a little tired of the same song and dance but at least this time around you decided to take some type of accountability for your actions today good for you Christy sides I am so proud of you woohoo weoo woohoo we now the other thing that I told you is that Chrissy side said Kaylin Clark needs to shoot at minimum 15 times folks I guarantee you this is the first time she said this out loud this is the first time I’m hearing about it this is the first time you’re hearing about it this is the first time Caitlin Clark’s hearing about it this is the first time Lyn Dunn’s hearing about it this is the first time Erica wheeler is hearing about it this is the first time Nelissa Smith is hearing about it this is the first time Ayah Boston is hearing about it this is the first time Kelsey Mitchell is hearing about it this is the first time Lexi Hull is hearing about it this is the first time Katie L Samson is hearing about it this is the first time Victoria Saxton is hearing about it this is the first time dearis dtis is hearing about it Celeste Taylor isn’t even on the team anymore this is the first time she is hearing about it how come if kitlin Clark at minimum should have 15 field goal attempts per game why am I watching every game go by with her teammates have more attempts than her why am I watching consistently Kelsey michell shoot more or Erico wheeler short more or both of them shoot more Aaliyah Boston shoot more Kelsey Mitchell shoot more or both of them shoot more Kelsey Mitchell shoot more Eric wheeler shoot more or both of them shoot more car a Wheeler Kelsey Mitchell and aiyah Boston all three of them shoot more if the message was communicated to the team hey make sure Caitlin getss our touches hey make sure Caitlin gets the ball back hey make sure Caitlin shoots hey make sure Caitlin gets the ball often enough to where she can facilitate for the team and get her own so she hits her minimum 15 shots per game if that’s being communicated to the team then how come we’re watching the trash that we’re watching then how come we’re watching some of the garbage that we’re watching how come we’re watching some of the plays where they just refuse to look back in her Direction I understand she got double on her screen I understand you got the ball in relief but I also understand you don’t need to run around with your chick like a chicken with their head cut off and completely push down the left side of the Court you can wait dribble dribble okay Kaitlin come get the ball back let’s run this again you know that can happen right Christie you know that can happen so let’s take a listen right here let’s hear what Chrissy sides has to say about the potential of 15 shots minimum per game this is going to be uh very funny huh almost every post game Caitlyn says something about um I need to do a better job hunting my shot do you want her to shoot more do you are do you feel like she’s not taking enough shot yeah K Kaylin Clark needs to shoot it minimum 15 shots a game for us I mean she’s got to get shots we’ve got to do a better job of of setting her up and and setting some really good screens for her to get her open you know the way people guard her it’s tough because she’s getting redded so once the ball’s out of her hands she’s setting our the rest of our team up for some really great looks but when we’re not able to finish those we’ve got to make sure we’re going back and trying to get her back to that ball getting that ball back in her hands at TOS do you want to be her to be able to be setting screens for her to come off instead of just ball screens like for her to just come up shoot catch like she didn’t do that a lot in she always had the ball in her hands yeah I mean you know the way we’re the way teams to play I mean if she gets a ball screen they’re just going to do everything to take it out of her hands they’re going to R her I mean that’s what she’s getting every time she’s getting some pretty good looks when she’s off the ball but you know we like her on the ball so we just got to figure out how to manage the two Kelsey when are you going to figure that out when are we going to figure out how to manage the two when are we going to when when when when are we going to come to some type of decision this is how we’re going to manage the two because from what I see every single game what you just said right there is a bunch of hoopla you remember that SpongeBob right hoopla hoopla hoopla hoopla you remember that right folks that’s exactly what Chrissy Sid said right there a bunch of hoopla so wait you tell me that you like having her on the ball okay so why aren’t we seeing enough on ball screens okay put that to the side you tell me that okay well when she has it on the ball teams are just ring her so we’re going to get an off ball instead her some off ball screens perfect so how come we don’t see any off ball screens whatever that’s besides the point and then you also said she needs we need we need to do a better job at once she comes off the ball of making an effort to get her the ball back we are almost 20 games into the season nearly halfway into the season and and where’s that all been where’s that all been did you not know that after Games 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 did you not I was going to do a you saw me getting one two three 4 five 6 seven eight AMS in my bank I was getting ready to do some 21 Savage I was getting ready to do it you guys saw did you not notice that the first half of the Season where 19 games in you got people ready to turn this off and now you’re coming to the conclusion oh yeah we got to get kayin to shoot 15 times minimum per game minimum per game when she comes off the ball when she comes off the ball we got to do a better job of making an effort make a conscious effort to get her the ball back you know cuz Kaylin she needs to shoot the ball minimum 15 times and that reporter I don’t know who that reporter was Kaylin played off the ball in college she wasn’t this Luca Dage bold dominant player like people are trying to make me think she was people know who all these other players are on Iowa because guess what they had the ball in their hands at times right yes we know Kate Martin because she hit her threes unlike Chris Dalles yes we know M Kate Martin because she made her open layups unlike Kelsey Mitchell yes we know them for that reason but we know Gabby Marshall for being some relief dribbling the ball do we not we know Hannah Stoli for sitting on the top of the key and running a little bit of offense around her we know ogrady coming in from the bench running all the offense through her so you guys need to tell me Chrissy size what the hell are you talking about what are you talk do I take this at face do I actually take this as what you said you are actually taking accountability for not making any adjustments defensively after having a sha Chicago Sky game where you failed to make any adjustments defensively so now we’re in back-to-back games where we made zero defensive adjustments and now we have back-to-back losses due to zero defensive adj okay and now we have kayin Clark at minimum should shoot 15 times Kaitlin Clark at minimum should shoot 15 times that’s what I was just told folks in real time let’s go to kitlin Clark basketball reference Sherie how many how many times has Caitlin Clark shot more than 15 times so far this year that’s the question I’m asking all of you how many times you let me know do you think it’s over or under five times go ahead go ahead over under five times I’ll let you know right now so far this year Kaylin Clark has shot over 15 times over 15 times four times she has shot a minimum of 15 times 16 times 16 out of 19 games she has shot 15 times or more folks that is a 33% clip Kaylin Clark has shot the ball 33 times or uh 15 times or more 33% clip that sounds like to me nobody has gotten the memo not Kaitlin Clark not Erica wheeler not Kelsey Mitchell not aiyah Boston not even the coaching staff until just now nobody got the memo that kayin Clark needs to get 15 shots a minimum this is the issue with Christy siid could she have had this thought this entire time she could have but did she vocalize this not to my knowledge but if she did did she vocalize it to the team and if she did did that message get through and if that message did not get through what are you doing about it Christie shout out to coach JB what he always says you either coach it or you allow it so chrisy sides very simple question
