Riad season Anthony Joshua takes on Daniel dear the poster looks amazing the fights look amazing and it’s amazing to be joining with you as well it’s nice and you’ve got the broadcasters working together again the promoters working together again uh good fight uh an opportunity for for AJ to become a three-eight heavyweight champion now uh Daniel’s been I think he been officially elevated to I F Champion uh which is great for Daniel uh uh it’s a great fight to have here in in in in the UK at Wembley uh and you got two Brits fighting for World title again so again it’s it’s something to look forward to there’s been great domestic world heavyweight title fights you know in in the UK I mean so you could think of Lennox Lewis against um Frank Bruno and fury Wy Etc what do you think this one ranks for it for all the marbles I guess at Wembley Stadium and AJ becoming aiming to become a three time world champion well you know what you look at both both Fighters and and you know you look at last few per performances you’re thinking wow you’re seeing a devastating version of of Anthony Joshua it’s probably you know it’s time come to stepped up to Mark say Here I Am you’re looking at Downy du you know performances you the last company thinking all right there you go and these these are two Brits I think it’ll be absolutely packed out I think it’ll be it’ll be one of those fights where where you’re going to ain’t going to go the distance no way but you’re going to get exactly what you’re paying for got two heavyweights that can bang uh and and I don’t think the Bad Blood neither guys are like that very respectful of each other but this is boxing this is business um but I’m excited to see it for yourself Johnny you’ve always banged on about being mentally ready for fights and having like the maturity of a fight maybe in Daniel D’s past fights you could say he weren’t mentally ready for guys like usk and maybe even someone like Joe Joyce with the way them fights ended when you look at D now under Don Charles having a couple fights with him feel like he’s almost like aged mentally immature and immaturity I see it with both Fighters you know this it was the same conversation you know we’ve had about Anthony Joshua now he’s come know stepped into the light looking at his last couple performances um I definitely with Daniel and the thing in that sport people if you if you lose you know people you’re getting written off you know and you that the strongest character has been able to ride through it get through that point where people actually have to eat humble and Pine you know what you Prov me wrong there but you got to take it’s part of they growing up you got to take your licks man you got to take the criticism as you do with the praise so for Daniel um uh of his last couple of performances B right I think Don Charles is a really really good trainer underrated trainer he just needed the right tools to work with um and and this is going to be the first of one of Don Charles’s success stories uh this guy’s so wise uh in regards to it and now the pen is dropping and I speaking to I said how was you working how did it work out with his dad being there he said actually his dad’s a a good asset because his dad puts a fire cracking up his ass I’m the one to give the instructions so it’s actually good to see his dad there and I like that these guys are working together they understand what works for Daniel so so if it works you know keep rolling with it when it comes to like the sparring between the two it was always something that was like rumored for for however many years is that much that do you think you could take into into this fight is do you think it’s just a good narrative to sell a great narrative but in reality you know I spot with the guys that i’ i’ box afterwards and these guys inspiring got the best with me but boxing and and inspiring are two completely different things and it’s about mindset inspiring you you’re willing to gamble you’re willing to to test little things out you want to see what will work won’t work so you’re going to get caught when you usually get caught you’re not as an alert you just do certain different things I take nothing from the sparing as I said um I think you know the amount of sparring partners I’ve I’ve I’ve been a sparring partner for and then fought them as a professional fighter and knock them out you know it’s two different stories so to me don’t take too much from it when you look at the overall card there you see fights like a catch a Josh warington Denny versus shiras who got a great win on the weekend and and he’s got a massive fight now against ham shz and also Liam Smith against Josh Kelly um not not taking away braty Hutchinson as well and Chamberlin Padley so a real real good card that that fans can get in stuck into I think this card holds up is probably one of the best cards we’ve we’ve seen for quite a long time of course of course I love the the the the story of of of Tyler Denny I love the story uh because you know you see this guy drags the riches overnight and I just love the fact I’ve seen Fighters walk away on the on the on the green side you know of us sport getting paid well uh making making money handsomely so so I like that and he’s winning you know he’s he’s getting a he’s getting a second kick in his life so to me I like that just before I do Let You Go Johnny um I did want to ask you about comments that I the first few comments that Tyson Fury has made since his defeat to Alexander Rusk um he talked about being too easy in there and it was like fighting a local amateur boxer um I suppose hearing them comments as the F the way the fight would go um what your what would your reaction be to to to what fuy said you know what it you’re say a lot of things in sport you we got to you guys have got to get your clickbait you’ve got to get what you need I’m just saying so so in regards to Fury if that’s what he’s going to tell you that’s what he’s going to tell you but again there was a stage of the fight where where Fury was hitting him uh and and hurting him and had him in trouble um um if that’s the case he said he took it too easy and and uh you know it was easy thought I did I made a mistake you know what he’s having to learn a lesson at the highest price uh if that is true then you’d expect him to from round four to round eight you know what we saw him we did expect Tyson that Tyson fi to turn up you know full steam ahead um Titan fur is a good re for the great game you know and so when you say now you know the corner said I was doing well he’s the boss there he knows what’s what he knows better more than everybody that’s working with him there uh so he knows how well he was doing how well he wasn’t doing so so it’s not you know if he wants to plast the blame to say that man gave me wrong with information that’s what he’s telling you look um uh that’s what he’s got to get the job done Tyson Fury has the ability and we saw it uh it’s a case about the desire it’s it’s a case about cleaning up in house making sure you have the right people in your ear uh to give you the best advice for the best results absolutely Johnny as always thank you for taking time speak to me always a pleasure to catch up with you and yeah enjoyed this press conference today cuz it might be a
