We bought a new house with a nice but small artificial putting green in the backyard. I’m looking to buy a mat to practice chipping as well at greater lengths up to 40 feet or so.
I’d also like to be able to use the mat with a net to dial in my wedge distances with the assistance of my FlightScope Mevo Plus.
My biggest concern is that a mat won’t provide a realistic surface to grass, the bounce on the wedges won’t work the same, and I will have a hard time being able to tell if I caught the ball cleanly as intended.
With the bigger swings into the net I expect to be able to look at the output numbers from the Mevo to differentiate between a clean strike and one hit “fat” but not sure if that will apply to the shorter chips as well. This one looks interesting…
If anyone has recommendations on a good mat that could work for this use, please advise! Thanks in advance.
