what’s going on everybody welcome back to another matchar video we’ve got something very very special coming your way obviously you guys have been knowing about the good good Midwest open that we are hosting out here at French Lick the beautiful Pete die course which we’ve played here before and I have a very very special guest you saw the thumbnail here he is right here coming here Mr Jack sock [Music] [Applause] oh that is outrageous how on Earth has he made that Bethany MX sanss and Jack sock also from the US go home with Olympic gold absolutely beautiful thanks for coming on the channel man thanks for being my partner as well I mean that it’s just so phenomenal to have you he’s played with us before on the good good Channel and he was an absolute Dart prising the heck out of me we were doing like a knockout and he had like four or five birdies I didn’t know this guy had it in him I had no idea you had it in you I mean hope I can carry that over to this I feel like um hopefully that wasn’t a uh once in a lifetime round for me so but I feel good we both hit the ball far we both have pretty good short games um so if I think we get drivers in play be dangerous do I think it’s going to be dangerous and again if you guys don’t know who Jack sock is this guy’s a legend in tennis he showed me a couple of Tricks um he is actually an Olympic gold medalist so he won in 2016 in mixed doubles who were you playing with Bethany madx SS okay and he actually won a gold medal so that’s hanging up in his room he gets to look at it every day and remind himself of how great he is and he also won third he got a bronze medal as well following in men’s doubles as well yeah so you got a couple Metals in your house just absolutely clanking around yeah they’re they’re they’re tucked away uh they don’t come out they don’t come out often those will be uh those will be gems for the rest of my life for sure that’s awesome it was a 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics and I remember watching that I mean absolutely phenomenal got a great partner hopefully we can hit some balls in the Fairway we got Kade filming I really appreciate you coming out and filming this let’s just get right after let have some fun absolutely got to keep the ball I mean this is the first hole everybody so narrow we got uh 12 Ys to work with on The Fairway plus a little wind trying to go right here Jack something in play just something in play could be wet but oh my gosh wait it was I saw no splash if that’s over I don’t know what’s going on all right jack don’t do that dude why was I so nervous hitting that t- shot there’s no it’s not even the time yet it’s not even my time yet oh no gosh that like hurt my back yikes okay it is dry it is dry holy cow that is a that’s a tough start it’s a tough start start a tough start it looks like a birdie though I feel like yeah that’s going to wrap it up hope you guys enjoyed freck are we doing cuz that second one I actually hit pretty decent it just turned left and it was like 20 yard short of getting over the water at the end of the day we can just put a ball in Fairway we it’s a practice round so we can we can really do whatever we want there’s no need to like make it like super aggressive and super tense on ourselves we just need to Tred our best to like remember that we’re here to just find what the greens look like okay well good news is is practice round so we’re just going to go somewhere over here well we’ll be tomorrow for sure right 35 yeah I think it’ll literally spin all the way off I’m going to try and go a little right a little long perfect hit it pretty good distance is perfect okay yep yep yep hey first toll first tole right you never want to play the first hole that well right right get down kill it wind this drive by Jack beautiful drive but honestly kind of a really tough chip I’m literally Landing it on the rough here yeah honestly I think yeah I think we honestly need to land it uh somewhere in here and just hope it hope it jumps up a little bit I have a 62 so I can kind of fly it up a little bit for us but oh my God that was I almost killed K Kate literally almost died out here asking him to help me film him quite literally the worst shot I’ve ever had in my life are you sure about that come on cut your two shot was worse shut up please sit please sit please sit please yeah it’s just off the grain but barely I would think you’d put it you can chip it though I’m uh actually very happy with that that could have especially after Matt’s first one was uh was not his best I think any putt of this would have been pretty good trying to air on being short did that just like hop forward pretty yeah I’m actually very happy with that please please go right please go right oh my gosh it and then tomorrow they’ll make it a little more accessible at least I hope so I mean I know the pins aren’t going to be in the same place so we have that to look forward to like they’re not going to be in the same place correct Midwest open te’s right there I’m so confused where we should be playing I think I might be able to get this out cuz we can play it on a you yeah like a decent you had this one pretty decent then I can try to get three-wood out of there and get it up around there if not then can always just hit iron out to the right no that’s that’s absolutely what we need this is the hole where it does this you literally have almost like three carts of length for Fairway to hit it on a decent level here and then back behind is the Fescue and then obviously if you go left I don’t even know what you have over there even Landing in the fairways like hilly as they are doesn’t like it could just easily not end up in the Fairway or be on slope or on a like I’m honestly trying to aim I wouldn’t even mind going like at that cart path path just a little all right Matt you’re done you’re done actually it’s going to be really good finally hit something good man that was that was I was like trying to right W yes thing jump Skyrocket out of that line I set it up too much I think well yeah you started out on the line of the Fescue but it was drawing like perfectly in there you did not hit that great we dial that in we hit that great we’re going to be hitting 140 right which out here with these greens is going to be the 50 60 yard shots out here with some of these pins are virtually impossible so I actually don’t mind being I agree the wind is starting to pick up a lot though yeah it’s going to be a good tester 142 45 plane 50 that accurate yeah that hill is pretty big all right well I’m going trust pitching wedge Jack we’ll see what that does sit maybe be perfect oh I started that at those people I feel like look at the wind take the ball jeez very happy with my shot very happy with Jack so Jack sock um we both hit the green we were had no idea what we were looking at up here and as you can see the pin is got to be the Sunday pin this looks like the hardest pin on this green so we got another birdie putt let’s try and drain it every pin so far has been a uh Sunday pin at the Masters oh my hammer to jeez Almighty holy cow again this is where I got to be good I just saw a line got a read great speed you hit it nice and slow and soft honestly I don’t want to go long no I know I I really didn’t think I hit mine that hard to be honest I don’t know how that went we’re moving slow slow but steady it’s going to win the race out here I’m really hoping we’re really hoping the pins are going to be different which I know they’re going to be different and uh we can uh have some more attackable shots into the green getable hole 397 so a couple of drivers honestly just going up that last bunker in the middle there like you see this like little small Trio bunkers that last one just go right at that if it goes straight you should end up in the Fairway if it goes a little left you’ll still end up in the Fairway oh my gosh dude feel like I aimed up right you just aimed up straight we’ll get it we’ll click it oh I tried to hit a draw too that’s great yikes yikes okay I got I got this looks like the uh from up here like the Ozark course doesn’t it that’s what I was telling him jack him I didn’t think this was Indiana I’m used to Indiana beans I didn’t know Indiana looked like this I don’t when I lived in Indiana it did not look like this so like R when you get from Illinois to Indiana it’s just like it’s just not it’s nothing and then you came out here I was like holy cow this is literally what this is literally what Cedar Cedar Lodge looks like that’s nice all right well hey that’s pretty sick it’s real nice we’re in an attack position here we’re here to attack attack attack that’s what we’re doing so the shock attack shock attack I mean we got 60 yard I think little back stop even just trying to get this to sit and taping birdie oh yeah you see me hesitate a little bit kick left it’s going to be oh [ __ ] that’s not bad that’s a decent birdie look it be better but feel like I know I feel like being on the green with birdie looks with these pins today is pretty pretty happy with like make an eagle out here literally go that hot forward oh my go darn it beautiful sorry Pary it’s all right ham an egg baby you’re drive my shot why so hard why do I feel like you’re not hitting it that hard I didn’t feel like I hit it that hard such a great bu center of the cup thank you no chance of missing now I just like I’m like I’m overthinking the greens that’s all right speed’s off it’ll be different again it will be different even mad about it cuz I hit it really good and it was on a great line it seems like a yard left of where it splashed in the bunker would probably be 40 yards down the Fairway and perfect oh my low bleeder that is just so good I mean when you look the amount of things that my ball could hit off on the right and just jumped left it landed in the only thing flat and bunker literally like probably one one of cage Sideburn bunkers I’m going to shave these things right when I get back this thing is like three yards wide if I land right here we are like we’re hitting it hitting a normal iron into is this part five or part four part five so we got a chance almost makes it more frustrating take get a club lank back what can I get out of there I know I I’m trying to go like a club link that way so that we so that we’re like just like a driver Garrett would probably try to ramp a three-wood off the hill yeah he would little top spinner yeah I got that out pretty easy I think you get a nine on it is it actually better to the club L go to the right to avoid this first leg Mound and go up that little Gap wait watch that Jack that is now in the rough I hit that this the right side of the come on I got pitching wedge 157 trying to ride this wind and get us a birdie putt turn ground draw y ground draw be perfect perfect ground draw yes sit not off the green not off the green map sit you know if I turn that a little more I had my vision in my head I turn it a little more I think we’re got freaking 6ot putt there oh where the draw kick up there yeah okay had the right distance I thought I was going to draw a little bit off of this I don’t hit it good good distance control that’s all that’s all we can ask for I know two great shots I think green regulation are also pretty good out here and then it’s all about who makes putts after that come on baby you know what that’s actually true we’re you were you were just short right I was just short right here settle right there it right here right here please turn right ball right pot thanks just like that see that’s an easy bar par look at that don’t mind that pin right there either so there’s a little bit more forgiving some more forgiving uh pin locations out here on the back N I don’t know what that’s about but okay moving on to part three hold on one time says 183 just told them to go in the go in the middle of the green on this one they should be completely fine actually you guys can go ahead and finish out they probably won’t even won’t even bother us hey we’re three parts in a row I feel phenomenal I really I truly don’t think that that’s that’s that bad I really don’t all right 183 little seven iron except when one of them on the green up there is like L four feet away from the hole I know right that’s not fun to see trying to draw that too I’m trying like not to think about it I’m trying to get up there and just hit a ball and yep get back there yes come on come on that’s a good pick me green that’s a green that’s a green and rag is that like second green and rag damn great shot why can’t all the greens look like this h no it’s good de good good yeah yeah yeah you’re good they’ve been withholding that information 13 holes now dang nobody told me that we played the wrong te’s about the first seven holes first six holes we’re playing the wrong freaking te’s Jeff’s like uh dang that’s [Music] unfortunate you hit the ball one time did I also leave it short sure did we just now realized that there’s some white marks on where the holes will be in the pin locations for tomorrow this one is way back left so I think it’s actually much easier and I think the rest of the pins have been pretty easier so me and Jack will keep an eye out for that one it would have been great to know 13 holes ago but we’re chilling so good part there I don’t know how far anything is up there so just go straight you Shar Bobby can you toss me a ball yeah okay um this is holding number 14 hold number 14 it’s a beautiful par five and as you can see it looks we need a good one out of you by the way yeah we do need a good one out of me right now but it’s kind of like a weird Fairway like you can see it literally goes this way and then it goes that way so a little bit of a snake hole just trying to put one in play Sharpie can you please turn is that in the poop no it’s perfect that’s very it’s lot farther up there than you think yes yeah Sharpie Miss as well th this one’s very very like you can miss on the right where those guys are over there and then where you see the Fairway that’s about your Miss on the left that should be fine just barely in the rough no that’s in the Fairway Fairway it’s in the middle in the Fairway that’s what I said I took some off that and it’s still flying oh yeah landed top of the hill I actually think online with the the pin that’s might be actually in the hole for Albatross yeah that actually could have been pretty sweet um great chance to make birdie did not even realize um so I’m just going to try and ride this way hit another beautiful shot for us we’re one under on the back nine see if we can make a couple more birdies yeah oh my oh we’re back par five frenchlick uh we are round even par we think yeah the depending on what we would have done for the first but yeah we even par through 17 holes technically yep um I think I’m going to hit a an avid golfer absolutely love the sport uh obviously tennis was my thing for 13 14 years retired last year now playing professional pickle ball really enjoying uh that new chap for my life I mean it’s a great shot two great shots I mean M wasn’t great but it was like it was a great miss and we’re in a fine position to get up and down for another birdie and get that bogey back so I’m happy with that I really yeah little up the gut chip right here up and down for a little bird ski into this slope or something I thought you hammered that still only 190 out we’re back we’re so back we’re so oh
