Amy Yang second and she looked at this green like she was reading aart I think she quite fancies giv this a good little run certainly does oh what a moment to make it Amy Yang it’s Sunday at a Harley Country Club in the final round of a championship which dates back to 1955 this Ted Robinson design course opened in 1969 renovated by Reese Jones head of the PGA Championship in 1998 and today another champ will be crowned and a name added to that trophy Bianca pdan in her third second it’s just a moment ago oh hello nice way to do it wow bouier for a birdie at the Third yeah yeah this whole location today is just right for the taking this is a flat Li you’re going to get on this first hole good angle from the left left half this Fairway whole look out favorable wow what a bounce what a shot knows about survival and patience ha on you of Korea at the fourth this is Ali Ying for a birdie Alli trying to make a charge land it right on the front Karen I think that would be perfect got to fade how she was able to control that ball coming out of the rough that was very impressive hole is tilted towards the back of the green making it stay out there oh but Lauren got it right beautiful stroke what a dream start for Lauren hartl getting out of trouble when she needed to was going to say after we show that graphic that had to go in right I mean and that went in with some real Authority and confidence looks so solid it never came back so it’s going to be a bogey for Amy Yang and she will now have a one shot lead here is shibuno t-shot she’s got five hybrid win back into the player’s face oh she managed to thread it through there and it’s going to be rewarded Jin young Co for birdie it’s a slow putt up the hill should move a little from her left to right did she yeah watch out for Jin and Co today almost like a skin here getting a birdie on the eighth hole second birdie of the day and she looked at this green like she was reading aart I think she quite fancy giving this a good little run certainly does oh what a moment to make it Amy Yang to eight under par just when it looked like player might have a chance to catch or maybe even take the lead on her own yito has a good chance for birie Amy Yang knocks it in and once again the short game is just perfect this Rhythm Tom just absolutely textbook and Karen said she read it like a putt you’re that precise you’re that good work with the psychologist for a couple of years now and we really kind of all of his ideas and stuff already play into her mind what a response this is fantastic goal it’s very difficult to make yourself fly all the way to the flag I think you got to land it short with a chunky shot and get it to release pitched it right in the up slope what a shot how has she performed these first six holes Karen wow like a player who’s been in this position multiple times she’s worked a long time with Bill Nelson he said they are always working on her tendency to be perfect and gosh look at [Music] this back on the seventh hole this is the third shot here of Lauren hartage oh as Morgan was saying this is the correct bunker to be in if you got to be in one of these at the front of the green oh no she tries to take a cleansing breath and remind herself to accept whatever is happening in the moments and she’s got to accept this double Bogey and move on it’s been just a dreadful day for Lexi Thompson this is a t- shot at the ninth trying to go at the flag here aggressive line from Lexi she need look at her first birdie of the day 146 front 160 to the hole little bit uphill helping wind I mean could not have placed it out there any better Morgan and another Beauty right there to your point Karen she is right out there only two other players Gabby Lopez and Jennifer cupo also in a very similar spot opportunity for a rare Birdie on eight for Amy Yang at the 10th jiny young Co with her second saw how close that water Creeps in brilliant shot from the former number one in the world no this is this is tough regardless of what they do with the trees that is going to be two shots dropped heart is going to have a putt for bogy coming up and Amy Yang is going to have a putt for a five shot lead with 10 holes to play she moves another hole closer to that elusive first major bogey putt for Lauren hartage at eight all important confidence putt here for just short of the green and two wow double double it’s downhill though Left Right came out a little heavy but all over [Applause] spin she announced at the US Women’s Open this will be her last full season on the tour well after to just an absolute horror first eight holes it’s a game of two halves she’s made three birdies in the last four holes has a good chance for another one there this one has to have just a little bit of left movement in it as it gets to the hole Yeah that keeps that par five scoring average moment ago Lilia Vu for another birdie starting to feel like the must make sort of time hang on zilia Bo isn’t done yet and now go shibuno for birdie at [Music] [Applause] 14 she likes to hit a little bit of a draw but she’s has she overdone it here oh it was it was probably overdone but it worked out well that’s what happens ho is might tilted to the right so just inside the hole Yeah [Applause] it’s been an incredible performance by Amy Yang 15 yeah Lexi had an aggressive second shot in here it ran all the way through to here is it another birdie is it another birdie for Lexi this is just one of the strangest rounds I think I’ve ever seen look at that jiny youngko for birdie at 16 two back when the weekend began Morgan not enough of those [Applause] a little bit of a back stop behind this hole but giny young doesn’t need it [Applause] m got to go in doesn’t it yes one more Roar with Lexi back on 15 did take a significant amount of time is this right it’s just oh look at this it could be perf amazing yeah I mean that was a foot away from kicking down into the water it CS the other way and almost goes in this is right this is right careful oh it’s not going to stay it’s going to go isn’t it it is in the water it is in the water wow okay but it is a thre shot lead heading to 18 not particularly scary from here she’s giving it a good run here isn’t she yes what a moment for Harless how important could that be for the remainder of her season Yeah Lil is back and it’s great to see her healthy again with a big summer [Applause] ahead she stood the test of time Amy Yang wins the KPMG women’s PGA Championship and at long last has her major and Amy is loved not just by fellow Koreans but loved and respected by everyone on tour they know what she’s been through and they know what this means to her Amy Yang wins the KPMG women’s PGA Championship at sahali
