One week after a thrilling U.S. Open, the PGA TOUR heads to Connecticut for the Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands. This is the final Signature Event of the 2024 PGA TOUR regular season. Keegan Bradley returns this week to defend his title after setting the tournament scoring record of 23-under par last year. He’s claimed two runner-up finishes this season at the Sony Open in Hawaii and Charles Schwab Challenge three weeks ago. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler will also be in action and looks to bounce back from his T41 finish at the U.S. Open last week. From the final round of the Memorial Tournament presented by Workday and into the U.S. Open was Scheffler’s first time shooting five straight over-par rounds. Scheffler will look to claim another victory this week, as he has already won five times this season and finished T4 here at the Travelers last year. PGA Championship winner Xander Schauffele will also tee it up in Connecticut this week. The World No. 2 has 11 top-10 finishes in 15 events this season, including a T7 at the U.S. Open last week. Others to look out for this week include Collin Morikawa, Tony Finau, Ludvig Åberg and Hideki Matsuyama.

six players from the international ranks representing five different nations have won here at The Travelers and Kim would be the first from South Korea to do it if he can line up more shots like that and speaking of young 22 years young as of yesterday Tom Kim he too shares the lead now at 13 under a game good birdie there at the top par three looking for his fourth Victory on the PGA tour at just 22 he’s a special young [Applause] man one of the straightest drivers on the tour well that’s the first there it is a moving drone with a tracer never been done before on TV and that just splits the Fairway this is hybrid 17° worth of a hybrid CH down on it’s actually fighting the wind nicely oh good bounce too getting better all the [Applause] time Tom Kim should have learned from that part from marawa he has been one better on the par five so far this week hits the coin doesn’t help the uh the issue so after aogi at four birdie at five and a birdie here at six more than right at the ship interestingly at the PGA he put a golf ball in the in play that spins less beautifully played from Tom Kim lovely sound wasn’t it very [Music] clean very good student indeed wouldn’t even have been finished in college if 22 years of age he probably still be in his junior year looking for his fourth win on touring really hard on simplifying his setup getting a little more efficient yeah you’re right Trevor he got the point for the greeny there a little inside marau pin high ball always wins bigger urgency about time and sunset coming up but he is playing with emergency to be in the lead when the sun does go down twos will help I think moves before he takes it back there no w wagle anxious down the right it’s safe no problem at all yeah that was close would have been holding his breath while that was in the air they have become fast friends now he’s a very likable lad he’s going to like that shot comfortably on the par five and two this one will have some speed to it going to go left and then straighten itself out a little bit around the hole outstanding speed Frank he’s done well with the speed of these greens out there R that’ss normally ferociously fast good job on the adjustment all around back to get to 17 under there is a down slope just short of the green that may help him this is set at the very left side of the green little bit of a double [Applause] cross Frankie Frankie get this one past the hole might make you a little cranky too well done nice judge that Skip and spin perfectly raised the top bar to 18 [Applause] under from one 22y old to another well that was certainly a quick grap of the T you got to love that and not a lot of roll down there Dy oh it’s going to be a few days before this Fairway rolls oh it stayed on top I didn’t like it but it’s worked out just fine that’s a birdie pot exactly oh that would have looked good Trev for a long way wouldn’t it was tracking [Music] he challenging the bunker and he’s in it be the [Applause] number didn’t get it that’s the area Cameron young had to get up and down to shoot 59 earlier today unfortunately going run it out that’s a wonderful shot sure is that was beautiful technique a little lower flatted draw shape to it tomorrow’s going to be a great day of golf he’s in with a par he’s thankful to be in [Applause] easy they congratulate one another and one replies it’s always great to be out with you it seemed like you had to uh jump right back into it after the rain delay there wasn’t a lot of room to sort of just par your way around how how challenging was it to get back into your Rhythm you know actually the wind kind of died down after the after the delay so it played obviously the greens were really soft and Fs were soft and there’s no wind so obviously there were a lot of birdies out there I’m sure a lot of guys did I really look at lead Awards but um when you get soft conditions out there it’s definitely getable and I feel like I executed well enough to have a good round did you feel pressure that you had to keep it sort of going down because everybody was making a lot of birdies not at all cool and with the leaderboard obviously you’re you’re on top of the leaderboard that’s where you want to be but how challenging do you anticipate tomorrow is going to be knowing that there are a lot of guys who’ve had success everything is so stacked up course has been yielding low scores how harder will it be to win tomorrow I mean I feel like out here there’s no it’s all about you know just execution you know I’m going to go out tomorrow with the same game plan and try to do the things that I’ve been doing and if it’s good enough it’s great but if you know someone someone’s better than that and I can’t do anything about it so just kind of going into that expectation of um you know there’s just it’s a stack leader board you know out here five six shot lead is not safe at all so I got to go out tomorrow and with the same game plan execute I know it sounds like you’re getting ready to head over the range it’s almost dark what are you going to work on uh just the things I need to kind of keep everything in check um obviously that delay and everything just make sure everything’s moving well cool thanks for watching the PJ Tour on YouTube for more videos click here to subscribe click here
