Scottie Scheffler wins in a playoff | Round 4 highlights | Travelers | 2024

In the final round of the 2024 Travelers Championship, Scottie Scheffler carded a 5-under 65 to finish at 22-under for the tournament before defeating Tom Kim in a one-hole playoff for his sixth win of the season and his 12th victory of his PGA TOUR career.

One week after a thrilling U.S. Open, the PGA TOUR heads to Connecticut for the Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands. This is the final Signature Event of the 2024 PGA TOUR regular season. Keegan Bradley returns this week to defend his title after setting the tournament scoring record of 23-under par last year. He’s claimed two runner-up finishes this season at the Sony Open in Hawaii and Charles Schwab Challenge three weeks ago. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler will also be in action and looks to bounce back from his T41 finish at the U.S. Open last week. From the final round of the Memorial Tournament presented by Workday and into the U.S. Open was Scheffler’s first time shooting five straight over-par rounds. Scheffler will look to claim another victory this week, as he has already won five times this season and finished T4 here at the Travelers last year. PGA Championship winner Xander Schauffele will also tee it up in Connecticut this week. The World No. 2 has 11 top-10 finishes in 15 events this season, including a T7 at the U.S. Open last week. Others to look out for this week include Collin Morikawa, Tony Finau, Ludvig Åberg and Hideki Matsuyama.

kept this right which is the right Miss okay kind of a high lob you think medium trajectory [Applause] went came out tumbling a little bit but pretty darn good out of that [Applause] lie okay that maybe gets him started right there what’s up brother this one going a [Music] little gets a piece that’s fine it’s not turning back still very good but half the distance of Tom km yep world’s number one is now sitting in the top spot alongside Tom Kim at 19 under par look out for Scotty little bit of a fairway finder but he’s got an extra gear we know how long he can hit it and how straight he can get [Applause] it lower lower flight that’s fine he stuffed it here on Thursday in the opening round with three-wood same Club I think he likes this all Dy he played Four under look at [Applause] that back to 13 quickly in for his four and Tony in trouble at 16 so momentarily they are tied so this is a shot he doesn’t feel all that comfortable with that was Mega low and got a big amount of roll too get away with it wow that’s a long way down there that’s down there where Patrick kley was down over about 340 or so we’ll see flag laying pretty limp but you can feel it up here with spin great shot from Scotty shop inside 4 feet to go 21 under I think he’s trying to be less perfect get good putts but they don’t have to be perfect to go in it was Rory that suggested he go to this pter he might be ruining that advice got to give Phil Kenyan a shout out he has done some brilliant work with Scotty nearly had an ace here earlier by Ricky Fowler yeah he hit it to 10 [Music] Ines will well well done gap wedge 128 front 147 [Applause] [Music] total uhoh okay there’s a little room there [Applause] yeah now a birdie chance for Scotty at the 18 the moment ago to take down the title oh again I mean the last three putts he hit on the last three holes were within an inch of going in Dead [Applause] online it’s turning boy that was close Tom Kim will have a chance to send this back to 18 [Applause] T trekking right in there see here it starts to work towards and then runs out of speed right at the end hit a lot of good putts on this second side that didn’t go in Bo he had the arm extended ready to raise it he knows it he knew it all the way I’ve seen it before out of him he’s not afraid of the [Applause] [Music] moment he likes this one [Applause] too but with the three-wood he’s going to be hitting first second Shot 14 t- shot of 15 t- shot of 16 second shot 17 the like to get it closer than 18 the first go round is that any good hit right next to the hole for win number [Music] six good enough Scotty sheffler comes out of the chaos in Connecticut with another tournament title ladies and gentlemen how a hand and with a winning score of 22 under 258 his six PGA Tour winning the eer the 2024 Travelers championship winner Scotty shler Ladi con Amanda all yours and from Bennett sheffler more importantly Scotty you were the first player since Arnold Palmer in 1962 to win six times before the month of July we talked about earlier this week since 7 years old this is all you wanted to do what’s it like to be now alongside the greates of this game uh yeah it’s pretty special you know it’s uh it’s been a great season you know I’ve been fortunate to uh to Come Away with some wins and it’s been uh it’s been a lot of fun you know Tom Tom played his hard out today you know he’s a great player great Champion it was uh it was fun battling with him today you lead the PGA Tour and bounceback percentage and I think everyone mentally had to bounce back after what happened on that 702 hole take me through what was going on with your heart rate and your mind and how you were able to settle yourself settle yourself back in yeah I think fortunately you know for Tom and me we were both out there you know you know we’re great friends and so we were able to kind of sit there and kind of relax each other before um cuz you don’t really know what’s going on you don’t really understand the situation you don’t really you know there’s people running around everywhere and you don’t really know what’s going to happen so it’s a bit confusing um you know fortunately the police did a great job you know getting everything in order very quickly I don’t know how quick it was but it seemed really fast to us so we’re very thankful for them and um yeah they did an incredible job and of course it wasn’t that long ago we were interviewing you with your first win with your son Bennett and your wife Meredith back here I know you and the burns you guys were sharing a house all week what has it been like to get adjusted to being on Daddy duty at night and coming out here being the number one golfer in the world during the day yeah I would say the afternoons when we get home look a little bit different there’s much less uh sitting around watching TV it’s uh sitting around trying to figure out what’s going on with our little ones but it’s been a ton of fun you know uh I’m fortunate to be surrounded with great friends out here and it’s uh it’s awesome you got this baby bounced down go celebrate with your family Scotty thanks for watching the
