The United States Men’s Olympic Golf team has been finalized. Scottie Scheffler (World #1, 2022 & 2024 Master Champion), Xander Schauffle (World #3, 2020 Olympic Gold Medalist, 2024 PGA Championship), Wyndham Clark (World #5, 2023 US Open Champion), and Collin Morikawa (World #7, 2020 PGA Championship & 2021 Open Championship) will all represent Team USA in Paris. Schauffele talked about defending his Olympic Gold.
hi everybody Chris back with you talking and golf the United States men’s team is set for the 2024 Paris Olympics and features four of the top seven players in the world number one ranked Scotty Sheffer the defending Masters champion is headed to the Olympics as his number three ranked Xander shley who won the 2024 PGA Championship and his defending gold medalist 2023 US Open Champion Winden Park the number five ranked player is going as his number seven ranked Colin morawa who won the PGA Championship in 2012 and the Open Championship in 2021 shle talked about going to Paris to defend his gold medal super special uh it’s always an honor to to represent your country in in any you know given given tournament or event so um it was it was a really cool thing I was able to share with my family after winning the gold medal and you know qualifying was my first goal this year it’s it’s a very hard team to qualify for as you guys have seen um on this us side and uh you know it was a really big goal of mine to to get back and um you know really looking forward to competing again the 2024 Paris Olympic men’s golf tournament takes place Thursday August 1st through Sunday August 4th
