on this channel we talk a lot about getting the correct golf clubs but getting the correct golf ball is even more important for me this year in 2024 and Taylor Made claimed to have brought out the everyday golfers golf ball that’s what it says on the website so I thought we had to put them to the test out here early doors at woolly Park so this is a golf ball a two-piece construction it is also an ionac cover so who is it for is it for somebody with higher clubs is it someone for lower clubp that’s what we’re going to see straight away there exactly what you would expect from an Iona cover even nice high launch I believe if Bobby zoomed in on that that has just hit the stake in the middle of the Fairway so I don’t know where that’s gone it might now be a damaged tailor May golf ball but what golf ball is this and how much is it going to cost you right we have had a little bit of rain so as the green staff take care of that we’re going to be talking about this golf ball so we have the speed soft golf ball guys coming in between 24 to 26b but it’s the paint workor that Taylor Made A claiming is why it’s for the everyday golfer as we know it is a two-piece ball it is an ion cover so straight away a lot of people instantly think that this should be for the higher handicapp because what it’s going to do is it’s going to generate faster ball speeds off your driver off your longer stuff but then it’s also going to give you the launch with that and into the green it’s also going to give you a little bit more launch it does claim as pretty much all golf balls do to be the longest off the tea and the softest feeling golf ball ever around the edge of the green whether that is the case obviously we will know on this hole cuz we will get to the green but again with a driving IR here is it going to obviously change the ball fight all together is it going to send it obviously into orbit and then we’ll talk about the speed soft ink on there again they’ve taken this paint technology from the pixel golf ball straight away there that launched reasonable trajectory again the Fairway is a little bit lower than we are here so that’s had a nice penetrating ball flight again it didn’t feel too hard off the face so instantly people think when you go to a two-piece golf ball you go to a cheaper golf ball which is probably half the price of the premium golf balls that they’re going to feel extremely hard they’re going to sound clicky but that is pretty good off a 4 IR on the first hole off a three IR driving IR here but what’s it going to be like with your scoring IR cuz that’s where we want to see for you is it going to help you get that Landing angle to hit a few more greens which will help you lower your scores because after all that’s what we want to do in 2024 so the new power core has put me in a good position here so I haven’t had to hit driver so for me interesting enough there ball speed is going to be a little bit up from this cover so if I can get a little bit more speed and still get the control into the greens then it could be a golf ball again for even your lower handicap golfer so you could be a a single figure golfer and you speed might be going a little bit you might need that little bit more distance you might need that help with that launch and that’s why you might go for it oh it’s perfect for somebody like mid- handicap Dave hasn’t been on the channel for a while cuz it seems to just be taking it easy going to the Caravan every weekend however I know you’re watching Dave so what we want to see that it’s perfect for him it’s perfect for the low handicapper but it also could be great for your 28 handicapper who doesn’t have much control on the golf ball potentially also loses a few again at this price do you mind losing golf balls at this price probably not so much compared to if he was losing Prov v1s or tp5 or any kind of golf balls but what they’ve done for me is obviously they have put on now this new ink so it’s help it’s to help even give you a little bit more control a little bit more feedback on what your ball is doing a little bit more Visual and from there just like they did with the pics just like they have with the tour response giving you something to help you with your game so you’re not just buying a golf ball that is just a white golf ball with a little alignment Aid on the side if you want to use it this is going to help you get feedback but obviously now what Taylor Made have done which no other brand has done to my knowledge comment below if there is another golf ball out there but they have brought it to the more affordable range so they haven’t gone for the premium golf ball they have gone for a little bit of a cheaper golf ball like I said between 24 and 26 it does State on the website and for me there that’s obviously a reasonably priced golf ball which is exactly what we want but all the different lines on there they can help you obviously square up the CL face like the balls finish just like it has here I’ve got that one of the strips of ink there that could be good for me just trying to get my clace Square to my target so all little things that obviously tailor made have taken into account you can use it off the te to help you square up or line up and hopefully play a little bit better they’re just starting left of the flag fading back nicely so that should catch just to the left of the flag over the new bunker that we will show you here at woolly park on the second hole some fantastic Renovations over the winter but that golf ball is ticking a lot of boxes certainly launched a little bit higher but that’s exactly what we’d expect I don’t mind that ball flight we’ve got a par three to come next can we control that ball flight if we was trying to play down and maybe you’re a member at Links golf course so obviously down here we’re just off the edge of the green but I am going to obviously line this up so you’re going to start to see here again on the side of the golf ball a nice big thicker alignment a so if you was just using the alignment a that is on the golf ball again nice and thick for feedback but here we have obviously the cone again these do come in multiple colors so if you’re not a white and black fan if you’re not a man city fan or a Sheffield Wednesday fan around here then or hooders field fan actually around here then maybe you go for a different color James will probably go for the red and black I would also probably go for the red and black for Arsenal so you can choose from different colors but different colors can suit you better as well so it’s knowing obviously you might actually take a few out on the putting green if your Pro Shop has something say can I test something before I buy go on to the putting green your eye might actually suit one of the colors better and that’s where it’s going to start to make a difference for you you have to get it exactly right for you but you can certainly see there very much like the pcks there you can see the roll I was obviously a little bit dubious before starting this video that maybe you wouldn’t be able to see it maybe there was that much ink on this golf ball I wouldn’t be able to see if it was rolling end over end but there very much able to see that a great bit of feedback there and so far so good but can you flight it down if you was playing lyx golf and you still wanted this golf ball for again for other occasions when it’s not so windy could you control it if you needed to so you can see here I’ve also got the red version here but Bobby has come in trumps again as he knows from working in the Pro Shop you can buy these individually so if you’re wanting to just test one certain color if you just wantan to get one golf ball go out on the golf course and give it a try hopefully it lasts longer than a couple of blows but obviously you can buy them individually now so would you buy them individually just to test them out I think that’s a good option again from tailor made trying to get you to test their golf balls but also not have to spend a fortune so again going down the affordability route we know obviously drivers this year have certainly come down a little bit in price because they have got to a point where golf still very expensive but it was getting maybe obviously quite expensive for a lot of the golfers or a high percentage of you so they have started to think about price which is obviously nice to see so let’s try and flight one in here so I’ve got an eight IR so I’ve got a mid it’s 150 yard to the flag let’s try and play a lower flighted one although that was a little bit clean we can flight that down and for me this is a big myth obviously behind the golf ball yes if we put a good swing on a golf ball on a golf club we should be able to get the flight and strike that we want but obviously to get your trajectory to change if we just change that setup a little bit get that ball position back and change how we are presenting that golf club we should be able to flight it down just because it’s an ionomic cover doesn’t mean it’s literally just going to go straight into the air off your Club face it all depends on your impact factors yes it might launch a little bit higher than a urethan cover but if we change your setup accordingly you should be able to adjust so this is where obviously it can suit all types of golfers this ball just doesn’t mean it’s for the higher handicapper because it’s cheaper it’s a two-piece and it’s got that ion cover and again there I would say that’s very much a mid trajectory there straight towards the flag so for me straight away I can play different flights I can get control on it it does feel soft so yes I believe it does feel soft and we’ve seen on the previous hole we certainly got the distance and the ball speed we’re expecting so guys if you’re looking for a new golf ball this year if you’re looking between that 20 and 30b range then this could be the perfect ball for you and don’t be put off just because it’s in irim covering a two-piece golf ball doesn’t mean it’s for the lower handicapper and doesn’t mean it’s just for the higher handicapper the one thing we didn’t talk about actually is obviously the distance control aspect of here changing a golf ball you could think that maybe it’s going to go especially with your mid are you going to lose that control are they going to go too far we can see here from both of those shots two totally different ball flights but distance control has been very good so don’t be put off that again you think yes it’s got a power core it could go a little bit further with the longer stuff I’ve been able to control and get the exact distance that I would from a yure theme ball with these golf balls into this green so again being able to get out and test them with those IRS to make sure you’re not going 40 yards long but even if you are you can then just change your Club accordingly but for me nice and consistent and that’s everything that we want
