tell me this will this season impact Rogers Legacy um I think it can only affect it positively uh when you look at the fact that um Aaron Rogers came here his his legacy is already cemented four-time um MVP Super Bowl champion um one of the best quarterbacks to ever do it and you know I think sometimes we forget history like we don’t talk about Brett farre as a jet we don’t talk about Joe Montana as a Kansas City chief because didn’t win so it it is not included in their legacy but if they able to do what Matthew Stafford did when he changed locations after being somewhere for a long time and having a certain label and win a championship then it only can Elevate him into the upper room when you think about you know guys that have won two titles and the fact if he’s able to win one for a team like the Jets I think it pushes him past you know right there with PT Manning and some of the other great I think he’s able to to uh skip a step if you win one with the Jets I think that’s almost like getting one and a half so I think he’s going to get a boost from that see everything you said is why I think this season his tenure with the Jets has a huge impact on his legacy because right now Aaron Rogers is on on the same list as guys like Nick FES and Joe flacko and when you think about the talent that Aaron Rogers has there’s no way he his name should be next to those no offense to those guys but let’s be serious right um Aaron Rogers coming to the Jets why is he even in Floren park because his old team was ready to get rid of him they were like okay this is this is enough now we we we have the young kid we’re ready to go on let let that’s that’s what it is Aaron talked about it Aaron said you know what my phone hasn’t been ringing yeah they I you know I don’t know maybe cell server I don’t know they they didn’t reach out to me he felt some type of way because the Packers were ready to move on so when we look at Aaron Rogers his tenure with the Jets can change everything yes he’s a future Hall of Famer no doubt but he’s still a guy if he only goes down with one Super Bowl we’re going to look at him like he was way too talented to only get one Super Bowl yeah like he underperformed to your point before I get to you Sam as far as the Packers look what Jordan loved it he had a heck of a season knocked off some folks in the playoffs and showed that he is the guy so there’s got to be even more of an edge Sam where are you on this in terms of Rogers Legacy yeah this season will absolutely impact Aaron Rogers Legacy and I think even more so from a current cultural perspective I just think about what Aaron Rogers did in Green Bay and all the pro bowls and all the MVPs and going to a Super Bowl and winning one Super Bowl which was positive but then you go to New York and you’re in a lot of ways like the guy you’re supposed to be the one to rejuvenate this whole team and the franchise and find a way to win with all the talent defensively all the talent on offense right young Talent then four plays in you get injured okay great Mulligan no big deal but if you come back again this year and you don’t do what you said you were going to do what you hoped you were going to do all of a sudden all the hype that was built up into a guy who could have been a two-time Super Bowl champion on two different teams it kind of dwindles down a little bit now to Bart’s point right he’s still four-time MVP he’s still one of the greatest ever do it Kmart I’m not going to say he’s on the same list as as as uh Nick FES right he’s more talented as a passer than Nick FES one of the most talented passers and quarterbacks ever played but people don’t just look at Talent they people also look at Super Bowl Champions champions and championships and I think it matters when you’re the missing link the missing piece and you don’t do it now if you do do it huge opportunity if you don’t do it it’s it it met it hinders his current cultural conversation of where he lines up in the alltime greates so can I just say AO how many Super Bowls does Nick Fes have but Nick has one but my point is not about just Super Bowls I also said it’s talent talent yeah getting the two much smaller yeah but but Super Bowls doesn’t really measure the greatness of as an individual player I mean because we we’ll put Dan Marino as one of the best quarterbacks of D he has no Super Bowls and he’s above that list as well I got to pause you right now Aaron Rogers is one of the most special talents right we were saying he’s better than a guy like a Tom Brady even a pton Manning and I get a team score talent wise absolutely right so you’d say he’s underperformed by just having one ring considering what his talent is those guys both went to different destinations they got a ring he had a year off they how solid is this team they put all the pieces around him so is he a first ballot Hall of Famer absolutely but to ao’s point in terms of the cultural conversation he’s not going to be up there as like one of the top guys with just one ring and failing at the stop but but I think he’ll be one of those second tiers I I no right now maybe with who he shouldn’t be a second he’s not supposed to be he’s there he’s there with Ben rothberger Eli Man but he’s so much better than them he’s so much more talented than them and you know I love Eli that’s my quarterback yes but I mean I mean I think I think he’s still there right there with John Elway even with one Super Bowl right it’s just one of those things it’s now that Patrick mahes is in and Tom I’m glad you said it because Patrick how long has Patrick been in the league I understand that but it’s not how you start it’s how you finished and we don’t know if this is going to be it for Patrick Patrick is there but he’s Patrick is right there in that that second tier Sam you have the final word here yeah you can’t you can’t just look at Super Bowls alone right I think about that’s it’s more than just Super Bowls right guys like Trent dord won a Super Bowl but you’re not going to say man he’s just as talented as Tom Brady your Aaron Rogers Aaron Rogers is supremely talented as a passer but another Super Bowl would cement his legacy get him with two guys like pton Manning now all of a sudden you have the MVPs you have the Super Bowls you’ve done it at different franchises cementing a legacy yeah it’s part of a different conversation all right I got to hit the top of the hour this cruel [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music]

  1. These arguments are so stupid. This is a team game. Why do we continue to use team success to measure individuals??

  2. I think Rodgers is in that 2nd tier of all time great QBs. I think MVPs and super bowls are equal to each other. Having MVPs but little post season success is something that needs to be looked at just like having super bowls but little regular season stats needs to be looked at. Which is why I think Roethlisberger and Rodgers are on the same level at the 2nd tier of all time elite QBs and Eli Manning isn’t. Rodgers being one of the most talented passers the league has ever seen and Roethlisberger being one of the toughest and most physically strongest QBs we’ve ever seen. To be one of the greatest QBs ever you don’t need to be “the more talented passers” you need super bowls and elite regular season stats.

  3. K martin is doing something right if yall still hating on her. She is right his legacy will take a hit. Rodgers is a great regular season performer. Just like Harden, come playoff time he does not get over the hump. All those MVPs and 1SB. If Rodgers was LBJ the NFL media would kill him if he made the NFC championship game 3 years in a row and did not make the super bowl

  4. That One Black Guy needs to STOP SMILING it’s irritating 😤😤😠😠😡😡 are you kidding me right now?? This is the best ESPN First Take can do?? Pathetic I’ll going to stop watching til 2024 NFL Season. BYE 👋🏾👋🏾✌🏾✌🏾 SEE YA LATER. 🙈🙈🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️

  5. It does not matter what he does with the Jets he’s already a 1st ballot what else anything else is jus icing

  6. Kimberly's so obsessed with the fact he only has 1 ring but won't mention none of those other QBs have 4 MVPs or will be 1st ballot HOF

  7. Okay but whats the point of 4MVPs if he only has one only one super bowl. I even forgot nick foles has the same amount of superbowls as Rodgers

  8. Kimberly Martin definitely is horrible after her ridiculous take before the AFC Championship 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

  9. Tom Brady is more talented than Aaron Rodgers and everyone else to ever play sports

  10. Dan Marino has 0 SBs. What's Kimberley's point exactly?! Are Nick Foles and Joe Flacco greater than Marino?!? C'mon now
