highlights here at sahal Country Club with the KPMG women’s PGA Championship on the par 5 11th this Chip Shot From the Rough yeah she took her vanage of her length she was 219 yd shot to there and really great touch over the ridge gets it close gives herself a birdie opportunity now Lexi on the par five 11th for birdie from 7′ 8 in what a way to get it going that would get her two five under now on the par 44 long birdie putt incoming a little surprised she didn’t hit it closer from only 133 yd in the Fairway but makes one from downtown yeah who needs to be close when you can putt like that now on the par 4 15th her approach and she really puts just so much spin on the golf ball the greens are going to be firming up it’s getting dry it’s beautiful it’s sunny out there she’s spins it and with that Ridge it just keeps spinning back she nearly dumped it it’s green are very tricky out here she would make par now Lexi on the par 3 17th for birdie now 162 yards hit it to 6′ 3 in and another really well judged Pace cut a little bit of an update here and Lexi Thompson our leader through 18 she ran into some trouble Amanda on the difficult par five seconds yeah she hit it into the trees right her second shot went left into the tree line she had a punch out on her third shot but you know she’s really good with this club in her hand uh excellent ball Striker we’ve seen some improvement with her wedge play and this is just a big surprise she hits it well to the left she has a ton of work left uh to try to save par especially with how undulated these greens are that big knob uh can really get the ball cooking once it gets over the hole and that’s exactly what happened right past that hole it picks up speed so this is to save Bogey and sh lip out oh hurt now let’s go over and check in with the smiling Cinderella hanako shibuno on the par 42 her approach uh she played so beautifully in the women’s US Open finishing second she’ like to improve that by one bringing home another major championship and uh gets that one close of course that first major came in 2019 at the AIG women’s open now again shibuno on the par 31 13th for par uh and it’s really difficult to putt through Shadows I can really mess with the player’s judge and that one she missed there’s plenty of shadows out here due to those tall trees now Patty tavat tanate on the par 518 another major winner at the Chevron championship and uh gets that one to fall that would get her to four under now Danielle Kang on the par 415th from off the green uh Danielle Kang’s touch around the greens is so beautiful if someone’s going to chip it in I put my money on Danielle Kang

  1. I'm continually inspired by the willingness of participants to listen and learn from one another. It's a model for constructive dialogue.😻

  2. What has NBC got against Hinako Shibuno? I couldn't see anything of her in the highlights, while during live coverage they showed plenty of Patty Tavatanakit yesterday, whom she was playing with, but I don't recall seeing any footage of Shibuno – she was runner-up in the US Open & is in the final pairing in R3. I think that's a lousy omission! Total shite, you guys at NBC!!!! The broadcast coverage needs to be much more objective & holistic. Hey, this tournament's not just about Lexi Thompson & Nelly Korda!!! I watch a lot of JLPGA golf & you see virtually every player during broadcast coverage of a round.
