thing moving keep it roll and we’ve got the US Open recap I want to start off with a quick question to you around the winner Bryson D Shambo but I asked Twitter this question did Bryson win it or did Rory lose it uh I dude I think Bryson won it Rory kind of came from behind and and definitely caught up but Bryson held his [ __ ] together um the amount of par putts and up and downs that he rolled in to to stay in the position that he was in under the pressure under the gun at a golf course that looked harder than anything I’ve seen in years I think he won it I think he deserves that title yeah yeah I fully agree people forget too though that Bryson had a three- shot lead going into Sunday right like Rory had to play his ass off and Rory didn’t play well in the beginning of the round either because my god did I watch it on a big screen from that cruise ship that I was on my God it was great I was the only one screaming in there I was screaming every time something happened and people are just like turning around like dude what are you screaming at like this is golf [ __ ] US Open I’m like you guys this is biners number two this one of my favorite golf courses of all time like this place deserves to have a great Sunday battle between two guys that one it had every storyline possible Bryson D Shambo Liv golfer you got Rory mroy the PGA Tour guy he used to be the figurehead of the entire battle between live and piff and live and so forth in the PGA Tour there’s so many three-letter acronyms I can’t keep up but Rory Rory played his absolute ass off and he got hot there on that stretch where he just started dropping everything and all of a sudden and I have to ask you um because I was live tweeting as this was all going down and as I saw it I’m I’m ruin for Bryson every time Bryson does something good well when Rory got up two shots all of a sudden I drop in little there was a little dig in there but it was uh you know Rory’s up two strokes on the back nine at the US Open the Liv stands must be [ __ ] themselves right now and fair enough just I mean one after the next after the next just started rolling in you’re a hater you hate Bryce and I’m like I want Bryson to win right now but this is crazy that Rory mroy is up two shots in this US Open and that he played so damn well but the follow-up question here that I have for you is did Rory like when we talk about whether or not did Rory blow it with the two Mist pots within four feet yeah I mean yeah like you know he gets this Acclaim as I don’t want to call it the second coming of Tiger but one of the most talented allaround players and I know sheffer’s hot right now and he’s kind of occupying that space but uh it gave me some tiger kind of Vibes watching Rory play catchup and get hot and it looked like he was going to continue and finish as such uh so it was kind of weird like it wasn’t something that tiger would have done he wouldn’t have blown it uh he would have kept the hammer down and and Rory sadly didn’t live up to that and I think that was part of his Devastation why he got the [ __ ] out of there so fast after the round you know that’s another thing that we need to talk about because you know Bryson Bryson had some good karma coming to him after losing the PGA Championship that the way that he did to Xander schafle he was the first guy to be over there shaking Xander’s hand um really congratulating him where then you got the opposite end of the spectrum and I mean each person’s different right but Rory just takes off wants no part of it clearly d i I have some thoughts on this and I I’m a big Bryson fan I actually got a text back from him uh that night so he was literally uh letting everybody in on the love but it’s like something clicked I don’t know if it was a publicist or something like that but there was a real concerted effort lately it almost looks like he went out of his way to be the Golden Boy and go overboard with the fan love you know what I mean does that make sense like he really because I think it he saw how powerful that can be to his likeability and changing kind of any past uh presumptions people had about him it’s like there’s like there’s a real try to do that is what I saw so I don’t know absolutely and I was just checking out too um as we were updated as we were coming on live uh around a letter that’s been that has gone out to the PJ tour players about the negotiations with piff so we’ll get into that towards the end of this episode so I just want to check that out really quick as well um and just let you guys know that that’s coming now also with the entire US Open recap we got to talk about the biggest storylines that came from this outside of Bryson and Rory and don’t get me wrong we’re going to get back into Bryson and Rory but we’re going to leave it for a minute okay we’re going to leave it for a sec we’re going to keep it moving keep it grooving and we’ve got who’s the biggest surprise this week from your perspective out of all the guys playing in the USU who is the biggest surprise uh well the amateur what’s his name uh one that played with tiger he was really impressive to watch especially uh first first time like the way that he kind of stuck it out and played that venue I mean he played pretty [ __ ] good he showed himself like a like a veteran Pro but the one that I was really rooting for that crept in there at the end I actually had a bed on him from the beginning of the week was phenow uh phenow made a little run there towards the end and I started looking at it going oh my God if he birdie 17 and 18 like we’re gonna holy [ __ ] like we’re right here and then you saw Rory fall and it got really exciting there for me for fale so I’m completely with you on all of those and those were not even the ones that I was thinking of so great input there and it was cool to see the amateurs were a tournament inside of a tournament that was really cool how that entire thing took place so um let’s take a look here we got a couple comments coming in as well but I want to get back to that in a second Brian here on Twitter said Pinehurst changes the greens to Bermuda did Rory underere the Grain on 18 I so Bermuda is one that it’s tough because there’s not there’s not a ton of grain in my opinion on Bermuda did you see the closeup that uh was circulating uh the camera closeup of Rory’s stroke on 18 I like he he thinned the [ __ ] out of it and uh God who wouldn’t under the pressure I don’t think he made a yippy stroke but you can see that he didn’t get all the energy that he was trying to get I don’t think into that putt I think that’s why it kind of fell off right on him there I I’m like a you thinned it you’re spot you’re you’re spot on and Rory’s actually talked about how that is his issue with his putting stroke is how sometimes when he goes to stroke the ball his putter comes up too much and you you you saw it perfectly because I saw the same thing and when I saw that I’m like oh that on a putt that is two balls outside the left and it’s a four-footer you got to put the right pace on and you got to put the right roll on it so that was not a gimme by any means whatsoever I felt like the one on it was 16 right the one that the other short one that he missed that I believe that was just outside of three feet like that one to me with the big lip out that wasn’t a bad stroke in my opinion the one on 18 looked nervy and by the way guys how many times have we been out there on the golf course and all of a sudden you miss one short Putt and all of a sudden it’s in your head and you can’t get it out and all of a sudden the next time you get that short putt you’re you’re weaken the knees over it and then you got the pressure of a US Open and you got a pot that is breaking two balls outside like that’s the thing that I just I can’t get over with people that are just like he choked like he he put himself in a position like he played so damn well and then honestly to me I just feel like those are two bad breaks those pots normally like on other greens do go in I mean Brian I get what you’re saying with the changes of the greens but Bermuda to me doesn’t have a whole lot of grain especially with how shaved down those greens were did you see how screwed he got though there was a two or a three shot it was almost a three shot swing into the par five uh where his ball he hadit a beautiful shot in there I think the pin was like middle left right above the crown on top the bunker there and I forget what hole it was coming down it was on the back nine I’m almost positive but he hit a wonderful shot literally pin high that then rolled back back and that’s fine a lot of guys had the same thing happen and their ball ended up in the little collection area down in that thin grass where they they had a shot his rolled down into this [ __ ] little dirt hole basically and he was forced to kind of punch it and hope and pray that it came out online it didn’t it came out pulled and if you saw it it ran up around the bunker and then came back down and then he hit a mediocre shot from there one if the ball stays on the green two if it rolls back anywhere where he can have a clean lie and put something on it there’s two shots right there like you know and we’re not even talking about the putts so yeah I don’t know you know there just a lot of that [ __ ] out there and that’s why I think it was fun and it’s a US Open think of the nerves that you got to have throughout the entire thing like you are grinding for your life out there and this is Pinehurst to me is the epitome of a US Open you cannot make mistakes um and I do want to get back to the topic of story lines but before I do or well or the biggest surprise of the week but anti Liv says his biggest surprise was corn fairy tour Frankie C Kapp kapan kapan Kapp I don’t know I’m terrible with pronuncia names so I apologize plus five days of drinking on a cruise is not helping me whatsoever I can barely even read that so Frankie cat doing really good Kon new upcoming Star to watch out for love that from you an iive um and Dylan VOD just added in that uh you know Rory almost topped it so yeah it it was mid equator I mean that caught the bottom edge of the blade and just didn’t have a pure role to it I mean even [ __ ] it still had a chance of going in like I get I do the same thing where I fall in love with the fact that you know this is an important putt any short putt for birdie I I do the same thing right I fall in love with the line I got to get it started online and then uh you know that last little detail leaves your mind you still got to you still got to hit it solid so my biggest surprise biggest surprise of the week was actually Patrick Klay because that was that’s been a player who all this year has just absolutely been terrible by all accounts like he has not played well I mean you look at all the data all the stats The Strokes gained everything he this is is one of his Worst Years on tour and for him to all of a sudden just kind of be there and to be in the lead at times like that was strange for me to look at that leaderboard and go [ __ ] man he was in my non-c contenders list just because of the way he was playing leading up to that I mean he didn’t play terrible at the memorial but nothing caught my eye that it’s like oh Patrick kentley’s back and they don’t like each other right there was beef there’s some Rory can’t live they don’t like each other something happened so what was that I don’t think we need oh that that was great because at the Ridder cup so Joey laava is um Patrick kentley’s caddy so Joe laava and Rory got into the whole hagate issue where when Patrick hentley made that huge putt on the last hole at the Ridder cup and everybody’s waving their hats and everything and all of a sudden and like Joey starts like getting into it and Rory tells him get like get out of here I’m trying to focus on my putt to tie and Joe laava is like I’m not moving and so they got into this whole ordeal that was great somebody actually sent me that on Twitter um during the final round was like is Joe laava on Patrick hanley’s bag right now I’m like yes so that was pretty cool um you know we’ve got another fan um jumping in here Austin Winnington who throws in I was surprised on the oberg Melt I thought he had it in him to be contending the final nine um he started to lose his game a little bit towards the back nine on Saturday I give a lot of guys go ahead sorry no you you’re fine go for it I was going to say I give a lot of guys like that that’s the first time seeing a venue like that uh a pass right like they got a lot of DMS about oh my God like there was no Elite golf play today they looked like survival and I was like yeah and uh if you’re rookie yeah dude You’ never seen anything like that before I don’t I mean I don’t know if I’d call it a meltdown I who God knows what I would do if I went out there like it was just so [ __ ] hard it just so hard like it really was um the other one and actually before I do that Brian off of Twitter says that can’t I can’t read what am I just that messed up Clark for Clark for Olympics yeah but no there’s like a something there am I losing my back Z3 e i is that a link maybe I don’t know don’t know I don’t know what it is okay we gotta sorry Brian um greater than okay so Klay greater than Clark for the Olympics um no I like actually [ __ ] that’s actually a better Point than what I was going to give it credit for um because Patrick Canley was clutch at the Ridder Cup right but cley’s been so bad and from to just show up we’re like Clark hasn’t been great in Majors but he also and ah man I like Windham Clark I don’t mind that particular pick but we’re going to get into that too with the whole Bryson thing um in a second the other one that was my biggest surprise out of Patrick kentley was get up and down from anywhere that’s that was the biggest surprise by far for me even more than Patrick Klay uh run PMC is chiming in what is the US team’s qualification process for the Olympics I’m going to throw this one over to you butsy what is the US team’s qualification process for the Olympics I don’t know to be honest I I think that some some of it’s got to be merit-based uh obviously not World Golf Ranking maybe that gets taken into account but we know that’s kind of [ __ ] out the window so I would just say like uh Trends right I mean how have they finished uh this year so far whether it was on I hope they take into account how people are playing on Liv I doubt that they will but I don’t know it’s got to be Merit based you know well they already four I mean it’s got to be better than Zach’s team I’ll tell you that so anyway he’s got he’s gotten enough [ __ ] for that I think he almost tried to fight somebody last time it was brought up on the course I don’t know let’s see it is Scotty sheffler Xander schafle wendam Clark and Colin morawa you know how does Windam get that spot well he’s in the top four in the official world golf rankings yeah I think they went off of the official world golf rankings just plain and simple that’s my that’s my opinion I mean and Austin winning that appropriate is confirming that that it’s owgr for the Olympics now one of the questions that got asked especially around the Olympics and the selection and everything and it was on The Dan Patrick Show this morning is um we’re about to enter into this merger why are we not seeing some movement when it comes to like this BS because don’t you think Bryon D Shambo should be in the US Olympics and on this team yeah yes uh I would say so Who’s hotter right now right like who’s performed better in the last two majors like what are you talking about yeah 20 years ago he’s on the team no question now there’s a lot of politics so totally agree totally agree Dylan VRE also says he thinks it’s the owgr it is by the way so that is the criteria that’s been the criteria and the one thing that I think new golfers like when I say new golfers like golfers in their 20s and maybe in their late teens I would say that golfers don’t realize because of live in a lot of ways like that golf was wasn’t always cool and there’s a lot of guys that are very stuck in their ways that make these decisions some very white-haired guys sitting in back offices old heads I mean now we’re kind of moving forward where golf is cool and you have people involved you’ve got live golf I mean there’s some things around it that things are progressing and changing but for a lot of people they don’t realize what’s that you think you think they consult tiger on that hey and he you know he says something like no not gonna be a [ __ ] live guy sorry I don’t know I mean he can’t just not one guy I don’t know yeah it’s kind of BS that Bryson’s not in there I mean I’m going to go on a rant here in a minute about Bryson I’m sure you feel in a lot of ways the same way um about Bryson but is well actually’s let’s get into it around the US Open recap because is Bryson the most entertaining golfer in golf today in the world yeah yeah I say yeah he’s checking off all the boxes hitting every demographic uh he focuses on really hard on making content I mean there was kids out there right you heard them in the grand stands and in the the crowd that were asking for autographs or he’d walk by and they’re like I love your content like you I love your like we’re saying we love their content like when we were kids we weren’t saying that [ __ ] so people are again that’s there that’s just as much credibility now as uh as performance It’s a combination of the two and he is Elite at that now he is and I mean everybody is love somebody that just bombs the ball right there was a stat on one of the holes that they’re like this is where he hit it yesterday it was 376 yards love that [ __ ] and then on top of it I mean I I have seene and this is pretty good um the uh oh God I I knew this was going to happen to where all of a sudden like I’m looking for a name and the brain’s just not clicking to where like I can pull it up but the guy in Tin Cup who goes against Kevin Cosner who I mean it’s Don Johnson but what was his name uh David Sims David Sims so I saw this and this was pretty good where they’re like David or Bryson D Shambo is David Sims can’t believe you’re not seeing it and I’m like that’s interesting and then another person chimed in with the fact that he has the best PR agency in the world because of this like 2-year flip to where he went from being like hated hated because of all the BS the overreacting the complaining the anger all that stuff and has completely flipped it on its head to where people love him now yeah I mean I think that’s some of that’s just maturing right that’s I think to yeah I don’t think like I said I think there’s an effort to to really be paying attention to that but I think a lot of those outbursts I mean they would still be there if he really was that guy you you can’t keep that stuff in forever so uh yeah I think he’s just matured a little bit he’s got a little older I do too but rum PMC brings up a good point it hasn’t even been two years since the Rope incident like that’s crazy I forgot about the crazy no but that wasn’t that wasn’t in a live event that was in a PJ Tour event before he went over wasn’t it I’m almost B yeah but that that could be a teacher though right you do something super stupid you reacted to it you see how it was received by everyone and you go I’m not gonna [ __ ] act like a nerd anymore uh because look what that got me you know I don’t know that’s we’ve all done that yeah you grow up you do dumb [ __ ] you quit doing dumb [ __ ] because you made fun of for it not that here’s the other thing too I think when he join lived and he was alongside Brooks because Brooks is known as the alpha male right the Cool Jock the guy who just is like the guy he’s the F so oh yeah him and Bryson have become almost like bodies through all of this and I think he might have learned a thing or two from Brooks capka yeah I would say probably and now with the credit behind him with two US opens uh it looks like Brooks has fully accepted him too so yeah and Austin brings up a good point do you think there’s still resentment from tour players Bryson was one of those who sued Brooks didn’t sue um no I don’t think there is anymore that that whole thing was dropped everybody kind of backed out of it it moved on as soon as they got into the framework agreement but I do I will say this I do think there are players that don’t want the merger and don’t want to be associated with Liv and stand the guys on live because of the decision that they made there are players like I I can actually tell you firsthand that I have heard this from players that they still hold a very big grudge yeah these guys are you know they get to have their cake and eat it too so to speak right like they they get toh sign a fat check chill out all year and then oh well we’re just going to welcome them back with open arms like where’s my [ __ ] money you know uh I would have been ostracized and now and now we’re just going to hug this dude like I get it I get it but at the end of the day real recognize real and if you’re good uh like tiger said winning takes care of everything you know winning really does and talking about Tiger Woods great segue great segue into tiger is this the end for Tiger Woods no I don’t think saw he H the ball wonderfully I mean he hit it better than shiffler hit it you know for the it’s funny now because after every major tournament the media ask him the dumbest questions about retirement and like after a tough US Open tournament where you don’t make the cut you’re probably in your felds a little bit you know he’s probably not thinking oh I’m I’m right there I’m going to dominate again with one leg no but there was no physical complaint from Tiger this week if I’m not mistaken that’s one piece that we didn’t see that everybody figured was going to be the case oh his back his leg he’s not going to make it through physically and I think he did right he said he’s feeling better than he has in a long time like he continues to get a little bit better I mean was there a physical complaint from tiger on any of the days yeah my back was hurting you know I don’t remember hearing anything yeah I he just keeps alluding to the media that the end is near but here’s a cool thing that I found pretty interesting is that the uh the pack I was about to say what the acronym was and then I just totally lost my train of thought there so the pack is actually it’s the player something Council player advisory Council Jesus man I’m telling you so player advisory Council is actually looking to vote on a special lifetime exemption for Tiger so that he is automatically in on every single signature event that they have on tour that’s pretty cool I like that yeah and I think it’s a good idea for a Watchers perspective I mean you know we can all sit here and hypothesize about pain and injury and whether he still got it but we still want to watch him I still want to watch him play I do too I still love it and even if he’s not playing at the top level like you still get instances where you see vintage tiger and I think that’s cool and I love the fatherson dynamic with having Charlie out there and they’re almost like a team right now which is awesome to see there’s obviously huge Bond but between Father and Son there and uh again just you love to see it right love to see it for sure also another thing that I want to get into as well is Around The Travelers tournament we talked about this a little bit just a few moments ago with the whole Memorial side of things the Signature Events do you love how how they’re like in front of and behind a major championship or should they be more spread out throughout the year to give you some other events to really be looking forward to I like what you just said I think that those should be capitalized on away from the buildup to a major right like put them in like put them three months out and make it a signature event then people get excited you know like you said they have something that’s huge that uh is an appetizer and it’s not right behind a major agree for sure dude yeah yeah I I’m I’m I’m getting tired with like I didn’t even think that the Travelers coming up was a signature event and then obviously looking into it for the show I’m like holy crap I’m like The Travelers and I forgot we lost the Waste Management Phoenix Open as a signature series event and that actually moved to The Travelers so that’s where that Dynamic comes in but Dylan VRI says that uh tiger might not be as dominant but people are still loving to see him play love that well and again I think that’s awesome that people love to see him play I I was thinking about the money right like do the Signature Events uh have something to do with with sponsorship like The Travelers like all right you guys are going to come in and you’re going to spend this much money uh we’re gonna we’re going to elevate your event to a signature event and is it a money thing right like is it just how much that sponsor is dumping in uh to say that they have a signature event and maybe they don’t care uh they’re just going to take the money and hey that’s where fall so I don’t know does that make sense like is is it a money thing that makes that signature and that sponsor is paying so much [ __ ] money that they want it to be a signature event like they want those players there well and and that’s what I’ve heard is that they’re going to cycle these around but literally right after the US Open the PGA Tour has stated that they’re moving the Memorial tournament it’s not going to be in front of the US Open again they’re going to move that to its normal spot once again again which is a little bit later in the year they just they it was a mistake you just took the number one player in the world who it if he didn’t have to grind at the memorial to win that damn thing I still think he would have won Pinehurst that that is my own belief um I just think that he was exhausted because the other side to this is that Bryson he was a bit wild he kind of lost it during that final round and then kind of regrouped and just kind of hung in there right and then that par save on the last that’s stupid good he drove it right in the [ __ ] almost every hole that I watched and then got up and down from a trash can I mean that’s what he did really well right like it it yeah there was no pressing there there wasn’t a lot of looks and uh yeah every every t- shot I saw it looked like it was right you know every every driver one thing that I love about Bryson which is why it’s really disappointing that he’s not on the US team for the Olympics that dude is a gamer like he might not have the best short game in the world like his putting is underrated he’s a great putter but he short game yeah he just grinds and and that’s something in the US Open you have to do like you have to grind every single pitch chip everything because otherwise and I mean right here on your uh TV behind you this is where he just had to punch out and it ends up going into that bunker and that bunker shot because I’m sitting there going okay we got a playoff yeah I didn’t think there was a shot that he was getting up and down from there but he party swung at it too like you’re on 18th the US Open and he just said [ __ ] it like we’re yeah he went for it like that that was a around and find out moment and then he goes and shows Johnson Wagner how to hit that shot in the dark and he sticks it even closer than Bryson did that was incredible I’m like holy [ __ ] Bryson what are you doing man and then he’s pounding booze out of the freaking US Open cop he’s running around from like Media Station to Media Station like with it he’s having every fan touch it I mean I used to think Jordan speed’s people were just absolutely like dynamite with making sure that he said everything perfect all the time but Bryson is now that guy he is now the fan favorite he’s the guy people love to watch He’s exciting he’s entertaining and I got to give him a hell of a lot of credit because I not always been a Bryson fan but I am a Bryson fan that dude is playing some golf in major championships this year but isn’t it a little bit weird that he hasn’t even won a live event uh yeah yeah it it’s super weird I think it’s a completely different kind of golf though right like live is like uh almost like a Skins game like they play some courses where you know dudes that can stop it on a dime and hit it to number do really well and uh they don’t have to hit it 370 and then chip something up that rolls across the green 80 yard I mean you just don’t see that in your standard Liv EV I great run PMC says the anti- Lee Westwood shot by Bryson from the 18th bunker playing to win I believe that is in reference to when Lee Westwood choked his ass off yeah just saying oh man now H I live and by the way as I’m going through this I still feel like I am moving and in motion from that cruise boat like we had some choppy Waters too so it’s like this is what I feel like’s happening like my head is bobbing around but I’m looking at the screen and I’m actually stationary so it’s really really messy in my head but I’m hearing you swallow a lot like you got some serious uh you know some reflux going on there I can hear the my noise cancel oh my God I had to look up like between the acid reflux and then at the same time the coughs that like would like the dry coughs and I’m like oh God do I got Co like what’s going on here no it’s acid reflux like when you drink too many Dam Boos in a stretch of time and of course heading down in Mexico or in Cabo we Popp and freaking tequila it’s great but anti says the live events are exhibition beer League crap um I I don’t agree with that don’t agree with that there’s some good events but if you ask me the right question here I will tell you that do I think Bryson focuses as hard on these live golf events as he does these major championships or potentially some PGA Tour events if he was playing in them and my answer to you would be no he’s not focusing as hard I think we’d have the same result if he had played a full season on tour we could have the same [ __ ] thing right where he doesn’t he hasn’t won a PGA Tour event you know in a year uh but he shows up in the majors you know I think he would win on the PGA tour though like I I got a feeling that he would probably go on a little bit of a run like he would be Scotty shefflers and Ro like he would be one of the big three like we would actually have a golf big three we would have Rory mooy actually let me let me start over I don’t want people thinking I’m putting Rory first I would say Scotty Sheffer Bryson and then Rory that would be my big three in golf right now yeah yeah I would agree with that for sure yeah and then you can’t too [ __ ] if ROM doesn’t go live maybe God yeah you’re right on that go ahead he’s definitely in the top three or four uh if that fall from battle mode doesn’t happen probably worst decision John ROM has ever made but Manny made a lot of money in his family is set forever can’t hate him for that cannot hate him for that that is golf for a while they had a long time off a lot of those guys yeah came back and we’re not the same players cam Smith being one of them that dude has struggled just like I’m struggling right now [ __ absolutely great tournament though it’s a new course yeah TPC something is uh it’s a secret venue it’s not TPC Connecticut TPC Hartford I think that’s correct I think it’s TPC Harford I think it matters somewhere it’s somewhere in that state yeah it’s in Connecticut a lot of New Yorkers go up to a lot of Boston people come down to it um who you liking this week oh God I don’t even like I said I wasn’t prepared for this but who uh who is in the field I know that’s a that’s a large question but uh yeah lot lot of players because it’s a signature series event so um if F now’s in I don’t I don’t hate him that’s not bad and I actually think this is going to be cool having the top players playing this golf course because this is a golf course where you can go deep Kevin stman has won here before so this is one and Kevin had one of the best back nins you will ever see um outside of Victor holand during the FedEx Cup last year um during that where he got in early with a [ __ ] ton of birdies on the back nine we actually were playing it in the gym one day and he’s just I I’ll tell you if he was in this I would think that like he’d have a shot but but um I’m going to go Keegan Bradley Boston guy Cromwell Connecticut is very close to there Keegan tends to play this golf course well um so I I like Keegan even though you know having all those big names up there that’s a bit of a dark course I feel like how long is the golf course like not it’s one of it’s one of the shorter golf courses that they play I don’t hate Jake I mean I don’t hate that either I know he play well open yeah I mean I don’t hate that like you said if it’s not long yeah for sure Ricky I don’t know if Ricky’s going to shine through I’ve been I’ve been pulling for Ricky uh God you you’ve been on that buddy talk lately with scadd I I mean yeah it’s not [ __ ] we’re close we’re close we’re close and maybe that’s the case with a great deal of those guys they’re probably all really [ __ ] close opportunity on Sunday to come out in a Payne Stewart outfit like he did when he first came on tour yes yeah even if it has the logo of the team like oh man if he would have won and done the oh [ __ ] dude it’s all I can think about so I didn’t even I didn’t even tweet it on Saturday but when he had a three- shot lead coming into Sunday all I was hoping for was that he had that outfit on of the high socks the pants tucked in at the knee the freaking hat that he used to wear that he like he still has those hats the Bryon D Shambo brand hats and Nick novitzki uh he said that would have been sick uh like I just feel like that is if he his PR team’s really really good they should have done that they should have had it ready for him you know yeah that would have blown the lid off everything uh and created yeah that’d be epic forever I mean that it would have been viral and in history forever yeah makes that Putt and goes into the pose like oh my God why think about that that would have been amazing right and how cool is it that by the way he dressed like that because pain Stewart was his favorite golfer he doesn’t even talk about that anymore and he wins at Pinehurst number two the same course that Payne Stewart won his only major and his dad right his dad was a huge fan like that’s where it all kind of stemmed from so yeah Ian big opportunity there um we’re g to keep keep it moving keep it grooving so piff and the PGA Tour I don’t even think you can see my eyes anymore no you’re doing great dude just don’t die my skin tone is the same color as my eyes right now red okay would love to have had the call and I would also I’m not hating on you and Kyle going up against him because I think Kyle probably is a bit better than me right now I will say that because Kyle’s got did it in the past great question I think we touched upon this just a little bit um earlier about you know how Bry was the first guy when Xander won the PJ Championship that he went up shook his hand congratulated him and really face the music in that way very M mature thing to do and then you’ve got some body like Rory mooy who does the exact opposite he’s he left in the car didn’t do any media whatsoever has withdrawn from events now and probably isn’t playing until like a month from now at the Scottish Genesis open so that is a tough look for Rory maroy yeah that’s I mean he showed his know people that have been around Phil and uh corroborated that story with Rory I don’t know anybody that personally knows him from his inner circle that can attest to that but it looked like a real well doesn’t that make the point a fact like if if you don’t think going to come back you you pretty much said it then right then he he doesn’t have that dog in him if if he can’t come back from this and Shake It Off and at least show face to the cameras that he’s a warrior and he will be back and and this is just a chip off the shoulder that that says it all you know you you’re weak you’re uh off from harbort toown and everything and that kind worked for him but this one’s different well look at uh you know uh has spe comeback since he dumped it in the water on 12 I mean has he what did he back in a month or so stronger than before well then I’ll be eating my damn words here Dylan because I don’t believe it I don’t like this is one there are times in these guys’ careers guyses in these players careers that they just can’t overcome look at Greg Norman with the Masters like the second time he had an opportunity to win that damn thing and had the huge lead just collapse like there are demons when you play golf that’s why you don’t mess with the golf Gods you don’t do stupid [ __ ] on the golf course you don’t mess with the golf Gods they’re real it’s that moment in particular and that tournament and having it all go down uh and that short of a pot that’s just a lot to overcome that’s a lot it’s a lot anti- lives got a great question here what what scare is worse for Rory that putt or the divorce conversation well I think it was the Ernie telling him that his uh prenup is not Ironclad and that she’s probably getting half mhm that’s probably what uh would be worse on that one uh because Rory’s still going to make money like that’s the thing Rory’s still going to I wouldn’t say I mean he probably I wouldn’t say Rory overcame anything if he goes and wins just a regular PJ Tour event or a DP World Tour event that to me is not him over coming it Rory winning another major that’s probably the part to for me that is out of the question and I think the next time he’s got a four-footer In Contention in a major if he ever does he might [ __ ] himself you think he’s talked to his wife even a word yet oh it’s not scare he autocorrect God antilive he said scar damn out that he’s having a divorce and all of a sudden he’s getting with Amanda balonus which by the way I believe all of that had like transpired he was free he’s playing golf if you guys ever know like get with a new girl like look at the tiger stretch it bodess very well for a professional golfer apparently and then all of a sudden he’s got to go back to his wife and they call off the divorce those four footer started looking like we lose the US Open all uh within a two week span I hate to say this but we should probably put Rory on suicide watch right now Jesus oh man that’s aot what he what if he resurfaces on the Liv [Laughter] tour not Happ all right we got to get to the PGA Tour and piff m um yeah there was some breaking stuff um tonight in regards to just a letter that’s gone out to the players in regards to this whole thing doesn’t say much uh but I what I will tell you is the PGA Tour had to tell the players because all of a sudden the players are like why are we finding out from the effing media about a deal being signed yeah and we’d know nothing about it so honestly that’s all that letter was from Jay Monahan out to the players was just continuing to say hey negotiations are close things are moving in the right direction and we cannot negotiate in public we need you guys to stay cool yeah that’s all that was um I was telling you butsy that uh I feel like the the deal will be done before the Open Championship that’s my sense yeah you did say that yeah and now when like the news travels so fast right where maybe there’s a players meeting you know scheduled tomorrow and the deal gets done or whatever who’s leaking like who’s getting in trouble for leaking this [ __ ] somebody’s leaking it right like right somebody’s somebody’s talking about it that was there not that do not meet like us employment contracts there’s Equity involved there’s all these different elements that we already saw it the US justice department did not like that the PJ tour was even thinking about doing a framework agreement with piff got called in Jimmy Dunn sitting there in front of uh the in front of us officials and that’s a tough conversation to have when you’re bringing in a lot of money for one of the prominent sports leagues in America yeah but it sounds like they’re going to get it done there’s no going back I it’s gon to happen again it’s my yeah anti- live I knew he’s the sacrificial name he’s the pawn that’s fine um he was never going to be brought back in in my op and are they just going to buy guys out of their contract hey dude thanks for playing you’re done uh well think about it most of the guys are done after this year the three-year contracts yeah yeah that’s true I guess that’s true yeah so they they’ll just perfect timing yeah exactly yeah and by the way we have teams on the PGA tour in not a traditional PGA Tour sense but with the tgl so with the tgl we already have Boston common golf we’ve got Atlanta Drive we’ve got New York golf club we’ve got like there’s teams that are already established uh we are LC so there are already teams how the live teams are going to be brought into it we’re going to see it’s going to be interesting I’m telling you that much yeah what new players that are on tour currently will now potentially be a part of those teams like you know Phil spots I mean there’s going to be some trade I don’t know like how do you how you going to qualify to be on a live team if you choose to like I don’t know that’s there’s a lot there’s a lot to iron out and a guy like Rah who just signed that’s what I’m curious about so you’re gonna have you’re going to have basically triaa baseball which is going to be basic tour events right this kind of what I this is my take and maybe this is wrong you can tell me maybe you know more but AAA ball basic tour events uh everybody can play in knows certain guys will qualify for the elevated events for more money and then you’re going to have Team golf that’s also going to happen is that kind of what it sounds like yeah you got three levels of the PJ tour you do and I wouldn’t it’s tough to throw the AAA moniker on it because you’re going to get some PGA Tour guys that are going to play in regular events but it’s basically going to be the Signature Events Majors so there’s actually four tiers right the Signature Events the majors and then team golf so it’s going to make I I see a problem though like the new guys the rookies the dudes that uh get a tour card and are fresh off the boat so to speak um they’re going to have to play even harder than they have now to keep their spot because now you’re going to have to be on the money list and you’re going to hope that you play so [ __ ] good that you get into these Signature Events and those are worth so much more money that it’s going to catapult you into an area where you keep your card you’re going to see I bet there’s just going to be guys coming and going worse than we’ve ever seen like you know what though it’s becoming soccer it’s becoming soccer with the different tiers and levels Yeah so basically teams can get promotions based off of how well they played within a given year and then you move up into bigger and bigger leagues to play against teams that are better and better so it’s almost as if like you have to continue to build up build up build up build up year after year in order to get to like the Premier League so those are like the top level teams right I and I’m not one to be able to be speaking about soccer especially in this condition but I will say that that is how soccer works so yeah that is very much so and you’re right it’s going to be a lot tougher for the guys I mean hopefully there’s going to be a lot of money that comes into the corn fairy tour hopefully the corn fairy tour starts getting better promotion around it and then the regular PJ tour events that’s got to have a bigger aspect to it like there’s these variations to these different levels that you have to peque an interest amongst golf fans to keep them watching and that’s where I I do believe with the Strategic Sports Group that they are going to be able to do that because they’re bringing in some real knowledge of around sports sports broadcast I mean you got a lot of guys in there that own teams and franchises and it’s just like okay I believe we’re already starting to see it a little bit in the broadcast like when they brought up the tournament within the tournament at the US Open I think there might have been a little bit of influence there being like little these are these are storylines that we need to get the fans more right and we got a guy here that hasn’t had a top 25 first year on tour he needs three top 25s and the next eight events or he’s gone you know well you’re gonna have to play that good to stay there or to play the next year is what I’m saying it’s going to be really tough to break out you’re gonna have to be uh like a star otherwise you’re just goingon to go right back down to to the farm team you know to Corn it’s a doggy dog world and the I mean professional golf wants names right yeah we’ve noticed this with live golf they’ve been able to be successful because they had big names guys that might be a little bit past their primes but they still got big names PJ tourers realized this as well that’s why the signature series events and everything that’s going on there uh before we head off let’s talk a little bit about live golf Nashville because I have a feeling this might be their biggest event out inside of Adelaide a lot of live golf people that are kind of put a pin on this particular event and was like this is the event I’m going to yeah I mean you you heard it yes this is the event have you ever been to Nashville no uh my brother was just there and said he was sending me videos uh I’d never seen anything like that uh four five story bars a mile long uh Kid Rock shows up he’s playing I mean it just looked like insane yeah never see anything like that yeah yeah I thought huge this week that’s just me that’s just me right now in this condition yeah just just surviving I’m in pure survival mode I hope the I I hope our audience just appreciates the level of dedication that I have to this whole damn thing that I I refuse not to come on and do a live we even talked about me doing it on the cruise ship and by the way that would have just been an absolute debacle like the Wi-Fi was so spotty I had the highest plan you could get apparently you were supposed to get like highspeed internet absolutely not it was janky wasn’t very good and I just was like no we’re pushing it back an hour as soon as I land I’m going home home and we’re going to do it remotely that’s that’s how we’re going to roll this week so my one big question with live golf Nashville is not around the bars and everything going on there it’s actually do you think Bryson will continue his play into this week like do you think he’s actually gonna give a [ __ ] yeah yeah I do I yeah I just think every every time somebody tees it up they’re trying to win I don’t know I mean everybody says yeah they don’t take it seriously and that just doesn’t fly for me that’s like saying you’re going out there and throwing the tal and like you’re trying to hit good shots and beat everybody regardless of what you’re doing or where you’re playing and I think Bryson out of all people is probably wired that way uh he just wants to be the best he he can be playing in the immunity League against us and he would want to beat the living [ __ ] out of us so yeah I think he’ll probably play well there this week I hope so and I hope because they’ve got a stretch of golf coming up for Liv that he’s able to carry this through you know what I’m saying like he’s able to get that Lim light because remember the PJ Championship everybody I mean he was a bigger talk than Xander schafle was for all the social media and everything like he was the best things in sliced bread then all of a sudden go a couple weeks without any golf not being able to see him and he’s gone like he’s off the stage now he’s back and all of a sudden he wins the US Open it’s like holy [ __ ] like let’s see with some events now if he can carry this through I think in my opinion I I want to say that this is the biggest live moment for Bryson that he could capitalize on all of his success if he comes out and dominates in Nashville wins the event I mean he’s going to everything’s going to explode around him I feel like yeah I would agree with that man and I think it would be a good bet to uh if you’re gonna bet on Liv to take Bryson this week for sure anti live you know too much about Liv golf sometimes it doesn’t doesn’t bode well for your account he goes not a chance those Wayward drivers those Wayward drivers will be bogy what are you talking about did you watch Pinehurst the I got up and down from everywhere hit it in the [ __ ] on the toughest golf course they’ve seen in 10 years you think he’s not going to be able to get it around Nashville what I just hope I just hope he plays well being drunk all week that’s what I hope yeah that’s the worst case he’s gonna come into it with a pretty stiff hangover he’s gonna be looking like Maddie over here and uh you know we’ll see yeah no you look great you looke no I don’t but I
