[Music] ah there it is play that music woo Foxboro Russ Travis Thomas here with Adam pin how are you champion of the world you know what I’m feeling fine Travis as is the city of Boston I’m sorry the city of Champions Celtics raising another Banner the first championship in the city of Boston since the Patriots yes were able to get the job done I think we’re a long ways off from the Patriots winning another title but maybe some other teams could be in the mix you never know never know you never know my friend by the way the first Boston championship of your dear friend Travis Thomas the first of many more I hope Adam as I told you when I showed up here I said listen man I’m here for one thing the dirty water in the titles baby well I guess that’s two things but you know what I mean so we’ll see Hey listen my friend I covered a Stanley Cup champion in the Washington Capitals I covered a World Series champion in the Washington Nationals now I’ve covered the Boston Celtics Banner 18 come on Drake May the only thing eluding me is that Lombardi Adam and damn it I’m gonna get there Drake May is gonna take me to the promised land I can feel it I love that Drake May by the way has been at the playoffs uh for the Bruins and the Celtics he was in the building and getting the full sort of experience of what it’s like in Boston when you win right the Bruins obviously lost in the second round but they had a thrilling Series against the Maple Leafs the Celtics doing what they did and Drake May being in the building so I’m glad he’s able to take all that in that gives him a little motivation yep no that’s well said all right so from one young brigh eyed bushy tailed promising quarterback to an old Crogan dark Retreat going on iasa smoking dumpster fire in Aaron Rogers I have some quotes for you my friend i’ love to hear these so Rogers as we all know missed the Jets mandatory mini camp last week for something that was quote very important to him so Albert Breer these are the quotes here on Aaron Rogers unspecified whereabouts the best I can answer this right now that I feel solid about is that he is somewhere that they could not excuse and maintain credibility with the rest of the locker room but would be expected that it would not be an outof left field thing for him Brier said he went on to say you guys can open your mind so to speak and as to where he’s been known to open his mind sometimes in all the possibilities end quot quote translation he’s on another Darkness Retreat and clearly Adam he’s back on them narcotics he’s seeing all kinds of things and and hallucinating and and getting in one with his Chi or whatever it is that he does this is a mess I didn’t believe this from the beginning Adam I was all over this I thought in the end in Green Bay he was living off of his name not that he stunk but but he was as he was starting to get old he was not aging well this is not tb12 we’re talking about this is a guy whose production was taking a bit of a dip not not a major one but a bit of a dip where you said okay he’s getting older he’s he’s out of his prime he’s on the back nine you can see that you could still win with him talent-wise but he was becoming very prickly he didn’t want to play with the younger players on the team and all this nonsense meanwhile the team around him everyone could recogn this is a very young talented Packers team and he just became such a pain in the ARs Adam that he finally got his way wind his way out of town goes to this super talented Jets team that we thought was a quarterback away and it is just not working there and I don’t think it’s going to work Adam what say you the Jets just can’t get the quarterback thing right no matter what they do no matter who they draft no matter who they sign or trade for they just can’t get it right you go back years and years of this Trav yeah it’s unbelievable how they’ve swung and missed on all of these quarterbacks over the years it’s crazy who was the last good quarterback they had I mean Mark Sanchez had a little bit of a run to get him the AFC title game I get but he’s not a quarterback Brett Favre was a swing and a miss you know I mean I don’t know Vinnie test verie maybe right Vinnie test Vinnie the last guy gross really seriously I know it’s been awful and no I don’t think this Aaron roders thing is going to work out either for a number of different reasons right I mean we’re talking about Aaron roders being a distraction right now yeah to the Jets to his teammates to his head coach they find themselves answering questions about Aaron roders not being at mandatory miniamp yeah so even if Robert Robert salad say hey you know what we’re in a good place right now me and Aaron are on the same page and he’s saying all these things publicly the point is Travis is he’s having to address these things publicly because his quarterback his 40y old quarterback coming off an Achilles injury that forced him to miss the entire season is not at mandatory mini camp as he tries to make his way back on the field for the Jets it’s awful I don’t care that he was at OTAs it doesn’t matter he’s not at mandatory mini camp he’s making it about himself he’s a distraction to his head coach to his teammates and he is a great annoyance to Jets fans who are just like come on can we just get one quarterback under Center for an entire season to be competent that’s all we want yeah it it’s interesting I actually feel really fortunate to be talking to you right now about this because we’re in that age bracket of Aaron Rodgers and and you and I both are going through great length to just try our Ares off to age gracefully and it’s really hard to do and you have to commit to it and you have to put in work to it and you don’t recover as fast as you used to you can’t stay up drinking all weekend long like you used to and bounce back you can’t there’s certain things in your diet you had to change and I I actually mentioned tb12 earlier and it’s kind of funny because Tom as he aged became obsessive with aging and trying to squeeze every little last bit out of the juice of that lemon so to speak as his career went on and even when he left here he handpicked Tampa Bay he he looked at that roster construction he said okay this is a really good offensive line we have a high draft pick we could take another tackle in the line in the in the draft which they did uh they had receivers they had a running game Bruce arens it made sense everyone who retires goes to Florida everything made sense for Tom and it was very calculated and very Tom now you have Aaron roders who really and I’ll go back to this if he looked at the world in the same way okay Darkness Retreats ain’t it brother like that’s not that’s not the way that’s not the Fountain of Youth here as far as it pertains to football anyways and I think he overlooked a young Green Bay Team all he had to do was stop being a pain and just stay there keep his head down work and those young players could grow around him now we’re seeing Jordan love grow with those young players but Rogers could help really Usher in these young guys and maybe moved it along even faster in terms of their development but instead he says well you know what it’s always about me right it’s the darkness Retreats it’s the I’m going to get away and unplug from football things are my life there are things bigger than football and all this nonsense and then don’t even get me started on the politics and the conspiracy theories we could do a whole another podcast on all that BS and then he picks a Jets team now in this one I’ll give him credit very much like Tom he picked a Jets team that has a ton of talent great defense it’s a big Market in New York I kind of get it but there’s no offensive line there so I’m like I just this guy has set himself up in my opinion Adam to not age gracefully he is he is aging rapidly I mean he’s aging faster now we never saw him with any catastrophic injuries in Green Bay I mean an Achilles is no joke and I think a lot of it is because of that offensive line and he certainly is not from my purview taking this rehab of one of the hardest injuries there is to rehab from Adam he is not taking it seriously by going on these damn Darkness Retreats you need to be getting treatment getting healthy being with your teammates being at everything mandatory voluntary or otherwise with your team and he is anything but doing all of that yeah if you’re going to commit to play football at the age of 40 or older or even in your late 30s you have to make a commitment similar to what Tom Brady did right and I know we always compare quarterbacks to Tom Brady but in this case it’s relevant because of Aaron Rogers age right because we never thought of quarterbacks playing into their 40s right right that was not a thing until Tom Brady really made it a thing I mean Warren Moon was a guy who’s sort of an anomaly some other guys that played for a while I mean Joe Montana I mean I think was I don’t know in his late 30s I want to say when he ended it with the Chiefs but he just didn’t see that so that’s another thing too Trav I I think because we saw Tom Brady do what he did we’re thinking that well you know what other quarterbacks are going to be able to do that because of the advances in sports science and all the technology that’s available all the information that’s available and all the fitness routines and things like that right and the diet but you know what you mentioned our age you feel things at 40 that you didn’t feel in your 30s right and you can work out you can work out you can diet you can do everything right but at the end of the day father time as Mark Jackson famously says is undefeated right and so I think if you’re going to commit to playing football at Aaron Rogers age you have to really commit then that means not missing mandatory mini camp we’ll just say that don’t miss mandatory mini camp get your ass out on the field into the W room and I’m not saying he’s not doing all those things but you have to do it not at 100% but at 125 150% you have to work that much harder you have to work that much harder if you’re you and I to stay in shape at this age if you want to be on an NFL field you got to take that to to the max Way Beyond anything we could ever dream of and this shows us that he’s not doing that yeah I agree and here’s the other thing too I think there’s some context here if Aaron Rogers is coming off a pro bowl season and the Jets just came up short in the in the postseason right he played well but they just lost to they were they were out uh you know gunned by a Lamar Jackson or something like that then I don’t think I would be as harsh here I think I would look at it like hey man that’s Aaron Rogers he proved he still has this or that left in the tank jets are right there they’ll be fine but contextually speaking here Adam I mean the guy got hurt five seconds into the season he has a defensive minded coach on the hot seat here uh I I just by the way in the division say what you want I understand it’s it’s you know the system but Tua puts up numbers Josh Allen’s a freak of nature I mean just look around the AFC Lamar Jackson uh burrow coming back stoud now coming on momes the champ Herbert I mean come on now what are we talking about so I I think some of that is my frustration I don’t give a rats you know what about the Jets I want all the bad things in life to happen to them but at the same time I can recognize that this is Aaron roders that roster is very good but the commitment level of someone who didn’t do a damn thing last year is what’s really disappointing to me about the player I I think I need that sort of fire in him of man I came here with all these expectations and I got hurt I want to prove to my guys right that that I’m here and we’re going going to win together this year and the fact that he’s doing the same stuff he was doing at the end there in Green Bay that got him out of town it’s just dis heartening and it makes me feel like in the end Adam the Jets move was a money grab whereas Brady went to the Bucks it it it had nothing to do with money it had everything to do with getting a ring so he could prove hey I can win outside of New England right with Aaron now it really feels to me like the New York plat form the the big stage of New York to to get out all his nonsense that he wants to put into the atmosphere in terms of his views and also I mean he got paid and I just think in the end it’s it’s looking like it was a money grab to me Adam does it land that way with you or am I being too critical I’m not going to rule that out he’s making it about himself again I’ll go back to it he’s making his teammates and his head coach answer questions about him not being at mandatory mini camp and they’re going to face those same questions when they return in July for training camp it’s going to be all about Aaron Rodgers and it’s going to be all about Aaron Rogers anyway because obviously he’s the quarterback of the team he’s gonna be a Hall of Famer and he’s coming off an Achilles injury at the age of 40 obviously it will be but it’s going to be all about Aaron roders and other ways that it shouldn’t be right and it’s GNA be questions about where were you right what were you doing were you on a Darkness Retreat and then it’s gonna be these stupid little answers and you know and he’s GNA make people think you know not give them you know not answer it directly and make people ask those right and and it’s going to be up for an interpretation and we’re going to be sitting here on foxb Rush we’re gonna be talking about it what do you mean by that right like seriously that that you know you can blame the media all you want but at the end of the day it’s an easy fix all you have to do is say you know what I’m gonna go to mandatory mini camp and I’m gonna postpone the darkness Retreat until the end of June I’m gonna go for four days at the end of June so that way I’m at training uh mini camp I’m not having to answer any questions about it I’m not making it a distraction for anybody I’m going to reschedule it so I can go satisfy my own whatever and then come back at training camp and all we got to talk about now is football and coming back from an Achilles injury and how badly I want to do that but no it’s not gonna be like that it’s not gonna be like that and you know what Aaron Rogers is not the same quarterback that he was when he was a a younger man right and that’s just that’s that’s that happens with everybody but especially coming off an Achilles injury and I wonder Travis can he be a pocket passer I mean because we we’ve seen this guy you know do the this use his athleticism masterfully yeah to create offense is he gonna be able to do that at his age and coming off that injury I mean is he gonna have to reinvent himself again these are rhetorical questions you can answer if you want but these are all things you know I start off by by saying Jets just can’t get the quarterback thing right yeah I mean I I just don’t see it working out I don’t see him Reinventing himself I see him more as a sort of a stubborn man who’s not g to change his ways and is GNA try to do it how he always did it and not going to be able to do it yeah it’s a fair question uh listen I have the same question about Kurt Cousins who’s coming off the same injury not e neither one of these guys we’re talking about are are Lamar Jackson type guys who are going to run all over you but both of them move a lot within the pocket to set up the pass down the field but the difference is I know Kurt Cousins is devoted to football Kurt Cousins is going to come back as healthy as possible and probably still play at that same high level and never win anything when it counts but in terms of the regular season he’s going to put up numbers Aaron roders I just don’t have that same faith in and by the way we’re talking about a Jets team without him and they were a Civ a quarterback and they went s and 10 I mean that shows you how let’s call it what it is dominant the defense can be and those weapons and Garrett Wilson and others and they added some this off season this team’s ready to go and so if you can win seven games without Aaron Rogers I mean my God if the guy can stay upright Adam to your question even if he is a pocket passer it’s an upgrade from what you’ve had at the position for many moons so I I look at it like really you need more mental you need the mental aspect of Aaron Rogers dialed in more so than the physical if he is limited in terms of we don’t see that scrambling Rogers anymore sure you lose the magic of Aaron Rodgers but he’s still just standing in the pocket reading defenses he’s accurate as all hell he’s got zip on the ball I mean that’s an upgrade so I if this team won seven games without him even if he’s not the same guy they should be able you would think to win nine to 10 games but the issue is not the physicality it’s the mentality yeah agreed they upgraded their offensive line he talked about the Jets offensive line not being good I mean they drafted an offensive tackle made a couple of signings and they upgraded the offensive line it should be better this year and you mentioned some of the guys that they brought Mike Williams you know coming off of the right e injury you know I don’t know if he’s going to be the same type of player but again that’s another weapon uh know they like Malachi Corley you know who who they got in in the third round so those are a couple of additions and you know we’ll see if Nathaniel Hackett can bounce back I guess as as an offensive coordinator not having much to work with a handp picked by Aaron Rogers by the way so that’s that’s another thing to keep an eye on there it could it could go fairly well you mentioned it seven and 10 last year without Aaron Rogers with an absolute boondoggle situation at quarterback you know it could go well but again not off to a good start no not a good start in New York even the Nathaniel hacket thing feels like maybe a decision that was made while Rogers was on trooms now let’s move on to another star let’s move on to another star here what a segue what a segue Brandon auk with the ners uh I don’t know about you I’m not on Tik Tok but I did see the video where he’s talking to his former Arizona State teammate and current Commander QB rookie Jaden Daniels and basically you know I wouldn’t say this is cryptic to me we’ll take a listen here Adam but it sounds like he says they don’t want me anymore and we have to assume he’s talking about the ners take a look and then we’ll react on the other side bro what what happed they said they they said they don’t want me back okay so this is what I’m taking away from this he’s talking about the ners and that Jaden Daniels celebrating there thinks my commanders can go get this guy well I would tell Jaden Daniels get in line buddy because there’s a bunch of teams including one we’re talking about right now that I would love to trade for Brandon auk and then pay him whatever he wants now the reports Adam are that the ners offered him 26 mil per which I to be honest I think it’s fair but we know these receivers are getting paid right now I’m going to assume Brandon iuk wants more than that and probably wants to be in that 30 mil a year range uh jayen Wadd who feels like a comp to me I think Brandon iuk may even be a little bit better makes 28 million a year so I wonder if if the Niners just H bump it up a little bit a little you know compromised right below 30 but above 26 can they work something out but if they’re telling him 26 is it per year and he’s saying I no to that clearly Adam I mean you’re gonna have some suitors here for Brandon iuk he’s going to be available yeah I’m just thinking about why you posting this you know like well I know I know I get it I get it you know it’s the world we live in I I you know old man yells at Cloud I understand that I’m an old head whatever but like you’re going to put this on social media you know people are going to be talking about it you want to generate that conver that kind of conversation yeah do you think that’s gonna put pressure on the Niners to pay you right is that the strategy is that the is that the play here that’s that’s sort of what I that was my reaction to watching it’s like all right what’s the motivation here is it to make him look bad because you didn’t get what you wanted I don’t know what it is so that aside you know I also Wonder too it’s just like all right let’s say you know 26 million a year it’s a lot of money and I don’t begrudge a guy for trying to get as much money as he possibly can at the at the peak of his career in his prime and all that stuff I get that I understand that but this was the Niners team that almost won the Super Bowl yes you know that’s a Niners team almost won the Super Bowl and it’s like you got something kind of special going there you know you got a really good situation you got a quarterback that came out of nowhere you just sign Christian mcaffrey Debo Samuel’s contract is another situation where we might we might get to that a little bit too in the conversation about auk and what they do with him but you got a good team and you got a good situation and are you gonna not you’re gonna hold out which he’s done right he’s not reporting a mini camp doing that whole thing for two million a year right I don’t know man you know like to me it’s just like you know what all right fine if we want to get Debo his and we you know get his bag we want if I get paid too we keep this thing together you know and I hate again hate to keep going back to it but that’s what they did here in New England right that’s how they made things work whether you believe in that or not they wanted to win together and they they made it happen with their they made the money work that’s right so so I don’t know I I don’t know if if if auk’s thinking you know what I just want to get paid I don’t care where I play maybe that maybe that’s it um but I mean he definitely he’s in that he’s in that conversation I think Waddles is is a good comp for him as well I think so yeah right 28 mil a year so you know he’s not in the Jefferson Stratosphere CD lamb Stratosphere or anything like that he’s not no I hope he’s not thinking that he’s he’s 30 plus but I think he is so Adam here’s the issue you know we talked about this as as you said with Tik Tok I feel the same way I there’s no way I’m posting this um I think it speaks to the decision making not just of him just just that generation in terms of I think what’s Happening Here is he’s looking at all these wide receivers get the bag this off season I mean my God and it’s got to look sometimes your gift is your curse right like these guys when they’re out on that field you cannot tell Brandon auk he’s not Jerry Rice I’m sure in his head he is the greatest thing at w receiver walking right now but you know he looks around the league and he goes Aman Ross St Brown got what I mean this guy got what he got what and and it’s ego Adam I I mean that’s what it is now the thing is I understand that because that’s what that’s part of what makes you great on Sundays but you also have to see the forest through the trees to your point of you have something special there in the bay so if you want 30 or somewhere in the 30s and they’re offering like Reports say we don’t know Reports say 26 Common Sense would tell me all right let’s bump it up a little bit get me in that Jay and waddle range and then let’s go ball and then figure out Debo too right like I completely agree with you of I think in sports now we’re be there’s so much money we are losing sight of team and and and this is a bigger conversation for you and I on a different podcast maybe or different day of Foxboro rush but even look at like what’s happening in the college game right now right now all of a sudden in college athletics really the transfer portal is trades and nil is free agency right so like these these players coming into the NFL they’re looking at it the opposite of the way you and I are looking at it they’re not looking at it from Team they’re looking at it from me not we we please I ain’t French me and so that’s what’s happening here so I do think auk’s gonna get paid from somebody and I go on that entire Spiel to only say I hope it’s the Patriots because let me tell you something trade trade for him overpay him give them 30 you got the money give him 30 and I am willing to see if he’s a true number one option because right now where he is there’s just two men any weapons to truly know he puts up numbers like a number one but between Deo and maccaffrey and KD and I mean my goodness send them here where you’re going to be the man and you will be paid accordingly now let’s see what you do I am willing to do that Adam yeah no question about that I mean I’m talking about taking a Team friendly deal with the Niners who are ready to win now right because if I’m him I’m I’m thinking about that I I would be just because were just in the Super Bowl and you got this great roster you got this quarterback came out of nowhere right and you got you got weapons now if I’m a Patriots fan I’m like bring this guy here pay him whatever he wants because Drake May needs somebody to throw to that’s that’s what I’m thinking so again I you know I I don’t know if the Patriots if that’s even a consideration for them at this point I wish it were yeah because you need you need you need a number one man you know Tom Brady’s not walking through that door anymore he can’t make you know chicken salad or chicken bleep you know what I mean he can’t do you can’t ask your rookie quarterback jacobe Brett certainly not going to be able to do that you can’t ask your rookie quarterback to do that yeah and so why not why not man like why not so yeah I it’s easy to say it’s not my money but I but I but that’s the market that’s the market for a top wide receiver we just went through those Nam names the guys that are making all that money the Top Flight wide receivers in the National Football League are getting paid that kind of money that’s so you’re going to have to do that if you want to bring somebody like that in you can’t you can’t now you can’t offer you know we talked about Gerard Mayo taking a lot of the stuff from the back in the day down all the Patriots championships and all that stuff right so you can’t and and conversely you can’t sell that now right that’s not part of the sales pitch because it’s like why I want to come here who’s throwing me the football what what does this what does this team look like he can’t be looking at that though it’s obvious to me he’s not looking at that because he would work it out with the ners if it’s clearly about and that’s my point D that’s my point it’s like if you’re the Patriots no you can’t offer any of that you have toer the you have to offer him what he wants that’s right and lobster rolls because let me tell you something at some point my deal is going to be up with nesson and I’m gonna be honest if they’re coming up short on the money I’ll say okay let’s let’s start let’s just start working on the lobster roll consumption here I heard you got a lifetime contract I mean I heard listen bro I heard you got a lifetime contract you bring that in I’m I’m good baby let’s go hey for all the latest in Boston Sports and pop culture tune in to me and Adam on Boston has entered the chat uh check it out on ness’s YouTube Facebook twitch wherever you get your podcast make sure you follow us as well on all your social media accounts for all of our best content all right former Patriot Philip Dorset had some interesting quotes I want to read you here he says Andrew Luck had more Talent more Talent than Tom Brady quote Andrew was amazing Dorset said this is via Patriots wire he says I always say this to everybody uh people who ask me because they know I played with Tom and and they were like dang who’s the best quarterback you ever played with and I would say to be honest with you when it comes to Talent it’s Andrew Luck for sure so my first initial reaction to reading that Adam I really wasn’t surprised I thought I would be maybe like taken back or offended or especially right now I am Mr prisoner of the moment for all things and I just watched the Brady retirement at at Gillette and a Brady roast and I mean I got Brady on the brain here but listen I I’m I kind of get it I think Andrew Luck he was like created in a lab to be quarterback he is he is like literally the prototypical quintessential damn near perfect quarterback prospect and that was not Tom Tom Tom got it out of the mud baby he had to earn it and and that’s why we love him but I mean it’s not shocking to hear this sentiment about Andrew Luck how did it land with you because it didn’t surprised me I was surprised Philip Dorset was still in the league to be honest with tra I was I was like Philip Dorsett when did he reti oh he’s still playing like that was my legit legit reaction no disrespect to Philip Dorsett I thought this guy retired years ago yeah so that was number one number two yeah it doesn’t surprise me because we’ve heard this before right when it comes to Tom Brady and the quarterback comparisons and Aaron roders was always the guy that hey you know what Aaron Rogers is the best quarterback in the NFL and he’s got all the talent look at his Mobility look what he could do right and all those so I think you know it just depends on how you define the word talent right is Talent the whole package up here right here or is it just like the the raw athletic ability yeah the ability to throw on the run on a dime that like right like like again like that’s why guys get drafted like Andrew Luck was the number one overall pick right so it’s just like that’s why he got drafted number one overall and Tom Brady didn’t because he didn’t have those tools that skill set to Talent evaluators that’s why Zach Wilson got drafted where he did right because of that Talent right so right the athleticism all of those things so no it it doesn’t surprise me yeah but it’s the same Andrew Luck who came into Foxboro twice during the playoffs and got his ass kicked by Tom Brady right I me right so so I get it’s more than just the quarterback but at the same time it’s like all right well what may maybe your definition of talent isn’t isn’t correct right yeah like maybe you could say you know what Andrew Luck was a better athlete you know Andrew Luck had a stronger arm maybe you can pick it apart but in terms of talent I there’s just so much that goes into that word for me yeah and I can’t just agree you know yeah I think it’s a fair question that I don’t really know the answer to you know the the definition of of talent right I like I think personally I think it’s I think talent I would say Talent are the skills or or is the skill that you can see with with your eye and then intangibles are the skills that you can’t see so when you have a truly great alltime athlete it’s it’s a combo of both right so you you have enough Talent what we can see with our eyes that’s the measurables your size your speed whatever as it pertains to that Sport and then the intangibles of things we can’t see that’s the work ethic how do you uh get along with with your teammates and others uh your coaches things like that are you on time are you dialed in are you locked in those those are things we can’t necessarily see with with the Blind Eye but you know if it’s in you and you have the combo of the two well now we’re talking right now we’re cooking and and that’s why I think Andrew Luck had both quite frankly Tom Brady lacked in one more than the other but he worked on what he lacked at and and that caught up to the intangible and and that’s what we see I mean look you you can speak to this more than me you were you played Sports at a higher level than did I never went beyond a high school but even even my high school experience playing sports I had guys on all the teams I played on I played basketball football and Lacrosse and all three of those teams there were guys who were skipping class didn’t get good grades or getting in trouble suspended academic probation all the time and they could come in and drop 30 on you any day or in football catch touchdowns or in Lacrosse lay you out score goals whatever it was I imagine you’ve encountered the same thing along your path that’s talent but the intangible stuff is what will separate you and and and actually give you I would say maybe Adam like staying power right like so you don’t fizzle out you can be super talented and fizzle out you if you have the intangibles and the other things I talked about I mean you you you may have uh lasting power long enough to where maybe your talent can catch up to that does that make sense yeah it does make sense again you’ve explained it in a way that that definitely makes sense I I would want more from Philip Dorset if I were doing that interview I like well what do you mean yeah by Talent right elaborate do you mean athleticism do you mean are are you breaking down the physical attributes because Philip Dorset played with Andrew luck towards the beginning of his career where he was still learning the quarterback position so maybe that’s what he was talking about because I I would say that some of those intangibles you’re talking about those intangibles evolve into Talent right because knowing and understanding The Playbook is is an intangible that becomes a talent reading defenses is an intangible that becomes a talent right thriving under pressure is an intangible that evolves into being a talent right and so so I think again I think it’s a a semantics uh you know sort of conversation but but at the end of the day I I I think I want more I I want to know more I’m gonna call door set up right now I want I want get him on on the Pod and ask him what he means about that because I’m not quite sure what what ex he exactly meant that’s fair I tell you what I wanted more of I wanted more Andrew Lu in the NFL man I was really in come to think about this now that we’re talking about this this can actually be therapeutic for me I had a ticket Adam I’ll never forget this I had a ticket on the Indianapolis Colts to win the Super Bowl at like 15 to1 uh the before Andrew Luck the offseason where Andrew Luck said I’m going to retire because remember he did it like kind of last second and I was so angry at that time that I didn’t I didn’t care about Andrew Luck retire I didn’t care about the player I was just mad that he was leaving and and I was stuck with this stupid ticket that would never cash without him and now you know reflecting back on it that I’m calmed down and I’m in the city of Champions here I you know I wish we had more Andrew Luck uh as a player cuz he was just so fantastic and he was in a wasteland too I mean the the ownership there with the Colts still there by the way they just did not build around him properly he had he never had an offensive line it’s just a shame that we didn’t get more Andrew Luck I I imagine you feel the same way I do and I was thinking about it as you were talking you know that could have been Brady’s next great rival yeah right you know it could have been because that would have been perfect too right because pton Manning all those years in Indianapolis and then Andrew Luck takes over and it’s sort of like all right Payton couldn’t get done against Tom and indy can Andrew Luck right you know and that would have been a cool storyline to follow but it just didn’t it didn’t materialize Payton went to Denver and got his and then Patrick Mahomes came up on the scene and yep um but it would have been cool to see luck go against momes like all those those matchups that you you could have seen but it just didn’t work out no you’re right and the other thing too about luck he added a wrinkle I guess and now we see it with momes but he haded a wrinkle that that Manning didn’t have because Andrew Luck now some of it it was because he had to run for his life but he could get out of that pocket he could dip on you man and I I I always respected that about him and thought to your point if we could have got Brady and luck for a long time that would have been a weapon that he possessed that he could have used against a Tom Brady is is his legs there so while we’re talking about this let’s just keep it to the NFL cuz we could go all sports here but let’s keep it to the NFL who are some players or a player that you wish had played longer they they retired a little too soon uh for your liking who would who comes to mind for you my guy’s Barry Sanders Barry Sanders was my favorite player growing up so he was you know in Detroit you know late 80s to late 90s seasons and that was right in my wheelhouse of playing football like in Pop Warner you know and then in high school I wor number 20 because I just loved him I tried to be Shifty like him and he was just the greatest I was huge shoulder pants like yeah running around and you know the the one the the memorable moment that I have is a Patriots fan was we playing the Patriots and you’ve seen the clip a million times of course turning around Haron Barnett does like a like a 540 a 360 plus a 180 just like completely spun around by Barry and he his last season in the NFL he had close to 1500 yards rushing he retired at the age of 30 and I know the shelf life on the running back position is a short one but he had more left in the tank and I just wish I got a couple more years of Barry Sanders but um but to me he’s the greatest running back of all time you’re going to laugh at this I hyped him up so much in my house now to my young kids that I convinced them I was showing them YouTube clips and all that and I convinced them to watch the documentary that’s out on him I think it’s on Amazon Prime and I should have known better Adam because he is so boring I I mean for his exciting as he was as a player he when he talks is like watching paint dry and my kids checked out in 20 minutes and I couldn’t be mad because I was like yeah this this doc sucks sorry um I’m gonna go same franchise here I’m going Calvin Johnson yeah and look he he rolled out for the same reason Barry did this team this franchise sucks I’m out and and I get it but man he was so special I remember even going back cuz I have a lot of my closest friends Adam uh they all went to ACC schools I don’t know why but they all did I have Clemson friends I have Florida State friends and I remember hanging out with my Clemson buddies and watching Calvin Johnson at Tech just absolutely abuse the Clemson Corners one year so bad that my friend to this day we still make fun of him he broke his expensive TV he just threw something at it and it was a wrap we didn’t we didn’t finish that game but Calvin Johnson was an absolute Menace in the NFL the same way he was in college one of the most gifted very Randy mosses um and in how he played big physical strong could go Randy Moss hybrid almost which scary bro that’s scary right yeah I know I got another player by the way more all right I just thought Bo Jackson man oh right Bo Bo Jackson like the hip injury he was done but oh man crazy the kids don’t know Trav they don’t know about they they don’t know didly listen they don’t know didly you know what’s crazy Adam we were actually robbed of Bo Jackson in two sports right I know yeah I know yeah and Jim Rice always talks about like Bo Jackson about how like incredible he was Jim played against him you know and and how cool that yeah he like one of the I think it’s one of the furthest baseballs he’s ever seen hit or hardest hit Jimson I believe it man think about that coming from him right right exactly well there’s so many urban legends about Bo Jackson I believe every single one of them I mean that dude and here here’s the other thing you know if he played now I don’t know if he’d be the same explosive player but he could have came back from that injury like Tua had that same injury in Alabama and we see tua’s gone on to have many other injuries but he’s gone on to have you know an NFL career and I think he’s about to get paid so it you know that’s the other part of this is like he didn’t play long enough because of injury but also if he played in today’s era he could still be playing Adam right I know yep uh it’s just you’re just kind of a victim of when you when you played I guess you know that SS I know well I I love going down memory lane with you my friend you know I Barry Sanders Calvin Johnson I’m sure now they’re looking at the Lions and they’re so happy for eight mile they’re so happy for the D and Detroit but at the same time they got to just be like where was this when I was playing because they got their place in Canton though they got their place in Canton they do but this current lion team Adam if you told me they’re in the Super Bowl I would not be shocked for all of our best content of the day make sure you follow us on Facebook X Instagram am your sister from Yemen, and by Allah I only spoke out of hunger and distress. My mother, my brothers, and I lessons and tears. We are in a situation that only God knows about. God is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs for those who brought us to this situation. By Allah Almighty, I did not write this appeal out of distress and distress. Poverty, O world, they have felt it So, I hope for you. By Allah Almighty, Lord of the Great Throne, he ate what I had in the house. By Allah, my brothers, he is my brothers by sitting in the house. Who has no food? By God, we are in a very difficult situation. We have 4 people entering the house, and my father has died, and there is no one who can depend on us and who lives in it.We live in a rented house because we cannot pay the rent we owe. '''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' ''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' ''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' ''''''''''''' My brother, my first words are: I swear to God that I will not lie to you or deceive you. I am a Yemeni girl displaced from the war. My family and I live in a rented house in Al-Shahrab 20,000 Yemenis amongs, and now we owe 60,000 for 3 months. The owner of the house is one of the people who does not have mercy, by God, my brother. He comes every day, insulting us, talking about us, and moving from the house to the street because we were unable to pay him the rent. The neighbors saw us crying and came back. They came back to talk to the neighbors and we were given the weekend. So we made him swear by God. He will take us out into the street. Have mercy on him and us. Our country is due to this war and we do not find food for our day, and my brothers and I live in a difficult life. Our father died, may God have mercy on him, and we have no one in this world who was with us in these harsh circumstances. My younger brothers went out into the street and saw…The neighbors eat and stand at their door in order to give them bread even if they break it. By God, to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth, they closed the door and expelled them and came back crying. They are dying of hunger. No one has mercy on them and a holiday is returned. I have made a living, and now if us helps us with a kilo of flour, I swear to God, I am dying of hunger. My brother, I am an alien to God. Then, I ask you to help me for the sake of God. I ask you, by God, to love goodness and to help me, even if you can, by messaging me on WhatsApp.On this number 00967772168484 and ask for the name of my card and send it and do not be late and may God reward you with all the best, my brothers Sagar, see how they are and help us and save us before they throw us out in the street, you will be lost or we will die of hunger. My family and I ask you, by God, if you are able to help us, do not be late and may God reward you well..`/–~«««~~♡~♡~~~.~~~~……………………..🎉
My theory: Rodgers didn't expect GB to actually trade him and just continue to give him everything he wanted. They said enough is enough but got a chip on his shoulder and went to the only place that would have him while pretending he's actually all in. Rodgers himself said he was "90% retired" and now he's supposedly all in? Yikes
werid ass video lmao all people wanna do is hate on rodgers
