24 Hour Turnberry | What Would You Wear to Play Such an Iconic Golf Course?

Last week I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to play Turnberry, but, there was a catch. I would have to drive there and back from Surrey within 24 hours, that’s a 7 hour drive, twice.

Knowing that I had to make it work because, well, it’s Turnberry, I set about nailing the logistics and getting myself there. Whilst it can be difficult to pick the right hotel, it was going to be even more difficult picking what to wear. As you can imagine, the possibilities are almost endless.

A venue with such a rich history deserved an outfit fitting of that. I always knew a knitwear piece would be a must as well as a fresh pair of FootJoy Premiere Series, so with that being locked in, I set about dialling in the remainder of the outfit. I think it came out pretty good. The contrast of the bottle green Lightweight Trousers by Macade Golf and the navy in the RLX sweater really bring in the whole look together.

Fortunately the golf was good, the course was awesome and the company was great. The perfect 24 hours.

I feel like all good Vlog videos start in the car so uh guys we have a very long journey ahead tomorrow we’re playing turnbury highest ranked golf course I would have ever played I’m absolutely buzzing but we’ve got to get there first and unfortunately we’re driving check out my route so guys this is the route as you can see from the one length of the country up to Scotland we got to get cracking so come with me we’ll check out Hotel the hotel is going to be questionable but yeah let’s uh see how we get on what’s your best service station on the route up to up north let me know down in the comment section down below but guys let’s [Music] go so guys we uh we went for the uh the slightly healthier option could have smashed a uh KFC we could have smashed a Burger King instead we got the salad so uh well pasta not salad pasta [Music] salad taking a little break from the driving guys and uh yeah turn over tomorrow cannot wait it’s going to be epic but got to get some fuel inside us got to charge the phone so uh so yeah I’m going to crack on with this stuff and uh I will see you probably next time I’ll see you be at the hotel [Music] guys that was a long ass drive but no laying up boys keeping me uh keeping me Will and truly entertained so uh yeah uh finally made it we are uh we’re in Scot by the way I’ve just actually seen what is this this is a practice session we might have to uh might have to clean that little bad boy up tomorrow ahead of tomorrow’s around so um guys obviously as I’ve already uh spoken to you about playing turn Bri tomorrow this is the the highest ranked golf course that I would have ever had the chance of playing which I’m very very excited about so um this all came about uh friend of mine um will Jones when I was working at pxg got to know him a little bit few content shoots that sort of stuff uh and so uh he put out on his Instagram that he had a spare space going and it was with a guy uh couple of guys from nickon um and I was like dude let me see if I can make that work like if I can get up to turn Bri and play I I would absolutely love that if I can get involved so uh logistically we made it all work and um so yeah I’m I’ve driven up today playing tomorrow morning teing up at 9:26 I’m going to bring you guys along with me try and share as much of the experience as possible but yeah te off at 9:26 I need to do a bit of practice before we play cuz I’m hitting it horrifically at the moment so that’s we’re very much in need of of hitting some balls beforehand and also cleaning clubs as well uh so yeah that’s uh going to have some food afterwards and then got to do the drive all the way back home all 6 hours and 6 and a half hours whatever it is uh on the way back tomorrow afternoon so it’s a flying visit but it’s going to be worth it to um yeah to play turnbury and yeah it’s yeah it’s a very very cool Unity the previous highest ranked course I think I’ve played was um was Ro doruk which was insane and and everything that people have told me about turn bre that it’s just absolutely Mega so I can’t wait but it is currently half past 10 just gone half past 10 I’ve got about a 5:30 6:00 alarm I’m going to be one of these people who gets their stupidly early but it’s turn pry man like I got get I’ve got to get there early taking the whole experience so uh yeah let’s uh start getting changed get ready for bed hit the pillow and I guess uh I’ll see you guys bright and early tomorrow morning before I sign off I thought I’d uh give you a little look around the uh around the room this is this is the days in this is 55 quid for the night is about as basic as a room gets I haven’t even been in the bathroom yet it’s it’s pretty acceptable I think it’s fine what’s up people get her at 11:00 leave at 600 I’m not paying loads for a room so uh so yeah that being said that’s a room tour see you in the [Music] morning good morning people it’s very early just got half five we got to get the outfit out now I don’t know about you guys um but uh when I’m playing somewhere fancy and today’s fancy uh I like to dress up for the occasion I know that’s not for everyone i’ like to bring out my best gear so I show you what I’m wearing show you what you got on today now we do have the chance of some inclement weather coming in which makes me very very sad so there is a chance that you might not see any well I might not get a chance to really wear any of this and it’s going to be full waterproofs which is going to suck so hopefully that’s not the case hopefully it stays at Bay but before I hop in the shower and get ready let’s show you what we’ve got on today so okay let’s get the bag going okay we have the green green mcade trousers these things absolutely fire the color is epic dumper the camo joint I’ll give you a little better look at this cuz the lighting in here is absolutely horrific thought I’d do it by a window it’s not light enough but uh that’s the jumper oh man the colors just polo shirt I’ve got a juice basically every time I wear this particular jumper it’s Navy and it’s a crew neck I always wear this blade collor juice underneath it just it sits just really really nice and then we do have some alternate going on we do have some Navy trousers as well should I put it all together and think that that’s not a Vibe and last but not least guys we’ve got the uh we’ve got the socks we’ve got the stance icon sport socks these things spoken about them before multiple videos before they are awesome so uh that’s the fit man I hope there’s a belt in here somewhere yeah there is a belt in here somewhere matching Navy belt boss belt said to you guys before if you follow me on Instagram invest in a good belt these things I’ve had for a bazillion years they what it’s look good I need to get in a shower this is very much the fit I’m very much still to sleep green trousers and then we got some Premier series to go I freaking absolutely love this jumper this jumper is so sick all the details unreal but yeah guys let me uh let’s get all packed up and uh get in the car and uh yeah I’ll see you there guys we made it we are in the clubhouse this place is absolutely look at just look at the view behind me this Clubhouse is absolutely incredible just about to uh to get grab a coffee and uh yeah get a bit of food going then we’re going to start loosening up and uh hitting some balls and uh hopefully we stay dry weather forecast is not good so fingers crossed we stay dry but uh yeah this is uh this is mental I’m uh I’m beyond excited to play so I’ll I’ll show you a little bit of the food that uh that we’ve got and uh yeah drive over was unbelievable as well views for days that is Serious Coffee that’s very very good look at this guys just check out this Clubhouse this Clubhouse is just absolutely insane So Pro Shop is down there let’s go and uh let’s go have a little look see what I’ve got so guys the uh the shop is uh insane they got so much in here this is uh one of my one of my favorite sections I’m definitely coming back here to uh to pick up got one of these probably when we’re done but also another of my favorite sections you know you know your boy like some uh some RLX hello how nice is that with the uh with the Terry logo on there yeah they got a few other bits as well what do we think do we think we can rocks and flowers might be a little bit much for for me but guys the yeah the shop is incredible so I mean it’s probably one of the biggest shops that I think I’ve ever seen there’s literally everything that you could possibly want in here and more so let a have a little walk over to the [Music] shoes yeah okay I see I see new tour 36s these are uh these are really clean I need to get my hands on a pair of these for sure but we got some MC 80s here telling you guys super slept on shoe more more love needs to be given to uh to those but uh yeah some foot drawers over here little spoiler this is what we’re uh we’ve got we got these today we’re rocking these today I can’t wait but so yeah guys that is the uh that’s the shop I might uh might pick a little head cover up and uh yeah we are we’re going to go and uh hit some balls now loosen up I’m going to put the camera away cuz it’s supposed to rain and yeah we’ll hopefully see you out there guys that is the uh outfit complete golf fashion guy hat got the Gile on jumper and then the shoes shoes of choice I’m ready for this all right I’m going to put the camera back in the car because uh we’re going to get wet and uh yeah I’ll see you guys in a little bit I know so guys we are uh we’re two holes in bogey the first birdie the uh the second um this is uh this is awesome out here the golf course is uh is absolutely Mega so far you kind of as you get walking you kind of get glimpses of the uh of the holes up coming but uh yeah we got great group as well we’re flying what a golf shot that is isn’t it the most annoying thing in the world when you uh when you get to a hole that looks absolutely insane and then you end up left rough left rough left rough lost ball and don’t even see it it’s uh little frustrating so this might be one of the coolest walks to a te guys ever look at this this is absolutely incredible back to the clubhouse the world’s biggest flag don’t quote me that might not be the world’s biggest flag guys this par three behind me there oh my God it’s incredible look at that look how good that looks the rain has started not sure how much more we’re going to be able to cover I’m feeling a one fell good pretty good take it we are aboard we’re not playing from this to guys but uh this is like 240 got got the lighthouse there and look at the panoramic around this tea this is just yeah I think we’re going to walk up to the ferv but this is insane guys we’ve made the executive decision we are having a uh a little wand to a te slightly further forward me was there if the me yeah if the M was there we could crack on but I think uh I I I’ll play forward I’ll play forward you guys you guys have a well yeah we’re going to we’re going to go under to the front SE oh there’s no there’s no t- markers down there feel like it’s a little bit uh little bit cheeky but it’s a cool looking shot and I don’t need to lose a golf ball so there we go absolute pure lovely shot so you’re filming horizontal for another just epic part five the views around this place are insane guys we’re uh we’re trying to keep up with pace of play but when every hole looks like this so difficult to play in a timely manner so uh yeah this is just wow get onto every T box and just say wow green is down there isn’t it this is just like a just straight yeah don’t miss it right or left that’s a great sh that’s bad luck when you’re here hit yeah I’ve it what you having mate I’m having butter buttermilk Burger looks really good this two buttermilk burgers and then two regular Burgers yeah with avocado it’s nice symmetry isn’t it we’re back in the car day done at ter unbelievable what an experience um just really really cool golf course superb I’d like to we played it off the four T’s I’d like to play a little bit further back uh if I if I could I could come back um I would definitely do that but uh but yeah unbelievable service everything top draw we now have a very long drive 940 arrival we got 388 mil to go wish me luck I’ll see you
