Welcome to our 2024 rookie dynasty fantasy football draft for the Couch Empire league! This is a 5-round, SuperFlex, PPR linear draft. An empire league is the same as a dynasty league, except if a champion wins back to back years, the league resets and we draft all over again.

welcome to the 2024 rookie draft of the fantasy couch Empire league if you don’t know what an Empire league is it’s the same thing as a dynasty League except the champion that wins backto back if that ever does happen the league resets and we draft all over again so it adds a little bit of urgency and a little bit more spice than I thought so this league is very fun it’s one of my favorite leagues and uh I’m going to be recording some drafts and uploading the videos and this is one of them won’t be doing a lot of regular videos anymore as you guys know uh but I want to go through everyone’s team just really quick introduce uh your team name and maybe where you finished last year if you’re a rebuilding team or a win now team just really quick we’ll go through the round table I don’t know where I finished last year seems like I finished second to last but I got the first pick second pick and third pick and I’m fully rebuilding hoping to be in contention Within a year or two if I hit these draft picks uh my team name is fantasy couch so uh Ben go ahead your team number one and then we’ll just go through everybody introduce themselves really quick okay so uh my team name is Field of Dreams uh I finished 12th last year we’re obviously in a full rebuild um yeah that’s pretty much it I’ve got a few first round picks in 2025 mostly later picks in this draft so when I say say team name I meant like uh the name that appears on the video on the screen so your whole whatever the hell that is PA Ben you know whatever I can never read I’m highlighting it Cole Bell knock B knock B knock sure I used to have a friend who would ask a fantasy advice on the sleeper platform so I changed my name uh to give him bad advice way back and I haven’t changed it since it’s a good bad it’s genius I’m number two and then we got credibles he’s not here he’s uh what time is it for 5 AM something like that 523 a he’s team three I don’t know what his what’s his anybody know what his deal is definit yeah but he’s doesn’t have a lot of other undecisive undecided TBA Team Four got the seventh overall y SC the beardless Scot uh I am in a definite reconstructing leaning towards youth but uh hoping to still compete but we’ll see uh team is reinstate Bovi Wade gonna have a little B y’ just say the just say the name that’s on the screen that’s what I meant by team we don’t oh yeah just so they know who we’re talking about yeah yeah we don’t team name I am team Jim Jean I finished eight and I am screwed [Laughter] not true you have many picks in the first round sir that’s facts that’s fact he’s keeping it real almost made me spit out my drink Team Six think that’s right been a slight rebuild um I only have need couple pieces to compete so looking to get them on this draft team seven oh I am the Amir 36 I am team seven I am competing I finished seventh or no no I finished sixth last year I apologize and if you want to trade up I’m the guy to do business with and he’s Albert Einstein’s grandson and I’m Albert Einstein’s grandson open for business team eight shanane sorry okay so I guess my name on here is who’s the brain for some reason no no no Dynasty day tra oh my God people not getting this I did it well the name that’s on the on the draft the draft that’s what I that’s what I me Dynasty I had a pretty interesting turn where you know I was I took over an orphan team so I started porting draft picks and then you know one day I I had a little layover on a flight so I uh I called my team to layover makeover I converted all those picks and now I’m win now baby so let’s let’s try to take this thing down yeah no picks no picks as of now trades are open the trade windows are trades are open 211 and 303 are available we have Team nine uh Drew Edgars Andrew Edgars he was the favorite to win last year everyone thought the league was over he was going to repeat uh but that didn’t happen he finished third place he’s not going to be on the call till like 20 minutes later um you can win this year though Drew that’s okay with me Michael yeah and then 10 all right um my name is Colin W mayor um seems like finished I think either third or fourth last year right here was third but I’m not even sure I think get fourth cuz uh I think Drew kept his his pay money he didn’t pay fees so I think third yeah I think you finish fourth maybe yeah I think yeah something like that um I’m going all in I’m looking to take down tragic this year um headlined by Tua Tyreek and jayen W so that’s pretty much it you sent me a trade a few hours ago but I won’t tell what it was Tyreek and Wadd holy crap W Dophin back oh baby has aan if you want him Mike a little bit uh Mike matal team money matal came in second last year um had to start Jake browny and Flaco in the finals cuz all my quarterbacks got hurt that’s not bad though I know they did okay got two second round picks and uh win now ready to win my first uh championship this year Andrew hot miking a little bit tragic Mike the champion oh yes I am uh Team tragic Mike double Xs and I finished I think it was Champion but yeah we’ll go with that and I can’t remember I don’t think so yeah no he’s champ something like that I’m pretty sure was yeah but yeah looking to looking to repeat and reset the league so moving and shaking to get things done was supposed to be me was supposed to be me two years ago or last year 2500 points exactly oh I wanted to say that some of the too I forgot some of the settings so it’s Empire league we know that this is a rookie draft we know that five rounds linear draft this is a 12 team super Flex full PPR um a slow draft is little more professional a lot of people doing slow drafts but we like to hop on a live call and have fun so uh but we also don’t want to hinder any trade so what’s going to happen is the first round’s GNA be five minutes per pick second round three minutes per pick rest of the draft two minutes per pick Gentlemen’s Agreement though if like don’t take much longer than you need to if you you kind of know who you’re going to pick get pause for a trade but yeah but to not hinder any trades anybody gets three pauses so you can pause yeah we made it three just so there’ be no like that’s basically no limit so if you need to negotiate you need to DM somebody um you got three pauses so that should be that’s kind of Overboard that should be plenty to get any type of negotiation or trade done but we’re all cool here like we all have a gentleman’s agreement we’re not going to be just pausing and wasting time it’s going to be to possibly make a trade and that’s it I think you start the draft the Scot’s going to be the official timer and I’m gonna have him do all the clicking and stuff so we we all ready guys let’s go let’s do it here we go we want to hear call has spoken boys waiting months for this I got the first pick second pick third pick and the 10th and 11th pick let’s hope you pick the right people this time breake May one overall let’s go do it let the draft begin is it started oh there we go wow are you gonna like stall or you just do it like no no I’m gonna pick I’m gonna pick so uh and I have the first three picks so I could pick in any order but this is the order I wanted to put out there as far as my rankings go so I just changed my team name so goodbye Trey Lance used to be uh Trey Lance a lot and say uh hello and welcome Queen SLB Williams new team name baby Queen of Chicago love it queen of queen of chicag queen queen of the NFL maybe soon uh not if obj has anything say about oh man uh number two I’m gonna go with uh future Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison Jr what a draft what a draft my God uh a lot of people wanted this pick and you know it might be kind of dumb I didn’t trade it for just a really good solid player but I got my mindset you know I missed on Anthony Richardson and I kind of regret on that and I think jayen Daniels is a better Prospect than him so uh I’m going to go Jaden Daniels and I’m not going to miss twice on you know next phenomenal UM quarterback yeah russan quar yeah ton of ton of fantasy points right there so I’m going uh jayen Daniels here gol clip golf clip very nice thanks for giving me a rich well I’m next and um I’m G pick Malik oh neighbors who I think is not far from Marvin Harrison when it comes to Talent so you didn’t see the videos you didn’t see the videos after he got picked no I didn’t know I yeah I didn’t think he did yeah I wouldn’t worry about it too it’s funny though so first video he’s really upset he got picked by the Giants in the second video he calls his quarterback jiel don’t but I learned not to read too much into like little silly things like that yeah all right Jones won’t be there that long don’t worry only one noisy neighbors before the draft neighbors neighbors might be able to we’ll see nah they’re trying to get rid of that guy as fast as they can yeah how do we get rid of Daniel Jones that’s the name of the game they got it’s a new regime and they went through the entire draft without drafting a single quarterback not even like a de developmental it’s it kind of says something yeah w know Daniel Jones never really passed though like like never really you’re not wrong but hey similar stats to Trevor Lawrence Mr highest paid player really yep yep fewer interceptions I believe yeah or no I think it was the same yeah anyways uh yeah missing out on neighbors and the top quarterbacks uh it’s easy to overvalue quarterback in a super league but uh I’m not going to Flinch there’s a clear tier Gap and I’m going to take radun who’s your quarterback SC I have Joe burrow and will Levis those my two starting Joe Flo and Browning Brown backup so I have the insurance yeah you’re not horrible at quarterback yeah Jean who are your quarterbacks yeah Jean nobody worth discussing I think we can do the research on that though I’m starting Aiden and Zack Wilson Aiden OK Connell ma Jones Zack Wilson Trey Lance and pushing the max limit your quarterback limit was Sam Hal as yourh fifth stram it’s not pretty Sam how might be your best bet start out of those last ones go over the limit with this pick you only have five quarterbacks ta yeah they can go into the taxi yeah we ruled that the taxi uh doesn’t go against your quarterback oh no no it’s fine I’m not saying like you’re gonna like get executed as soon as he saying you’re out The League no no I’m not saying’s I’m just saying we gota live five and he might be going a little overboard yeah not not saying it’s okay to do as much as I more of a projection pick there that’s like hoping our league lasts another year and doesn’t get reset a little bit now uh that’s not I’m gonna win good you say that every draft uh yeah hoping the Raiders get a nice upgraded quarterback next year oh Xavier worthy yeah yeah okay so uh this is funny so tragic Mike put in the chat like so I just traded up for the 10th overall 11th overall then he put like oh you know you’re expecting your guys to fall but they might not and I was like all right bro that’s not going to happen then he got me thinking and then had me doing calculus for like six hours straight and having anxiety it was so weird so I was doing the math but when I traded up I did do the math first I did like about nine to 10 players not including m and may did some research that no way like those two guys aren’t going to get picked so they got picked and like I said so including if you include them I like 11 to 12 players so um just the math itself I got the players I wanted here um one’s a bit risky but has a good upside so uh my first guy that I really like um who I’m I myself think is risky but I think the upside just through the roof um is Keon Coleman um that’s the reason I traded up the number one reason I TR no way so I’m taking Keon Coleman a little bit of risk but the upsides there yeah be number one for the bills honestly I feel like he’s one of those players that’s better like watching game tape than it is like measurable like he’s I feel like he’ll play better tested yeah no 40 time yeah so yeah I mean for sure um I it’s like Puka Puka tested horribly but when you watch him on tape like in games he’s definitely yeah yeah I just yeah wellon Coleman to me I feel like he’s a better Prospect than Drake London but I was wrong about like Drake London I I feel like he a better player than I thought so that’s just I mean that’s my feelings but I do know the risk for sure and then the next guy I mean right here it was going to be either Xavier worthy or Bowers if I didn’t expect them to fall um so the next one the next reason I kind of traded up was because of Brian Thomas I think the talents there um Trevor Lawrence little bit of a disappointment but overall I still think he’s good and so um it’s going to be Brian Thomas here trying to get my I don’t just need a wide receiver one I need a wide receiver two as well for the rebuild so good foundation now now the draft begins really I thought it began like a pick four or something now dra has now it has begun now we have no idea what you could do it again you have to I think you have to come on doing the math here Jean has not the very next pick at 2.01 but Jean has this pick at 12 then he has 2.02 so and then also 2.04 2.04 as so he’s gonna be doing some math here you know let’s say if he likes two or three players you know he knows that one or one or two might fall to him it’s a little math you had me freaking out though tragic Mike off that one comment it was so I was like hell no I was like I’m good bro like why would I trade up and not know and then I’m like wait wait how about if Drake May doesn’t get pick what do I do like I kind of I kind of thought uh credibles was going to take bers a little bit but he also needs quarterbacks but he he kind of needs a lot why does nobody like Drake may I actually think he’s good got more ceiling than McCarthy I believe ithy I wouldn’t say nobody likes Drake may he doesn’t get past the seventh overall pick like I don’t I I wouldn’t say nobody likes him that’s the lowest yeah you’re saying he’s a little bit more underrated is that I mean I I don’t I don’t understand anyone who would pick McCarthy over him he’s way better than he’s on McCarthy has a guy named Justin Jefferson imagine if Justin Jefferson was on the Patriots that’s it done it’s done we’re picking Drake may like it’s not even they don’t have Justin Jefferson though dog they don’t have uh Jordan Addison either and they don’t have TJ Hawkinson like that’s why Hunter Henry is not dog me I mean or dog water compared dog what’s T.J Hawkinson the the second best tight end in fantasy and Titan preum he was one I believe for a hot minute while he was healthy last year I mean that’s I think that’s a big difference from Hunter Henry yep yeah and then the rest of the receivers uh didn’t Minnesota add another tight end to Harry yeah that that’s not a legit but Hees the team if he actually makes the team move to I mean he’s not going to be playing much I’m I’m going to fact check that not making they if somehow he makes the team he will vulture Red Zone targets that’s just nille Harry how that’s gonna work stop making happening it’s not happening no it shouldn’t happen it shouldn’t happen but we’ve seen weirder things it’s not happening I mean Google says he’s a wide receiver he’s a tight end I believe I need the news though yeah even coach said that like he’s happy about the change all right I’m thinking about the pick but I’m I’m going to double down on a position that I really need bonix at 1.12 I am taking bonix quarterback smart smart pick nice Jean did you hear he’s looking good in uh whatever they’re doing practice it’s all right I got bonu and Zack Wilson so somebody’s somebody’s got to show something I’ve seen Zack Wilson play I’ve seen him play too I had nille Harry is tight end but I like how the I like how this blurp put it as in like he’s trying tight end because like he’s a failure at everything so they’re just give it’s a tight end experiment we all know sometimes experiments like all the chemicals fall on the ground and just you got to just clean it up with a rag a dirty rag a dirty mop throw it away dispose of it properly that’s who I was gonna get with the 2011 you got screwed traed up there’s another quarterback available I’m not touching that guy um I’m G have to go with mcon not a bad nice that’s a good pick he usually goes first that’s who I would have picked actually that’s who I would have picked at 12 I think I’m still good at wide receivers so so that’s why I didn’t really take one I got some young Talent looking at my players now yeah you need a quarterback that’s the I think that’s yeah had to synopsis yeah I think that’s the main plot for YouTube there’s two players I want here and I got another pick 204 Sam darnold has untapped potential waiting to be tapped and projected to be qb1 and he’s on my team and for sale just me laugh every time I’m just reading what I’m just reading what the what the news the rumors say I saw Train yeah yeah I don’t blame you that’s now Sam darnold to me doesn’t look bad when he’s not playing for the wor absolute worst team in the NFL when he’s not playing for the Panthers at Jets he didn’t look he don’t look that bad did he look good as your guys backup last year he didn’t look that great he didn’t look that great playing for one of the best teams in the NFL either what team is that yours he was fine what he didn’t play that much he was was he did fine I mean Brock py played like what are you talking about like I didn’t see Sam darnold in the Super Bowl pre-season he was fine he won the qb2 job I’m not gonna pause just yet but 202 is on the Block if anybody wants to send anything or message I’ll listen for a quick minute it’s not like I said I got two players here I’m G to debate over if anybody wants a 202 raise your hand anybody’s interested chewy that would be so sick if the W Ro Rose his hand right now you know the Atlanta Falcons tweeted about their new quarterback and spelled his name wrong you know that right Jean the Falcons new quarterback the one they draft they spelled his last name wrong you didn’t see that poor guy they don’t love him enough just a it was just a typo it happens instead of an X they put an S by the way if you guys didn’t see it see what do you we they they spelled their new quarterback’s name wrong instead of a x they put a s they got the Michael and the junior right but they got his last name you you didn’t see that the Falcon official Twitter tweeted that you gotta be kidding me no I’m not someone got fired all right can you hit the wait that happened and I didn’t see it yeah it’s for real yeah I’m not joking you send that to me got her second p I Google it Falcons Twitter Michael Drew I sent you an offer you just Googled it it’s there is that the I put it in the chat I just Googled yeah it’s all over the place I didn’t see it yet [Laughter] that’s so funny yeah those big news I can’t believe nobody knew about this I know about all the pivot which is okay because I like the players in this range is I have a guess I have a guess who you’re gonna put just a guess though no I don’t think you know this is gonna be a actually you’re right I don’t know it’s between I think it’s between two players but it’s a GU no I’m gonna get my guy here because then once I do this locks me into two options with the next pick so I’m playing uh Jonathan Brooks oh my Lord what that was my guess so I mean you know okay you win BR you win y but I I did think the other guy would have been what is happening yo what is happening right now yeah
