[Music] all right it’s 7:38 time for a daily morning bright spot and Keith mcgil is joining us now with how the Miracle League of Northern Connecticut is making a difference you’re out there on the uh the golf course yesterday Mia for the last 24 hours but no compl tumblebrook it was great Miracle League of Northern Connecticut having their fourth annual golf tournament out in the course history more than 100 golfers record year for them which is phenomenal we raised more than $28,000 which is just Rockstar money and it’s all going to go to providing opportunities for people of any all abilities to play all kinds of sports and to stay active uh they paired me up with the golf pro I’m not sure why that lovely lady there Shelby Brock meller uh she outd drove 100 of 104 golfers which was good to see the team from the yard goats was there Jeff denafo part of our organizing committee and a lot of other great folks that’s awesome um it is amazing to see people be generous right they step up and make these incred donations uh some with personal connections others do not but when these parents are sharing the experiences that their kids have had as part of this organization is just remarkable for many of them um without this Miracle League opportunity their kids simply of varying abilities would not have the opportunity to engage in so much of what we grew up loving baseball softball gymnastics you name it and since this Project’s Inception it has just grown tremendously and so quickly right yes especially Miracle League of Northern Connecticut they put in a new nearly million dooll baseball field in Vernon when you’ve been following that from the start and how quickly did that like in three years or less under three years they said they’re going to raise a million bucks ra the money Lu and they did so it is remarkable now they’re already raising money to make sure that the field is maintained and restoring that sort of thing all right
