freaking first cut golly welcome to the first cup podcast I’m Rick gaming and this is your recap for this week’s Us open joining me to break it all down Patrick McDonald is here Patrick hello I’m still looking for words I I I literally just wrote a couple thousand of them and I don’t have any that was an unbelievable tournament an unbelievable finish it it’s it hasn’t really sunk in yet it was it is very firmly in the instant classic Department Greg du charm is here Greg this so I mean just to zoom out Pinehurst was awesome all week the crowds were awesome all week from the start we had Patrick Klay Rory melroy in contention Bryson gets into the mix Colin is around the leaderboard going into Sunday was nuts and it did not disappoint there was heartbreak there was despair there was Triumph and it all came down to the very end that that is that is an instant classic if um I you know I would be in the same position as Patrick and completely at a loss for words if if I didn’t have a go-to shot uh which I rely on in situations like this and that is simply what a week never has it never has it been more true buttercut yeah 275 down the middle right a little over the top leave the face open it’s going to be in play okay what a week that was uh it was thrilling I feel happy I feel devastated all at the same time time I I it’s one of those times where you’re watching a tournament and you don’t know what’s going to happen and and very often especially as often as we follow golf you you know somebody’s GNA fold based on who they are and what they’ve done and what their history is and there are so many times when you know the leader is going to close it out and and this is one of those cases where I I just had no clue how this was going to play out and it was literally until the last moment that it was uh that that it all kind of settled in and it still hasn’t sunk in yet for me either but I’m excited to talk about it nonetheless I genuinely don’t know where to start or how to approach doing this sometimes we go chronologically sometimes we just start with the winter and work our way down I don’t know we might have to do a little bit of of both here uh Bryson D Shambo the 2020 US Open Champion started the day three shots clear and and all I asked for all I asked for Greg last night was at some point was at some point for Rory mle Roy and Bryson D Shambo to be tied I got that wish uh it was it was right around the turn because Rory was two under through 10 and Bryson was even then bid 12 that was kind of and and and Rory birdie 12 so so that that was that was what I asked for what happened after that I couldn’t fathom but at least we got the wish it was not a runaway win it was far from a runaway win and I mean you had a couple wishes Rick um one would have been very cool if it played out it’s a tournament director’s nightmare which is the reshuffle at the turn this is the perfect opportunity for the reshuffle at the tur who don’t don’t don’t do my boy Patty ice dirty like that or French grit Factory Matthew Pavone just Pavone plays as a single and put those three together in the final group oh man um it was just it was thrilling and and look Rory’s putter made this happen and Bryson’s driver made this happen which was a fascinating combination because Bryson’s not able to get it close to the hole because he’s driving everything into the right native area um he’s getting good breaks and he’s getting a club on the ball but he’s not able to really attack whole locations the driver was not a weapon in this round and Rory’s putter was a weapon he makes a 20f footer at the at the very first Hole uh makes a nice 15-footer at nine another 25-footer at 10 and and all of a s another 20 footer and Rory’s putter which is want to say he has one weakness it could be that it’s surging and it’s carrying him to the top of the leaderboard at the very same time Bryson’s strength his driving is is has left him and he can’t find a fairway and it’s pulling him down and all of a sudden you have this Duel of Rory mroy and Bryson Des Shambo which Rick is exactly what you asked for and you got it in an extremely thrilling way I I did and Patrick the the story for the first 12 or 13 holes Greg is Right Bryson cannot sniff a fairway he’s drawing some some good some bad lies out of the native area it puts him on defense and he is riant on his short game to survive this I mean the up and down that he had from eight on eight was absolutely B I mean just just no chance in the world to get up and down from there and he D I mean the the the Big Bopper is being saved by the shortest clubs in his back that that was an alltime reaction a as well it’s like he turned it kind of reminded me of Justin Rose at the Ridder cup the first day uh this year when he made the putt to tie the match late and then he pointed to all the Euros going you you you it felt like Bryson did that to the crowd after he knocked in I think it was an 11f footer he was like just giving it to him it was awesome but like you said the the driver was really bad a lot of Misses I think primarily to the right they were all to the right they all kind of just hung out there and he switched his driver head we haven’t even talked about that he flattened the face on the driving range had to put in a new driver head presumably the same but this is guy who thinks in in some respect it probably is true that his equipment is a real Advantage he talks about how his equipment can work on this stage and how important that is and we saw that at the Masters and then we saw it again at the PGA Championship then he’s talking about his irons and the Bulge we’re talking about the battle at the Bulge pretty much with his irons where they don’t get too far offline you add in the crank driver as well and then you add in the putter which he’s had forever and he legitimately thinks and he and maybe prove today that he has the best equipment at least for himself better than everyone else and so sorry so when you throw that Wrinkle in there immediately ahead of the final round of a US Open it takes a lot of mental fortitude to get over he is he definitely has the most customized and personalized equipment on the PGA tour a lot of these guys use stuff that you can’t get off the shelf but he literally I mean crank literally like exists because he I think he funds it or at least like partially funds it and they create uh special stuff for him now Greg I actually my hot take on this is I do I do not actually think him changing the driver head was that big of a deal so I think he goes actually know he goes through these a lot and there’s a reason he carries three backups with him at all times and he didn’t change anything else it was not like it was a different Shaft or anything I I do not believe that was why he was missing fies I just think he was missing fies well if um if I had my TSR and we’re not to the GT yet from Titleist but if I had my tsr2 cave in and had to put another one in play it wouldn’t really be that big of a deal as long as it’s the same shaft same Loft same driver head oh it’s good to go but if it’s going to affect anybody it may be Bryson to Shambo um and I I have always found it strange but I do think there’s something to it rick where you have um players have broken a driver or um you know something has happened they put a new driver in play and it takes them a long time to kind of figure it out and and get it together at least over a long period of time for one round you think it you think just the driver head wouldn’t be that of a deal I agree with you but it does seem like it is a big deal Ben Hogan would talk about it that’s in a day and age where you can’t manufacture anywhere near the way you can now but Dustin Johnson has gone through this before where he had to get a new driver and it just didn’t really work Xander Schley when his driver didn’t pass the uh CT test at the open and all of a sudden it’s a little finicky um yeah Josh says Colin and the um in the chat same deal so I I do think there’s some evidence to support that it makes a difference even though it it doesn’t really I understand your take from an outsider’s view it certainly doesn’t seem like it’d be that big of a deal either way he cannot find the short grass all the while Patrick Rory mroy is hooping everything immediately out of the gate he rolls one in on number one for birdie then he goes on that stretch right where uh he starts to take over with birdies on N9 10 12 and 13 adding along the way uh solid par saves the ability to get up and down Rory mroy is playing final round major championship golf like we have NE have not seen him play in a very long time outside the mess on number five his short game his chipping and pitching was incredible today it was brilliant the variety in it the soft touch adding spin when he needed to him and him and KL put a clinic on side by side it was really fun to watch that Birdie on 13 put him at eight under in regulation eight under two-stroke lead obviously Bry and Des Shambo had not played 13 which was moved up today driveable which I mean one 180 ball speed with the three wood for Bryson on that hole which is absolutely Bonkers but he gets to Aid under Rick he has a two-stroke lead with five holes to play makes a nice par save pause there Patrick Rory mroy 3,000 some odd days since his last major championship victory has a two-shot lead with five to go and everything is working okay just to just to it’s unbelievable it’s just unbel it’s about to happen it’s about to happen Patrick and then I I I don’t understand the shot selection into 17 or uh into 15 sorry the par three he went Rory mroy hits it maybe as high as anyone in the world and you have a pin where if you want to get it on the surface 30 feet middle of the green like we saw Bry and Des Shambo do you have to hit it high he goes low it was inexplicable I did not understand it at all and he goes along rolls up into the wire grass chips it to 30 feet makes a bogey okay Bryson behind him makes the birdie on 13 and it’s it was that shot selection there we’ll obviously talk about the Finish as well I’ll give Greg and you some time because I’m still kind of chewing on that one but the the shot selection into 15 I I truly did not understand Greg what did you think about this because this is the this is the Turning Point spoiler alert it’s gonna get a lot worse for Rory mroy here in in a few minutes but this this is the turning point from a guy who looks Unstoppable to oh the the door was a jar and now it’s halfway open again um yes I I’m not sure this was the turning point and we’ll get there but it’s important every shot’s important and Rick this goes back to what we talked about yesterday with Pavone and his strategy and while all the sides of Pinehurst run away long is worse in just about every case right long is bad and short is typically okay so when you’re in that situation where you’re in between clubs and you don’t know whether you should hit a full full everything you got eight on or a smooth lower flighted by the way a flighted seven iron ferar is 130 feet in the air uh but a flighted seven iron you take the you take less Club because short is better than long H high is better than low and it’s very difficult to control the golf ball when it lands on the green when you decide to hit a low shot so that was a mistake um it Le it goes back into the wire grass and he gets a terrible lie which is another thing that seemed to happen to Rory mroy countless times throughout the day anytime he hit it in The Wire Grass he got an awful lie and it seemed the opposite for Bryson which look that’s not why this Championship went the way it did but um I do think it’s important to point out the lie that uh Rory got on on five on it after his second shot just terrible hit the same shot as can’t lay he ends up with nothing um there on 15 ends up with a piece of wire grass directly behind his ball he’s got nothing 18 right behind a piece of wire grass nothing it was like every time he hit it in there it it was the worst possible lie um so that was unfortunate again it’s not why I lost this golf tournament but um but it was unfortunate mroy makes bogie on 15 D Shambo misses a 4 foot 3 in putt a three jack on 15 they both bogey 15 Rory still holds the lead going into the final three we’re going to talk about those final three we’re going to put this into historical context and we’ve got a lot more to do but first we’re going to take a quick break and hear a word from our partners there are some things in life that you can’t quite explain an extraordinary story maybe it sounds Flawless looks effortless or makes you feel like a part of History the first ever goal for BFC and when all of those phenomenons come together sop it’s perfect Pitch Perfect and we’re back the 16th hole Rory melroy hits a 349 yard Drive down the middle of the Fairway Rory mroy hits 189 yard shot to 24 feet middle of the green Rory mroy lags it up there to two feet six inches he goes to clean it up for par Patrick and he whiffs it and he missed three Jack from 20 4 feet 11 in including one from 2 and A2 feet to card his second straight Bogey and if the door was half open before it is wide open now yeah there there’s there’s nothing really to add to it except you miss a two and a half footer on the 69th hole of the US Open he played the whole perfectly perfectly the the shot he hit into 16 is the shot he needed into 15 right it’s like a full B what did he hit a hit like a nineiron or pitching wedge full boore way up in the air nine had nine iron full boore lands in the dead center of the green it’s exactly what Rory has talked about this like and and we have talked about it on this podcast many times in Majors you got to flush it to 30 feet and you got to rip it with your irons to 30 feet in so many situations and he he does it it’s perfect and and then what what like I don’t I don’t speechless I’m speechless too you miss it I honestly thought when three puted his it was like oh my goodness the stars are aligning for Rory macroy yes Bryson to three putt from 25 feet a guy who was seemingly making like everything this weekend it was like wow that is the break that Roy mroy had not gotten at St Andrews at LACC at all these close calls he finally saw the competitor blink and it was like okay he’s gonna do this and then right when that happens he does that it’s like right when he had a hand on the trophy it felt like he misses the two and a half footer it it yes Bryson blinked first Bryson blinked first and Greg I don’t there there’s no other way to describe it he I mean he choked it he choke just there just nothing but pressure and knowing what you are on the verse of to you just choked yes I mean it’s a putt of a distance that Scotty sheffler would have made last year at this point and probably would have made this week um you know like and everybody can make that Putt and everybody does make that Putt and it’s different on Sundays but you still don’t see this very often in a major championship where you’re missing a putt from Two and a half feet with the lead in a major I mean what is the last time you’ve seen somebody somebody do this uh Gordon Sergeant on the 18th hole at Lac when the cup was out and it bounced off the back yeah right in the middle of the hole Yeah it was also like seven hours before the final group came through I would I mean is it up there with DJ at Chambers worse yes it’s definitely worse DJ was was twice as long wasn’t it I mean I don’t know D that was a three putt from like 12 feet yeah yeah on Plinko board greens though yeah that is true did you see the Justin race de Rory mroy was 496 for 496 from inside three feet this season before that yeah you just I mean the I mean it’s it’s hard to exaggerate or overstate how automatic these are for the best players in the world let alone Rory let alone I mean it’s two and a half feet um you might have been able to sub me in they’re missed in a couple of a couple of ways they’re usually not because of massive amounts of pressure usually Under Pressure you take your time and you make it from that distance you get outside of three feet and it’s a different story I’m talking two and a half feet those get missed when guys go up and tap them in one-handed yeah right when they’re not paying attention clearly they don’t get missed when you mark you get yourself set you go through your routine and you hit a putt it they don’t they’re not missed despite all of that sorry Jack Jack Nicholas won a major um who did at at St Andrews somebody missed a two oh you’re right above the hole yeah um it wasn’t the Italian was it no no it was uh I have goldby in my mind but Sanders Doug xanders yes yes yes that looked like that looked I I if you go back and watch the footage it looks like like the invention of the putting stroke right I mean it looks like they don’t know how to put the way that he tried to I don’t even know it all it was all it was so bizarre the way he tried to knock that in yeah that’s the one that that’s the one I could think of and like you said Rick you watch that footage and it might even be in black and white you know it’s like it’s a long ago man this is brutal I’m watching right now he tries go as soon as it’s off his Club face he’s like oh my God he’s trying to will it in he’s trying to scare it in is he wearing double monks oh my gosh he might be wearing double monk golf shoes sorry that’s okay despite all of this we get to the 72nd Hall of the US Open with Bryson D Shambo and Rory mroy both at six under par tied for the lead and now they’re not in the same group so this is playing out kind of in a shot by shot manner so it’s it’s it’s it’s kind of weird uh Rory pulls driver Yanks one left into the native area draws a uh I don’t know seemed like a pretty crappy lie and he’s and he’s I don’t know what did he do Greg did he like Duff it did he fat it he he actually I thought he got quite lucky to have it end up where it was in a pretty straightforward up and down situation well it was directly behind a bush you know I mean it’s right behind a piece of wire grass so he he could get a club on the back of the ball but it’s like you’re under the lip of a bunker so it comes out thick the that all that grass is slowing it down it doesn’t have a chance to get over it and and it comes out low tumbling and just skirts the bunker that comes into play again later the bunker that looks like it should never be in play Rory skirts it and it’s in a great spot to get it up and down very straightforward chip uphill with a back stop you know it’s I mean not a gimme back stop but it’s a very simple straightforward shot that Rory executes you’re on mute Rick sorry what a rookie move I had such a good picked up right on it and I was excited and I hit I hit it Greg and I now I gotta Rory did execute that shot he hits it to three feet nine inches and while he’s looking over that putt Patrick uh Bryson in the group behind Yanks it left and he’s in a worse position than Rory is he’s got a tree over his head he’s got a root down by the golf ball he is spending a ton of time trying to figure out how he is going to advance this so you’ve got Rory putting for par on the 72nd hole you’ve got Bryson in the garbage trying to figure out how to put Club on it there is they are tied and all the permutations all the outcomes are flipping through your brain it it was such a strange Dynamic where Rory was always looking over his shoulder for the for the last hour he was always looking to see where Bryson Des Shambo was like he watched his shot into 17 when Bryson was barking at it when he pimp stepped it to 17 feet and I don’t like I know Sky Sports kind of gave it to Rory for the club Choice off the tea the driver they did um I know that was Bryson’s game plan the entire week the driver seemed like like he was in that left stuff get it past all the wire grass maybe get Tio relief if you’re lucky he didn’t get it this time obviously and uh yeah Rory’s chip was great right just inside four feet on the high side which isn’t I mean isn’t ideal but he’s Rory freaking macroy you should be making putts inside four feet it broke a ton but the you have to imagine the nerves just in the got to you have to it’s Roy freaking mroy he’s got 3 feet n Ines to post six under to post Greg he’s got it and he misses it and he missed it he missed it and now it’s just like fate like like his own fate Now lies in the hands of Bryson D Shambo um so he missed on 16 the two and a half footer left yeah now this one is sliding viciously to the right I wonder if I wonder if that played into his mind at all um it it didn’t look like I mean it broke a lot it was slippery it didn’t look like a great stroke to me no um so I I I don’t think Rory made a great stroke now the one thing that Rory tends to do with this putting is he tends to have too much rise angle like he hits up on it too much and he catches it low on the face and they showed a profile not a worm like a worm cam but profile and and he was very uh he hit it very low on the face which is a sign to me that he kind of goes back to what his habits are like go it goes back to the problem I didn’t see another putt from that angle with Rory earlier in the week to compare the two but I I don’t think Rory made a very good stroke and and he missed it this one is more excusable than the one on 16 yes but you don’t get a a better opportunity to win a major like it’s not going to be easy to win a major it’s never easy and you have to do things that are hard and while this is a hard putt it’s a lot easier than many of the Alternatives and it’s a golden opportunity and you just you can miss them if you want to come in second but you gotta bury them to come in first even with that even with that the door I it was 55 sorry Rick you can set it up you here here’s the setup Patrick even with that Bryson D shambo’s par to win the US Open is by no means guaranteed he dumps it from the native area into the front bunker which leaves the most dreaded shot in golf the long bunker shot for all the marbles 55 yards to get up and down and Bryson hits an absolute Peach an absolute gem he leaves him self not with the 3et 10 in that Rory mroy missed but 3 Fe 11 inches and what does he do with it Patrick buries it there’s never a doubt he was gonna make that putt never a doubt that that’s the golf shot you have to hit to win a major championship that bunker shot that was time place Circumstance the shot itself 55 yards from a fairway bunker that is all balls that is a ridiculous golf shot at that point in the tournament 72nd hole game on the line you gotta have it and he pulls it off he absolutely I it was one of the best golf shots I it I I remember seeing in recent member all things considered it was awesome I mean it it’s go get up and down from 55 yards to win a US Open Greg and a bunker it wasn’t uh chunk it to 40 feet and and Ram one in it was an absolute perfect perfectly executed bunker shot and drain the putt I mean perfect because it’s inside of four feet perfect because it’s under the hole perfect because it’s right online I mean they were talking about it on the broad like there’s a slope to the right that you can hit you can hit this Into the Bunker on the right you know so do you go out to the left they’re like you take the pay Stewart putt here you know you leave this 15 feet to the right to the left and make a putt that’s the play not for Bryson you know the the difficult thing in that situation is can you get it there with the explosion shot right if you play it like a normal greenside bunker shot and take sand before the ball can you get it there uh and and Bryson obviously had the strength that made the decision to go with that go that route it’s typically a hard shot because you’re in between do I try to pick it clean and play it like a fairway like a shot out of the Fairway or like a fairway bunker shot or do I play it like a greenside bunker shot uh Bryson was very decisive very committed to the explosion shot and had U all the strength he needed he actually referenced in his postrer the benefit of having the long wedge in that s in that situation because it allowed him to have enough speed to get it there which is a fascinating turn of events in an event where short game is so important and many of us were on the fence about picking him because of short game because of long wedges and and the long wedges end up winning them the tournament it’s uh call ambulance but not for [Laughter] me uh Bryson D Shambo captures his second US Open Championship we’re gonna talk about that we’ll talk about the historic context of it but let’s let’s do the Roy maoy thing real quick so they’ve got this camera now I don’t remember them ever having this much access to the room that they signed the scorecards in usually there’s just a camera kind of in the corner and it almost looks like it’s closed circuit the one that they had this week was able to and zoom and they were cutting to it a lot it was it was a lot so we saw the Rory maoy reaction when Bryson makes the Putt and it it looked like he was gonna vomit I mean I thought I was gonna vomit like it looked like he was going to lose his lunch and I cannot even imagine what that feeling is he was eating too he was eating a power bar I no way he had saliva to get that bad Bo like that’s a power bar especially oh oh power bar probably all dry and crunchy from being in the bag all day oh then you’re throwing that down needing Bryson to Shambo not to get up and down from 55 yards in a bunker for your first major champ for a playoff for your first major championship in a decade after missing a four-footer and a two and a half footer and still having a chance got to add some into that mix that that that was that was devastating to watch devastating yeah you know I agree with you Patrick um you do need to add water into the mix yeah absolutely need water but uh it made it I mean we thought Bryson was going to win yesterday um which was not going out on a limb um I was excited about Bryson being the US Open Champion leading into the day I was happy for Bryson and what it accomplished I thought this was an amazing story but the way it unfolded made it really difficult to celebrate the Bryson Victory and that unbelievable up and down especially because of that camera that you referenced Rick it it made it while it it it’s a joyful moment a cheer somebody just won a major and at the same time it is a sickening moment that is that leaves you speechless I I can’t imagine what he’s feeling because he did everything that he needed to do he did everything he needed to do everything that he practiced worked all the work that he put in worked and all of a [Music] sudden you choke you you give it you hand it away he handed this away yeah this is kind of the problem now Patrick because I could have and I’m sure I have very easily written off the other close calls you know he has been statistically one of the best players in major championships since his last major Championship win when he has had close calls and finished second or third usually someone goes out and beats him kind of takes it from him and really no matter what uh it probably wasn’t going to be his his championship but if you are supposed to be the player of the era the player of the modern era and you have a two-shot lead with five to go and the way that you lose it is with a two and a half foot putt mist and a three foot 10 foot putt Mist um I think we got a major problem this would never happen to Brooks kka it want and you look at the era you talk about who has the most in the era and how how much Brooks’s win motivated Rory right Rory wants to have the most in his era you you have to close it out when you have a two-stroke lead with five holes to play he’s obviously the player of the era right 25 plus wins four major championships who who knows how much he adds to that but I don’t that I mean that just doesn’t happen to Brooks kco it’s it’s it’s tough to comprehend you you don’t make putts at St Andrews you don’t make putts at Lac you make the putts today in The crucial points in the middle portion of that round to build that lead and then you just completely gag it’s a complete gag and then to make matters worse I I I don’t know if we’re even going to talk about this but to storm out of there I agree from one point he doesn’t know the media anything he gives media a ton of access to his life probably too much he gives the PJ tour a ton of his time probably too much but it’s it’s tough to look back a month and see Bryson Des Shambo Shake Xander schley’s hand tell him good job congratulations all this and then for Rory mroy to store him off it’s not a great look from that regard I I uh prefer it that way quite frankly Bryson there’s a huge difference in in those two Bryson’s there to shake Xander’s hand they had a great battle Bryson makes Birdie on the last hole there’s an element of excitement Bryson feels like he did everything he could have and got beat Rory just gave this away I I don’t know how he even wed I don’t know why he was driving he shouldn’t have been driving that car why do any of them drive themselves he was burning rubber he was up in the air in 30 minutes seriously yeah oh like in on on his plane on his plane in 30 minutes he’s gonna be home like soon yeah he’s probably he’s probably in bed already yeah he’s going to be home soon he’s going to be home before we’re done I I I give him no I no hard feelings whatsoever about that you know if he shoots 69 and it’s com you know he makes three birdies and two Bogies and the Bogies are at you know four and six and he tries and loses doesn’t make a birdie putt on 18 that’s totally different than what we just saw at I don’t know how you handle it I don’t know man as a competitor personally I know like I’m never going to be in a position where I blow a four-footer to force a playoff in a US Open I understand that I’ve come to terms with that unfortunately but I you got to look the man in the in the face who beat you and I think and Shake Your Hands we’ve seen plenty of people do it before yeah I I understand and it what makes it even Weir he’s not going to see him until the open like if it was a PJ tour guy maybe I understand that a bit differently just because I mean who knows if Rory plays next week yeah uh after this but like you see him on a Tuesday and you’re like hey buddy congrats but I don’t know it it personally I didn’t think it was a great look for macroy he can tell the media and everyone to bug her off I’m totally okay with that but the man beat you show him a little respect I’m the thing I’m most concerned about is driving like a maniac in those where all those pedestrians and carts are man it’s dangerous back there already I don’t need like I don’t need somebody speeding around back there he should have been in the back seat oh not driving God would out a stretcher what we’ve learned this past month is these guys shouldn’t be driving their car let someone else do do it for you right you’re multi-millionaire St I I I don’t know why any of them Drive seriously there there’s somebody El in the car with him I me gosh that’s not like do you think they do you think they played music or was it silence was Netflix in there I’m assuming silence silence and then Harry’s like hey you mind man Harry’s like on the radio going to cash that check right um Shambo now twice a major Champion actually uh you want me to hit this break Josh hit it all right we’re gonna do Bryson then we’ll recap the Best Bets in the one and done but first we’re going to take a quick break and hear a word from our partners there’s some new players in town and they brought the plague he got my attention you don’t want that CL of kingst mayor of kingtown new season now streaming exclusively on Paramount plus and we’re back Bryson D Shambo now twice a major Champion two US Open victories he has been playing some of the best golf in the world this year on live and in the major championships and Greg I will uh tip my cap to you because if it was not for Monday’s conversation that we had where you described kind of the path that this could could work out for Bryson uh he would have been a lot more off my radar by the time we we got to Thursday yeah he he was someone to watch clearly very confident heading into Majors um he is so thorough in everything that he does with his game plan and there have been some holes in his game right the the short game has been a concern in the past and it was absolutely spectacular all week long um you know the the long drives that he’s known for is something special the Bulge and roll on his irons is something special but I mean looking at what he did around the greens this week um was kind of the the superpower for me we know he can putt he’s he’s always been a great putter as well a very good putter at the very least and um and and his strategy around the greens worked really well he went with wedges he did not putt I thought he may go to a putter around these greens a lot more often he seemed to have a low spinning shot uh he seemed to have the contact dialed in and really only missed one in in the contact where so many players struggled Bryson didn’t and and his ability to go through his entire game and leave no stone unturned is a Difference Maker you know and he he puts in the time and effort and it’s great to see that come to fruition in big championships and in big big moments like this here’s the major championship record in 2024 Patrick T6 at the Masters which he played better than that result ended up being he finishes second at the PGA Championship plays awesome including on Sunday and Xander has to knock in a six-footer squeak one in to to beat him and then he wins the US Open I mean we could get a legit top 10 slam yep only two guys left now four entered this week Scotty shuffler col morawa who was a top five slam potential allaha Ricky Fowler 2014 Bryson and Xander Schley shafley fell into Old Habits today eeking in the back door for the top 10 uh but yeah both himman him and Bryson have the top 10 slam and and of course a major on their resume so far I it comes out of a very big time for Bryson to Shambo who knows what happens in the world of golf with major championship exemptions and Pathways and everything but based off that 2020 Us open this was going to be his last Open championship and then he was gonna and then 2025 it was the Masters uh the PGA uh as well or no he 2025 open last next year would be the last one but uh he gets the tenure from the US Open so it comes out a crucial time and you see some of the names he joins you think about us Amer and multiple time US Open winners Jones Nicholas Woods D Shambo that is a crazy forsome to be part of the Mount Rushmore of golf that is a crazy foresome to be a part of you think of two-time US Open winners you obviously got Kea you got Travino in there uh Curtis Strange one back to back uh Hagen has two as well Saron has two as well and uh you think about everyone in this era right now who has two morawa Rah Sheffer dambo JT all have two and so uh he he’s making a real case I think the case was never lost that he he’s one of the best players in the world um but I think he’s making a real case of being one of the best players of uh kind of that post Rory that next wave and I think like Greg said it has to do a lot with his work ethic and his willingness to leave no stone unturned no stone unturned for Bryson D Shambo he’s your 2024 US Open Champion jents let’s quickly very very quickly run through some of these other names here um actually I’m gonna give you two at a time Greg Tony fow and Patrick Klay finished T3 they did it in very different ways Tony F now kind of posted his number with a late flurry can’t L hung around for the vast majority of the tournament and was even within a shot or two very late down the stretch but both of them come up short yes uh I’ll start with Tony feno I was extremely impressed with him led the field in an iron play this week um his his ball striking was phenomenal and you think about other venues he’s played really well at shinicok Chambers Bay I think there’s some very real comparisons here um his his work into these really difficult um greens to hit with really long clubs was on full display and I was also very impressed with the work he did around the greens couple moments in this tournament Hill Rue uh definitely number 13 in the third round Making triple there uh when when you finish at four under the lead is six under and you made a a triple boy a bogy would have gone a long way at 13 yesterday for Tony feno but all in all I’m really proud of that performance solo fifth for Matthew Pavone he played in that final group with Bryson D Shambo he kind of fell early and never recovered one over 71 and then Patrick uh Russell Henley shot one of the 3 67s that was the round of the day he could not close it out in fashion he made bogie on his final hole but he gets under par there were only eight golfers underpar so Russell Henley top eight player in the world Vindication at last top five player in the world Matthew Pon and top 10 player in the world Russell Henley great week for the ey test uh Russell Henley today ranked number one in Strokes game putting 70th in Strokes gain approach which is uh pretty wild but great week for him obviously eeken in that back door pavon I loved the grit from him this weekend he was going to be overmatched by everyone on that leaderboard uh marroy dambo of course but for pavon to kind of just show some gumption and guts throughout the week and kind of take it in stride and be in the final pairing in the US Open I was impressed man I was very impressed I loved the left to right action I loved everything he got going uh I think a couple things kind of hurt him his short game of course he seemed to putt from just about everywhere and uh I think that ultimately just put too much pressure on it and uh that’s why you see him have uh have have not agre day Russell Henley has three top 15 finishes in the last four us opens think about lock it in Oakmont next year think about that uh the winning score gentlemen was what six under six Sam Burns played his final 66 holes of the week at 5 under so do do the math there that means he played the first six holes on Thursday at one two three four five over and then after that the rest of the event basically played good enough to win the golf tournament or to be very much in it but got off to a horrible start ends up finishing T9 at evening Park it’s kind of wow that is wild I didn’t realize that seems like his Putter’s coming around as well which is which is pretty cool he could be a factor in the playoffs it’s a good thing I haven’t used one and done yet I only noticed yesterday that he made the cut because I assumed when you were was five over through six that he I was like okay that’s over and he played great played great let us recap the bets for the week we did mediocre Josh grid me please thank you I had Keegan Bradley over Windom Clark it Patrick had Alex noren top speed no thank you Greg had cam Smith over Terell Hatton that is that was fascinating by the way um because Terell Hatton finished at six over cam Smith finished at seven over Hatton shot like eight over today Hatton finished at six over yeah he shot a 77 today yeah oh my gosh and I I was watching this I hate rooting against guys but he had he had to make bogey at 17 or 18 and made par on both but but I thought it was toast and then I looked oh my gosh he’s melting away so we came close on that one I was the only one to lose the finishing position because Frankie sappin at plus 360 went 7671 on the weekend to finish top 41 he finished 41st and top 40 so that is not that is brutal yeah y y Frankie sa frankurt Frank Frankfurt Patrick had Xander Schley finish inside the top 10 and what did that little backdoor guy do of course he shot at two under 68 Patrick to finish t7 gotta know your guys gotta know your guys this was never in doubt never in doubt eight straight top 15 finishes in the US Open to start his career that is unbelievable I think he’s going to give Jack Jack’s record of 12 a real threat you know who’s a really good major championship player you know who’s a really good player in general Hadi yeah and uh Greg had him with a top 20 at plus 140 way better than that Greg solo no sweat um he was a lot closer to winning this thing than than he was finishing outside the top 20 um Hideki did exactly what you expect him to do on a golf course like this just hit some great iron shots and when you miss greens get it up and downi was great uh up into the greens and around the greens all week none of us had Bryson D Shambo on our outright card though there was some exposure in the oneand done Market more on that in just one second I said Patrick Klay was going to miss the cut he nearly won So that obviously did not come through Scotty sheffler Patrick did not win on a scale from one to 10 with 10 being nuclear war how concerned are you about Scotty Che 11 uh maybe like a zero okay that’s probably he’s GNA win next week right no I think he’ll uh he’ll win I think a couple times in the playoffs can I get odds on if Rory maoy plays next week I would be shocked no chance right no way I would be shocked has he skipped a signature event yet I mean he did last year after there’s no there’s no requirement they got that oh my gosh it changes so fast I don’t even know yeah there what’s he gonna do show up and then do media on Tuesday like nothing happened like there’s just no way he shows up right just like I’m just focused on I’m focused on TPC River Highlands guys ask me maybe maybe he got on the flight so fast to get a late late night practice round in yeah that’s it yeah that’s a good point quick scouting quick scouting trip yeah Greg did take advantage of Russell Henley he had him at top 30 that was plus 130 so Greg got the best bet and Greg we are also bowing down to your greatness because you sir selected Bryson D Shambo to win the United States open and got oh boy oh no 4.3 million opened up your Gap now above Patrick at five million smackaroos yeah this is uh this is nice because I was really worried about this h i I almost switched off of Bryson to Hideki thank God I didn’t I that’s got to be getting pretty close to the top of the big oh Mr Greg wants to know how he’s doing now he wants to know what his what his position is okay Ian you hit that for 4.3 I had Scotty at the player for 4.6 I’m going to look for it i’ms I’m going to guess your total is somewhere around 17.8 million on the year yeah so okay it’s not updated yet but um 17.8 would be so you started the week in 20th okay yeah you gotta be there 17.8 would would move you above the current lead but somebody above you obviously had Bryson as well we just have to see who above you had Bryson uh and that’ll figure itself out but you yes you you’re gonna be you’re gonna be quite way up there quite up there you just have to hit the big ones and that’s hu that’s huge because I didn’t I mean I knew Scotty at the Players was the play Rory at Wells was the play like you know some of them are you know this one I I felt like I made a mistake not playing Bryson at the PGA well I will tell you that the first four on the leaderboard none of them had Bryson so the wow whoever was in fifth defoy Pro was the highest person to have Bryson so that’s gonna move defoy Pro to like 191 million dude you’re going to move up big distance I’ve clicked through 10 names and two of them had Bryson all right wow a lot of Brooks a lot of Brooks a lot of Cam Smith oh we love that we love that you’re gonna move up pretty significant you’re my guess is you’re fifth or sixth let’s go all right well we’ll see what I have left but I guess the travel I guess I got to put some real thought into next week that has become a huge event yeah man well I’m happy one of us right one of the good guys is giving the fans a run for their money yeah it would be good if one of us won that yes like we we need we talk about golf every single day it would be a bit of a tough look if none of us threatened so thank goodness for you Greg it would be bad if I would actually I would actually prefer none of us win it if it was going to be Mark who won it I never let us forget that yeah that’s true that’s true but I’d be I’d be happy if Greg won it yeah well thank you I’d be very happy too and it would make us look a whole lot better yeah all right we’re I’m not I’m rooting for you Greg so Patrick had Hideki that earned you wow 748 th000 for solo six these guys are making too much money yeah that it’s a lot of money but there are a lot of late birdies that I was just oh like Tony feno went on that late round uh run Matthew pavon birdied uh the par three 15th hit a pearl in there I’m like what are you guys doing you’re out of this tournament you don’t need this and Hadi slow out the blocks on Saturday really bad uh front nine today as well eight straight pars and the bogie on nine and uh it was was kind of like a what could have been week for me it kind of feels like it’s it’s been a what could have been year for me Greg talks about all his great wins well I had Xander at the Wells Fargo Championship he finished second I had I I did pick Bryson at the PGA Championship he finished second and so and and now we have now we have Hideki with a close call and not a great weekend so it’s uh it’s a bummer and now I’m five million behind God so much money Mark Mark probably took a Friday night Victory lap on lud VI oberg and got 409,000 ludvic fell to T12 Josh had col morawa that was 351,000 I had Brooks Kea 149,000 and what is just an absolute disaster for me is that Kyle also had brys and D Shambo so Kyle is now dangerously close from out of the basement and he is only $200,000 behind me and I will not be able to live with myself if I can’t be out I’m rooting for you Rick thank you I mean that is the game within the game I mean I’ve I’ve got nobody left I’ve got no ammo left and I’m in dead basically dead last not good I don’t I have Rory left but I don’t know know if I even want to use him for the rest of the year after this Scotty Sheffer has made more money than any player in the history of the game and he got me $100,000 that’s how many people do you think waited for this week to trot him out oh man probably a decent amount probably not come on no I don’t think so I can I can actually probably tell you um there were reports uh tournament pick summary what’s his name Scotty Scotty Sheffer was used in 2% oh wow shame on me yeah he’s us yeah yeah he’s used oh we do know who’s in the field for the Travelers though a couple uh web Simpson Adam Scott and Billy horel your sponsored exemptions Billy horel could be Be Frisky never know I actually I mean Billy’s been playing great but he has I’m not sure any of those well I guess B I mean Billy I like Billy I’ve done I’ve done a complete 180 on both Keegan Bradley and Billy hor I used to kind of really hate those guys now I think I love them I do too not sure I was ever in the one it’s not a 180 but I like them more than I ever did that’s for sure you want to hear a crazy stat that just came across my timeline Bryson Des Shambo is the first player to win the US Open despite shooting overpar in the final round I saw that I saw that when he made I saw no I saw when he made the turn he was over par and it was I think it was something like no golfers ever won the US Open with a front nine over par or something like that that is banana land sense can I confess something thing I’ve been having this text conversation with someone that I have no freaking clue who it is okay that’s good uh What are you guys talking about let’s it’s about it’s about one and done stuff so it’s somebody who’s in like my oneand done and I feel maybe they’re listening if you’re if you’re listening and I’m te and you’re texting me right now I am so sorry I should have put an end to this way before and told you that I don’t know who I’m speaking with yeah this is like you when you don’t know someone’s name and they said it to you you didn’t catch it big dog I’m so sorry um it’s it’s a I should I’m just G I should just what’s the area this in their phone it’s a it’s a 781 Boston area code yeah actually did it um maybe it’s the Boston Commons GM oh that’s me I’m I really if you’re listening and you’re texting me right now I am so sorry this has been going on since February and I should have I should have put February I thought it was like this week or something I felt bad it was so personal and like such a nice a nice note they sent that I was like it was like Hey R like and I was just like oh I was doing good I’m just in it I’m in it hey new hey new phone who’s this hey man I I to I all my contacts got deleted I’m so sorry if you’re listening I’m so sorry and Rory Roy mroy broke you to the point where five months later you you heard it out I know I know I’m at just I’m just at the end end of [Laughter] caring oh my goodness that is hilarious yeah I I’ll uh want me to call him someone in the chat said get Patrick to t you just call him on the phone on the show just be like hey first cut pod checking in hey hey 92.6 FM yeah who do we have you’re the lucky winner of the Morgan Wallen concert tickets what else did we miss from today uh at one point I thought Patrick cley was gonna backo win this tournament me too on on 15 he had a putt for birdie when other guys were in tough spots and I was like wait a minute if he makes this and like Rory’s about to make a bogey and Bryson could make I’m like they’re gonna go to a playoff and and Klay is going to steal this he had 15 feet on 15 yes to get within one I believe that’s when I thought he was he was even even uh he had a putt on I mean he had a putt on the last to PO to get in at five and if Bryson doesn’t make an unbelievable up and down it’s a three-way playoff could you imagine could you imagine a three-way playoff after all of that and can’t lay steals it I I was kind of rooting for it secretly okay it is incred we did not give him enough roses Greg it has been an absolute pleasure we’re gonna answer questions from the chat you have done a great job you’re off duty we will talk to you soon thank you so much goodbye all right Patrick oh he’s he was so excited he came back I’m just reading that chat what is going on the private chat all right we’ll take we’ll take questions Josh said do you want to take questions from the chat I said sure so you’ve got like 30 SEC like fire away let’s see what happens and uh we’ll see where this could possibly go and if it gets really bad we’ll just call this number yeah that’s good television uh o Berg it’s not kind of disappointed but I was I was uh concerned about a short game heading into the weekend I’ll admit it top five players in the world right now uh it is Scotty Xander Rory Bryson K morco there’s got to be somebody you’re missing right what do you mean and lvc can be number six oh you said more yeah said number five yeah okay that’s pretty good I accept that um favorite shot of the week that was not from Bryson o that’s a great question favorite shot of the week uh thala’s chip in that was nasty Franchesco molinari’s Ace to make the cut that’s a very good one as well the theala one was just filth oh my go oh P I’m still there’s still like some odor in it just Absol stinky so good thoughts on the course more players under par than ever right yes like I think they think they doubled the number of players who’ve ever been under par what did you think of Pinehurst I thought it was good I thought um maybe the wire grass disappointed a little bit at times I thought it was going to be a bit more impactful yes they need I think they either need to be first they definitely need to take them farther down like Bryson was hitting it past some of them and then also they’re they were not as close together as I thought so you get a lot that’s settled in the middle somewhere lot of lot and I mean that’s why you saw guys pushing the envelope uh I’m I’m lost uh rku muker G says Happy House of Dragon Day Patrick oh let’s go I uh I got a file story after after this and then I’ll probably have to watch a recap of uh season one do they drop them all at once no it’s week by week HBO dominates so Rick this was a thing when’s the last time you worked in an office um June May of 2019 oh wow okay um I don’t know if that’s is that more recent than you thought yeah I think it I think yeah I think so okay uh but HBO dominates Monday morning water cooler talk oh with with all the Sunday shows they have okay so be like oh you check out Game of Thrones last night it’s like oh Daenerys are you kidding me yeah all right Stephen accounting check later I was definitely in an office during Game of Thrones but nobody ever included me in those conversations so oh dominated the break room Rick dominated JT another miscut how worried are you about where his game in his head might be uh I would say for Majors pretty pretty concerning I would say it it’s been a long time since he’s really done anything should the sorry no you got it should the crowds chant USA at individual sporting events when a player misses a PL it’s weird I know like when they did it in Harbortown for Matt Fitzpatrick vers Jordan Speed that was bizarre USA is kind of childish it seems like it’s like big college bro Vibes it gives off but for the US Open I do kind of understand it because if you look from the other perspective at the open and those guys needling Harmon the whole time rooting for Tommy Fleetwood one of their own I understand it so we don’t get it a lot in golf I think the opens it’s kind of fair game I don’t mind like the chant or anything thing it’s just it’s kind of it’s it’s all it’s all that ever happen like it’s kind of borish because like when you go to the r the European they come up with stuff on the spot man I mean they’ve got they’ve got chance they’ve got songs they’re flipping them on the spot we’ve been using the same thing forever yeah and I guess to uh to take a page out of Brooks keo’s book get more creative right be better um Brent Brent says something about the coverage I I Haven other confession to make I only watched the Sky Sports coverage this week I did see that you were watching the uh what was the one with Wingo okay that was good um I’m gonna be very honest here and I’m gonna be very vulnerable I like Trey Wingo a lot wow I I do not think no I haven’t gotten to the vulnerable part yet I do not think he’s great on PGA Tour live I don’t um because I think it is a very very hardcore like you’re just talking about golfers that nobody knows and I think that that’s tough for somebody who doesn’t do it every single week and that’s fine that’s fair him on all access was perfect he was able to host the show he was able to run it through the feeds they were bringing on guests via webcam they had somebody else in studio they had a um like a third of the screen doing interviews while still showing you the golf that was and it was the perfect Tempo PJ Tour live can be a little sleepy on Thursdays and Fridays because there’s so much golf to happen but you don’t want to act like everything every putt that’s made is to win a major they had the perfect tone on that show I thought interesting I have a couple things to push back here okay uh one I would say one of those guys in studio Jay Croucher he’s the uh betting analyst for NBC Sports used to be the head Trader at points but great guy got to work with him when I was there he was awesome he was on there a ton uh when it comes to the Trey Wingo love we kind of have beef you and so me and Trey oh boy and so during the Ridder cup I tweeted out a picture of the US team wearing loafers and none of them were were wearing socks I remember he got some Run zy Golf an aggregator everyone knows my feelings about these aggregator accounts I block most of them only people I block on Twitter zy golf takes it they run with it they post it on Instagram it’s doing numbies and the comments Rick are torching me torching me like it is brutal it’s like who does this Patrick McDonald guy think he is he has no sense of style and you know who comments on it of all people Trey Wingo Trey Wingo and he comments quote who the f is Patrick McDonald who does he think he is that’s good did you reply to him no I I didn’t I did not but just know he’s on the list wow he’s on the list our worlds are really colliding here but outside of that I I watch The Sky Sports coverage and it is way it’s way better yeah okay uh if the US Open could only be hosted at one course moving forward which which one would you choose Oakmont oh when was I feel like when was the last time we were at Oakmont it’s been DJ yeah that was an odd final round you had Shane Lowry leading by four Scott piercey was in the mix uh the two stroke penalty for DJ’s Ball moving on the green and and they didn’t give it to him he just had to play with that but yeah yeah I L I loved the country club yeah was it big enough to hold the US Open though uh you mean like from an infrastructure standpoint yeah no no it’s not it’s not yeah that’s just like someone says Marian I I don’t think Marion’s big enough yeah there was one more question wanted to get to did you ever get your Ripper hat yeah I got it I wear it all the time oh good I get I get looks I definitely get looks so uh all right anything else uh I think there’s a late quote coming in from Bryson to Shambo he’s on live from he said out of a hundred times Rick that bunker shot on 18 how many times do you think Bryson Des Shambo said he would get it up and down how many times did he say yes he either said something stupid like two or 98 uh I’ll take two four or five but could you imagine him being like 97 I kind of wish you did I know that’ be so funny it’s like well of course I do every time all right Co congratulations to Bryon D Shambo congratulations to everybody we’re back at it again next week for another yes yes another signature event Travelers Championship Monday Tuesday Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday big thanks to producer Josh does all the hard work behind the scenes Patrick McDonald is available and now with beef as his emojji at P McDonald CBS and you can find me at Rick rungood this has been the first cut catch you next time [Music] [Music]

  1. LIV wins! DeCham is the hottest player in the world now, yet not picked for the Olympics. Seriously unfair. OWGR should be scrapped. Probably cost him a Olympic medal.

  2. BDe is the only LIV player to compete. It’s obvious most of them lack the competition and stamina to keep their games sharp

  3. Let’s go Bryson! This is his time. He will soon be regarded as the best golfer on the planet.I already think he is

  4. I know Rory doesn’t line up the putts, which obviously works for him as he was 496/496 from 3ft before but trust me when I say that if he lines up that putt he does not miss ot

  5. One and Done was updated about 2 minutes after Rick signed off

The leader is at 19.1 million dollars with 4 wins (winning all 3 majors so far and using Rory at Wells Fargo)

Greg is having a good season. This is his 3rd win. He is in 6th with 17.8 million
Patrick has 1 win this season. He is in 97th with 12.8 million
Mark has 1 win this season. He is in 274th with 9.1 million
Rick has 1 win this season He is in 381st with 7.8 million
KP got his first win this season He is in 405th with 7.5 million

  6. A successful week for everybody involved. 8 players finished under par with a winner score of -6. Bryson got lucky this yerar. Every time he was in trouble he got out of it. Bryson even stuck around to watch Johnson Wagner being asked by the crew to react to the shot that stole Bryson the win from Rory. Johnson got it to less than 10 inches away. Bryson wished he had done that and not leave it to doubt. Kevin Van Volkenberg of No Laying up reported on their round 3 recap that after tv coverage on yesterday, all hell broke loose between Brysons agent Brent Falkus and GOlf Channels Damon Hack. Brent accused Golf Channel of not kissing Brysons ass. Rich Lerner Paige Mackenzie and Paul McGinley were more than fair with Bryson all week. Sky Sports coverage was better than NBC. I didnt know they were doing it till it popped on my Peacock app. I wonder do people just like Bryson cause they enjoyed seeing Golf Channel whining about a liv Player winning. This pissing contest is something.

  7. Choke by Rory. No other word for it. Was putting lights out all day and then tightened up under the pressure. That miss on 18 was 100% nerves, I don't think anyone can argue that.

  8. The USA, USA chants is sooo cringe! It's not the Ryder Cup! I don't even have a word for it. And as cringe as that is, I noticed some clown in the chat had the balls to say "we need to stop the USA chants… this is why we're laughed at by internationals". What a collectivist arse clown. This guy is seriously going to lay blame on an entire nation, because of a handful of people at a golf tournament? This person actually managed to one up the USA chanters.

  9. All time choke job by Rory. Bryson didn’t play good at all really; but he was clutch. Rory fumbled so bad the last 5 or so holes. Couldn’t even make a 3 footer.

How in the world did they not put Bryson and Rory in a pairing today? One of the dumbest decisions I’ve ever seen. Made zero sense.

Congrats to Bryson though. Love that he won. Especially on Father’s Day. Gutted for Rory , but he’s gotta get out of his own head. Cuz that was BAD.

  10. Love the comment guys "do you think they listened to music"(in rorys car) LOL. I wouldnt mind being devastated after winning 2 million for the week…….A shame a playoff never occurred here, would have been awesome. A miracle that Bryson got up and down from 55 on that upside down saucer green running 13.5. If he played that shot 10 times he would be lucky to make it twice. No wonder Rory was spewing. Anyway, over all 4 days, you would have to give it to Bryson. Great Open here this year,

  11. No Kyle on the show? Can we get a quick Welfare Check? Rory not being decent enough to shake BDC's hand in congratulations is a total dick move and epitomizes the overall behavior of the PGAT and you, their lapdogs towards LIV golf and its members. School can be paid for, but CLASS cannot.

  12. Rory is such a cry baby. The fact that he walked away makes his actions speak so much louder than words.

  13. Rory prob is afraid to let Harry drive because he’ll get lost on the way and miss the flight!

  14. 27:54 just love Greg here and his calm cadence while talking about the respect of the putts missed by Rory! You guys have a great show. One of my favorite episodes. And how is Patrick’s hair so damn perfect all the time !?

  15. Rory should have made that putt but to sit on a couch at home and say it was an "easy" putt…on pinehurst greens, with crazy break…is ridiculous.

  16. Shot of the week that wasn't by Bryson was undoubtedly Johnson Wagner sticking it even closer from the bunker on 18. In the dark. With Bryson watching on.
