lights are out Kyle arson and Cory Day from the front row then it’s Brent marks and Brian Brown in row number two James mcfaden next to Brad s in row number three Tyler Courtney Rico abrew in row four Jake Bach and Cory Elias in the top 10 starters in this one Lakeside Speedway we got him racked we got him stacked and we’ve got the grand stands packed let’s go racing up at turn number four we are green into turn number one they were three wide for a mon for the second spot Brent marks Brian Brown and Cory day Cory day big run down the back straightway trying to look at the race lead here he’s going to slide up across the racetrack and take it away from Kyle arson leading lap number one it’s the Young Gun Cory day on lap number one Kyle arson back to the inside and it turns one and two but Cory day’s got the top spot down the back straight away Cory day last night 13th Place in the feature definitely struggled but tonight he wouldn’t believe it as he shows the way on lap number two at the 50,000 win rates here at lak side Speedway Marson is second marks is third he’s challenged Down Low by Brad swe then Brian Brown rounds out the top five bradu underneath the Brett Mars throws a slider at him for the third spot move the big cat up to P3 sweets up to third trying to go back to back with Kabota Highland racing Cory day with a sixc carar length lead over Kyle lson as they roll into turns three and four sweet likes the slider line as he’s trying to track down the top two now marks right in his back pocket down the front straightway trying to get back in the mix here Brent marks trying to win his first high limit racing event of 2024 this would a big one would be a big one to do it at Cory day finding a home right around the top side of the race track here Kyle Larson sticking with him five car lengths separate the top two as they work back into turns one and two Brad sweets trying to get up there as well lap traffic not too far up stream here for Cory day the first car he will encounter is Joe B Miller after that they are three wide for about the 21st position Parker price Miller Tanner Thon and Chris wendham hopefully they will sort that out before your leader gets there Dave may have scraped the wall that time by on the back straightway here comes Brad swe swe now steps it up to the High scary side trying to find a way around his brother-in-law down the front straightway Cory day right up against the guardrail as they work back down the back straight away Kyle lson Brad swe top three have broken away now from the fourth place car Brett marks a huge gap back to the 21 of Brian Brown Cory day now to the back of the field trying to find a way around the outside the 51b at Joe B Miller d will maybe make the pass this time by on the back stretch no he does not he’ll have to wait one more corner to get by the Lewis Trucking 51b there goes Brad swe with a slider on Kyle arson Brad sweet’s up to Second tried to use the 51b as a pick right there and it worked out for him Brad swe now to Second and track it down Cory day Kyle Larson not done yet right back to the left guard Tire of Brad swe down the back straightway sweet knew that was coming tried to block it but Larson went there anyways he runs the middle Cory day cannot get by the N9 p Parker price Miller Cory day around the outside in the turn one so many cars right in front of the 14 cars they roll down the back straight away Cory day trying to find a way through the lap cars here comes Brad swe running the bottom he’s got a lap car right in front of him makes a mistake Kyle Larson back around him for second Larson has the second spot in hand as they work back into one and two Cory day is made it by PPM now working on Aon jiton a little bit of a mistake right there off of two for Cory day lson now hits the deck and turns three and four runs the bottom you can tell he hit it nice right there Craig the wheel back to the left and he was in the moisture off a turnament before that time by Cory day three car length lead now over Young Money lson so much praise for this kid and they are going at it for 50k lson tried to shut the door Cory day snuck right through there and keeps the race lead now Larson runs the bottom he’s got the lead down the back straightaway Kyle Larson to the top spot but Cory day right back underneath him in a three and four day hits a rut right there picks up the front wheels and loses touch with the silver Motorsport 57 Kyle Larson still showing the way but now here comes Brad sweet sweet to the outside of Cory day he’s got P2 down the backstretch Brad swe now up into the second spot da slips to third Brett marks is fourth and now James mcfaden is coming to call Here Comes James mcfat he’s up to fifth and tracking down Brent marks at Cory day mcfat the former World BB winner here back in 2022 knows his way around Lakeside Speedway lson around the outside of Ze BL and Chris Windham he has now put two lap cards between himself and Brad s s now trying to find a way around the outside of Chris Windam he makes the pass off at turn number two lson just got pinched into the wall in the backstretch by Tanner Thorson Thorson did not know the leader was coming and that held up the progress for your race leader Kyle lson lson nearly hits the wall in turn number one picks up the front wheels and Brad sweets right back in the mix again James mcfaden is up to Fourth mcfaden is got by the 19 of Brit marks and now Brad swe takes the lead Larson and swe nearly got together off of Turn number four Brad swe back to the race lead he pulls away quickly from the 57 of lson Brad s made the pass that time by off of Turn number four but still traffic to deal with Tanner thoron and Sam Hayer Jr side by side right in front of him you know Kyle lson is not going to give up easy in this one swe makes his way by hay forti lson gets blocked as hay forti went to the infield right in front of him might have a caution here Hayer is off the pace we stay green for now sweet now makes it by the 88 carb Tanner Thorson puts him to the Wayside now Thorson the next car they’ll try and get by him is lson James mcfat now rolling in on the 14 car Cory day caution flag is that we got one stopped at the top of the racetrack in three and four Cory Elias and it looks like the the axle broke on that car you could see the axle stick kicking out of the left rear tire right there that is sitting next to him and they are going to need a tow truck on the rigin sun racing number eight car with 10 laps to go Elias was running 13th at the time of that incident there how many times have we seen Brad swe and Kyle arson battle for a lead battle for the lead in a sprint car race here’s a flow racing replay of the when bradu took the lead I actually did not see this I was watching McFadden try and make the pass on uh back in the field there wow and what a slider that was a Larson was like a lane off the bottom and somehow was able to make the move there to the inside to take the race lead away all right going green next time by Tony Chase all I was going to say was Brad swe talked about five laps longer yeah a lot more money on the line but what do they do technically to these race cars they want to start this race off just a tick tighter than they did last night cuz they know that car’s got to last five laps longer and feel as good as it did on lap 30 tonight as it did on lap 25 last night so all these teams have taken a pretty big swing on the adjustment for these extra five laps yeah absolutely we’ll see how it plays out here for the final 10 here in the heartland of America showdown at Lakeside Speedway green flag back out sweep goes to the middle in turn number one Marson straight to the outside of the racetrack gets a little bit of a run but not one that’s good enough to make a move on bradu into turn number one or turn number three and four Here Comes James mcfat trying to work to the outside of Cory day for the third spot not able to make the pass on mcfat quite yet Marson is going to stick that 57 car back to the outside of the racetrack and try and track down his brother-in-law for a big payday here tonight sweet switches lines he goes to the top in three and four lson runs the diamond line and it’s going to work for him might see a slider oh boy that was close right there in turn number one thought lson was going to fire a slider right there and Brad me looked like in a rearview mirror installed right there turned down in front of him lson big move for the lead to turns three and four lson takes the top spot sweep back to the inside seven laps to go at Lakeside Speedway bradu and Co upside down in turn number four red flag for Spencer bon in car number five the red flag comes out car on its side the cjb Motorsports entry of Spencer Bon Bas in last night’s hard charger in the feature went 23rd to eth and this one he started in the 13th position and was running in 13th at the time of this incident Spencer bason adding a new sponsor this weekend on that number five car philp pools.com it’s on the bottom side of the wing looking back if you were driving behind him you would see it underneath his wing MedStar and high limit racing officials on the scene there to make sure that he’s okay Spencer still sitting in the car with the helmet on we’ll see if he takes a trip over to the work area Tony leaport I believe you might be close to the scene over there are you seeing anything uh Chase I see one messed up race car the front Wing almost completely knocked off the top Wing completely crumpled they put down a little bit of foam here the MedStar guys did because there’s got to be a pcture in the tail tank of this True Timber c number five JB Motorsports for Spencer based and smoke rising from the firewall that car but Spencer himself inside that car must feel like they can get whatever’s wrong with it fixed he did not get out of the car he did not get a very good look at it they’re going to take it up here to the work here we’re going to follow him uh but Spencer wants to give it every chance they can at getting this thing back out on track it’s pretty beat up right now yeah we’ll see if they can make the repairs obviously going to need a new top wing on that car and then obviously you mentioned the nose wing and it looks like the left front is cambered in a little bit there it’s not going to work out for him I don’t think that’s going to be able to drive very well so we got a replay here on Flow racing we’ll see what happened to Spencer Bon and oh he made some contact there with Ryan Tims and did a little backflip somersault there and landed on his side almost stuck The Landing there for Spencer Bon unfortunately he did not and it looks like I’m going to say that that might be a little bit too much I mean they got time it’s a red flag Tony they got plenty of time to try and make those repairs they’re backing them in right now but we are beyond the halfway point so no guaranteed time down there so they’d have to work really quickly so drivers upside inside the top five right now that need a win or are looking for their first win of the Year James mcfaden car number 83 the 19 and Brent marks both of those drivers full-time high rollers have yet to visit Victory Lane so far in 2024 marks however he’s been in the top 10 in every single race so far this year him and Brad the only ones that can say that yeah Brent Marx has been to quote bradu on the most recent episode of the high limit room the podcast chase that you filled in and hosted for Dylan Welch last week or two weeks ago Brad sweet said Brent’s been sneaky and quiet good but he is still there every night he could be a threat here coming to the green Hendrick cars.com pce truck pulls into the field we’re ready to go back to green flag seven laps to go does Kyle arson have anything left in the tank here to challenge his brother-in-law bradu as we go back to the green flag where does swe going to turn him one goes to the top that puts Larson to the inside of the racetrack pulls up alongside but sweet has momentum to maintain the top spot car into the wall in turn number two that was Brian Brown he falls to the tail of the field we will stay green back behind the top three we got some movement here as Justin pek went by Brett Mar for a moment now James mcfat slides in front of Cory day he’s got third for a moment mcfat had third Cory day back by him down the back straight away Justin PE and James mcfaden both feeling froggy here late in the stage of this one five to go that time by for Brad s and sweets extending the lead by quite a margin over Kyle Larson the last time by Cory day now trying to find his way by the number 57 car as they work back into turns three and four quite the rut right there in turns three and four and Nick fatton it’s going to go right by Cory day oh my goodness James mcfat just clipped the Nerf Bar on the 14 at Cory day off at turn number four and the yellow flag is going to come out we got one slow on the front stretch it is the 21 of Brian Brown caution is out with four laps to go the 21 of Brian Brown who started fourth in this race has an issue and will come to a slow stop entering turn number one James mcfaden with a very very close call right there trying to squeak around the outside of Cory day when he got the car straightened back out it looked like he almost threw the left rear at Cory and said have this thing and about hit that right side Nerf Bar on the Four se’s Construction 14 machine mcfaden might have something to say by the end of this thing here and he’s looks like he’s pointing at something on the racetrack I’m not really sure as long as Brad sweet finishes in front of Kyle lson at this point he will take home an extra 10 grand it be a $60,000 night and a $70,000 weekend for Brad s they’re coming chase down here in the infield the metstar guys brought back what looks like the back half of the torque tube assembly uh I don’t know if that would have I can’t imagine that would have been off Brian Brown’s car um but yeah that’s what Brad sweep was alerting the guys to and MedStar ran over there and took a look at it uh the back half of someone’s torque tube assembly is down here in the infield I would probably bet that might have been the 21 car Brian Browns there Tony so maybe that’s the issue for the Casey’s number 21 car as we’re coming back to green four laps to go Brad swe back on the gas we’re back underway Lakeside swe gets away into turn number one by about four car lengths over Kyle Larson Here Comes James mcfaden coming to call trying to work around the outside of Kyle Larson now Larson goes in front of him in turn number three Cory day goes right in front of James MC fat they get together off at turn number four Cory James MC faten Close Quarters action right there in turns number three and four Marson makes a mistake off of Turn number two James mcfat trying to reel him back in here comes Cory day will we see a slider no he hits the rut gets sideways mcfat gets back by him the track is extremely tricky down there on that end of the speedway specifically on the entrance to turn number three bottom of the track does not want to be the place where you’re at here Here Comes The White Flag for Brad s s with nearly a St straight away lead as he makes his way down the back straightway he wins last night for 10K he’ll win the Wilkerson crane rent on Forge construction extra 10K and $50,000 as well at the heartland of America Showdown brat s gets the win Kyle lson second James mcfat third Cory day fourth and Justin pek ends up in [Music] fifth so Brad swe makes it a $70,000 weekend with the win here at the heartland of America Showdown Kyle arson finishes in second James mcfaden third Cory day Justin pek the top five Brett Mars Rico ABW Tyler Courtney Casey Kane and a good run for Ryan Tims he ends up inside the top 10 Jacob Allen hunter sherberg from the B main finishes 12th Jake boack 13th Tanner Thorson 14th Chris Windam 15th Blake H Zeb wise Parker Bry Miller Joe B Miller Aon jenon in the top 20 and then behind those guys got Brian Brown Spencer based in Cory Elon and Sam Hayer te Jr how about a race fans the winner of the heartland of America Showdown it’s Brad sweet two nights in a row the big cat comes out and gets the win here at Lakeside Speedway one of his best tracks in his career couple Outlaw wins so many top 10 here as well as top fives in laps LED he adds two more to his resume here tonight he’ll step around the front of the race car $70,000 richer and he’s going to talk to Tony lorta whiskey Meers Victory Lane is where we seem to find Brad swe more and more these days Brad that racetrack got pretty physical as those 30 Laps waged on what was it like out there fighting for $50,000 Young Money doesn’t ever make it easy I can tell you that uh I had a great race car I knew we were going to be in the hunt after last night just with how good we got the car um we didn’t change the thing we made a couple slight adjustments but man the track’s tricky it uh it gets rough and and Technical and the lines were changing and you know I thought I had a pretty good line going then he slid me and um you know I figured he was just making speed momentum you know which it’s kind of how this place is sometimes especially after a restart you you can really get up and get get your speed built up but you know that diamond line hasn’t isn’t been something that’s typically here at Lakeside so it’s kind of a new line you know we we find it every now and then a one and two but three and four even you could really Diamond it and hit some grip and just carry a lot more speed around the whole RAC trck so luckily I found that luckily you know maybe the red helped a little for me there just to kind of find that line but I knew I was going to have to move around and uh it was going to be good but it’s off to my guys uh $50,000 this is pretty cool that’s what we want to do this year is we want to uh you know with this high limit racing series it’s all about uh big bigger pain races and bigger events for the fans and and bigger events for the dra team so uh here we are 50 $50,000 richer and uh you know two two wins and two nights I I’ll take it $50,000 Richard plus the $10,000 from our friends at Forge construction and Wilkerson crane for being the high point earner between Red Dirt Raceway and the two kns here you and Kyle and Cory day had a phenomenal battle but you were honest with me this afternoon the pits you said when money is on the line it’s not just normal race things feel different does it feel different to stand in Victory Lane with that big check next to you oh heck yeah 50,000 bucks I mean as a Sprint car racer I remember years ago there was only one 50,000 to Win race and then the Knoxville Nationals it used to only be the Kings Royal and you know was a really big deal and you know that’s only 6 eight years removed uh now we have all these uh six figure paydays and but you know $50,000 to a to a Sprint car RAC is a lot of money and so we can’t thank the fans for coming out and supporting and making it possible Shane Stewart and his family uh for pro promoting the event with us and um yeah just I don’t know really really excited I want to say hi to my wife and daughter I wish you guys were here with me uh to celebrate uh but I’ll be home in the morning so um yeah just just really excited um yeah the extra 10,000 bucks got to thank Wilkerson crane for that uh so $70,000 weekend for the 49 Napa car we’ll take it not too bad and we have that angel donor who carried over from their participation in the All-Star Circuit of Champions pledging $1,000 every night that a high roller wins so as a high roller where are you sending that ,000 tonight I’m going to send that ,000 and I’m going to match that ,000 every time I win so I’m going to send it to Shriner’s Hospital and uh whoever that angel donor is man it’s a it’s such a great great thing that you’re doing I wish uh we could thank you in person but I understand and uh yeah just really thankful that I’m able to donate you know money to the Shriners Hospital for the fourth time in 2024 ladies and gentlemen Brad sweet’s your winner we talked about a California siiz tornado blowing through Kansas it was a three-headed monster that storm Brad s Cory day and this man Kyle lson running second here tonight but that was a physical race that looked like between Brad and what Chase Rodman is nickname new money you’re Young Money he’s new money what was that battle like out there yeah it was uh it was a lot of fun the track was um you elbows up from the start of that race and was just being patient there until we caught traffic and then um y Brad was able to uh get aggressive get by me and and I turned the wick up was able to get back by him and then get by Cory I think you know a lap or two later and um I got I got clobbered by a huge mud clot and and uh you know went up the track and missed my marks and Brad got by and then all those restarts at the end I was really really really tight so uh I I thought I had a tire going down but um apparently didn’t so we were just that tight so Brad was super good there the last couple restarts um to uh I mean he stretched out by a ton there so yeah good to get uh get second but it would like to been one spot better for sure and Kyle just quick Al this weekend is the first time we’ve seen you on the podium since your win at East Bay Raceway Park with cabota high limit racing what is the competition level like night in and night out with this series yeah I mean it’s obviously really tough um for sure you know it’s it’s tough all throughout the country right now you see you know the guys on the outlet tour they’re strong you know us on the high limit tour uh we’re we’re all really good I think you know Brad’s still same old Brad you know nice consistent click off some wins when there’s some big money on the line and then you got sunshine who’s always consistent Cory’s been you know racing his ass off Brit marks everybody so it’s uh I I feel like you everybody’s elevating their game right now and it’s going to be fun to see you know how it all shakes out and everybody gets together you know when we get these big money races coming up uh you these next few months so just uh really looking forward to it you know I was happy with my car this weekend I felt like we made some really big improvements this is really the first time we’ve been on a half mile too and um was good to uh to have speed so um I’m happy where where where we’re at just uh keep keep inching at it and keep getting better but just got to race more I don’t get to race as much as these guys a third last night a second tonight Kyle Lon good luck this weekend at Kansas in the Nascar Cup Series and then we will head over to third place finisher James mcfaden brother that rut down there in three and four you and Cory day were hitting it a couple times Cory getting unsettled down there you really kind of rattling his cage what was that battle to stand on the podium with a youngster like that who has been so hot recently yeah I love racing with him mate he’s you know he’s a Unreal race car driver but has a lot of respect you know he’s he’s been brought up right and his his family are great so yeah love racing with him he’s uh he’s a hell of a race car driver at the age he is already so hopefully he sticks around in the on the dirt track for a little longer but hats off to my guys we you know we really struggled um last night and you know did a lot of changes there and and uh and got my car really good it it took us a little bit at restarts to get going probably two or three laps to build my momentum and I felt like I got faster and faster so I kind of wasn’t really hoping for restarts but um yeah we got to third it was good it was uh kind of wish the race was 50 laps it’s it was insane man it was it was you know 30 qualifying laps out there and and I felt my car got better as the race went on so hats off to my guys like I said they worked hard um High Dennis and Teresa back in California um it’s good to be standing here we’ve uh you know I think we’ve had the Speed we just haven’t had the results so we’ll keep keep digging and and keep getting better obviously Toyota uh mobile one uh everyone involved with our our team to get us get us up and down the road it’s uh like I said really really nice to be standing here so hi M MAV and zo back home and I can’t wait to see him James mcfaden comes home in third place here tonight aboard the Roth Enterprises number 83 he brings up a great point that three-headed California siiz tornado that rolled through here tonight chase you have Brad swed and Kyle arson they call the State of California home as do you but this car right here that number 83 the Roth Enterprises machine owned by Dennis and Teresa Roth that car calls California home so The Californians the West coasters coming out here to the big near half mile long Lakeside Speedway finding Comfort finding speed and making some money here with Kabota high limit racing a great night lot of fun uh but it’s not over yet May is going to continue to be a very busy month for Kabota high limit racing 34 Raceway Tri Cities and then we head home to Indiana cook Speedway all coming coming up in the very near future of course you can watch all of that live on Flow racing but from a weekend’s forecast that did not look like we would go racing Lakeside Speedway Shane Stewart and the track crew with cabota high limit racing pulled off a barn burner of a weekend if I do say so myself so Chase we got to get tearing down over here I got a long 7 Half 8 hour drive back to Indianapolis tonight so I’ll let you get started on the banners on the other side but man what a great race this weekend $50,000 here on a Saturday night in Kansas City absolutely fantastic stuff from the drivers with Kabota High Limer racing we’ve had I think this was the 12th race of the season and I think every one of them except for one has had a change for the lead at some point in time so fantastic stuff from the drivers all season long here’s a good replay a recap of what we saw here tonight started off with a decent battle between Cory day and Kyle lson Day made the move right here and you thought that Larson was going to run away and hide but Cory made it tough on him pulled out to a pretty- large lead and led for a majority of this race probably led the most laps of anybody Brad sweep put the move on Kyle arson used Joy Miller as a pick right there and was able to scoot on by him and take over second but Larsson wasn’t done swe tried to block him right there and he opened that door when he tried to shut it and took that second spot back then he makes this move right here as Cory gets up in the fluff a little bit right there Larson comes up RAC trck and Cory literally hit the wall right there to maintain the race lead and there you see the Big C on the prow trying to get up there and battle for this top spot finally puts the move on Cory day right here as D gets a little bit sideways off the turn number two k or Brad made the pass and then he went to work to track down Young Money for this win and made this crazy move right here Larsson ran the middle I just I’m not sure how that worked out for Brad s right there but it certainly did and then he never really looked back I don’t think maybe lson gets by him one more time uh but bradu was in control for a majority of the race after that this right here was what I was talking about as sweet went down the bottom and that was the last chance for Kyle Larson Spencer Bon does a little backflip action right there brought out the red late in the race but it was a four laap dash to the Finish Brad s holding off the challenge right there from Larsson after that it was over over he would drive off into the Kansas City sunset as Larsson would try and hold off Cory day who gets passed right there barely by James mcfaden and he would end up on the bottom step of the podium but it was all Brad swe 50k in his bank account here tonight along with 10K last night 10K from Wilkerson crane rental and Forge construction absolutely fantastic stuff Lakeside Speedway in my opinion one of the most under rated facilities and tracks in the entire country when it comes to dirt Sprint car racing they did a great job prepping this racetrack after six inches of rain throughout the week
