Max Homer reacted to a disappointing Pinehurst second round as he missed the US Open Cut Max Homer looked for the positives as he took to social media after missing the US Open Cut and his tournament ended early he carded a second round 75 to finish on six overpar and remains without a major success in his career only 22 out of 156 golfers broke par on a difficult Friday as world number 10 Homer began the day at 1 over par and for 34th Place he then proceeded to card five Bogies over the first 12 Hooves of the second round ending five over and one stroke shy of advancing to the weekend he has now made the cut just once in six attempts at the US Open and will be disappointed not to have broken his major duck Homer was one of several big nameer missions alongside his playing partner Victor hoveland and Tiger Woods but Homer remained thankful for his family as he explained my wife is still a rocket having taken to Instagram with a series of photos of Homer with his wife Lacy groom and their son cam the American wrote sucks missing the cut Pinehurst may be my favorite course I’ve ever played on the bright side my wife is still a rocket my son is cool as hell and I get another chance next week Homer and his wife met online over a decade ago and celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary in November she can often be seen with their son at Homer’s tournaments cheering him on having previously explained the importance of Cam being in attendance groom explained it’s important to me to bring along our baby because even though he’s too young to remember it I just love for him to experience new places and cultures and different types of people and I just think that’s a really important thing so even though it is a little bit more challenging to bring him and sometimes a little bit more stressful it’s so rewarding and it’s awesome we get to see the progression of our life evolve and it’s so special
