Although a custom fitting would have been preferred, given they’re based in the south of England and I’m in Scotland, that wasn’t possible, so Lead Club Fitter Mark and I instead met for an online consultation.

Prior to meeting, I used my @flightscopegolf Mevo at the range to obtain shot data for my 5 and 6 irons, as well as my 3 hybrid and 3 wood. During the meeting, Mark and I discussed my personal preferences, usual shot type, shape and flight, current setup, and analysed my FlightScope data. Based on Mark’s knowledge and expertise and the answers I proved to his questions, he recommended this beautiful @titleist TSR2 4 adjustable hybrid with HZRDUS Black 90g X-Stiff shaft. This hybrid is designed to be high launching and forgiving, perfectly suited to those 190/200 approaches to greens I’ve been struggling with. The adjustable head provides flexibility and means I can further set it up to suit my needs should I need to.

The online call was incredibly insightful, and helped me learn a huge amount about important considerations when buying golf clubs, especially without an in-person fitting, like many of us do.

I now can’t wait to head to the golf course and give this new club a try out. Hopefully it will help me to find more fairways and greens and put to bed my 200 yard gapping issue for good.
