This is one of my favorite shots to throw in the woods. It will shave numerus strokes off of your game. Keeping the disc moving straight in the woods is a must and hyzer flipping midranges is the best way to achieve this. I’m slowly building my consistency and will be releasing more training videos, if you guys are interested let me know in the comments. what’s going on guys welcome back to the channnel and can this one shot change the way that you play in the woods let’s find out the shot that I’m talking about is a Heiser flip it’s probably one of the most coveted shots in all of disc gol heer flip so why would you want to throw a heer flip the heer flip shot is really great for just going dead straight most of the time that can be from 300 even to 400 ft with power throwers so what are the key ingredients for a heer flip the very first thing that you need to do is to pick the right disc I know I say that a lot on this channel but it really is true with the heer flip this is going to be different for every player generally you’re going to be choosing a disc that’s a little more understable so for me I’m throwing an element this is a beat in element I’m going to be throwing it for all of my heer flips up to around 300 320 ft for a longer distance Hiser flip I’ll actually throw this Assassin of course this is my cool assassin that’s in the Platinum plastic and has this I want a date with some chains stamp on it doesn’t say assassin but this is more of a t- bird style disc it’s kind of a neutral Fairway driver a lot of your beginner players are going to be Heiser flipping a cyborg just because it is a very understable disc no matter what disc you use you you want to make sure that you are very comfortable with that disc key thing number two is to go out and do field work with the disc that you think you’re going to be able to heer flip take your whole bag throw a bunch of hisers and try to get them to Flip heer Flip what I like to do is start out with something crazy underst stable throw it on a steep enough Hiser that it stays Hiser the entire time and then slowly decrease that angle until I get a smooth Hiser flip out of the disc you want to also keep in mind the amount of power that you’re putting on the disc more speed is going to require more stability out of the disc and the key ingredient number three is trust you’ve put in the field workor you know what the disc is going to do so when you come out to the course you have to trust that your disc is going to flip up because a lot of times your Heiser flip line is going to be throwing straight at out of bounds or straight at a tree and the disc has to flip up to avoid it a lot of times when you fail to execute a heer flip because you didn’t throw the disc as fast as you did in practice so for this reason anytime I have a super tight Gap that I know I’m going to be throwing a little bit slower on I will actually change the stability of the disc I’ll throw a little flipper little more understable of a disc than I would usually throw for that shot because I’m going to be throwing it slower it’s going to be harder for the disc to flip up now on to number four the key ingredient for a heer flip and that is going to be your form when you throw a Hiser flip you have to dedicate to the Hiser all the way through the shot so when you start your Hiser flip the disc is going to be parallel to your chest like you’re going to throw a flat shot and then you have to lean down to add the heer when you pull back you pull through you have to stay over the disc for it to stay on Heiser if you stand up during this it will no longer be on Hiser it’ll be nose up so you you pull back on Hiser you’re leaning forward and then you stand up and now the disc is coming out of your hands nose up it’s a very fine line that’s why I say to do a lot of field work with something that is extremely understable because if you can get it to Hiser then you’re throwing it properly something that is extremely flippy for your arm speed get out and throw a bunch of hisers with it until it stays on Hiser and then you can slowly decrease that Hiser angle to get a Hiser flip the Hiser flip shot is not a shot that you’re going to come out to the course and just start throwing it’s a shot that requires a lot of patience a lot of practice and a lot of field work to execute and that’s why I’ve set up this next shot that I’m going to show you guys here at Freeman Lake I like this shot because it simulates a tunnel shot but if I miss my line I’m not in a bunch of wood Woods it’s not super punishing so it’s like field work but I can still have some errors while I’m correcting my form now this is another shot you can throw with a heer flip this cyborg is super flippy so it’ll actually flip to flat and then flip over [Music] so that’s a few tips on how to throw a heer flip key things to remember is you have to dedicate to the heer I like to dedicate this Hiser to all the local Pros that thought I was never going to be nothing I mean I’m 900 rated but I’m working on it you cannot throw this shot without following all the way through on Heiser that’s why it’s really important to get out and do field work so that you know what your disc is going to do when you put it on a heer the wind is going to change all of that and for that video it’s right here how to throw in the wind have a great day stay in the Fairway guys get out there and throw some heer flips get flippy with it haer flip
