[Music] [Music] [Music] what is going on everybody welcome back to another episode of the MLB swing for the fences show here on the runer sports YouTube channel talking today’s six game MLB slate a little bit of a smaller slate here on Monday night but as usual joined on Monday by Mr JT Hayes JT how you doing on this Monday afternoon I’m doing good I’m doing good it’s uh it’s finally getting nice and warm here in Atlanta and most other places in the United States uh busy weekend and like you said only a six game slate here they could have made it a little bigger and started at 640 but why do that why why not why not give us the smaller slate on a Monday little slower start to the week so here we go yeah not not a fan of these H short baseball slats there should be you know at least at least 10 games every day I feel like to choose from but uh is what it is six games to choose from a does start uh what 30 minutes 35 minutes later than usual 7:40 Eastern Time start and uh yeah we’ll go through it it seems like we were talking beforeand it seems like a pretty straightforward slate I think we know you know I think there’s going to be some pretty clear chalk pretty heavy chalk so we’ll discuss what we want to do with that and uh yeah we’ll try to uh pick the winners as we always attempt to do by the way JT might be heating up in Atlanta but not for that Braves offense still still couldn’t still couldn’t get it done even against Mr DJ hers a little a little frustrating you know it’s it’s still it still wasn’t DJ hers season though I mean it was uh I think uh I think we had a little friendly a little friendly debate banter in Discord and uh sters was on DJ Herz he guaranteed at least 12 points and he came close he came close but it uh it’s ugly and I was talking about this yesterday actually my wife was disgusted with them and I Saidi don’t understand this because the only real difference yeah obviously they lose aunia we’re not saying that’s not a big deal the way that he’s the tone Setter for that offense but the only other difference here is the loss of Ron Washington who is your third base coach now Washington is proven with the angels he’s he’s still a pretty damn good manager he’s got them in contention almost every night these they’re not record-wise any better than we expected but they at least fight they try they play every single game hard and that seems to be what we’re missing here with some of these swings on the Braves just just very very poor at bats not deep at bats and I still think they’re going to turn it around I still think the offense and the pieces are too good but it’s getting a little late now you’re looking at 10 games behind the Phillies if only the national league was a little bit better it would be a rougher road to get into the wild card but it looks like alexopoulos is going to have his work cut out for him here at the deadline I mean the pitching has been keeping them in games but now they’re having to rely on guys that really aren’t ready yet Hurston waldrup not quite ready for the major leagues and you know AJ Smith Scher came up pitched one game while he’s on the is so it’s a tough road here for Atlanta but like Brian Snicker says no one’s going to feel bad for them no one’s going to feel bad for br after the last decade certainly Philly fans are deservedly happy and salivating at the fact that really this division is theirs at this point now we’ve seen this before the Braves have been down particularly the year that they won the World Series they did not have a good first half but this is a little bit tougher when you’re talking about not having Strider not having aunia and the other thing DC that these changes that major league baseball made is there’s not a lot of sellers at the deadline and the teams that are going to sell the Rockies the white socks maybe the A’s there’s not a lot there that you get excited about acquiring so it’s it’s going to be tough for the rest of this season yeah definitely a sellers market right but the trade deadline in baseball this year just a few teams offloading assets uh and a lot of teams trying trying to get those assets so I’m with you I do think the Braves offense will turn it around but it is you know we’re 40% of the way through the MLB season it is starting to feel like a little bit of a l season for the Braves you know it just starts out horribly right you get the Strider injury after one start aunia goes down I mean really it’s the entire offense pretty much right like auna is the only one hitting I mean olssen Riley alz Harris Shawn Murphy got injured the first day of the Season missed two months so been a tough stretch and I don’t think they’re going to be catching the Phillies obviously I think they’ve got a decent chance to get into the wild hard but the Phillies man they look good um and it maybe it’ll be kind of the you know the inverse of what we normally see where the Braves kind of run away with the division and then the Phillies give them trouble in the playoffs but that Phillies Bullpen is legit I mean yeah they really don’t seem to have many weaknesses the uh the Philadelphia and Phillies so the Phillies and you know the thing they just don’t slow down I mean you you don’t you don’t expect a team to hit like that week after week month after month they have not slowed down at all and you talk about their pitching now that with the changes that Ranger Suarez made in the off season It’s just tough they’re tough tough team no doubt about it uh but thankfully kind of we don’t have to worry about the Braves on this particular SL so they can’t they can’t steal any more of our our hold hard-earned gold no no no brace these tonight we’ll see uh we’ll see who else steals our money maybe it’ll be uh famous money thief the Minnesota Twins who were the uh the thieves of last year and I think are going to come in pretty chalky on this slate so we’ll talk about this game first it is first game of the Slate 30 minutes before the second game 7:40 Eastern Time start Colorado Minnesota Chris Paddock and Dakota Hudson two righties on the mound uh kind of been all over the place this year he’s had some really really strong starts mostly recently hasn’t pitched super well but he has had some tough matchups going into New York no twins ever do well pitching hitting anything in New York Kansas City before that who has been one of the better stories of the season so far Texas Cleveland New York again so really the last what five starts have been tough mat matchups for Paddock and you see that in the results but if you go back to some of the you know the easier matchups against Seattle I put up 29 DraftKings points against the Red Sox 28 the white socks 36 so and then you know you go back one more start in Baltimore he’s atga -10 so he does seem to be you know almost more than any other pitcher kind of matchup sensitive where he kind of crushes in the spots where you think he maybe should and struggles in the spots where you know looks like he should struggle today he gets about as good a match up as you can have against this Rockies team they did okay against the uh Cardinals pitching over the weekend but still an amazing matchup for Chris Paddock he’s down at 7,100 on DraftKings after you know struggling in in four of his last five starts 7,800 on FanDuel so a nice price point there and I do think he’s gonna end up being one of the three pitchers who carries most of the ownership on this site we’ll talk about uh Dylan CE and Logan Gilbert later on but I think a lot of people are going to go to Paddock here honestly it’s kind of hard not to I mean the Rockies have a team total of 3.3 uh you know the twins are What minus 240 favorites in this one so Paddock looks good to me uh and then the twins bats like we talked about they do have uh by far the highest team total on the slat in around 5.2 runs projected by the markets uh and Dakota Hudson just just not any good in or out of K’s field he has been a little better out of C field but still a pitcher to Target specifically lefties hit him well and I do think we’ll see a lot of people flock to this twins offense we know that typically goes when they’re chocked though so interested to see what you’re doing with the twins with Paddock we’ll get frankly a lot of ownership locked in in this first game of the night over to you JT for Rockies and twins yeah uh it’s hard to argue with this matchup so we’ll stick to the matchup perspective both for Paddock and the twins it’s the ownership here that’s the biggest concern I will say not so much on the twins bats because they’re showing about 14 or 15% ownership which on a six-game slate you know if the Dodgers were on this slate DC we’d see ownership into the 20s mid 20s I mean the Yankees are on this slate and they don’t they don’t seem to be generating a huge amount of ownership so it’s going to be kind of spread out against amongst four or five teams here obviously same thing we always talk about with twins how long is Dakota Hudson going to be in the game and is a left-handed pitcher going to come in which is going to turn around some of these guys on the twins so in lineups where I’m not playing full stacks of the twins I don’t want or at least I want to minimize the exposure I have to those pinch hit risks yeah in this lineup I think that’s the one thing I’m going to do and then you’re right about Paddock his matchups that have been against Bad teams white socks the Seattle when they’re not hitting which doesn’t seem to be often uh very very good games his match up against any other team very bad game concern with him is man at 44 45% ownership here of the three pitchers who look like they’re going to be owned 40% or higher I think he is the most likely to let down but I also see the percentages for him succeeding here as as fairly high so I I think for me the way I attack this is yeah I’ll play a couple of Rocky’s leverage Stacks in every contest that I’m playing in multi-entry but I’m not going to go overboard on them I’ll be a little bit under the field on Paddock because I do think there’s a couple of other pitchers who aren’t generating this level of ownership who have the ability to either meet or exceed his score tonight yeah makes sense to me there I mean paddock’s not you know there’s no sure things no pitching hitting baseball that’s just not the the way the sport works but Paddock you know is never a sure thing much less so I think than than C Gilbert that’s a price point I think you could make a case that he’s the best point per dollar play uh but it sound like salary is you know really at a super premium tonight there’s not that many big bats on the Slate outside of you know the Aaron judge I don’t think we’ve seen the Yankees lineup you able see if Juan stto gets in there um but there’s not that many places to spend so uh Patrick looks good to me uh I’m going to play him some for sure but again not quite as safe I think as as some of the other chalky options that we’ll get to and you know there are other I think reasonable lower own pitchers to go to if you do want to get away from the chalk Twin Side of the ball um like Dakota Hudson is kind of like a classic pitcher who you want to Stack against almost right he’s a high walk rate he’s walking what 10% of the batter he’s faces which is super high he doesn’t strike anybody out so he just gives up a ton of base runners because it’s just you know he can’t get the strikeouts he walks people so there probably will be guys all over the bases in this game just a matter of if the twins can get the big hits to get them home um in terms of one-offs for twins I do think they have a couple guys lck and Lewis uh the two kind of big Power bats hitting second and third tonight think you can play by themselves like I don’t really want to play a a Willie Castro oneof leading off that seems like if he has a big game it would seem like that the rest of the twins would fight so that’ll be my Approach there uh twins of course always do have uh pinch hit RIS kof lck and to some extent Kepler I think are a little bit risky in this game Manuel Margo starting though so that is one of the guys who might pinch you up for the Outfield so maybe a little bit safer there than than usual but certainly something to watch for with the twins yeah l l and kiroff like an asks pinch rest those are the two guys that I’m most worried about H but I think there’s a chance they let those guys let those guys play this game if they can take care of business early which I think there’s a pretty good chance they will so uh twins definitely a intriguing team and uh certainly one I’ll have some exposure to myself get to the second game on the Slate New York Yankees Kansas City Royals this one in Kansas City who’s been playing some pretty good baseball they’ll go up against the Lefty Carlos rodon who’s pitched uh pretty well this year for the most part and then Seth luga who has been outstanding for the Royals really most of their pitching staff has pitched well this year uh Lugo 8,400 rodon 8,800 ownership wise looks like rodon maybe 15 perish 10 to 15% I think is fair for rodon and then Seth Lugo will be very low on seeing you know maybe 5 percentage something on like that on Seth luga so um yeah we’ll throw it over to you JT what are you doing with Yankees and royals here it’s an interesting spot I mean this park um is going to be difficult it’s difficult Park in terms of power yeah I mean I I would say on any slate right that the Yankees are in Play Just Because especially if stto is back uh with their their offense the way it’s been performing um but I do have some interesting Kansas City’s offense here you bases on rodone Rhone has been uh he’s been very good but I I think he’s also been a little bit lucky now some of that luck DC is simply because the Yankees defensively have been very good so when you’re when you’re talking about a pitcher being lucky you have to factor in well why aren’t those balls that are hitting play hits and some of the time it’s due to this Yankees defense but I do think with the mix of speed and bat to ball efficiency that the Royals have this could be aough for match up for rodone he’s all also all the way up at 8,800 and you even if Soto’s in right the Yankees play on Sunday Night Baseball they played a you know invigorating matchup all weekend packed house against the Dodgers potentially a preview of the 2024 World Series now you fly in the middle of the night to Kansas City I’m not gonna lie I have some interest in Seth Lugo at that ownership number he is a pretty heavy favorite one of the highest favorites I’ve seen so far this season to get through six Innings and man if he’s going to be 3% owned I’m happily going four or five times the field on that and seeing if we can get one of those Seth Lugo performances the Yankees have been without question the best offense over the past couple of weeks in the American League but they’ve started to slip just a little bit some of that maybe doe toan stto missing of course even if he’s back in the lineup we don’t know if he’ll be fully healthy here but the they’ve also started to strike out a little bit more down right in the middle of the pack in terms of strikeouts so not going to go crazy with Seth Lugo but I do think at low ownership he is one of these pitchers on the Slate that can go deep in games he can get over a 100 pitches there’s only about four or five guys on this slate like that even Chris Paddock DC we know how quickly Roco baldelli will go to that Bullpen so I have some interest in Lugo here yeah I don’t hate it uh yeah uh sareez batting a thousand in his career against Carlos that is that is great PVP very a very uh a very insightful comment there Richards we appreciate that yeah um yeah I think lugo’s interesting at that ownership as a way to get away from what we know will be very heavily owned pitching and then I’m with you on the Royals bats uh to me they set up pretty well or match up pretty well against Rodan right they have like you said good contact skills on a lot of these guys and they can also run rodan’s giving up 10 stolen bases on the year Garcia Wht both guys who you know you what you want against Rodan is is right-handed power even better if those guys can you know make contact frequently because Ron will give up you know hard hit balls he’ll attack with the fast ball he’s really a kind of a two-pitch guy to right-handed hitters so yeah Garcia and Whit at the top of the lineup make a lot of sense Salvador Perez if you uh are like Richie Smalls and and go with the uh you know the bvp and then even down at the bottom of the lineup you know Darren Blanco Garrett hamson can run put the ball in play so I think potentially the Royals could do some unexpected damage I think they’ll be not no one’s gonna be super low owned on a you know except for gets the chalk pitching on a on a six slate but they won’t be crazy high owned and I do think Garcia and Wht in particular at the top of the lineup makes sense as guys to spend up on today if you’re you know going with a cheaper pitcher like Paddock something like that so I’m in on the Royals I do in general take too many hitters against Carlos rodon I I’ll admit that it doesn’t work out all that often frankly but I’ll probably be going back to it here um no no word on sto yet I he’s projected to be in there from where I’m seeing most places uh are you willing to play him if he’s in there any wor about you know obviously missed a few games here with that elbow injury um what are you doing with sto and then Aaron judge always a question mark uh are are you paying off for those guys if they’re in the lineup yeah I mean look I’m not gonna avoid the Yankees here as much as I have interest in Lugo we know what this team can do so the lineup will be a factor um you do have some guys in this lineup I mean they sat Rizzo but if Rizzo’s back in the lineup you get a lineup with with Rizzo and lameu you know now it starts to look a little bit better for Seth Lugo you know above and beyond the ownership so um but I won’t avoid Yankee Stacks I just don’t know how much of them I’ll have they they come in around the middle of the field for me here on this slate um just you know again REM remembering that hey we don’t like to play teams that play the Sunday night game and then travel it just seems to generally be a tougher uh a tougher way to collect fantasy points with those teams um and then the Royals are showing about 9% ownership some guys at the top are going to be a bit heavier obviously but drron blano is a guy that I was going to mention myself just because of that stolen base upside he gets on base and he’s Off to the Races so 3,300 in the eight hole he’s not going to be very highly owned at all yeah I certainly expect the Royals to to be stealing bases here if they get a chance with you know roughly half their lineup I think should be running on Carlos rodon who’s you know not the easiest guy to score against I would expect the Royals to try to kind of push the issue with uh with with the you know getting going on the base pass that’s Kansas City and New York let’s move to Toronto and Milwaukee next this one pretty much a tossup in the betting Market Brewers slight favorite sitting around minus 110 or so uh Colin rehea pitching for Milwaukee it’s been decent this year at least results wise not a huge believer in his uh but he does have a pretty clear split where he is uh quite a bit better against right-handed hitting many is Left-Handed hitting and the Blue Jays really don’t have many lefties to speak of dton varo their best left-handed bat but he’s he’s not a guy who really crushes righties in general the other two who probably will be in the lineup tonight Spencer Horwitz Prospect who I’m not you know don’t think is a super great hitter and then Kevin km who I don’t really play very often either so most of the Big Blue Jays bats rather are you know righties and not super excited to play those guys against Colin Rea uh and then Jose BOS pitching for Toronto uh we kind of know what to expect from him I will say on the road here he’s been much worse on the road this season than at home and that’s a a trend for buros throughout his career so kind of like the Brewers here seing some chatter about them in chat I certainly agree with it uh they’ve got some pretty good lefties in the lineup and they’re just an offense that’s done a lot of damage uh you know over the uh over the course of this young season so I’m in on the Brewers lesso in on Milwaukee uh I’m not touching either of these pitchers what about you JT Brewers and blue jays here yeah interested in the Brewers here you potentially you’re going to get five lefties in this lineup so Rio SP both on the road and then a bunch of left-handed batters a team that also will run a lot and you can certainly run on this Toronto team DC I don’t play Toronto a lot and I am probably gonna continue that tonight I I don’t have a ton of interest in Colin Ray just because you know if he gets through four Innings I think Milwaukee considers that a win and they’re happy to move on to the bullpen he um just doesn’t there’s not a lot of strikeout upside but I I guess if you needed it and you wanted to get away from Paddock it’s not the worst idea in the world um the way that this uh Toronto team is sort of lacks punch at times and but it’s it’s he’s probably not someone I’m gonna have in my pool and then I think I’m probably going to just X BOS out and not get any shares of him tonight in this matchup in with you on the Milwaukee burs yeah I think R will limit the damage here but I just don’t he’s going to get enough strikeouts to to get there in the end even at that low price one especially when you know we talked about what a great spot it is for Paddock really really good spot for Dylan CE and Logan Gilbert as well some other pitchers you know even like an Eric fety gets to face the Mariners so I just don’t think there’ll be enough strikeouts for R even if he you know limits them to one or two runs over six Innings could still only be 12 13 fantasy points just with the the way he pitches and the way the Blue Jays like you said they they definitely lack punch but they also do a very good job of of putting the ball in play yeah Toronto Bullpen this week it does look like a pretty good spot for the Brewers I think yeah we’ll get to of course Stacks at the end of the show but I definitely think they are a pretty good way to go against Brios who does kind of melt down at times when things start going South it can it can unravel for him in a hurry and the Brewers kind of have a tendency to do that the pitchers with the pressure they can put on teams on the base pass ability to make contact all that stuff so with the the Brewers definitely more interested in them than I am the Blue Jays in that game and I I like the Brewers frankly to just win that game better Bullpen I think a better matchup and uh yeah a little bit surprised that the line is as close as it is let’s get to the second half of the Slate just three more games to talk about hit the like button if you’re here enjoying this show on uh on Monday afternoon we do appreciate that and of course promo code dc15 if you do want to join us for all the winners over at run Pier Sports US Open week going to be a a fun week of golf we’ll have all the content you need over on the site over at runers sports.com all right that brings us uh all the way out to the West Coast quickly today Chicago white sock and the Seattle Mariners all these games start right around 9:40 eastern time but we will talk about Mariners white socks first we’ve got Logan Gilbert and Eric bety pitching uh Gilbert has been uh a little bit shaky or at least shakier than he was at the beginning of the Season he was amazing uh to start the year uh he like most Mariners pitchers better at home than he is on the road he is of course at home here and he does get of course the uh really rough Chicago white sock lineup they just really can’t do anything right H tough tough season for them uh and yeah Gilbert is going to be very highly owned here I assume uh is he gonna be higher owned than Dyan CE looks like no looks like CE is gonna carry the ownership I think that’s fair but I do like uh Logan Gilbert quite a bit here I think you kind of almost have to and then Eric fedy pitching for the White Soxs he actually has big home road splits as well but I’m less worried about his than you know than like the bump that Gilbert gets obviously a good place tock here in Seattle and listen it’s a great match up for fetty as well this this uh Mariners offense has been really sluggish pretty much all year long good place to pitch and uh yeah fetty’s been solid this year kind of surprisingly so so I think fetty in play at 7,800 on DraftKings of course Gilbert is at 9800 and I don’t see a ton of bats I like in this one what do you see in JT between the white sock and the Mariners yeah uh in terms of bats I don’t have a lot of interest in this game if I play a handful of stacks I would I guess lean towards Seattle first but like you mentioned it’s a pretty good pitching matchup here if you look just by the Numbers Eric Fett is the second best pitcher on this slate so far this season ahead of Logan Gilbert and ahead of Chris Paddock of course so yes there are home road splits they concern me in the past he’s had left handed bat issues that he has seemingly fixed with a little bit of a different pitch mix but the one thing I can’t get over DC is just how much this Seattle Team strikes out I mean the only pitcher that was unable to hold this team down without like seven or eight strikeouts over the weekend in Kansas city was Daniel Lynch which is what you expect so I feel pretty confident in in playing fetty here even though um he is on the road and then l gil I don’t love the 10K price point for Logan Gilbert but he is at home it is where the Mariners pitchers do their most productive work and you know the White Sox coming off a good series against Boston it’s unlikely they can keep that up in a much less friendly hitters park out in Seattle so lean on the side with both pitchers and very minimal interest in the Seattle offense yeah the uh white sock Bullpen which is really bad anyway um pretty gassed out after the last two days they Ed what I think five relievers they needed to get through the game yesterday in the previous game they used four including pretty much all their good ones in the last couple of days so if the Mariners can get to Fetti early uh I think they could potentially do some damage later in the game uh and I think that’s why you see the Mariners team tot kind of surprising up at four and a half given how well fetty’s pitched this year but I think a part A lot of that is the bullpen that could also serve to hold Betty’s ownership down right he is a big Underdog here and the Mariners do have a healthy team total which is gonna do two things it’s going to drive some ownership to Seattle and ownership away from fetty so I do think he is uh somewhat interesting as a contrarian option he’ll have some ownership 20 25% something like that but uh I do expect him to to pitch pretty well and yeah I think if you’re trying to get a little bit away from the most popular pitchers fetty is H is certainly a route that you could go uh let’s get to Oakland and the San Diego Padres up next Dylan CE versus Joey Estus two right-handed pitchers here Padre’s big favores of course sitting around minus 235 uh CE has been good this year a little bit you know less than dominant over these last four or five starts he’s had a pretty tough run of matchups as well overall but yeah 10.3k we do expect Dylan CE to be the highest own pitcher on the Slate or at least I do and then uh yeah we’ve got Joey Estus who has been okay for the most part he had one real bad start in Houston but his other four starts have been solid uh I don’t think I can do Estus I see some interest in him from the chat but padri just make a ton of contact I don’t see going to Joe EST is kind of kind of in that you know Colin rehea um grouping where I just don’t think even if he you know the results go his way the batted ball goes his way I just don’t think the strikeouts are going to be there for him against San Diego so I can’t play uh Estus but certainly CE is interesting curious where you rank CE among the you know expensive or or chalky pitchers and then uh yeah the Padre’s offense I think has to be in play here 4.6 team total for them second highest on this slate certainly an interesting way to go I think the lefties who who should probably be hitting esta SP uh over the you know the Long Haul of course the best bats on the Padres you know tatis Machado do something from the right side but yeah proar cronenworth Jackson Merrill I think is an interesting play here I think the Padres do have some interesting bat to go to uh what are you doing here JT with San Diego and Oakland yeah no jo Estus for me um it looks as if it looks as if this should be a let down start for him and for the Padres actually started to come alive offensively over the weekend in their Series against the Diamondbacks and I didn’t see if Machado got into the lineup yesterday I know he left the game on Friday night with a hamstring but one thing we have to talk about DC is is jxon profar finally turning into the player that he was expected to be I mean he has been absolutely on fire um over the course of the last week or so he’s been playing much better this season and the thing about the A’s is if you can get to their starters early you get into the middle of their Bullpen which is nowhere near as talented as the back end of their Bullpen and once you get into the middle of the A’s Bullpen it could be a long night for this Oakland team so no Estus for me um don’t think he’s sneaky at all uh free Scotty thank you for that but uh yeah I like the Padres uh as far as Dylan ciscoes DC I mean he was he pitched against the Yankees he pitched against the Royals and then he had a matchup against the Angels where we all played him and he wasn’t very very good there only 16 and a half fantasy points but at home against the A’s this is a match up where you expect him to get right right this is a matchup where you expect that 40o performance and at 50% ownership the way that I’m going to approach Dylan CE tonight is probably go above the field by about 20% and get him into 70 to 75% of my lineups and if it doesn’t work then it doesn’t work but I I mean this is a spot where the numbers the matchup everything says Dylan CE should be the highest scoring pitcher on this slate yeah I mean I’m not playing 150 tonight I don’t think um but you could certainly do worse than just I think you could just play the three pitchers CE uh Gilbert and Paddock and hope that two of them go off right and you could be in a pretty good spot that way I don’t think that would be the craziest approach I do think those guys pretty clearly in the in the best spot just such a clean matchup for all three of them that they’re kind of hard to avoid I’m with you I think going over the field on ceas and and frankly the other two guys as well does make quite a bit of sense to me you mentioned propar uh has been amazing this season kind out of nowhere I mean he’s no uh no spring chicken anymore but like you said he was at one time like a decade ago the number one Prospect in baseball uh I think he’s he’s improved for sure I do think uh kind of what he’s doing is unsustainable in the long term but certainly getting the job done right now and he does have I think one of the better matchups on paper in this entire slate so you gotta be interested in proar any other uh individual bats on the Padres that stick out yeah yeah I’ll tell I’ll tell you I’ll tell you one that I’m not playing I’m xing out of the pool that’s David Peralta David Peralta will come out of this game if a left-hander starts to stretch in in the in the Oakland dugouts so just just ex him don’t put him in your lineups please it’s not worth it um kronor is interesting Luis Aras I mean this guy’s just a hitting machine you’re not going to get a lot of power but maybe you get a couple of uh couple of a double a single a couple of stolen bases that wouldn’t be too bad um and Hassan Kim down at the bottom 4K short stop I I think this is a good stack today yeah I like Jackson Merill quite a bit he’s been hitting well hits righties well in general and I’ll say this about Lisa R you know this is a shorter slate than normal the fewer games that are on the Slate the more playable someone like AR becomes right because if you get a 12 game slate it’s really hard for me to play in because you’re probably going to have a first baseman that hits two home runs and he’s just not going to be able to compete you get down to a six game slate and you know the 14 15 fantasy points that arise provides might be enough uh at first base on a shorter slate especially on a slate that we don’t necessarily expect the ton of offense so I do think he’s more in play on this site than he typically is I don’t often play him I just because the lack of upside and power and all that but uh today in this matchup leading off I do think he makes some sense for sure last game on the Slate then let’s talk about Houston and San Francisco this one of course in San Francisco we’ve got Spencer arag Getti pitching for the Houston Astros uh he’s been pretty good he’s he had that really rough start uh to to kick off his season back on April 10th against Kansas City he’s been good since then uh just nine fantasy points in his last game but he was removed early in that one was actually pitching decently well against St Louis got hit on the calf with the line drive removed from the game H but looks like he should be good to go didn’t miss any time or anything like that so I wouldn’t expect any lingering effects and I think he should be back around his normal 90ish pitches that you typically see out of him uh I don’t hate him here as a contrarian option this Giants lineup is really not any good there’s plenty of strikeouts to be had and Eric’s been a decent strikeout arm like I said removed early in the last start but he did have four strikeouts already when he got pulled and in the three games prior to that you know eight strikeouts seven and six strikeouts he has had in general very favorable matchup so um you know maybe you take it with somewhat of a grain OFA but this is a favorable favorable matchup as well great place to pitch strike out heavy lineup I think arag Getti if you’re trying to get away from the from the chalk is the is the decent way to go um and then Kyle Harrison no real interest for me there even pitching in San Francisco just hasn’t looked super great strikeouts haven’t been there for the most part and Houston offense is not what it once was still a somewhat dangerous offense to go up against so probably out on Harrison more interest in edti uh what’s the team the total in this one sitting at eight and basically toss up in the batting line uh over to you JT who do you like in Astros and Giants it’s an interesting match right it’s a park that we don’t like to Target a lot for bats it’s much more of a pitcher friendly Park especially at night with these games on the west coast if you’re looking to go lower than Paddock I mean I guess arag Getti is your guy here with the strikeout rate the one thing I’ll mention in favor of the Giants this is another team that we have a Challen with in terms of pinch hitting right well there are no lefties outside of Josh hater in this Astros Bullpen and so I if you’re gonna stack the Giants you want to try and take advantage of nights or days where you think that there’s going to be less of an opportunity or a reason in their minds to pinch hit um that’s the only case I can make for the Giants they did do a little bit of damage in Texas over the weekend um some good matchups there I don’t have a ton of interest there I do have some interest here in Houston against Kyle Harrison Harrison has been pretty bad I mean I guess he’s had you know a run of you know Philly and Arizona his last two starts obviously teams that put the ball in play but I think this Houston team is is interesting from the perspective that they’re going to be one of the lower owned teams here on the Slate just between four and 5% on many of these guys and then that Bullpen did have to do a little work over the weekend in Texas as well so I’ll have some arag Getti probably have more Astros than Giants and no Harrison for me tonight yeah we’ve got certainly a similar approach to that one yeah people asking about tatis in the previous game of course yeah tatis certainly in play on the Slate I mean yeah you’re not stacking the Padres without tatis I didn’t didn’t know that we needed to spend a lot of time on a guy who uh is one of the best players in the game but uh yes yes he’s in play yes absolutely uh that’s all six games let’s get to the stacks pitchers home runs favorite plays overall and we’ll probably get on out of here a little bit early work on those lineups and uh hopefully pick some winners uh JT I will give you the floor favorite stack and favorite contrarian stack on this s yeah um Steph kryon wants to tell us that Vogal back is in the lineup for Toronto so that is um that is news favorite stack here um look they’re G to be popular I guess I’ll go I’ll go with the less popular one um and I’ll say that it is the Milwaukee Brewers against Jose buos I like that stack quite a bit and then for a contrarian stack it’s the Houston Astros all right I’ll pick a couple of different ones uh favorite overall stack is GNA be the Padres against Joey SS I think they’ll be one of the more popular teams tonight for good reason in my opinion and then contrarian sacks gonna be the Brew or not the Brewers the the Royals I do like the Brewers as well but the Royals against Ron they’ve got in my opinion the profile to have success speed contact ability and you know team that’s just playing good ball this year so I do like the Royals quite a bit against Carlos Ron uh most important picture for you on this slate JT who’s it gonna be I mean I I I hate to take the chalk picture but if I’m going way over the field on Dylan CE then he’s simply going to be the most important player in any of my lineups tonight so uh I’ll say Dylan ceas yeah kind of a question you just gotta answer with with what you’re actually doing so yeah makes sense filling CE there uh I’ll have plenty of CE but Chris Paddock down at 7100 does provide some savings and uh hard for me not to keep picking on this Colorado offense especially of course away from C’s field uh home run call who’s going deep tonight JT um Hunter rro Hunter rro for the Kansas City Royals love it I will go with Mr Trevor L for the twins going to be popular down at 4K but I think he’s got a good chance to take Dakota Hudson yard in that first game of the night uh and finally your favorite overall offensive player on the Slate uh well David Porter’s favorite offensive player overall is Fernando tatis I just that seems very clear yes he he he is and and he is certainly a good play but I will go I will go on the Padres with a different player and say that jxon profar is my favorite offensive player on the S all right profar good call there I will go with Michel Garcia who’s gonna get going on the base pass get a couple hits I think against Rodan and get that Royals offense going early against uh against the Lefty Rodan all right that’ll do it for this show we do appreciate all you guys watching of course got a nice big Full Slate tomorrow on Tuesday I’m sure we’ll see a bunch of you guys there uh for a more robust slate than this one is but hopefully uh we’ll get to The Winner Circle tonight and uh we will be back tomorrow for Mr JT Hayes I’m draft cheat we’re out of here [Music]
