you let the knees support you and you collect that on the way they should let’s see if they will do what we want to do push it away keep turning well done very good very [Music] good okay Mr Mike Emory tell us a little bit about where you’re at with your game some of the things you’re struggling with and some of the piece you like to improve well struggling with yeah kind of consistency um I’ve just pretty recently got back into golf so I’ve been taking a few lessons just trying to work on getting that more consistent swing just fixing some fundamentals and yeah that’s kind of where I’m at I’ve been out on the path three course a few times but it’s the aim after kind of winter to get back out on the course and just play some competitions some wmart rounds yeah you’ve only you’ve only had what four lessons yeah four four lessons very good all right off you go let’s do a couple and see what you got I have played before those four less oh I see yeah I’m not a brand new golf oh your golf had a pause yeah a little bit of a pause you’re like Adele you had a couple of years off did you okay all right so Mike when when you don’t hit him perfect at the Target any tendency for you in terms of missing left or missing right it’s a good question probably left at the moment more left okay yeah definitely left at the moment so let me let me Demo So you you’re right-handed and you got a very strong right hand grip so this takes over and you just lift it here right and then it all goes so you’re not really coiling or got any width here so if we can give you we feel like you just get you to there as opposed to lifting see your hands are like this and then cuz when they throw they want to go further away from your body and then they want to go that way so we want to try and do it with a chest trunk mhm yeah so one very simple thing I want want you to try and do we’re I’m going to put a little diddy TEEG like here behind off your right foot so if if you simply can brush that and keep going that’s going to get you here as opposed to here big difference look at the club f is up there as opposed to bom about there so that is huge difference to start off with so I think we start with that if you can just concentrate and then just clip that and go through that for start let’s try that for starters for a couple just do as simple as that just just collect that little thing and keep going so that’s going to keep you down you know you can’t pick it up so I’m going got to just just touch it just push it away keep turning well done very good okay do a couple of those pull that thing here back to about your right toe yeah that’s great so stay down scrape it very good that helped already much better width on the way back yeah we got we’ve already got a cuz you must be losing a if you’re coming that way we’ve already gained a foot more Club head art same thing yeah do one more why not yeah just really feel that scrape very good I me you’re going with it already Okay so cuz this has been here say same old problem right-handed golfers just go very much right handed so we want to liven up the the left side put another put another ball in there so you’re going to do the scrape and then as you go through we want to CU it cuz before it was kind of lifty and around the corner so we’re going to go scrape and we’re going to extend so we’re going to try and head towards that golf ball do it slowly let’s do one slow and touch and then let that’s a great and then let that keep that going make sure you see that see see we’re actually lift your left foot off the ground you can’t so you even though you’ve done all that what you’ve done is you’ve you’ve twisted not transferred anywhere your weight’s still here yeah isn’t it so the hardest thing for you to is to let a little bit of weight go so this so a trick would be start with your take your dress now lift your left heel off the ground but take your weight off it yeah there you go so put the weight in there get that heel off the ground so you still got weight on it 80% 20% can you do it without leaning yeah that’s a hard that’s so funny how people really struggle look put I’ve got can you do that so my weight is on my right knee can you yeah we about get that weight off that left leg a bit so that’s your first little fun lesson when you’re in the kitchen and the wife will say what are you doing so I want you to be able to stand so without cheating and swaying can you just move your weight to there and so I can take my weight so I’m only I’m 80% 20 I’m just doing that to support myself can you do that’s different that’s good yeah yeah so stay there St can you do that right right just hit one from there just turn just scrape it hit it oh well done okay don’t worry about the that was way better leg action way better leg action so that’s that’s one big long-term project stuning you know cuz if you’re loading to you know if you if I ask you to throw if I asked you to throw that you would not stand there and go like that cuz you’re going to so I said do that 100 times you do your back in so you’d go h i can why does the pitcher do that that’s exactly what the pitch is doing is he takes his weight off there plants it down and throws it you want to have the same image in the go spr can I get here here like that put it back down bom that’s your big image so for for a short IR just lean it over load this fella and then just turn onto that knee right go you hit one more like that feel that left heel get really light yeah yeah right and then go just get the and then just let it go okay well done so feel that little bit of stretch just let it go nice and smooth not trying to just make the body moved see you missed the you went over the top of it so that you know that’s going to be your first little you know with the winter coming up I do this bit by bit like you can have fun by putting a little something on the floor know tegs or anything you want to just get this first move working you see how all the good things that are happening here the weights come around the knees still there the weight’s coming off this just a little move to there will be a lovely little drill so turn it the belly so make sure you turn the belly as well that’s what we want to do yeah so and that you’re going to work on your grip a little bit mhm cuz that’s you know cuz it’s too too much like so so just turn your belly make sure you turn your belly as you go there you go that’s a cool little drill so this is a good this is a good feeling put that in your belly and hold it right and there’s there’s your little back swing you see how everything has to if I if my belly stays still I I lose the connection so I want belly and it’s going into there so you’re just trying to rock the weight onto that right knee Club into your belly Club in the belly and then yeah that’s it mhm go stance bend your knees right that’s the important bit so turn that’s it that’s all we’re trying to do let the weight go boom let it all go Just Let It Rock there you go so that will be a great move you do that 101 times in the morning let it go keep that knee forward so when you look down M you should see your knee cap about there yeah and stays there you see that yeah oh yeah oh that’s a different feeling oh yeah okay we let me see where I’m looking yeah I’m looking about there my kneecaps about there can go back as tweet yeah but that’s different isn’t that yeah that’s a they’re very good but let the weight go don’t go like this there you go feel a weight move just Let It Rock there you go back keep the knee over that oh that’s tricky get it and then you just just a little bit it’s all it is just to there that’s all you got to do you can get this bit mastered then there you go now good good good correction you looked at that thought so now you can feel that yeah let let this come as well so let this just come over a little bit that will help it cuz if that stays here that’s automatically going to suck that way isn’t it so just let the knees go left knee goes towards the right but the right stays there and you get all of that in one lovely move look at that so see that’s the goal if you get to there well that that’s it then you just keep turning and set the club and you’ve set the whole body up but soon as you’ve done this all your angles are wrong and then everything boom and then and then guess what takes over the strongest muscle which is your right arm you come over the top so it’s now watch that that’s the key and let that go towards that just let the knees let it soften it now without swaying you can you can move your knee over without swaying look look at that don’t that’s what we’re doing you’re letting it go but that’s staying there that’s coming over see that gets the weight off it then it’s a tough little move that is tricky but it is so key a quicker way to get that feeling is squat make a back swing and squat there you go see look what happens now but get the weight off that leg don’t squat here squat there squat where the weight 80% is there please there you go feel it okay that the the better weird but better yeah very weird but that’s just that’s just to wait the Sens is up it’s not your gold but that’s that’s what it’s trying to if you came down here and when bang that’s what these guys are doing now so they you know you got to load it you can’t load it here because this thing wants to get out the way cuz it’s going to hurt yourself and that’s when we get all sorts of weird don’t have to go too far just that’s far enough boom no more needed dong see now you got completely different leg action so that take you know it’s right back to your a time that’s going to take a bit of time but that’s your that’s your winter drill to number one if you if you let the knees support you and you collect that on the way they should let’s see if they will do what we want to do so really scrape it hard knock that thing away and keep going n scre you missed it you missed it want you to hit that makes a big difference because if you pick it up it will go left so knock knock that Blooming Thing away just give it a push scrape that let it drag you over go got to be very deliberate deliberate hit it and go close so what you’ve done before it’s all right sided isn’t it it’s right side right side so now we got to get down and get some more left side little bit more pressure in that left thumb pressure in the left thumb yeah scrape it and imagine you’re going to give it a good hit with the back of your left hand on hit it back through it your back of the left hand get some speed in that oh go on hit it knock it away ah voila voila voila okay yeah so this Fella’s doing too much work mhm you lift it too much so this very now it’s a big opposite it’s like down and whack it with this fell yeah right try one without the the tea thing hear the scrape you can hear it you can hear it scratch the uh the grass scrape and back of that left hand smack it with that that’s all right a little fat but it wasn’t a hooky fat I think those are pretty good you want to do one more maybe one more hit with that same feel mhm scrape scrape now feel the weight going to that right knee let’s it conscious and then whack it with that left hand there you go oh that was a yeah that felt nice that was the nice feeling the next part see again right hand’s very dominant so the right hand does all the work you see here now we got to get this and this in sync to the chest chest and left hand have got to do a lot more work Lots lot more this there as opposed to boom I always love I love speed of the buttons on your shirt so scrape turn buttons on your shirt speed y then we going yeah got lots of got that mechanical man there you go look at that yeah three yards less yeah yeah so it’s a sequence mhm okay so your winter practice will be no arms I used to do so many of these so put the club here right cross your arms like so you got a hold of it now so if you just simp if you feel the weights already a little bit on your right side right then just squat just go down right so now your knees are locked aren they now make your back swing now look you lost him you lost him and right start again so down down and can you make it look you got to b a turn and keep him there you can’t this is not a turn cuz your weight’s still here right put the weight over there I can do that you got to be able to do that okay can you do that lift your left heel off the ground oh yeah right and then when you go through yeah tough isn’t it but you know that’s where it’s got to be it’s got to feel like I can I can Squat and lift this off the ground T that’s now you feel it right in your right butt Che yeah yeah yeah right okay so come back up do a little squat little one there and then it’s all buttons on your shirt goes whack to the Target no arms because your arms already moving fast enough if you can get this to go there and then you finish like so face the target release then release that foot there you go so go all the way it’s like a squat and release Squat and release that’s easy move look at that Squat and release cuz you don’t have to we want these to follow just do Diddy squat you’re going like this too far just squat from here down there you go Squat and turn and to the Target that’s better wo that’s better
