and here’s a thing um you take I I like your back swing I will tell you this if there was anything and this is where I might give Kev I oh not might I’m going to give Kev a little little bit of credit um Kev goes hey do we need to dress that right arm at all and what he meant was the giving blood position the shaking hands the holding the tray follow me on this if my right arm’s stiff and then it breaks this way it keeps the hands lower Watch What Happens from just pushing That Elbow underneath my hands do you see how my hands without me doing anything actually got higher from them from just being in the right position so the next part of that would be not to stiffen it up this is not a stiffening move it’s a soft move I’m soft but I’m just pulling it in towards this arm a little bit and what I’m doing is when I’m halfway back notice my right elbow’s right underneath my right shoulder so what happens when I turn my elbow stays underneath my hands and that’s what allows me to prop my hands up there not from ever feeling like I lift it up so like the garbage instruction out there that tells people oh get your hands up get your hands up it’s like no run run you want to always turn your hands to the top what makes that happen is the structure of the right elbow watch my right elbow guys ready for this one watch my hand height that’s all just where that elbow is that props my hands up so you know rehearsal what can you get out of that I have two checkpoints that really I honestly came up with this year as checkpoints I never used to use these as checkpoints I always talked about elbows together I’ve talked about giving blood shaking hands holding the tray forever but two really easy checkpoints to see for a player are halfway back the elbow remaining underneath the shoulder and not wide of It Wide ends up being like that mhm okay the elbow under the shoulder and then the elbow more underneath the hands and not too wide of the hands like we see so many do but Adam did that look flippy at the bottom with the hands not too bad you know I think like that one thing that you’re going to have to keep working on CU here here’s the one thing I do notice like before you you would get this look where you would start to raise up and understand this the minute that that chest goes up butt goes in chest goes up what do the arms have to do extend the club down to get to the ball like watch if I’m lower and I extend the club down to get to the ball I hit back here so when I’m lower look what I’m forced to do right but the minute that I am in this position and I’m up I would miss the top of the golf ball so you know for you the lower you’ll stay in it and the more your hands move let’s define what in front of the body is right side the more my hands stay in front of my body the combination of staying in your posture and doing that that’s the anti flip that’s the left arm dominant swing you know a lot of people find a lot of success who’ve tossed it with their right for so long feeling the left be dominant because it’s really impossible to just do that it’s really hard when you’re pulling the handle through right yeah so you know for you if you watch here and that’s where slowing it down will help you just getting here and going okay hip and chest left shoulder back to right foot left hand pulls the handle through as I rotate that left hip back behind me okay yep go to the top of the Swing now beautiful okay so here’s going to be the key as these guys come down this guy’s opening up and then you’re hitting that wall simultaneously as this guy reaches maximum yep the maximum point back there good good good good now hey stay right there I had a question from one of our viewers the other day that wanted me to answer this question what happens when you Hammer the nail here from here so as this hip continues to go back remember I said there’s a wall here that club face is indicative of this hand right so what does that that hand need to do it needs to turn and smack up against that wall if I keep dragging the handle through I’m wide open but from here that thing smacks up against the wall and that’s not a flip that’s just think about it like this guys you know you’re turning this way they don’t your arms aren’t going to go the opposite direction they they have clockwise rotation for a right-handed golfer with that direction of your body’s turn well guess what they have to do on the way back they got to get back there so when I hammer that nail in the wall right here it’s yeah but watch as I keep that left hip moving back the back of that hand smacks up against that wall too okay and that’s for some people the knuckles down feeling that Hogan talked about um you know I I try to be as least manipulative as possible you know what’s funny here’s the thing about golf it’s so difficult to teach for a lot of people right you have some people that turn the heck out of it so what do they need to do they need to hammer that nail all the way through here yeah because that’ll stabilize the face for them and help them and then you have others who take that literally and actually do pull it through and leave it like that well then they need to feel the Knuckles turn to the ground that’s where I would tell all of our viewers who struggle with that stuff break it down to this drill get to that set position get right here and work on the proper rotation and the feeling you personally need to achieve hip all the way back to maximum depth with that lead hand and right hand smacking that imaginary Wall go up to the top good bring the hands down right in here okay and this maybe Square them on up right but like that’s where you want to feel like your head stays in the same spot as that hip goes back exactly that’s why I need you rehearsing like crazy that’s exactly right it’s funny cuz it’s like for as tucked as mine is it’s super soft soft it’s like the tension more is in my shoulder blade I feel like it’s more of an external rotation of the shoulder I feel my shoulder blade always kind of tucked into my spine does that make sense like I feel like that blade is you know kind of like this you know tucked into my spine but this arm is real soft and it just feels like and that keeps me in that shallow position here also keeps my hands in front of my body Center I’m trying to feel I used to do this you you’re doing a great job of that now I would continue to work on that feeling you know I would continue to work on you know like like heel pad pushing down slightly trigger fingers and thumbs up like that’s the feel and you want to do that if you want to keep because I know you can handle all of it do you do that with this arm soft every ready go halfway back and see how I’m keeping it more in front of you here turn to the top see how I’m keeping it right here yeah and then look where it is on the way through and then you know what I mean yeah oh dude dude these are so much this is excellent advice for golfers under 60. As a senior playing in Senior tournaments that this much side bend will put seniors in traction. I love this guy but his instruction is NOT geared toward the seasoned golfer.
