Cody Blick, a Korn Ferry Tour player is working toward getting his PGA Tour card. He had a good year in 2023, but before the season even started, his playing future was in doubt. I’m Cody Blick corn fairy Tour player and I prepared for the season with fiber buol golf Cody Blick a corn fairy Tour player is working toward getting his PGA Tour card he had a good year in 2023 but before the season even started his playing future was in [Music] doubt getting injured is devastating you know the first injury was six pulled muscles in my back and two stress fractures on my spine and then a sprain on my wrist and to be sideline like that it it it kills there were moments where I didn’t know if I was going to come back and play golf so coming into the 2023 season you know I I had aches pains and and an injury and wasn’t able to prepare the way I wanted to couldn’t hit balls couldn’t couldn’t really move the way I wanted to move as a guy that loves to practice and beat balls you know I I was you know worried about how far I was going to go with it and I I started slowly and I I found my buddy that had the simulator and he just happened to have this fiber built mat and he said you know come hit some balls see how you feel and you know you’re not taking divots you’re not taking wet heavy divots so it it there’s low impact on your body which is you know for a golfer those are magic words so I went played around a golf with him I felt totally fine after came back the next day I started hitting some wedges and and getting some numbers and Swinging again and I just slowly ramped it up to a full full practice routine and to be honest I was practicing indoors for weeks before I even went outside that transition from inside to outside was seamless and that’s what I found so cool about these mats is I could be beating balls in here and there’s low impact on my body and I can take it outside and it it performs the same and I I think that is invaluable once I realized that I could hit balls on this mat for hours I kind of let loose a little bit and um I would run through the bag and um the cool thing with the mat is that you then get to go on the golf course in the simulator and I was playing rounds of golf and I think that’s where a lot of the the important feedback came from was playing rounds on the Sim knowing I’m hitting realistic shots and beating balls all day long and um just playing golf again finding a simulator with with the fireb built mat allowed me to practice and I eased my way into it and started small and and worked my way up and I was able to get some reps in and fortunately it was very very similar to what I was going to see on the golf course and kind of prepared for my season that way the whole year turned around quick I got off to a hot start finished second second in the first two events and we were off running because I was able to prepare yes it was indoors but I was able to prepare for these tournaments and and get tournament ready [Music]
