this is the new tailor made Performance Set we’re going to take you in here today we’re going to run you through a full B fit it’s crazy I hope I do it well man here’s the fun part we get to start filling in some of those gaps both in the top part of the bag and the bottom part of the bag so um looking at your bag right now you really have just like two wedges and then you kind of have a long iron a rescue a fairway wood well I I’m illegal right now I have too many clubs so glad we got that on camera I am illegal right now I’ve I’ve been going back and forth between this and my 3-wood yeah my 3-wood is not very kind to me this is probably going to be your new favorite gap wedge um so from a gapping perspective here um your pitching wedge is going to come in at about 46° so as we’re starting to look through the bag trying to find that 4 5° of Separation you’re at 46 50 is going to sit right there and from there that’s where player preference really comes into play um let’s hit a couple with the 50 we’ll hit a couple 54s and then um from a bounce perspective we we’ve got a few different 58s you can hit here yeah that’s pretty that’s your number that’s pretty solid distance for cuz my pitching wedge is usually like the lowest I like to hit it is like 150 I feel like if I try and go any underneath that I’m getting like 2 fely with it mhm but pitching W is usually like 160 to 150 so it’s like I do have that interesting Gap from like 150 to 140 where that’s like a little dicey range for me everybody has a gap in that part of the bag and it’s so hard I think we’re going to minimize that for you having that four degrees of separation there it’s you’re going to feel like that Gap is going to go away completely yeah that one fell really good this distance is solid and even those are like sometimes my M with a wedge if I get steep just high and spinny but that even got the 120 right there all right here’s the 54 and then I’ll see you hit some 58s here and kind of see is it a full swing club is the one you use mostly around the greens there we go better shot you also have to look at the player from like a distance perspective if it’s something where they want to make sure that they’re hitting their wedges a little bit further that’s when they’ll move into a club like that so um knowing that these are F shots for you you’re seeing a few different numbers you’re going to hit different shots mg4 is going to do a better job of that for you so we’ve got a few different options in 58 we’ve actually got seven different or six different wedges in this family here um so love to know a little bit about the golf courses that you typically play are they soft are they firm for the most part I pretty firm especially around the greens mhm yeah I’d say like what I struggle with the most is like those firm chip shots around the green you know so I’m going to stretch you in in a couple of the standard bounces here sweet I’m going to give you a little bit lower bounce option here this is going to be the lbv so you can see it has a little bit sharper Leading Edge almost that vshape to the sole of it um this is going to be a a pretty low bounce option here so if the golf courses are pretty firm um this is a good one to take out there yeah that feels good this thing just like cuts off I kind of like the look of it how sharp it is though yeah so when you put that on the ground you’re not going to see that Leading Edge get very high it’s going to see pretty pretty flush down there which is nice honestly might be something that you like to look at I feel like it was like thin as I can get these from a visual standpoint it’s better for me for like not seeing so I’m going to give you the the SPC so that’s got more of a C- shape to it where that Leading Edge um it won’t sit as low as that that V will um but there’s just a little bit of relief on the back side to to get it sit lower especially with that SBC the more you open it up in the bunker it’s going to provide some heal relief where um you’re going to get some good bounce out of it versus just digging too much yeah I mean this one feels good and I think I think the more like versatile Club I can have just cuz I do play all over the country it’s probably better yeah and take around green and even around the country yeah this one feels really good love it and uh we’re going to put the dynamic Gold T ratio s400s in there so something a little bit heavier that pairs up really well with half inch still on those too yeah half inch on all of them so um we’re going to move into the irons next cool so I know you’ve been sitting here looking at the 770s and the 790s I’d love for you to take me through them because I don’t really know much about the T IRS for sure so the cool thing about these 770 and 790s is that they’re a hollow cavity foam filled iron here so it’s a forge face that’s on these and then we inject a foam inside the head that foam really supports that thin face there so we’re able to get a really good feel out of it but distance and forgiveness at the same time so as you look and compare these two heads they’re a little bit different shape and look to them so 77 is going to be a little bit shorter blade length 790 a little bit longer um but the Loft package between the two is a little bit different so we talked a lot about Loft and in the driver fitting we’ll do the exact same thing and make sure you get you’re playing the right lofted iron here and possibly even end up in a combo set between the two of them interesting all right so these things are just so heavy on their own it’s pretty good right there whoever was hitting that before was making good contact and I know the irons you were fit into before they were just a little bit overlined so I’m going to start you with something that’s comfortable there and we’ll kind of address that and see if that’s a good length for you do you said over length yeah I got I’m tall with short arms like that went really high jeez I freaking smoked that I think you got me over here swinging for the fences with my driver now I feel I hey we we found some confidence we’re going to take that and and bring it into the irons even that one was a little to still not bad yeah so from a distance perspective we would expect that the 790 is going to launch just a little bit further than 770 will so I’m going to put the 770 on there cuz yeah I don’t even need all that um when you’re hitting 7 iron 215 that we don’t need that that might be too far yeah all right so this is 770 here little bit different Loft between the two about on average throughout the set about 2 and a half degrees so this will launch higher yep launch a little bit higher so a little bit weaker all good height to that one what was the height there that was pretty good is that normal spin for like a seven iron 56 right there yeah so 56 if I could see a living low sixes I think that would be pretty good um the one thing like looking at your launch angle right now it’s just a little bit low um so we need to keep an eye on that and just kind of make sure that when you hit this it’s still going to land on the green and stay there versus kind of roll yep awesome yeah that might go in sounds right I mean I think I’ve just tried to put an emphasis so hard on not hitting spinny shots that I’m the other way yeah I think you’re just so used to seeing things just so low so like if we look at something here so if we look at your angle of a desent um so as we’re looking through these different irons the closer you are to 40 the more more optimized it’s going to be so we’re in a good place already just kind of putting a couple irons into your hands so that’s telling me that when you hit a shot it’s going to land on the green and pretty much stay in that vicinity um and it’s not going to kind of float or rise on you too much at the same time so this these are my numbers or these are these are your numbers here okay cool so love love to see that we’re in a really really good range already um and we haven’t really done anything to that iron yet sweet that one feel like it came out good didn’t push my hands too far forward 52 yeah so I I like that launch angle at 14 right there okay I know that’s where you and I have kind of challenged each other a little bit about um the height that we see take all so I think we can probably both agree the 790 it might just go too far for you yeah um this one we’re seeing a little bit better carry this in total distance better angle of descent um it’s kind of checking some of the boxes that we’re looking for here so love to see that right off the bat for sure I’m going to put in just a little bit different shaft here something similar to like we did with the driver okay you were in a shaft before that really just doesn’t have too much feel just like when we started in vent’s black and it was super boardy feeling this one’s going to just feel a little bit softer um could help the launch could help just a little bit of spin as well that felt good just a little bit of a pull mhm so when I talking about descent angle is that this it it’s the golf ball and how it it’s the golf ball okay the angle that the golf Ball’s following on to the green so that’s said that’s if I’m going to have lower spin the more descent angle I can have the better right there we go yeah good launch good spin angle descent was 44 that was great yeah yeah this feels [Music] great going yeah much much better launch angle so you’re about 2 and a half degrees higher than where we started Okay cool so I I like that better spin rates have kind of stayed the same which is good yeah awesome that was a little thin and even that so one other thing you may or may not have noticed but that shaft is just a little bit shorter than what you are currently playing yeah I can feel it for versus a full inch okay does do you think this looks fine with just a half I I think it does um sometimes going a little bit too long scares me for what reason uh consistency okay just the longer the club that you put in your hands the the chance of returning it square is a little bit harder each and every time also from a distance perspective as well the longer the club the further you’re going to hit it so if we can kind of tighten up both ends of things yeah that’s still going 200 in the air for a 7even hour right there we go that’ll get some height on it yeah that starting line is awesome so something else that can happen too is the longer the club that you play the more right it will play as well at the same time so um I haven’t changed L angle whatsoever given that it is a little bit longer Club um but when you were in an inch over you were pulling everything it was starting left and staying left yeah this is kind of starting online just a little bit more so we use length to to change L angle a little bit okay so what I’m going to do now I’m going to give you that inch over but I’m I’m going to make it just a little bit flat okay cuz your starting Direction has been extremely consistent starting just a little right it’s a little better than driver so we just talked a little bit about length in irons we kind of went back and forth between a/ inch and a full inch um what we noticed when we went back into that inch that you were hitting a couple a little bit heavier starting Direction was starting to go a little bit left how do you feel about that that half inch I like it I’ve always felt like I was hunched over the ball with shorter clubes but I think I’m in a better spot with my stance and positioning where the/ inch feels better and doesn’t feel like I’m crowding it or going over it I felt like it was more consistent yeah I was taking a look at your posture it looks like you’re in in a good stance there which is something I always like to look at so um I know we didn’t talk about Li angle a ton but one thing I’m constantly looking at is that starting Direction um when I started saw it starting left your target that’s why I kind of went away from an inch down to a/ inch that helped flatten things out and then starting Direction was right on target um we don’t need to CH theof there we don’t need to CH the just we’ll just go half in over I think you’ll be in good shape with that I like it so all right so the iron that we landed on here it’s p770 um it’s going to have a dynamic Gold Tour issue X100 very popular shaft out there on tour numbers kind of spoke to it as well um standard Loft standard light and then just a half inch long on there sweet so he
