welcome back to golf thex’s winning what’s in the bag where this week we are celebrating Robert McIntyre’s win at the 2024 RBC Canadian open congratulations to him awesome win and as usual we start at the top so this one here he’s playing the titlist tsr2 it’s a 9° head and this is in the D4 surefit setting which means he’s adding 75 de of Loft and keeping the lie angle the same now the tsr2 is the more forgiving Model A little bit higher launching a little bit higher spinning compared to the tsr3 both models though are used on tour pretty regularly now he’s a shafted up with the legendary graphite design Tour AD DI this that’s the orange shaft with the kind of the white upper section the white Rings up near the handle made famous by plenty of players over the years still a ton of people playing it uh it is the Tour AD DI 7x uh and funny thing di stands for Deep Impact uh so that’s a 70 G version in xflex it’s kind of a mid High launch shaft with a low spin and again like I said been around for a long time in a number of really high-profile players bags over the years we move into 3-wood and he has actually has a Cobra aerrow Jet LS so this is a low spin model it’s 14 1.2 de he’s playing it in the standard hosle setting and he’s got the 12 G heavier weight in the heel and the lighter 3 G weight in the toe interesting enough those are the weights that actually believe come with at retail uh but he’s got those still in the sole of it uh this is shafted up with another graphic design tour uh Tour AD DI but this time the 8 X so the 80 g version and when you move into these as the D as they get heavier they tend to be a little bit lower launching uh but still low spin so this turns into kind of mid- launch low spin shaft 85 G uh 2.9 de of torque for a hybrid he’s using the tailor made stealth 2 rescue and this is the 19 Dee head and this is the the bonded huzzle one not the the uh the tour not the one with the adjustable hle the really compact one this is kind of the standard little bit higher launching a little bit longer Heel To Toe a little bit shallower face on it uh and this is actually shafted up I bet you’re being going to be surprised now graphite design Tour AD DI 105x this is the hybrid version of the 105x these again you’ll see them in utility irons and hybrids all over tour they are basically mid- launch low mid spin shafts extremely smooth extremely consistent uh have been around forever still easily going in a lot of bags so definitely haven’t been outplayed by anything new uh this comes in at about 109 G and 2.3 de of pork in this 105 model Now we move into irons and for his 4 through n iron he’s playing the Titleist 620 CB so yes this is the kind of uh single we call it the single piece Forge cavity back that Titus makes but a little bit more compact uh he has a lefty uh so I mean all these shots here you probably notice so far that he’s a lefty but playing four through n in there uh very soft very responsive cavity back irons these are shafted up with the of course True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour issue X100 shafts again these things are kind of low launch low spin about 130 G and the big thing about the tour issue compared to retail is that they’re weight sorted to within 0.5 G plus or minus so every shaft is basically within one gram of each other which is pretty pretty extensive weight sorting uh when you get done through the nineiron for pitching wedge he’s actually using a titlist vogi sm10 4610 F this has been really common and it was interesting talking to Davis Riley uh after his win last week I got to interview him and asked him about playing a vogi sandwich and for him it’s actually a look thing for him it just gives him more confidence to be a little bit more aggressive and it looks more like the rest of his wedges and he can go attack pins some players like that some players use it for specific launch and spin reasons that they put Aoki in uh as opposed to the 620 CB that would match the Set uh and also some people you know if they’re going to use it around the green it can be a little bit more versatile so he’s using the 4610 F and that is shafted up with a True Temper Dynamic gold X1 100 in the black onyx finish which is kind of the shiny black finish that uh that that True Temper makes for wedge shafts now his next wedge is a gap wedge and it is a Titleist vogi but an sm9 so the previous generation in the 50.8 F grind so this is the gap wedge in the lower bounce model the F grind is the full soulle so great for full shots or shots where you’re keeping the wedge Square to the Target and he’s got this shafted up with a slightly sof or the same shaft as the irons and pitches wedge U that’s a true temp True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour isue X100 again in black onyx I like the black onyx I think it looks really cool and it’s actually a little bit more durable than you would think I know some of the older ones uh they used to have a kind of a smoke version that kind of chipped and peeled away the black onyx holds up uh much much better so moving to sand wedge and he’s back to the Titleist vogi again an sm9 the previous Gem and he’s got a 56.10 s grind so the S grind is uh similar to the F grind but they take some of the trail edge off it uh that way you can kind of open the face up a little bit more it gets you the turf just a little bit faster while still having all the benefits of that kind of full wide Sole for float in the sand and uh for reduced digging in softer Turf uh this is shafted up with the slightly softer Dynamic gold this is the True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour issue S400 black onyx same finish same uh screen uh silk screen label uh just the S400 version which adds a couple grams and is a little bit softer then we move into the lob wedge and it is the Titleist vogi wedge Works 60.8 K grind now the K grind is kind of that full soulle really wide uh it’s great for playing the the wedge Square uh you can open it the Leading Edge comes off a little bit but it’s great out of the Trap uh super easy out of the bunker uh and this is shafted up with a True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour issue S400 black onyx as well so all the wedges whether it’s pitching wedge down to lob wedge all the black onyx True Temper Dynamic Golds uh I think they look really cool and especially if you’re using raw heads after a patini you get this really nice kind of dark wedge dark head finish um then we move into his Putter and his putter is a tailor made spider tour so the newer kind of released one uh we don’t have inhand photos of it I know it’s a spider tour I can’t really see exactly what the sight lines look like on it but this is the one that kind of has the original look to it has little like jet engines on the back the little wings coming out uh that putter there it has also has just a slight slant neck to it as well to add just a little bit of tow hang to it I don’t know exactly uh what the face insert is uh it looks to probably be a pure roll uh but I don’t have close enough inhand shots to know if that is the case uh that is and that has a super stroke zenergy pistol grip on it I don’t again since I don’t have inhand photos uh I don’t know if it’s like a 1.0 or a two or a 2.0 uh but it does have a zenergy pistol grip on it so when we can get that uh we will definitely update the website and the article with uh the size of grip and all that but it is a tailor made spider tour so high Moi Mallet a little bit of tow hang and if it’s got the pure roll great forward roll uh and really uh smooth uh less less hop hopping and skitting uh at impact for grips it’s interesting so in the woods he’s going to use golf Pride’s Zord uh the the Zord so the very firm very rough Zord grip it’s a rubber grip that actually has kind of a cotton thread that runs through it great in humid weather sweaty hands very rough heavy texture very firm grip uh so people get a lot of feedback and then in his uh irons he uses a leather grip from grip master so he’s using a leather grip uh it looks to be the perforated version which has little like holes in it uh and leather grips if you never used them are extremely tacky they last a long long time they’re extremely durable and they actually get better as they kind of break in I’ve actually hit a few uh I’ve never owned a set but I’ve hit a few irons uh with like a best grip or a grip Master one of those and actually they’re really really nice so uh using leather grips uh in the irons and then when you get back to wedges he goes back to the Z grips so an interesting kind of combo there in terms of grip use uh from uh from Robert uh but then uh his ball is the Titus prov1 the standard prov1 I think back in the farmers he was using the prov1x but switched over now using the prov1 uh so that is going to be the softer feeling more penetrating ball flight lower long game Spin uh ball from tidalist and uh yeah that is his what’s in the bag from the 2024 RBC Canadian open uh yeah apologize we don’t have a ton of photos we don’t have everything in his bag we had some older shots of some of his stuff but uh you know just didn’t have a brand new uh what’s in the bag from him but congratulations to Robert that’s a huge win awesome to see and uh yeah that’s Robert’s bag so join us next week when we take a look at the next winners what’s in the bag
