it all down all the things we’ve talked about about Michael Parsons from the very start and certainly the things we’ve talked about as he has blossomed as a as a colorful some people even think controversial media figure and I get it Max he’s not M cap Parsons he’s me cap Parsons oh I get it but try this on for size St M fish for dinner oh and it’s delicious Big Mike goes big personality and I sat there and I watched that and he just kind of let that sit there he didn’t say a lot more about it Reed they should take off the gloves and tell him you can’t be a media guy and a player um and I when you use clubes I talk about gloves that’s how they’ve dealt with Micah maybe maybe Mike Zimmer will be a little different um Mike McCarthy did speak out last week and talk about uh the the wasted opportunity of Micah skipping OTAs yes it’s voluntary but Jim laws he’s just a kid he’s a 25y old kid who thinks he’s king of the world and maybe should tell him you’re you’re you’re not a king you’re culture far Foster these types of mentalities among players I’ve been saying it for years that’s hash 53 Brands CES Jerry’s the owner and the general manager in theory he calls the shots not Parsons right but Jerry’s presence in two ways allows this to happen one as I said how do you tell a player that he can’t Market himself when the whole building is about marketing and two and this of course has been a problem ever since Jimmy Johnson left if a star player has an issue a question a problem a request he doesn’t have to go to the coach not in this organization but having said all that big personality this coach worked with Aaron roders there is no greater there there is no player that I’ve covered covered a little bit during the 40 years that I’ve covered the NFL I can’t think of anybody that thought he was king of the world more than Aaron Rodgers and lot of UPS some downs and a Super Bowl they wanton a lot of football games Aaron Rogers and Mike McCarthy did so my working Theory if Mike McCarthy can work with Aaron Rodgers Mike McCarthy can work with anybody Craig Hutchins what’s this I’m hearing about McCarthy has had enough I saw that story it’s it’s a it says a source a cowboy’s former Personnel man says that McCarthy’s had about enough of Jerry now if it’s true listen Big Mike you’re on onee contracts you’re probably not going to have to put up with it much longer but I must say the writer I think the writer Tyler Dunn who I I know of a little bit I got to say when we do sources I mean I know all the cowboy Personnel men and I know all the former Cowboy Personnel men and in terms of cowboy Personnel man who actually know who who who have worked here in this era there’s only two of them so I don’t know and and by the way neither of the two of them are close to McCarthy re this is a good related question was red ball Jason Garrett was he bothered by Jerry you know what it’s a perfect question Jason Garrett’s known Jerry Jones for 30 years and knew exactly what he was getting into as the head coach here with tons of good and obviously some things that are different some things that are different about being the Cowboys coach uh the schedule the agendas America’s team the attention it’s different it’s the big stage plenty of coaches including a lot of people a lot of you a lot of not you a lot of critics who say oh he they never want nobody wants to work for Jerry a lot of big-time coaches have used the phrase it’s the big stage you work for Jerry here it’s a big stage and they don’t have a problem with it but you do understand what you’re getting into and Mike McCarthy no dummy knew exactly what he was trying to get into Lobo Mike is trying to leverage a business decision I don’t think it’s a maturity or leadership thing I’m not gonna I’m not going to bother with the leadership thing although I’m going to get to that in a minute with dck and Micah I would say that a more mature person would say I’m going to make a lot of money later in the media I can put my toe in here I don’t have to put my whole body in media I can just stick my toe in there and lay the groundwork for where I can be in 10 years uh Curtis fish if Prescott today indicated regarding Micah Parson’s otaa absence indicated that he had communicated with him and maybe even kind of asked him to show up maybe Dustin What’s happen of this country it’s the greatest country in the world what do you mean what’s happened to it would you trade it Dak Prescott on Zeke hey what’s it like what’s the mood what’s the vibe what’s it and his best buddy in the world said it’s the effing best this is about here we go brother hood and chemistry and but but let’s skip over the Brotherhood and the chemistry um this is about something that more than who the best football player is this is about the locker room Vibe the locker room mood does matter now it’s not going to get you a third rushing title but it matters uh Craig I’m not for I I guess I didn’t read the story somebody’s saying that Jerry Jones was calling plays okay I I I need to go look up that story on its face that’s absolutely Preposterous Preposterous I don’t even think there’s a physical way to do that by the way and by the way had Jerry called down to the sideline and started calling plays who answered the where’s the phone who answered the phone so without having read the story Jerry Jones has never in 35 years of doing this Craig that’s unb I respect you that’s unbelievable that’s somebody is saying that Jerry Jones called plays in the Green Bay game that’s incomprehensible Cindy I’ve heard people say that about yes you’ve heard that before because we’ve had Coach Jones jokes around here for 35 years it’s ridiculous on its face and it’s not ridiculous just because it just doesn’t happen what’s the structure of it how did how did it happen I’m going to look it up I’m GNA look up the story how do they say this happened Steve Burks Jerry probably thinks he can call plays actually no he he jokes about it he jokes about Coach Jones now he will say when I was 20 years old had I decided to go into coaching I think I could have he does say that and I don’t why would you doubt that you know was in football all his life and was a starting offensive lineman on a national championship team why wouldn’t you think he could be a coach of course he could be a coach never happened there’s no way it ever happened because because the logistics prevent it from happening David what happened to the Raiders interest in Dak no idea what you’re talking about there’s there’s not there’s not a way for Jerry to call plays from his suite Cindy there’s not a way there’s not a method Stephen what would prompt that story Jerry Jones hatred that would be the prompting of the mystery phone and told North Turner what play to call no no one of my lines about Jerry’s football involvement here is is The L4 that’s the position on the kickoff team and Jerry would go on the radio and still does and talk about things very specifically on Tuesday morning what what they did right and they did wrong guys every single time that was coming from he had been in a staff meeting the morning before and they discussed what went wrong well we didn’t get very good coverage on that third kickoff from our L4 and then Jerry goes on the radio and says uh Mr sea uh Mr Ralph uh uh our L4 it’s just showbiz Chris B Jimmy didn’t like Jerry on the sideline nor should he nor should he like him on the sideline it’s not the place the the owner doesn’t belong on the sideline on the sideline standing anywhere near the it be on the sideline over there all you know all plenty of owners and general managers do that but not like listening to the headset it’s ridiculous Max maybe maybe Max and St M maybe maybe Jerry’s the one who called that play where Zeke played center again before we go nuts ju just think of the logistics there there isn’t Jerry doesn’t have a headset in his suite I’ve been in it you’ve seen him in the suite you see what he’s doing in the suite you see him with a headset he’s talking with Stephen he’s talking with Will uh and he’s talking with John bonjovi and President Bush that’s what he’s doing in the suite it’s a party it’s a football party in the suite he’s not up there calling plays but I’m going to look it up maybe we’ll have some fun with that on seven 11 on 11 air uh hard to cover Brandon Cooks and Dak Prescott gets him for a touchdown pass and the offense goes crazy uh it it’s little pep and a little Vibe and a little Zeke item four uh you may have heard Big Mike talk about this this Navy Seals company uh is here uh how do you know which guys are the Navy SEAL guys they’re the guys who are jacked wearing super tight uh t-shirts those are the Navy SEAL guys and uh it’s worth noting that when Dak took the offensive guys to Atlanta to the lake last off season this was the group that trained him this is where here we go comes yourself in a positive mental Rhythm so those guys were at work today great idea um now it didn’t win in a Super Bowl but it did have them in the bundle of teams with the best offense in football Food quarterback coach no idea if he would have the patience to do that no idea uh and then again he would have to take a $19 million pay cut to go be an assistant coach and he’d have to work which he McCarthy does often what the coach before him did what the coach before him did sometimes at training camp what coaches all over the country do all they will will take this OTA day and they will surprise the team by saying guess what fellas we’re going fishing or we’re going to the movies or we’re going to play Jeopardy or we’re gonna go They’re not going to practice tomorrow they’re going to do a we’re g do a fun day a bonding day if you will and then between tomorrow and July 23rd and I put this on Twitter now so I I can let the cat out of the bag they are going to travel on July 23rd to oxnar and so from now to July 23d you have the most nervous time in all the NFL that’s one two three it’s 6 weeks six weeks of guys who since they were eight years old have been kind of told where to stand where to go to the bathroom when to go to lunch what to eat for lunch be at this meeting do this here’s your playbook and for the next six weeks nobody’s going to make them do any of those
