Leverage principles in the golf swing

greetings lovely day in Georgia it’s a Tuesday I played golf yesterday it’s early in the morning not even barely 70 now so I got a little sweater on but I brought this what is this this is a ler but it’s a new it’s got a ratchet which makes it really easy to use I just bought at Harbor Freight $15.99 I haven’t even used it yet but I’m thinking of golf and how Leverage is used and it’s amazing how the pros hit a 318 yards I’m glad to get 28 but I don’t use my leverage I don’t have strong enough leverage and also this has this has this extends so the longer the lever the more leverage so I’m going to show you how to use leverage in the golf swing so I want to give credit what creditors do because all these things I’ve learned as all teachers and students do from others over the years I’m thinking of the ancient Egyptians over 3,000 years ago how they constructed pyramids the exact how do they move those 20 ton blocks up so high well they were amazing even in that day but today we have cranes and there’s a crane arm and I took a picture of it and way to one end and then there’s cables and wow just fascinating to see them working up there at 10 floors up in the ey looks like prey and Madness but I’m going to use this to show you how we can leverage and I want to give credit to Bill uh Phillips Joe Barnes in Tennessee uh Brian Sparks who passed cancer two years ago in London England John Hensley in Australia uh Sean Clemens in Canada all me me my mentors I’ve learned uh and what I’ve tried to do is conceptualize it make it simple the seven-year-old could understand so this is a lever well golly how’s it work well I’m going to grip down to show you this leverage principle so when we we grip down we come around here and it’s a ratchet effect and what we have to do is shallow out come down under and through see how my head rolls under I caught right ear on the pillow it’s stay in place but it’s ratcheting under now as I do that my legs lower base reacts to this I could do this without that but if I can use it in conjunction that makes it much smoother and easier so down the line it’ll look like this going back you notice this is pointing about a yard above the ball but then when I come down see this is bisecting my right shoulder I have the SL split grip this helps if I had an axe I would start with split grip and then come down it’s exactly the way we’ use it a well we don’t we don’t start with our hands here and then join we start here and we want to have that feeling of that leverage principle so when I come down I’m just coming down low level and shallow under right my baby this goes out but it comes in and then the bar body clears so I’ll hit one for your amaz edification what this Ed 88y old body can do so I have a supply pine cones here so that’s what I I have six pine trees I have a wonderful Supply so I’m going to hit this face on with this leverage principle I got I’m 1/2 inch separated here Bill Phillips with a with a baseball grip is a great way to play this is this is a way baseball would be not like this or this this that gives you more leverage and US seniors certainly need that well everybody does I’m not hitting 318 yard okay so I’m setting up I’m going here my leverage and I’m pointing that handle out not there but out not there but about a yard above then I’m shallowing down down and I want to make sure I don’t hit my shed it’s going to be dangerous I haven’t done this this way but as I go back I’m getting this lag effect and then I’m leveraging leveraging point and leverage whoa The shed’s Still Standing good worried about that it’s 44 years old we’ve lived here this house for 44 years that’s half my age we had nine other houses but this suits us as where we want to be and to our last year so I’m down the line I got my Pine con so all I’m doing is starting this leverage motion Loop to Loop I’m coming around and I’m going to turn around and my right ear is going down skip of the rock so it look like like this and I hold that finish you’ll notice I’m at a tilt here cuz I have to tilt through here my scrape mark was nice and straight I hope that light let embell Alla moment epiphanies for you all this for my students and all my subscribers and I hope you take something away from this cheers have a great day love you all cheers

  1. What you just did at about 5 mins 9 seconds. “Lag affect”. Your hands actually move of the ball first then the club head in ultra slow motion.we swing the shaft and the handle no the club head. A lot of truth to what you are saying. Cool video
